The Steel Fraternity has given me command of the naval forces, in return for command of my Stormtroopers. You may command your own F-18's.

OOC: If you want me to command the air force, I'm fine with that. I don't call the shots here, you do.

there's one plane you will NEVER control.

And what plane is that?

I fly a modified Jackalope VTOL, so as to command my forces with superior effectiveness, but when I get shot down, I have my faithful Hellhammer .50 caliber Pistol to aid me and the soldiers that I end up leading on the ground. it is a method better than deploying an AWACS plane, after all, AWACS planes can't cut up entire squads with a hailstorm of bullets, nor can they send a missile screaming into someone's house/headquarters, correct?

I may not have as much command experience, but placing the leader of a nation at the front lines, especially in such a vulnerable position as within a VTOL aircraft doesn't seem very tactically sound.

Lusitaniagrad is commanding ground forces, I believe.

Running that assumption, and that I am in command of Allied Naval and Air forces, as Lusitaniagrad instructed:

All allied aircraft carriers are to rendevouz with the Bellum three miles off the east coast of Lusitaniagrad. The Steel Fraternity's destroyers will escort them, while the submarines act as pickets around the main force. Meanwhile, all other allied ships will move to Lusiporto and Londresburg to secure them for the incoming ground forces.

[sarcasm]Yeah, and I personally fly a modified Fokker DR1 with a nuclear-powered jet engine that I use to command all my troops telepathically while using its twin vulcan cannons that fire mini-nukes at three thousand rounds per minute to obliterate all my enemies, before I land and use my super jiu-jitsu to destroy all the enemy tanks with my bare hands[/sarcasm]

Good work. Now, if we assume that I am in command of navy/air forces, then bombing runs will begin on supply depots and monarchist positions inside Kentuckshire at 11:00 EST.

Then, the Steel Paladins can attack the defensive hardpoints of the army/air base.

Once that is done, Allied ground forces can storm the base and city.

Is this agreeable?

I agree with this move. Have the F-18's fly air-sup. right before the Valkryies begin their run. While they are on route, try and supplement the carrier borne F-18's with the LLF's air force.

Don't forget to use those missiles from the Poseidon, they'd be extremely effective for precision attacks.

I've updated my ship's information, as well.

In accordance with the allied plan this is my ground attack plan,

At 11:00 the following will happen,
-Bomb raids
-Palidins taking off from an LLF field will attack the supply depot
-Tanks/pallies aided by LLF milita will surround the Kentuckshire Army Air Base and erradicate any imperial forces inside hopfuly capturing most of the planes inside
-Allied troops will storm Kentuckshire, take the bridges, and move to the city center.
-For the city to fall several objective must be cleared out,
*Imperial Communications Center
*Imperial motor pool garage
*Imperial Garrison HQ
*Imperial Police HQ
*City Hall

well, then, I hope that the frat boys can avoid becoming the target of my forces, and when I checked, his nation wasn't even at 15 mil population. that means I have a population at least twenty-fold his, and if I use everything I've got, he WILL fall. but even if that comes to pass, this isn't the time. a nation is in danger of splitting or having it's freedoms stripped from it, and I won't let that happen as long as it's in my power to do so.

For the most part, yes. But Paladins would be best applied by air-dropping directly into the base to soften it up for the main attack. In stationary positions around the base they wouldn't be able to bring their heavy weapon to bear as effectively as possible, and will be sitting ducks for massed return fire.

OOC: I'm raring to go. First military RP.

The Output glided into the mouth of Port Lusiporto, followed by the Tailwind and the Lollipop. The transports in their care began contacting port authorities and unloading their cargo of Derpedian Stormtroopers. For now, Captain Phelic was running a tight escort pattern.

"Soon, we will be joining the Steel Fraternity's battle group" he told his X.O.

"Until then let us observe the first time in nearly 6 decades Derpedian soldiers have entered a combat zone".

On the tarmac of the LLF air base west of Kentuckshire, the sound of the Thunderbird transports powering up their rotors was deafening, but almost matched by the tramp of the Steel Paladin's boots as they boarded the aircraft.

As soon as they were aboard, twenty Paladins to a Thunderbird, the ramps closed and the attack force lifted off.

They were much closer to Kentuckshire than the Allied fleet, but they were so much slower than the jet aircraft that would be conducting the bombing runs that they should arrive just after the last Valkyrie broke off to return to the Bellum.

-

Meanwhile, the Valkyries were going through a similar process of loading up and powering up as they waited for the rendevouz with the Derpedan fleet.

"Captain, the last of the transports has finished unloading the troops. General B. Ferguson has begun his march to Kentuckshire".

Phelic nodded.

"Wish the man luck, and let's hope they all come out as unscathed as is possible".

The Captain began issuing movement orders for the task force. They were to connect with the Fraternity's fleet in under an hour.

"X.O, please inform the air-chief of the Lollipop to begin launching his F-18 contingent to fly air cover. Ask for 6. Have as many as possible warmed up on the deck though. We'll be firing those birds out as quick as we can when we reach the Fraternity's fleet".

Sgt. Patterson look down apon Bridge 1 through the scope of his M-4. He then turned to see the so called force he had been given to take the bridge, 30 inexperinced farm boys with a hate for the Monarchy and a love for there country. "Alright, you there with the sniper rifle pick off the 2 guards on the left while me and the rest of us storm the check point". "Yessir! Said the farmhand white as a ghost.

As Sgt. Began to decend down the hill he heard 3 very loud shots. Dammit he thought that maggot forgot the supresser.
At least the kid managed to kill both of the guards allowing the Sgt enough time to grabb the detonator and defuse it before and Imperial APC came rolling down the bridge, and opened up it's 30mm autocannon killing 6 of his men.

"Klaus!" Said Sgt Patterson grabb the RPG and aim for the wheel just like I taught you this morning." This morning they only had a small amount of time before they moved out to the bridge, and the kid had not done so well missing the target by at least 50 yards.

The Patterson saw the kid take aim and squeeze on the trigger, and hit the APC right below the chasis blowing it to peices. However all the noise had attracted a lot of attention. "Take positions!" Patterson got down behind a cement road block and took aim.

In the cockpit of the lead Thunderbird in the formation, the radio officer addressed Centurion Nichol of Centurio 5's Paladins, commander of the entire Paladin force for this mission.

"The Derpedan infantry has just departed their landing zone for Kentuckshire, but the Derpedan fleet hasn't made the RV with the Bellum yet. Should we delay?"

Nichol considered briefly, then shook his head. "Continue as planned, Lieutenant. The Derpedan's should still be able to keep the schedule."

-

Aboard the bridge of the Deus Ex Bellum, Captain Harald asked his comms officer to check on the ETA and current location of the Derpedan fleet. With the Valkyries still idling on the flight deck, they burned fuel every second that they desperately needed to reach Kentuckshire; it was on the very edge of their service range.

A rush of air and explosion of turbo jet engines resounded across the coast as Derpedian Air Froce F-18's launched from the deck of the Lollipop.

One after the other, the craft sped of into the sky, running a multi-elevation escort and intercept pattern.

"Red one, call signs please"

- "Red Two, here"
- "Red three, online"
- "Red 4, coming about. elevation 7 000 and climbing"

The last two fighters had yet to take off.

"ETA with Fraternity fleet, 15 minutes".

"Sir, I don't think we'll make it. Should we begin launching all aircraft?"

"Yes, get those birds in the air. Notify our escort group to begin their Air-Sup run over Kentuckshire and rely that information to the Bellum".

"Yes sir, right away Captain".

Civilians who weren't hiding in their basement were deafened as one after another, F-18's launched into the sky. Red Group was currently on their way to Kentuckshire, while Blue group ( consisting of 8 F-18's) were preparing to escort the Valkryies off the Bellum.

"This is Blue Leader to Bellum command, you may begin your launch pattern".

-

Meanwhile, over the airways of Kentuckshire...

"Red Three this is Red One, do you copy"

"Rodger Red One, this is Three"

"Are you reading the same scan as I am? Looks like the majority of Imperial jets aren't off the ground. Minimal heat signatures for engines as well".

"Red one I'm reading the same. Maybe we've caught them with their pants down, over".

"Sir!" yelled the young ensign at the radio console on the bridge of the Bellum. "The Derpedan fleet is still en route, but they've just launched their F-18s"

Without even bothering to acknowledge the young officer's breach of protocol by simply shouting at the captain instead of relaying the information to the main comms officer first, Captain Harald whirled to face the Flight Commander. "Get you Valkyries in the air, immediately!"

-

With an earsplitting roll of thunder, seventy of the Steel Fraternity's mightiest war machines rocketed from the flight deck and into the air. They were on their way to Kentuckshire and had mayhem on their minds.

Following Blue Group, Green and Gold fired of the Lollipop's deck. 30 F-18's now made there way in box escort pattern along side their Fraternity comrades. Green ran High Alt cap, Blue lead, and Gold had the rear. The noise of thunder rolled over New Lusitiniagrad.

-
Over the Kentuckshire Imperial Air Base

"Red One this is Red Two, over. SAM missile sites detected. Should we engage?"

"Two this is Red one. Let's rip those sites apart. All planes, safety off. Don't stop till the fat lady sings".

"Sir," the comms lieutenant said to Nichol. "The Derpedan fighters are reporting that the Imp airforce is still on the tarmac. They don't even have their engines gunned up."

It took only a moment for Nichol to become very, very scared. No military commander would be foolish enough to not have their planes ready to go 24-7 in a situation like this, no matter how peaceful their country may have been before.

"They're decoys!" he shouted. "Change our flight path, circle around to approach the city from the south!"

The pilot glanced over his shoulder, confused. "But sir-"

"Sir!" yelled the radar officer. "We have bogeys inbound, dozens at least, maybe hundreds!"

"Go evasive!" said Nichol. "Call for help! Call the Derpedans, call the Valkyries! Get us support!"

They had stumbled right into a trap, and the Imperial air force was descending on them, and there wasn't a friendly jet in sight.
