Silista is itself a Crown Colony of the Emperor of the Chinese Federal Empire, Inc. However, we are NOT affiliated with the gov-corp. of the Chinese Federal Empire, Inc. even though the CEO of the CFE, Inc. happens to reside in the same physical body of the Emperor (two different legal persons, one single body). You could ask the Emperor for colonial status, but defense is problematic. The Imperial Marines, which defend against threats to the Empire, are forbidden by the Imperial Federal Constitution from interfering in the personal matters of the Emperor. Our citizens normally buy milware produced by the Empire, and train daily (or at least weekly) in Live Fire Arenas set up for the purpose (you must sign waivers to participate in the LFA's, of course). Our only formally trained and organized force is the Corps of Cultural Attaches, which will latch onto random strangers and expound to them at length on the ancient and illustrious history of the Sahrawi people.

We would be happy to have you join us as fellow Crown Colonists, though we must warn you that the Emperor will run your economy personally (as King Leopold did in the Congo) through a holding corp set up for that purpose. He will attempt to increase your infrastructure and economic wherewithal as quickly as possible, so as to regain his investment credits, as well as the two percent of GDP which will be his perpetual dividend from your economic growth (the only form of taxation allowed within the Empire, by the way).
If this meets with your approval, we would be happy to set up a meeting between your leaders and the Emperor. He is not currently participating in NS, though we are acting as his proxy for such matters.
