Alpha Quadrant;
BattleGroup Teuton;
Patrol Route: OUTRIDER X/1548B:

It was extremely rare for the Solar Reich to patrol further out from Beta; but it had come to this. The Reich was looking. They had it all planned out, and they needed...resources... The twenty-eight ships held a tight formation, the two Carriers contently placed in the middle; happily protected. The BattleGroup left no quarter un-guarded, they had learned that the slightest sign of weakness resulted in death and destruction. This was not time to seem weak; this was time for expansion and conquest. Alpha seemed so quiet...

The lead ship, [KM] Reichstag, sitting a little bit in front of the rest of the group gradually slowed to nothing. The rest of the group following suit, SAR Drones searching for whatever spooked the the flagship. It seemed there was something big out there...

"Commandant on deck!" was announced as Grigori II entered the CommandBridge.
"What have you got?"
The sound of paper ruffling filtered through Grigori's ears, as a handful of sheets were handed to him. He flicked through them, often flicking his vision up to holo-screens dotted around the bridge.
"Indeed. We know anything about it?"
"It's large, sir." The officer cleared his throat, "Nothing else."
Grigori pondered his next move, his eyes darting around the room.
"Inform the fleet we are moving in; shields up and weapons online. We go quick and fast if shit hits the fan."
"Aye aye!" came the resounding response, "For the Reich!"

Enter Cybie! EDIT: And Enzo, (just drop by)

gonna fast forward time to a point where i'm not getting my ass kicked

Alpha Quadrant
Starbattalion AQ1

Since their recall around the time of the Network's civil war, AQ1 (or the 1st Alpha Squadron as they had previously been designated) had not been given any assignments. Indeed, no Starbattalion had been ordered to act as a group for some time. Mostly there were just small border patrols along the edge of the Network's territory. AQ1 was to partake in the first official assignment issued by the Administrator since it took command of the Network after the Oblivion Tragedy - and an important assignment it was.

Their mission was to escort a newly constructed prototype for an FTL capable battlestation. This battlestation design, the Starfortress Casa Alpha, was intended to be the first step towards interstellar expansion for the historically small and isolationist Network. It was a way for the Network to project power while they searched for promising, uninhabited planets to colonise. It would serve two important functions; The first would be as a deep space installation for other races to interact with the Network without having to traverse all the way to their territory. The second would be to defend the Network's holdings in Alpha should they ever come under attack.

Casa Alpha was larger and better armed than anything the Network had yet produced, with it's central 'keep' reaching a length of three kilometers. The four 'towers' stemming from that central core were smaller at roughly two kilometers - yet their design followed a principle that had been applied to the earlier Starforts, which allowed them to quickly target an enemy with one of their many weapon placements no matter where they were located around the station.

And this was Casa Alpha's maiden voyage, accompanied by a complement of six light escort craft and two missile platforms, a cruise around local star clusters to test it's systems out before it was installed in a suitable location within the Alpha Quadrant.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the station was not it's size or it's armaments, but the fact that there was only one sentient mind operating it. This mind was sealed within the computer of an almost-new robotic body. It was responsible for overseeing the work of the numerous AIs and robots that controlled and maintained the various systems of the Casa Alpha.

This mind was currently designated as "Baron Alpha".

Once, it had been called Sten Varesh.

"What have we got?"
Multiple hands thrust multiple bits of paper Grigori's way. He looked around at the faces at the end of these arms, settling on one. He picked it, skimming through the information. His eyes widened and mouth dropped slightly as he came across the figures on size.
"Do we know what the hell this thing is?"
"..Well...No. Maybe some sort of deep-space relay centre?"
"Hmm. Continue forwards, open a channel, wide frequency. Hopefully they will pick it up."

Ship Master Greg Ryans sat in his command chair. He enjoyed sitting here after a good nap for a nice cup of coffee. This drink was new to him, but it was growing on him. Figures. This craphole of a galaxy has such a great drink. He thought to himself. The Ship Mind's hologram appeared infront of him as he took a sip.

"I'm picking up on radio chatter. The origin seems to be coming from a few light years away." The Ship Mind said.

"Who's it between?" Greg asked.

"The Außen-Deutsches Sonnen Reich of Dead Snow|BattleGroup Teuton." The Ship Mind replied.

"JSA? Good job Joyfull Begining. Young, set a course towards that chatter." Greg said.

"Aye, sir!" The Navigationman said. In an instance, the ship seemd to collapse in on itself as it warped to the origin of the chatter.

Okay. Seriously guys. I don't know if you noticed but the thread title says Closed. Dbrought I don't mind so much, but I'm afraid it is a no. Cybie and Enzo were invited by myself over the IRC and the details were arranged then. Maybe another time.
And just as a FYI, I will be getting your posts deleted.
Have a nice day.

EDIT: Tag for IC post once this is cleared up.

Dead Snow... It was a name he recognised from somewhere, long ago when he was still contained within a cage of flesh and bone. He sieved through his memory banks, trying to find any snippet of information that might aid him... And there it was. Dead Snow had been a fellow member of the Joint Systems Alliance back in that organisation's day. How odd it was that they should happen come across the Casa Alpha within all the space of the galaxy.

An idea struck Sten. Casa Alpha was to function as a place for diplomatic meetings and the like. Who better to invite to it's maiden voyage and test out the diplomacy suites than representatives from an old ally? He would even include his old name in case they had any information about him in their databanks.

TO:BattleGroup Teuton, The Außen-Deutsches Sonnen Reich of Dead Snow
FROM:Baron Sten Varesh, Casa Alpha, Starbattalion AQ1, Cyber Utopia Network

Greetings BattleGroup Teuton. I am Sten Varesh of the Cyber Utopia Network. I am here to test the Casa Alpha, a recently developed deep-space installation produced as a diplomatic hub to help extend my nation's influence. I believe that our nations go back to the days of the JSA, and so if you wish to be the first foreign visitors to set foot in this new station it would be my honour to play host to you.

A response. And they had once been allies. Time chews memories and warps them it seems. Memories are not what they once were. Confusion paced through Grigori's mind, pulling at long lost neurons, hoping to pull them together - reforge connections to memories and history.
Ah, there. He was content. He had the information he needed, dredged from the depths of time and memory. His pale skin, almost that of alabaster, crackled with excitement. Oh, he was going to further his career here. This was immense. When Grigori had left Atrum for this mission he had false hopes and a heavy heart. He knew it was going to be a year of nothing. But he was wrong. The galaxy, at times, could be ever so small.

Grigori had reviewed the message many times, his eyes flickering across the holo-screen from time to time. A faint image of the, ship? Was it a ship. Or installation. It mattered not. Eventually, he reared up out his sight with a sigh - time was taking its tole on his body as well as mind. He strode out of his 'office' to the commandbridge.
"Captain on deck!' Came the long tired out phrase. He had become weary of it, but, etiquette was important.
"At ease. Open a channel to our long lost friends."
"Aye."

With that said, the wheels of motion and advancement were set in motion. A diplomatic mission was scheduled and departed, excitement still clinging to Grigori's failing mind...

ETN Joyful Beginning
Charger Class Cruiser
Alpha Quadrant

A brilliant flash of light occurred about 1 AU from either group of ships. Following the flash, a medium-sized ship seemed to expand out from a point within itself until the entire ship was present. Greg was standing at the front of the bridge, examining the system he had just jumped into.

“Sir, primary scans indicate a group of ships that appear to be from Dead Snow.” The sensorsman said. It was protocol to enact a primary scan when first entering an unknown system, so he just did it with no need for command. “There’s some sort of space station here too. Possibly an installation, but it’s not Dead Snow. I think it’s…Cyber Utopian.”

“Interesting.” Greg said, walking back to his chair and putting the now empty coffee cup in its cup holder. “Maneuver closer to them and broadcast an open message so all of the ships can pick it up.”

This is Ship Master Greg Ryans of the ETN Joyful Beginning. I picked up on your chatter and warped here, in hope of recreating lost bonds between our three nations. If it were possible, I would like to engage in peace talks between us.

Greg new that both nations were former JSA members, so he hoped they would embrace diplomatic talk so it would go over fast. He hated politics.

Grigori had retreated back to his 'office' after his brief time on the commandbridge. It seemed he had grown tired of this life, that, or the life had grown weary of him. It was uncertain for the moment.
Drifting in and out of conciseness, Grigori seemed to sense the arrival of this new comer. It was as if the wash of the warp opening pulled him to and fro, the light seemed to blind his minds eye. Without much motion he pulled up the holo-screen, brilliant darting colours took form revealing what was unfolding. A green target reticule floating over the installation, while amber ones tracked the new arrival. He opened his mind to never ending space, the noise too much. He couldn’t do it. Not now. It was too early…

Grigori, once again entered the commandbridge. Waving down his subordinates he almost floated to the communications blister, opening a channel through to the new comer. He had already played the message over a hundred times in his head, gaining no new insight or meanings to what was obvious. There was no ‘read-between-the-lines’ with the Turgan’s it seemed, at least not here. Not now. He did glean that there were subtle hints of joyful hope. A plague on the galaxy. There was no hope. Only opportunities. Peace is a lie. There is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. Grigori wondered where this had come from, it as if it had always been there, lurking in the depths of his mind. What was happening to him? He was metamorphosing into something the mirror doesn’t recognize, an Ann Rice novel come to life maybe?

"Sir, we've received a message back." The sensorsman said. Greg walked over to the man's screen and read it.

"There form of writing intrigues me. I've never seen someone write with STOP inbetween the words before." Greg replied. That seems...primitive. He thought. "Send them a message back. Ask them where to meet." Greg commanded. He sat down in his chair and wondered how he would be treated when he got back home with news of meeting a fellow JSA member. These days, the galaxy is rough, and allies can help facilitate the daily threats from everywhere.
