Naval patrols around the Master M, Azura and indeed the north-west of Gholgoth will be tripled, and indeed reserves will be mobilised. So more or less, I'm ready for anyone who wishes to come and try and take anything from Azura.

I've fully mobilised and such.

I'll be operating out of TMM with substantial naval, air and land assets in a few days.

Wewtlandem, was wondering how many ships are in the relief fleet? Will be posting a response when I get back later this evening.

The fleet has been under satellite surveilance as soon as it entered Gholgothian waters.

There are three escort destroyers, an aircraft carrier outfitted with special aircraft for this kind of mission, and five transport ships, one holding troops, one scientists and their gear, one with vehicles for the troops, and the other two filled to the brim with food and water.

I'll be posting reasonably soon as well to mobilize the Abruzian Foreign Legion as well as the Legion Company in Azura's Foreign Legion that I control. (TMM I'll talk to you on Esper regarding La Legion Etrangere since you're the commander.)

Altimaea, again, you haven't answered my question as to how you've even arrived in Azura. You can't just magically teleport yourself into Gothic territory, you have to sail there which means there is a good chance you'll be intercepted.

AF, what is the exact nature of your blockade around NA? Is there a single ship within 100m of each other from shore to shore? If so, that would require a truly impressive number of naval vessels, and it would also mean that some sections of the blockade would be weaker, with an area comprising of aircraft carriers and another of frigates.

You can retcon whatever I did, because I'm not getting into a war with 20-odd nations for helping my ally.

As I haven't had the time to write a post since my last one, I haven't got the time to do the normal deploying posts and so on. As the game time has jump up say three or four days since the attack happened, my post will be a little messed up. I hope y'all will be okay with my stuff arriving in the edge of Gothic waters and so on.

Azura has a small coastline, and along with the navies from Novacom, The Master M, and Naacal in the immediate vicinity, it won't be hard at all to maintain a defensive perimeter.

Granted, it would be easier with more nations. Yet even then, you cannot afford to place an aircraft carrier or battleship every 100 or 200 meters. So, my question is, are your ships spread out to create this blockade, or are they grouped together in fleets with gaps in-between them?

Between RORSATS, hydrophones, AWACS, and OTH, we don't need ships to be so close they can ram each other. Hell, AWACS alone launched from the mainlands of Novacom and The Master M can cover quite a bit of sea, and whatever is outside of ground launched AWACS can be covered by sea launched AWACS. And of course our ships would be somewhat spread out, only an inexperienced RP would cluster ships together.

FYI in about an IC week I will have 80 supercarriers, maybe a dozen or so lighter carriers, five battlecruisers, 240 cruisers, 480 destroyers, 240 frigates, 400 attack submarines and lots of fast supply ships. Also plenty of amphibious capability, all this in five navies, each of four fleets, each of four battlegroups based around one carrier, three cruisers (two standard ('light') and one heavier missile cruiser), six GP destroyers, three GP frigates, five attack submarines and two fast supply ships.

All in all this is 5/8 of my entire navy, including all reserves. All those ships which would be away for repairs, refits etc. have either been temporarily replaced with ships from a reserve pool or from the other navies.

http://wikistates.outwardhosting.com/wi ... f_Ekraysia

This is a strategic ORBAT which I'll never finish, not much help but gives an idea of force composition. As for field armies (and associated air armies) to deploy I've picked at random the 1st, 4th, 6th, 12th, 16th, 26th, and 33rd. I've figured each army to have strength between 290,000-300,000 and contain 14 divisions (12 in 3 corps plus 2 independent at army-level), plus HQ troops. I'll form these into two new composite army groups, one for the north and one for the south. Each has a same-numbered air army with around 1300 aircraft, and each navy also has a naval aviation army of about 1650 aircraft.

Altimaea, I am still puzzled as to how you magically teleported yourself into Azura.

This okay?

Also who is actually here to grab land?

EDIT: Also 15th Army.

That is a considerable naval presence, but it all seems in order. You seem to have a very good grasp of military hierarchy and structure, which is usually lacking in NS.

I was initially considering a land grab, but with the erection of such a considerable blockade, my forces are purely there for peacekeeping and reconstruction purposes now. Creating a wellspring of goodwill among the populace towards the Dominion and such.

The First through Eight Legions of the Grand Imperial Army (roughly 2.5 million soldiers) are currently en route to NA, for an example of the make-up of a Legion, check out my factbook. They are travelling by sea with the addition of the Third, Fourth and Fifth Carrier Battle Groups.

Not here to get land but maybe a tech grab. But mostly here to RP NGO charity organisation as I build it up for future RP needs.

Also anyone going to intercept my Relief effort? Its just Wet's fleet is approaching really quickly and mine was closer by virtue of being Aerial based.

I would appreciate any Goth nation involved in the blockade to respond to the 500,000 Azuran troops under my command that are trying to return to their homeland.

Umm well I have been here since close to when the thread started, I used my AWAC post as sort of my relief forces landing. No one would have intercepted me because I was one of the first people here. (NEMA also has forces stationed near by.)

I'm sure that if that were true, they would have been intercepted; please bear in mind that I have constant naval patrols, air patrols, radar posts, satellites, sonar nets etc etc, and any deployment of foreign forces would be met with a kind reminder to stay out of Gholgothic waters. Followed up with a few dozen anti-ship missiles. And that is just me; there are 31 other nations in Gholgoth.

As an addenum to my prevous post: so what you are saying is that the alliance NEMA has breached Gholgoth territorial waters with armed vessels? I'm sure that many people would be less than happy about that, myself included.

I've never seen a nation in Gholgoth that has under one billion pop. I would just build defenses and hope for the best.
