"Thank you. This is truely way to much." Aleera said thinking intensely about how she could get something smuggled in to give to the delegates. She then discarded the idea as the ulthranis would probarbly have her arrested if she tried. After all the next conference was to be held on her own home turf. There she could shower the delegates with all the presents she could think of.

"No, princess, nothing else was planned for today, I am actually having dinner guests from the colonies tonight, and as lockdown is still in order, you don't have anywhere else to go really unless you want to stay in your homes?" He paused "Captain Paulinus, get the vehicles ready, oh, don't worry guys, the APCs are back on base so you have Lexus vehicles from the Rextans, they like to walk, so you have the honour"

Felicia was stunned with the generosity of her fellow delegates. "Thank you for your generous gifts, gentlemen. I am afraid I have nothing to give to you right now, but I will return the favour when my husband arrives here tomorrow morning." She nodded as the governor announced the end of the conference for this day. "I think we have discussed enough here today. As to the decision of whether tostay for dinner or to return to our house, I'll leave that to my sister Aleera." She looked at the Quendian princess with a questioning look.

Paladin-Governor Aurelius remembered instantly about the gifts he had offered token of their appreciation and to attend the conference in his house
"Delegates, before you all leave, i do have an Imperial token of gratitude" he rushed his servants to bring them their gifts and each was the same, For the male delegates, a Gold Ring encrusted with a Red Ruby from the mines in Cyinus-Drakus with an eagle, a bottle of Red Wine from Lucius-Drakus worth 200,000 NSD and old yet well-crafted polished Constantius .50 calibre hunting muskets used to hunt boars and fire drakes.

For the female delegates, they were given a platinum necklace with golden pieces and diamonds, a bottle of white wine from Peinau-Drakus and a piece of special Imperial jewelry.


That said, all of this came from his own PERSONAL collection of things that he did not require anymore. A token of gratitude and honour, it was Ulthranian tradition to trade personal items if they serve no purpose to them, but a service to others.

"Well my original intention was to attend the papal coronation tomorrow but I guess the lockdown prevents that." Aleera said not to sad about the fact that she wouldn't have to attempt presuring an old and supposedly holy man into submission. "Thank you. It is really way to much." She said with a nod to the Paladin-Governor for the gifts. It was however begining to get a bit out of hand in her oppinion. Had a senator or official minister received gifts like the ones presented he or she would have been immediately impeached for corruption. Of course as an unofficial minister Aleera theoretically answered only to the emperor and her own conscience but it was still a bit problematic that she received gifts worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. "Well if thats all for today I guess we should get back to the house." She said to her sister.

Louis stood up and bowed towards the Paladin Governer "I thank you for the gifts, I shall make sure to reward you, tell me do you drink whiskey?" Louis had hoped he did because he happened to have two bottles of famous Bladian whiskey in a box which Mitchell was guarding

"Hehe, yes, I have a bottle, I am a Paladin-Governor, the highest of the Governance of all the Empire, i do have my share of international riches, but I am not saying no to a couple more bottles" he said with a smile "and my servants love it as well"

"Perhaps I can interest you in two bottles of Bladian Whiskey, finest in the world" He said as he motioned to Mitchell to give the Paladin Governor the box, " I would give gifts to the rest of the delegates but I didn't know everyone else was bringing gifts, perhaps next conference"

Fekicia took the giftsfrom the Governor, before saying, "Thank you, your excellency. These are beautiful! I didn't know you had such capable jewellers in your nation. I had thought you were morethe military type of people." Then she turned to Aleera. "I agree. Let's head back and wait for Ulrich. I hope he brings what I've told"him to bring..."

Aleera noded. The first day of the conference had been ... Interesting. She got up from her chair, turned to her co-delegates, and said "Well I guess I am going to call it a day. I look forward to continue negotiations tomorrow." She then grapped her things and began walking towards the exit while ambassador Noor remained in the room slightly longer before following.

"Right. Let's go, then." Feliciabeckoned ti her attendant, who had already collected all of her stuf, and placed all the gifts in a rather large bag. "I'm coming, mylady!" Liz walked over to her Empress, who then turned to the assembled delegates again. "Honoured delegates, this was an interesting day, for sure. Much has been decided, but there is still more to be debated yet. I hope tomorrow will be as productive as today was. Good night, everyone." She nodded, gave a informal military salute, and left the room, followed by her attendant.

Roberts rose from his chair, stretching. He glanced at his watch, and yawned.
"Well, ladies and gentlemen, it has been an eventful day to say the least." Slowly meandering towards the door, he turned only momentarily to address the remaining delegates.
"Hopefully, the morrow will prove to be somewhat less hectic. Until then, however, I ought to retire for the evening." James began to head out the door, but he stopped and spun on his heel to look at the Paladin-Governor.

"But before I go, might I inquire if we will have the honour of meeting your Emperor at this conference?"

[Ulthrani]

"You will" the Governor hesistated "He is just dealing with colonial governors and statesmen, when the lockdown is over, we'll enter the administrative area and you will be meeting our grand Emperor" he said with a higher tone and a sense of grandeur.

"Now go, go to the ODSF operators infront of you and return to your homes in the communal area. If you wish to attend dinner here, the invitation is open"

James nodded, and spun again on his right heel. He began walking towards one of the ODSF operators, ready to travel to his temporary home, where he would be able to clandestinely contact the Britannian government and inform them of the day's events. He considered attending the dinner, but he hadn't slept in nearly 18 hours, which was a fairly long time for him, and so he decided to go back to the communal area and sleep.

Marie stood up,tidied her dress then turned to her fellow delegates.

-"Thank you all for the gifts.I hop you have a good day.Au revoir."

She then walked towards the door and suddenly disappeared out of sight.

King Gilligan bowed to the governor as he was presented with his gift.
"Thank you very much, from the bottom of my heart. But please, also accept this."
Turning to Capone, he took one of the gift boxes and passed it over to the paladin governor.

He then went back to his seat, made gave one last look to make sure everyone had their gifts from him, then gathered his things with Capone and headed out.

"thankyou sir i will now take my leave back to the accomadation" Louis stood up bowed and left, Mitchell followed after him but gave the Paladin goverenor a military salute instead before leaving

Philip bowed to the governor. "Thank you for the gift, I believe I will leave now, go to the hospital and check to see how my father is doing. It is a miracle that he lived at all in his condition." Philip bowed once again and left.

"With all due respect Osthian, your father has actually just been taken to a mobile medic station, they use it usually for training wounds for the ODSF operators and your most honourable count is being taken care of by medics, the area is under lockdown and its the closest place, i'll have your operators drop you off on the way to the communal area" The Paladin Governor said to the Osthian "but otherwise, all are welcome for dinner, otherwise, enjoy your night"

Choosing not to remain in the Conference Centre and instead return to their residence to dine, the Royal Party made their way back to the accommodation provided.

The two chefs, both former Templars, they had brought along prepared a small meal. The two Royals never ate large, lavish meals, Mathew because his time in the Knights of Edward III had taught him so, Edward because he wished to follow the example of his elders. His father, famously, could go days without eating, working furiously. Edward had a lot to live up to, both compared to his father, and his namesakes. Edward I who had hammered the Scots, Edward III who had won Crecy and started the rise of the English Crown, Edward IV who had won Poitiers, killing the French King and then taking Paris, who had continued the conquests after his father's death.

He retired to his room after eating, taking out the book he had brought with him. His father's memoirs, due for publishing in the new year. He wanted to better understand the man who had died when he was just 10 years old, who had fought the Ryouese, and who had ordered a million men into action to invade Florida.

When Felicia and her party got back to their house, the first thing the Empress did was to take a very long shower. She was exhausted. Her attendant, meanwhile, sat in the living room, went through the notes she had taken during the conference, and composed a protocol to be sent to the Imperial Governent Council back in Fort Aquilaine. The moment she had finished typing, the Empress walked into the room. Liz looked up. "Ah, mylady, good you're here. I just completed the protocol for the IGC." Felicia took a seat on the sofa, next to her friend and attendant. "Let me see it." After she had read through the mail, she nodded. "That's alright. Send it to Norina. Oh, and send a copy of that agreement about intelligence sharing to General Miles, of the AIID." "Will do, my Empress." "Good. Oh, by the way, has Aleera gotten here yet?" Liz shrugged. "I've been in here all the time, nobody came in. They may be back already, but I haven't sen or heard anybody."
