Better late than never. When they'd first received the 'invitation', the upper decision-makers in TRIAD Enterprises Branch Office had been hesitant to even send anyone, considering the debacles several previous meetings of this sort had been. Still, the opportunity to formally engage new nations was a strong enough lure that a destroyer-class vessel had been dispatched to carry a small delegation to the conference. Only three delegates were selected for this mission, and initially only one would go down to the surface. HX-774-N, a Marduk which had chosen the name Hexen rode the shuttle to the surface unaccompanied by any guard or aide. The Marduk had chosen a generic Frame which could serve equally well in bipedal or quadrupedal stances, depending on whom the machine encountered.
Hexen's head tracked across the landing field before approaching one of the locals and getting directions to the conference site.

Accessing the orbiting ship's databases, Hexen looked over each of the present groups and searched for relevant data. Insignia, style of dress, inflections in speech. All were analyzed until an identity were confirmed, or in the case of the Ellecen, not. Terran Alliance, Raysian, Myenan... These three were recognized from prior encounters, some pleasant, some not so much. Another brief moment of consideration, and Hexen approached the Raysian and the Ellecen first, the machine shifting up into a bipedal stance to bow at the waist.
#Greetings. I trust it is not too much an imposition to join your conversation like this?# The Marduk turned it's inhuman head to look at Jason, #You are from Raysia if my information is correct. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am designated HX-774-N, however you may address me either by this or simply as Hexen. I am of the Marduk species, and I am here representing TRIAD Enterprises.# The introduction was aimed at the humans and the Ellecen, the machine sweeping it's head across the small group.

Jason smiled, "Oh, you say those too? I have to precede my statements sometimes just because people all the time misread me... I'm a politician!" he, laughed, hoping to establish common ground with his poor attempt at humor.

Jack looked the Ellecen in the eye and said in a deep, yet friendly voice, "Raysia is a cooler, cloudy planet... Beautiful, but cloudy. It is quite difficult for my eyes to function normally during bright weather. Do you not require any sort of aid to adapt to new environments?" Jack was now acting like the curious anthropologist he had once studied to be.

As the Raysian senator spoke again, he faked a laugh at his poor attempt at humour. "Ah yes, that reminds of a hilarious incident involving a dawn elfin president and emergency diplomatic talks a thousand years ago. I was presiding over it, probably keeping the assembled from strangling each other!"

"Explaniation. Oh no; while us ellecens prefer cold, snowy climates, our displacement at the hands of the moon elves - they annexed our home worlds and nearly hunted us all to extinction - and mass exodus to the desert lands of the orcish home planet of Zanzilar, along with our regular diplomatic visits to locations near and afar in the Systems, have gifted us easy resistance to most climates," he explained.

Jason turned to meet the machine-form man, "greetings to you as well, Hexen. I am Jason Capsule, and you are absolutely right, I am the senator from Raysia! I'm glad to finally meet one of you in person.. I heard of the Capsule Corporation's dealings with one of the many TRIAD enterprise organizations. Was your trip enjoyable? "

[Sethras Confederation]

The ellecen stared kindly at the small robot - for that was what he presumed it to be - as it spoke, realising it did not know of his people. Fu'ldi bowed his enormous head at the robot. "Friendly greeting. I am Serene Principal Aras Fu'ldi, of the ellecen species, head of the Serene Diplomatic Council of the Sethras Confederation."

I wander when this meeting starts and if I can get a glass of milk, he thought silently.

((OOC Note: Heh, guess I shouldn't just assume a simple description and picture always tell the story. Sorry for any confusion. Yes, the Marduk are a species of sapient machines, coming in many forms and designs. The picture there is what Hexen's current body, or Frame, looks like.))

Hexen made a second bow as the two introduced themselves, #Greetings Senator Jason Capsule of Raysia. Greetings Serene Principal Aras Fu'ldi of Sethras. It is a honor to be the first to officially engage your peoples in a diplomatic fashion.#
The machine's head canted slightly, #One of TRIAD's subsidiary companies had encountered some of Raysia's people before, however until now we've not had the chance to meet in an official capacity. I trust the Riplakish is functioning well thanks to StarLighter's assistance?#
Turning back to Fu'ldi, Hexen carried on the multi-thread conversation, #Again, it is an honor to be the first among TRIAD's people to greet one your own people. I am curious however, do either of you know who our hosts at this conference are?# Head turning to regard them both equally.

Jack looked up at the Ellecen* who addressed him, "that is a very useful gift to have," he said, trying to think of the friendly way to state their common qualities, "humans have to rely on shelter to survive the elements, we would die without them. There are some men who would love to be able to run out in the cold in their swim trunks." He chuckled, trying to avoid bringing up the sensitive subject of the forced exodus that the Ellecen had to endure.

Jack overheard the reporter beginning to harass the delegates, and excused himself from the presence of the Ellecen delegate party.

He turned and walked over to the reporter. "Hi there," he said, smiling as he stole his attention from the higher profile people that were outside of the man's reach at the moment, "Banada International, correct? My name is Jack Capsule, I've heard a lot about your agency. Expecting to meet a bunch of the Galaxy's big names today?"

[Leavatia]

A command frigate pulled up into orbit above the planet and a shuttle emerged followed by 4 fighters. The Shuttle and the escort fighters landed on a platform on the outskirts of the city, and a very elegantly dressed woman emerges. She walked into the building with 20 heavy armed, but very ornately dressed, guards with the emblem of the Loyal Defenders on their shoulders. The woman eyed everyone in the room before saying, "I am the Empress of Leavatia, My name is Monique D'Aubainne." After the introduction, she sat down and looked to the person to the right and said, "What have I missed?"

The Senator watched the woman enter with her rather extreme number of guards. He could assume from their presence that she must be of some major importance, if not their supreme leader. He shouted in a friendly tone, "you haven't missed anything yet! Come over here and get to meet some of the fine people gathered here today."

The senator took a step away from the robotic being to introduce himself to the newcomer. "Senator Jason Capsule, Raysia," he said, taking a slight bow, "pleased to meet you. Forgive my ignorance, but might I ask whom you represent?"

Jack smiled at the novice reporter, "oh, you know how these senators and delegates and world leaders get... occasionally they just need to do some barbecuing and remember what each other looks like... some of us don't get out much. This is actually Raysia's first attendance of this particular summit." He raised an eyebrow, "were you not briefed the same as the rest of us before you came here?"

[Phenixica]

Harren Frukz was the Grand Senator of the Phenixican Empire which meant that he was in control of the administrative part of the government which dealt with Diplomacy and Civilian Welfare in general. He was only 45 which was about halfway through the 160 years in a typical Phenixican lifespan.

The ship which delievered the Grand Senator was a Resolution Class Frigate, with the absorbsion of Zerus into the Empire it was best to make relationships with the many nations that make up the Milky Way galaxy even if most are seen by the empire to be barbaric and primitive. They think of themselves as a enlightned and truely civilized culture. The Phenixican Empire spanned a entire galaxy named the 'Citerian' and they were now planning on expanding their power.

The Grand Senator went down by shuttle on the landing pad and joined the others, he introduced him to a group of people (apologize for not going into detail about which group)

"I am Harren Frukz of the Phenixican Empire, I have come on behalf of the Empress to represent Phenixican interests at this...well meeting for lack of a better word"

Hexen watched impassively as the grouping broke up and the delegates moved about to introduce themselves. It seemed odd to the machine that no-one here seemed to even know who had called the conference, or for what purpose. Still, Marduk were a patient species, and could likely out-wait any organic who wasn't part of some contemplative monestary.
Hexen walked off to the side of the room and settled down on all fours to wait for their host to announce themselves.

I'm no spelling or grammar-nazi, it's pure self-interest. It takes longer to read your posts than someone who writes a full paragraph, or even a full sentence. Secondly, Hexen is not a senator, and you 'arrived' after Hexen did so how did you know it's name?

Uishikov was somewhat surprised. Typically the entrance of an imperial person, on Earth at least, was quite well announced beforehand. They made SURE you knew they were coming. He was further surprised when she took a seat next to him, which caused him to leap out of his seat as if it were on fire, covered in snakes and on fire. A moment of uncertainty was quickly broken by the decision that saluting wouldn't work, so he opted for a bow. His aid mirrored the action.

"Your Imperial Majesty," He stood back up, "Nothing much as yet," His voice was somewhat gruff, but carried the tones of a man typically used to jocularity before formality making a strong effort to speak and act formally, "There seem to be a group of delegates congregating elsewhere at the moment....Ahem...Grand Duke Alexander Uishikov, at your service your majesty...I apologize if I have not got the style correct, I was sent here with some haste and had little time to look up the particulars of all those involved."

Jack, the senator's guard, kept a close distance to the novice reporter. With a raised eyebrow at his antics, he tried one more time to catch his attention. "I'm sorry, but the delegates from the other nations just got here, and are far too busy to be talking with reporters just yet. The conference has yet to begin. Have you met any of these delegates before?"



Senator Jason was really beginning to get annoyed at the newcomers merely assuming that everyone would know who they were with no introduction.. the arrogance! Still, he tried to smile and be polite as he'd approach them and introduce himself individually to them all.

The Empress Laughed a little when the Duke jumped out of his chair. The she turned to the Grand Duke Alexander Uishikov and said, "why thank you Alexander, but you don't have to great me with a bow. I'm a very modest Empress, I am not as egotistical as Leavatian monarchs before me."

"So guys, who's in charge of this meeting so we can get it started?"

The Alliance Starship Enterprise dropped out of warp at their designated entry point. The United Alliance of Planets had received a request to attent a coference and the Council had decided to send Captain Jonathan Reynolds of the Enterprise to be their reprisentative. As they entered the system they sent out a hail to the systems control.
"Attention System control, Starship Enterprise requesting approach clearence and permission to send our diplomatic party to the surface"

Waiting in the Transporter room was the Diplomatic Party. It consisted of Captain Reynolds, Diplomatic Officer Jo Gardner, Leituant Commander McGowen and a Security detail. They waited for permission to beam down.
