Initially Guerrilla, and as Xin Han focuses more of his attention on your invasion, a standing army rises

yeah, when you invade, Guerrillas fight against Xin Han forces, who's leadership and supplies are concerned elsewhere, and by the time you guys show up again, I have a standing western army

ok, but i'd end up invading the peninsula as well

ok, what military tech are we using?

I assume Kage is using Japanese stuff, I think I will use American, what is Xin Han using?

I would imagine that he would be using Chinese weaponry of that era.

like what? I really can't think of anything off the top of my head that was domestic Chinese, I know they imported German stuff

Chiang Kai-Shek rifle is a big one. I don't really know what else they produced, but we could just stick with what the ROC of the time used (US+German stuff primarily). Much easier than having to design new stuff.

I may boost up my equipment to late war US stuff, like the Pershing and M60 tank......maybe the P90 Shooting Star

Look for a lot of Zeroes and aircraft carriers, and I might even pull out the Yamato for coastal bombardment.

Anyway, Xin Han said he'll be gone for a couple days.

gives me time to write up a factbook and organize my military......what will post war relations be like? I like the whole DMZ idea

right after, i'd probably say DMZ conditions.

However, if it continued into the modern day, that would not be good for you, as for all intents and purposes, you'd be landlocked. None of your ships could get out without going through XH's or my territorial waters.

International waters.....or, that could be part of an armistice deal at the end of the war

Do you want to be modern day friends like UK+US or enemies?

The only problem with that would be well.......I'm a democratic nation, and you are not, same with Xin Han, which would have explained the DMZ

would your high tax rate represent a more socialist approach?

Well that could be a problem, but again, Tiananmen Square. I think I'll be flat out executing all POW's.

Umm they don't write names backwards, just differently.

Replace the "m" with an "n" and it would look and sound better.

I mean would high taxes equal a socialist approach to economy...I know some p[layers choose to rp differently from what their profiles say

Well the feeling could easily be mutual.

I typically follow a system where the government props up industries that profit the government, and regulates everything else. (When I say regulate, I mean making sure nothing anti-government or things deemed "counter productive to the state" becomes marketable. Beyond that they don't really care.) Monopolies are commonplace, and most of the high ranking individuals own large corporations.

so kind of like Corporate Fascism......I'm pretty much laissez faire economics, could be another strong difference. Does your nation want friendly relations?

I don't really mind. Unfriendly relations could prove interesting to play.
