"Verily, milday, I shall entertain thy desires," the noble replied, "I shall further introduce myself as Sir Adrian Faust, The Earl von Magdeburg and shield-bearer of his majesty the emperor. It is my most humble honour and pleasure to acquaint myself ot your fairest disposition. Indeed, might I warrant the esteemed honour of conveying your majesty to the night-time feast?" He bowed courteously in a garish Silvian style, and held the weighted wooden door open for her. Naturally, such gestures were common, but Adrian often excelled in them. He was, after all, considered the most chivalrous knight within the Empire, and a hero of the civil war which had cemented the authority of the emperor.

"Thank you milord." Grace said as she stepped out the door and walked down the hall, leaving Sir Adrian behind. She wandered around the hall, then hearing a noise decided to follow it. She opened a door and walked into the dinning chamber. "What luck, I found it."

OOC: The emperor is courting his future empress, although neither individal has any particular love for the either. It is an arranged affair, and quite contemptuous for most modern nations. I will permit ninjas, but please refrain from god-modding. Cheers!

as small group of ninjas meet in secret planning a attack on the emperor and his lover, they would attack at the next best time and hoped to wound the emperor and capture the future empress(as bad buys do).

"Good evening, milady," Alric smiled as she entered. He was reclining in a modest wooden chair which was lavishly adorned with carvings of animals and plants. He wore a modest silver circlet upon his head, which was decorated with silver and gold flowers and vines. A silver goblet sat immediately in front of him. Along the table various nobles sat attempting to place themselves closest to the empress-to-be and gain some measure of favour. Fortunately, their social status and favour in Court restrained to much rowdiness. "My apologies," Alric laughed, "they refused to leave, and it is customary. Perhaps, tomorrow, we could sup more privately." He gestured towards a chair at his right.

"I trust your uncle has spoken at times of the Imperial Commonwealth?" Alric continued, "This is Lady Adale Gavell, The Countess von Hamburg." Adale, who was seated to Grace's left, smiled softly. Her long, silky, blonde hair was braided into a single loose strand, which twirled down her back. She wore a simple grey-coloured dress. "Good evening, milady," she sang softly. Across from Grace, Adrian had seated himself in his customary. "Milady, you do merit respect by your mere lofty pace," he laughed kindly, "You appeared quite nearly to fly through our spartan halls, which are much bless'd by your august prescense." Finally, Evelyn Forester, The Marchioness of Berlin, sat next to Adrian. No smile or frown graced her face, she merely glanced indifferently at her empress-to-be.

Besides, the king's closet, un-aligned, and typically unquarreling advisors, the Austrian and Prussian Ducal Houses were seated reasonably close to the head of the table. It seemed as though hundreds of nobles from across the kingdom had crammed into the dining hall for this occassion. The wealthiest dressed to fit their stations, while the more "impoverished" wore armour or simple yet elegant clothing.

"Ow' art thee, m'lady," a mischievous voice inquired from behind Adale.

"My apologies, your majesty," Adale muttered quickly, "Art thou in gracefull health? Might I humbly present the young baron, Elias Frieditch von Friedenburg?"

"Much pleas'red," Elias remarked contentedly. The boy seemed quite excited by the latest addition to the Court, although this might have been due to the tormenting scolding and reprimands that Adale had subjected the him to.

"Indeed, milady," Alric continued, "I trust you shall find our supping chambers rather jovial? Although our courses lack the more refined tastes exhibited in Austria, Prussia, and no doubt Spartinth, it would be my sincere pleasure to accomodate any whim you might have. Wine, juice, water, and beer may be served at your discretion, as is the privilige of all nobles. Our first course shall be a modest collection of cheeses and breads, the second a number of salads and vegetables, the third a number of refined light meats such as poultry and fishes, the fourth a boar and meat of stag, the fifth fruits and sweetend breads, and the sixth sherbert from the Andes. Please, do attend me and thus so honour me." He smiled and gestured to the seat once more, which a servant pulled out.

"Yes, my uncle has spoken to me of the Commonwealth many times and of the great vigor shown the Lady Adale." She smiled around the room, stopping at Evelyn Forester. Grace's smiled turned to a frown. Evelyn would not receive any graces from the Empress. Grace took her seat. When her soon to be husband went over the coarse she frowned. "I do not mean to be a burden and I should have stated with earlier, I am a vegitarian. I do not eat meat, eggs or milk. I am deeply sorry."

Alric offered a rather crooked smile and laughed softly. "I would be impress if you could indulge every course," he chuckled, "You may linger or skip courses entirely at your discretion. However, I will inform the servants to eschew those nicities which you find rather abhorrent." The emperor quickly whispered to a single distinguished-looking servant. The man scurried into an obscure entry-way and never returned. Within a few moments nearly one hundred servants emerged from that same door and placed food along the table. The choicest greens and fruits were laid before Grace. "Milady, might I provide you a beverage?" one servant inquired.

"My culinary servants most graciously adviced the procurement of rather Spartinthian brands of wine," Alric smiled back, "I do believe the might retain a number of such articles in the inventory. Shall I urge them fetch a glass or two?" The servant's quickly returned with two glasses: one for the emperor and one for Grace. "It must seem as though I am rather astoundingly eagre to please you, milady..." Alric mused humourously, "What else might your humble servant provide?" He laughed a little and smiled. Across the table Evelyn's face seemed as though it were carved from ice. "Pardon me," she mumbled silently to the nobles on either side of her, as she walked from the feasting hall.

Grace stood up seconds after Evelyn left. "What is with her?!" She shouted "Someone tell me this second why she is like this or I will leave this Empire, never to return! I haven't said two words to her and hse treats me liek dirt? I am an Empress and demand to be treated as such!"

Alric, Adrian, and various other nobles glanced nervously at each other, attempting to garner an answer for the outraged princess. "Milady," Adale whispered softly, taking her aside, "Such outbursts do not suite you well, and are rather contradictory to your regal position. Verily, I understand your indignation, but it must be displayed in a more sublte guise. As for Lady Evelyn, I can not state with definitive knowledge why she conducts herself in such an undignified manner. I might merely advise that you engage in discourse with her to establishe the cause for such antipathy. If you require any support, I am at your disposition." Adale bowed softly, and kissed Grace's hand.

She turned to her husband. "Is there a way to remove her from nobility?" She whispered to him. "I want her out of the government as soon as possible." She picked a few grapes off of her plate and popped them in her mouth.

Alric chuckle slightly. "Your majesty," he laughed softly, "Such an action would only antagonise the nobility, whom are keen to retain their positions. Despite her impudence, Lady Forester is a loyal and rather zealous vassal of the Empire- serving in multiple capacities. How ever, she does not serve any role in government other than the administration of Berlin. As for now, put her out of mind and relax." He smiled and then asked, "Could you enlighten me as to the principles of vegetarianism? It seems intriguing."

“Well there are different levels of it. I am a plain vegitarian and do not eat anything that an animal was killed for. Others don`t eat milk or eggs, which I do.” She ate a few morw grapes. “Could I please have an orange?”

He passed her an orange, and smiled. "Interesting," Alric mused, "Why particularly, pray you, does your majesty abstain from consuming animal products? It seems rather peculiar, but none the less fascinating. I shall confess such practises are rather rare within the boundaries of the Eternally Jingoistic Empire of Saxony Silvia, but I do believe I have heard faint rumourings of such preferences."

"Why would you despise a few of the gods's children, while simultaenously spurning others?" Alric inquired whimsically, "Besides, the consumption of meat does not typically equate a loathing of other creatures, it merely means that one has acquired a taste for such things. The harvests and meats acqquired for the purpose of feasting are either hunted or gathered by hand. It is regarded as a part of the natural process, if you will. Although, I do understand your rather pronounced antipathy towards eating animal flesh." Alric tossed a number of grapes into his mouth, and chewed softly.

Grace quietly finished eating and looked around. No one else was done so she took a knife and cut off a small piece of roast from a large platter. She slowly put it in her mouth and ate it. "This is, it's good."

"My dear princess," Alric began, "I do not seek to pressure you into something you loathe, but merely to jest. I apologise if I seemed forcefull before, but I shall accept whatever style of living suites your fancy- so long as it remains respectable of course. Please, would it trouble you to inform me partially of your own culture? After all, I shall accomodate you in some fashion, lest I seem a horrid beast." He gently bit into an apple, savouring its freshness.
