"Well, everyone's pretty much here. Do you mind if I hear your proposals?" James knew that the answer would most likely be a no, but there was no harm in trying. Especially if knowledge of said proposals would give James time to consider their impact on Britannia and her Dominions. James was fairly certain that Britannia's largely self-governing colonies overseas would need some representation during this meeting, so he would keep their best interests at heart as well as those of Britannia proper.

Reformed Britannia wrote:James got out of his chair, grinning broadly at Lynch.
"Ah, good to see you too, John! Bloody good to see you, in fact. Fashionably late, as usual," James said, still smiling at Lynch. A look of realization-almost as if he'd forgotten something-came over his face, and he pulled out his wallet. Opening it up, he took out a small photo. It was a picture of his wife, and a roughly week-old baby girl.
"I don't believe I've told you this, but I recently joined the ranks of fatherhood. There's my wife," James said, pointing to a smiling and joyous-looking Jacqueline Roberts, "and here is our little bundle of joy." His finger moved to the small face protruding from the rose-pink blanket Jacqueline held in her hands. The baby had been staring at the camera with an expression of wonder, as evidenced by her wide-open, sparkling green eyes-eyes that her mother and father both shared.
"We've named her Siobhan. A good, flowing Hibernian name." James stared at the picture for a little while longer, before looking up at Lynch again.
"What about you, John? How's the wife, and life in general?"

"Good for you, mate. Hopefully the bureaucrats well be kinder to you than they were to me. I swear," James trailed off, looking at Cavour, who was now reading.
"What about you, good sir? Do you have a family?" Looking at the man's age, Roberts thought that he must. But still, some people went family-less for the better part of their lives, or indeed their entire life. But those people were rarely diplomatic representatives.

Cavour turned and said to Count Sforka "No, not really. These gentlemen over here are talking about something concerning children. Little rascals children are, I have to say." He then returned to his book.

Edward looked up at the comment. "Not all children, sir. Some of those who would be considered such are more mature, as their station requires."

"Mr. Cavour, this is a diplomatic conference, and as such, you should refrain from using obscenities in the presence of bigger nations, as well as smaller nations. We are to be role models for those stepping onto the diplomatic stage, and cursing each other out on the issue of children is...poor role modeling."

Cavour ignored the Osthian and continued to read his book.

That's stupid shit you are trying to put foward to make yourself seem superior to me. And that goes to you too, repersentative from St Georges. Now leave me the f**k alone." Cavour got up, took his folder and book, and marched to the other side of the table, where he sat down again.

Now the Osthian, normally peaceful and calm, was angry. "Need I remind you, Mr. Cavour, that it was because you were hiding behind a giant nation that Osthia did not follow through in its attacks against you for your fiasco at the diplomatic conference. If you wish to have Osthian recognition and protection, then I suggest that you show respect to your peers!"

Cavour said to the Osthian, in a extremely mocking and nasty tone "Yes, Master. I do everything you say master. Please don't beat me master." He then returned to his book, and mumbled to himself, quietly "Snoobish little old fag."
