Josh didn't see the blast coming and was launched off his feet by it, landing 20 feet away. Standing up, Josh looked at the man and shivered. He raised a hand and focused a massive amount of energy into its palm, before throwing it at Anton.

"Now," whispered Goltia. Grace nodded, then placed a hand to the earth and closed her eyes. As the orb of energy sped towards Anton, the earth beneath him suddenly opened up, swallowing him up to his chest. The orb sped clean over his head, and slammed into the dirt behind him, exploding with almost the same amount of force as the Thyrium explosion the day before. The shockwave knocked over several trees, nearly sent Goltia and Gracie flying, and knocked Josh clean off his feet. Not to mention it also nearly killed Markus and Jake by causing a tree to fall about 2 feet from them.

"You know, i don't think this job is worth it, at times," said Markus.

Anton grunted as the earth closed around him. He had not expected that. Nor did he know who had done it until he saw the two girls off to one side. Annoyed that they had interfered, Anton disintegrated the the earth around him, just enough to wrestle free of the soil and hoist himself back up.

Josh still lay on the ground, blown off his feet by his own uncontrolled power. Anton knew that the danger of using that much force, it could cause unintentional harm, kill loved ones... the kid needed refinement, he needed training. Shaking those thoughts from his head, Anton did not go back onto the attack, he looked over to the girls giving them a slight nod, no longer annoyed. Turning his back on everyone Anton started walking away. Law enforcement would be here soon and Harlequin did not intend to be taken prisoner by them.

At least now he had a goal, Jake had given him something, even if it lead to more traps and fights. It was something.

The girls watched as Anton walked away, then bolted from their hiding place and ran up to josh.
"I'm fine... " said Josh, who was in the process of standing up when Grace tackled him back down in a hug.
"By Gaia, Josh, you do that again, and I'll make you wish you were dead," said Grace, though her voice held no menace.
"Geez girl, give my brother some air," said Goltia, chuckling as Josh's face slowly when blue. Grace gasped, then released her boyfriend, who coughed, then stood up and looked at the approaching adults.

"This won't end well," said Markus, his face serious.
"I know. But right now, I don't have much of a choice. You're ONI, but you would rend the skies to save those three," replied Jake, just as serious.
"Look, if ONI find out about this, I'm a dead man."
"And we are all dead men if we don't do something."
"Okay, fine. I'll do it. But betraying my country to save my family still doesn't sit well. That, and I have people who will worry about me."
"I know. Now, shut up. I'll explain this to the kids," finished Jake, walking up to the three teenagers while Markus kept one eye on his watch and another on the sky.

"So, What you are saying is..."
"You're gonna have to trust me and my... 'friends', for lack of a better word. Once they find out who you are, WHAT you are, they'll welcome you in with open arms," finished Jake. Josh still looked uncertain.
"Look, Josh. Its the only way that we'll be safe. Once ONI finds out that I'm with you, they'll want my head too," said Markus.
"... Ok fine. We'll go," said Josh, nodding.
"Good. Now, if you'll be so kind, we need to move. ONI is gonna be down on this place like a ton of bricks in about 10 minutes. We need to be gone," said Markus. Josh nodded and stood up, along with Grace and Goltia. Then, the four of them ran into the forest, in the direction of Kahi City, leaving Jake to pack up and leave in his truck.
