Isvirn nodded and called out something in what sounded like near-German. A couple of servants appeared and whisked the bags off on trollies.

"They will take your bags to your rooms. His Royal Majesty insisted that you two sleep inside the Palace, rather than in the guest houses." He glanced down at his watch, "Anyways, I must be off. I have to arrange some security preparations for Unity Day. Her Royal Highness Princess Alina will be coming to meet you and bring you to the King. Just wait here for a bit; she shouldn't be long. Feel free to look around the Fountain of Eons. Its quite relaxing to listen to." With that, Isvirn got back into the Rolls-Royce, which then shot off and back through the gates.

The front yard of the Palace, so to speak, was pretty quiet. Birds chirped and tweeted, the fountain gushed and rushed. A few men and women in fancy clothing strolled by. It was very serene.

OOC: I'm wondering the same thing. Levi, you might want to address Redosia's post. Also, George and Sam don't do anything particularly noteworthy around the Fountain of Eons, so you can go ahead and skip to the next part.

Sir,

We are glad you accepted our offer. As such, we are sending a diplomatic team, lead by our Foreign Minister Franz Lefort. Lefort has more then 40 years of experience, and he will be delighted to meet with you or your leaders. I hope that our countries develop a close economic and diplomatic relationship, and may we both prosper here, on the kingdom of Earth.

Sincerely,

Immediately after sending the letter, Catherine I assembled the diplomatic team. The Empress informed Minister Lefort of the problem in Levichstein, as well the letters exchanged, and directed him and his team to open negotiations with Levichstein on the possibility of a economic alliance. Lefort said "Yes, Majesty", and then bowed, along with his team. They left the Imperial Palace and promptly boarded the Imperial Jet Potempkin's Wrath. They took off, heading towards Levichstein. They soon arrived, and the air control man said "Levishtein Airport, this is Imperial Jet Potempkin's Wrath, carrying the diplomats from the Empire of Grand Redosia. Request permission to land."

IC:

It turned out that Isvirn had really meant soon. Not five minutes after he had left, the front doors of the palace had swung open and a young woman, about Sam's age , came strolling out of the palace. She wore a set of dark purple clothing, the top piece was with gold trimmings while the bottom was trimmed in silver. Purple feathers stuck out from her hair, and her shoes (a style of high-heel) clicked on the granite ground as she walked over to them. When she spoke, her voice was soft, yet had a sharp and witty edge to it.

"You must be the Concoredians. Welcome to Levichstein Palace. I am Princess Alina Treishöum, heir apparent to the throne. Technically. Anyways, it is wonderful to meet you both." She smiled, showing off her perfect white teeth. Her hands had rings of various size and fanciness gracing them.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my lady," George greeted her as he bowed politely from the shoulders. "I'm George Bedford, diplomat for the Commonwealth of Concordeia. And this-" he gestured toward Sam, "-is my aide, Samuel Ryther."

Sam found himself blushing profusely, taken aback by how beautiful Princess Alina was. "Ah, um...i-it's an honor to meet you," he stammered shyly as he bowed from the shoulders as well, though inadvertently bending lower than George had.

"Technically heir, you say?" George asked with a hint of humor in his tone. "Does that mean that there's someone else closer in line to the throne, or is it something else?"

Alina nodded. "Well, it's not that there is someone else. Hans is my twin brother. Since he's on the throne now, I can't be unless something happens to him, god forbid. And since he isn't older than me, I can't count on him dying first, so I can't get to the throne that way. But in all honesty, I have no interest in being Queen. Princess is fine by me." She smiled, bowing back to each of them. "Now, we should probably go inside. My brother is quite anxious to meet you."

She turned and began to walk back into the palace. The main foyer was massive. The ceiling was one of the huge domes they had seen approaching the palace, and a clever ring of skylights and mirrors bounced the dying sunlight around the whole room. Various nobles strode to and forth, bowing as Alina walked by. She smiled and nodded, leading George and Sam through a massive door at the back of the foyer, which lead to another large room. Finally, they reach and elevator, which took them up to another foyer. This one was stunningly modern and simple, with a glass ceiling, water flowing beneath glass plates in the floor. In stark contrast to these modern designs were the two gold-plated wood doors, ornately carved with various patterns. She knocked on them, and they opened. Beyond was the throne room. The scent of incense flooded out; not too strong, but strong enough to be noticeable. A sweet, melodic tune also swept out. It was coming from the throne, where Hans was busy practicing on an instrument that looked like a long, elegant flute. Alina coughed loudly, causing Hans to start and drop the flute-thing. He cursed, then saw the visitors. His face lit up. Alina rolled her eyes and led them over to the throne. Hans was sitting there, in the gold and white robes, the odd hat/crown upon his head. With a friendly smile, he said "Welcome to the Palace. It is a great honor to have you here."

One of them had a bit of a faux-hawk, with light golden hair. The other had dark hair. The light-haired one walkd over to the diplomats. "Welcome to Levichstein. Alina smirked and Hans shot her a look. "That's a bit of an understatement. That airport hasn't seen any action in well near ten years. And the Vault is so empty that I could use it as an ice-skating rink."

"Thank you Alina. That's enough." Hans said. Alina flipped her hair and turned to George and Sam. "I'll see you two later at the banquet." With that, she left. Hans looked to the two visitors. "Apologies. My sister is quite energetic. Anyways, I to hope that any agreement we reach will be able to benefit both of our nations. And while diplomacy is going to have to wait until tomorrow, we will be having a grand banquet tonight. I suppose we can discuss politics there." Hans laughed.

Alderic and Johan got into the Rolls-Royce and started it up, the huge car purring to life and pulling out on the highway, which ran parallel to the highway.

Alderic turned to Lefort. "His Royal Majesty was most excited to hear about your arrival. He wants to explore every option for saving our country."

"Ah. Okay my good man. I will look intro the traffic in the meanwhile." Minister Lefort said, politely. He looked out the window and saw the skycrapers, the people on the streets walking to or coming from work. It amazed him. Although Grand Redosia also had modern skycrapers and people walking to and from work, he still considered the Levichstein urban area extremely modernized. For the next fifteen minutes, he patiently waited.

As the Rolls Royce quietly shot down the highway, Alderic turned on a television built into wall of the car. A young news woman was sitting there. Her hair was short and she wore what looked like a pant-suit.

"Welcome back to LNNA. If you are just joining us, I am here with political and social analyst Marina Lunts, and leader of the Coalition for Conservative Values Daemion Kilmen. We are discussing the recently passed "Civil Rights Act", specifically the parts that have officially legalized same-sex marriage and abortion."

The two guests started to bicker at each other and got into a very heated discussion. Alderic sighed. "This is why I'm not into politics. Everything is so controversial, no matter what it is." He laughed, glancing at his watch again.

Minister Lefort saw the television and was shocked. He asked Alderic "Can you please turn that up for me. I want to hear the part about the same-sex marriage legalization."

Alderic nodded. "Sure. Car, volume up." The car obeyed, raising the volume. The news anchor was talking mid-sentence.

"...from the Royal Institute for Social Sciences. Moving on, I have been asked to go over the bill, which was signed into law by His Royal Majesty the King just a week ago. Already, it has sparked protests from various conservative groups, who see Levichstein as a Christian nation.
The bill, known as Royal Proclamation 109 or the 'Royal Civil Liberties Act', was signed into law by His Royal Majesty after many months of deliberation with the Royal Cabinet. Although it has a large number of provisions, the most talked about parts are the ones that legalize same-sex marriage and abortion. The same-sex provision, known in the bill as Article 05 'Regarding Rights Of Same-Sex Couples', not only legalizes same-sex marriage but also gives them all the same rights as opposite-sex couples, including inheritance rights, insurance coverage and familial rights in hospitals. There are also sub-provisions that allow gays to openly serve in the military, as well as banning discrimination based on sexual preference."

Alderic snorted. "Political ho-ha if you ask me. It wasn't like gay marriage was illegal before this bill."
