Xandra got another pot of Kardoni cream tea from the replicator, then wheeled back to the viewing screen. "Here."

"Let's do it!" Even though Xandra was still wheelchair-bound, she still had the same enthusiasm as when she first met Dimitri in 3386, when Dimitri's father was still emperor.

The viewscreen would activate, to reveal a room, of over 88 Senator's.

"Greeting's Gentlemen, before we begin, i would like to introduce you to Xandra Mæow, the widow, of the former President of Mewsland, and a great friend of mine, Mew Mæow XVI"

"Good afternoon. If I may, could I request introductions? I'd like to meet the men who are bringing democracy to more worlds. It would help cheer me up a little after the incidents of the past three weeks."

[Tierra Prime]

"It is a pleasure to meet you Xandra, I am Derak Valorum, the Supreme Chancellor, of the 4th Vacation Government, of Tierra Prime"

"Chancellor, Alan James, I am pleased to meet you Xandra"

"Xandra, shall i explain how the Senate work's?"

"Do you really think that I need to know about something that my country already has six of, with plans for a seventh?" Xandra chuckled. Mewsland had six houses of its Senate -- the Financial, Military, Internal Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Judicial houses <it combines the judicial branch with its legislature> as well as the Admiralty for the Starfleet. Plans were being made to add a seventh "main" house which would review laws from the five houses <the Admiralty would be connected to IA, to allow further review of their laws> before sending those laws to the President.

"However, I would be interested to learn about your Senate and compare it to ours, and provide some suggestions for improvement. I lead the Admiralty of the Starfleet until President Kine appoints a new Admiral of the Fleet -- the Admiralty, though not truly a house of the Senate, was connected with the Senate to help simplify the government."

"You are correct, the Senate, is essentially the same as your's, but I'm sure that you don't have a Vacation Government. This, is a period of Democratic Self Rule, declared by the Emperor, when he wishe's to concentrate on something, other than the Rule of the Empire. We are currently in a Vacation Government, the 4th to be exact. The Emperor can, declare the period over, dissolve the Government, and resume direct rule, whenever he wishes"

[Mewsland]

"The IA house serves as a vacation government of sorts. When the President and his cabinet are out of the Galaxy, the IA assumes executive power instead of being a legislative house, with the IA Speaker assuming the duties of the President."

[Tierra Prime]

"Ah, i see. I didn't think Mewsland would have any use for a Vacation Government"

[Mewsland]

"It's not solely dedicated to that purpose, but yes, we do have a use for a vacation government. President Mew had to employ that portion of the constitution fifteen times in his first thirty years in office. He had a lot on his plate."

[Tierra Prime]

"I can imagine. As i already said, this is our 4th Vacation Government, i can't tell you the reason's behind it's Declaration however, they are Classified"

OOC: The 4th Vacation Government was Declared, to give Dimitri more time to work on his Quantum Cannon.

"Can you tell me when it was declared?"

<OoC: Xandra believes that this vacation government was declared <partially> to give Dimitri time to come to Kardon IV for Mew's funeral.>

"Yes, i can. It was Declared Four Year's ago, why?"

[Mewsland]
