In the bowels of the massive fortress called "Bronto Castle", located deep within the Saurisian colony on the planet Locksfound, Commander-in-Chief David Santorez sat in his office, staring at a lone individual who sat in a chair staring back at him. The figure was General Stanley Miller, one of Saurisia's most respected military commanders.

Santorez's bold yellow eyes stared at the young general who was unique in his own ways. Miller was a hybrid Dinosaur, a cross between a Triceratops and an Apatosaurus (his mother was the Triceratops, his father was the Apatosaurus). Hybrids were extremely frowned upon and were discriminated by their pure-blood Saurian brothers. But that didn't stop Miller from rising to the top and becoming one of Saurisia's best (and most desired by the Dinosaur females) generals.

Santorez said to the hybrid General "Miller, you know what you're here for, right?"

Miller nodded in response, causing the Tyrannosaurus to speak again "Good, now, here's the thing: I want you to lead 10,000 troops against the former Hayaban colony here on the planet, only a little while away from our colony here."

"Yes sir, Mr. Santorez."

"Good! Now, get your men ready, I want the operation to commence within 24 hours, understand?"

"Yes sir!"

"Good! Dismissed!"

24 Hours Later, 0430

"Archaeopteryx is a go, launch the assault!

With that, a sizable force of 10,000 troops, with considerable armor and air support, raced into the Hayaban colony, intent on claiming it for Saurisia.

Shortly after crossing the border into the former Hayaban colony, now the Republic of Locksfound, they encountered the tiny and entirely Human Locksfoundian Defense Force. However, due to the attackers' numerical, technological, and morale-related advantages, enemy resistance was swiftly crushed, allowing the Saurisan troops to move deeper into the tiny Republic, intent on first capturing population centers and then taking the areas where natural resources were.

However, it would still take some time for the Saurisians to capture the entire "Country".

Megatron was elated. Finally, the time had come. The time he could throw the Locksfound non-aggression pact into the slag pit where it belonged! It had irked him for so long...but now, Hayaba had been foolish enough to let his colony declare independence, and in the process, let it lose the protection of that agreement!

He rang the alarm at the Main Military Base, and ordered 1,000,000 troops to ready up.

The Decepticons were going to war.

Soon, they were through the Locksfound side of their space bridge, and the skies over the planet were blackened with the clouds of Decepticons in plane mode.

Amongst them were several cargo-bots, which landed in the Decepticon territory on Locksfound. Once the war was over, the raiding would begin, and those cargo-bots would be the ones to take the loot home.

At the head of the force was Megatron himself. For a long time he had been on Cybertron, and now he was itching for battle.

Soon, they found the Saurisian forces, and transformed into robot mode to join in the fighting.

OOC: Oh, okay. Bottom line is still that we get to raid 'em down to the bare sand, though, and that's good enough for Megatron! (I've now edited the post to reflect the clarification.)

Despite the fact that initially the Locksfoundian Defense Forces was defeated, it turned out that they were not willing to go down without a fight. The Saurisians were bogged down in the streets of the cities by LDF regulars, militia, and regular citizens who just decided to grab whatever weapons they could and fight the invaders for a reason that was at a loss to the Saurisian troops.

After hearing that that task force was starting to get bogged down, General Miller ordered another 25,000 troops to move in and aid their beleaguered companions.

It was grueling street-to-street fighting, as Human troops stormed buildings and cleared them of enemy troops, often using shotguns to blow their Locksfoundian and Hayaban enemies to pieces. Still, they suffered considerable casualties, all the while their Reptilian and Saurian allies remained out in the street, giving the Human soldiers whatever support they could.

Some Saurisians wondered this was what it was like for Coalition troops deployed in Iraq centuries ago, brutal street fighting against an enemy that looked little different from civilians.

Still, they continued up the fighting, unaware of the giant robots approaching the area.

Megatron found the Saurisian General Miller and landed next to him with an intimidating clang.

"It looks like you're having a bit of trouble," He said with a bit of a gloat. "That's what happens when you use puny human troops!"

"Instead of fighting through those buildings, it's better to just level them, I'd say..."

To add emphasis, he picked out a couple of low buildings that had no troops in them. Then he mashed them flat with a single stomp to each one.

"Who needs these toy-sized buildings, anyway!?"

(OOC: In the massive Quendisphere War OOC thread somewhere, there's a post that says Hayaba is 10 IRL and therefore can't post in II anymore (until he's 13, thanks to that new rule). So, he can't show up to defend. That's why Quendi was making his moves for him.

So unless Quendi decides to bother to defend this piece of dirt, this war is probably mooted. And since it looks like the Quendisphere itself is no more - at least, not in any form that includes Hayaba, it's unlikely that Quendi's going to be wanting to step into this.)

General Miller was startled to witness the massive 100-foot tall robot standing before him. Even a mighty Dinosaur like him looked puny compared to this iron behemoth!

After witnessing Megatron leveling several buildings, the hybrid Dinosaur commented "Um, thanks! You robots could help us lower our casualties, although the smashed buildings WOULD be a pain in the neck for us to rebuild, but eh, who cares?!"

"Oh, we shouldn't have to smash 'em all," Megatron confided, quietly enough that the defenders wouldn't be able to hear. "Usually we just have to smash enough so that the enemy realizes it's easy for us to do. Then most of 'em will chicken out and surrender, and we can mop up the rest..."

"It works even better when you have enough troops that they think the entire city can be wiped out with just one order."

With that, he gave a command, and thousands of Decepticons transformed and landed. Most of them aimed to land on some defender in the process, making the ordinarily-mundane event a horrifying and bloody spectacle.

"Humans don't know how to do 'terror.' They think blowing up one stupid building is something special." Megatron laughed in his trademark way; making no effort to hide his absolute glee at the Decepticon domination over the tiny defenders.

"As for the rebuilding, that'll be easy. To us, building things like that are like putting together dollhouses."

Megatron's voice returned to its normal volume.

"So, just give your troops the order to leave those buildings, and I'll show 'em what happens when a fusion cannon blast meets tiny little structures!"

"Oh, we shouldn't have to smash 'em all," Megatron confided, quietly enough that the defenders wouldn't be able to hear. "Usually we just have to smash enough so that the enemy realizes it's easy for us to do. Then most of 'em will chicken out and surrender, and we can mop up the rest..."

"It works even better when you have enough troops that they think the entire city can be wiped out with just one order."

"Ah, okay! I will do just that!" the General replied and, with a little bit of time, ordered all the Human soldiers in buildings throughout the city to pull out into the street to let the Deceptions do their work.

"You'll want to have them back off a bit farther than that," Megatron warned. "Once I fire this baby, there won't be any streets for blocks around..."

[Saurisia]

The General nodded and he managed to order his troops in the area to retreat to a safe distance, which they did perfectly.

"Alright! Now, THIS is how we take care of puny human 'opposition!'"

Megatron planted his feet firmly, raised his fusion cannon, and let off a blast that vaporized several square blocks.

"Ha ha ha! Let's see if they think they can resist us now!" The leader laughed openly, with his red eyes shining brightly.

Suddenly he yelled over to the area where buildings still stood: "Surrender now, or suffer the consequences!"

Turning to the Saurisian, he said, "If they don't, let's wait until they come out to survey the damage - humans can't resist checking out scenes of destruction, even when it's their own cities getting destroyed. Then, you surely have some hungry carnivores that need something other than freeze-dried rations, right~? Maybe some T-Rexes that could eat those humans up like M&Ms, wa ha ha!"

Chuckling, General Miller replied "Yeah, they sure will!" and he ordered the soldiers to move forward with the armored vehicles to pick off any Humans left over. So they did, and sure enough, there was a number of Human Locksfoundians, whom were quickly mowed down by the Saurisian infantry and the light support walkers accompanying them.

As they moved forward, the carnivorous soldiers hungrily feasted on the bodies of the dead and dying soldiers, much to the repulsion of the herbivores and Humans. After that, they moved onwards.
