A new dawn for Kriezystan.

Postby Kriezystan » Tue May 12, 2009 4:24 pm

Kriezystan National News
13th March 2009
Victory for the Peoples party.

Today marks a turnaround in our national history. The old, facist and corrupt government of yesteryear has been overthrown.Deniska Ivanov and the Peoples Party of Kriezystanh has finally come to power after the long and bloody struggle which has embroiled our nation for 5 years. In a national address following the seizure of the Goverment building Deniska Ivanov had this to say:
My Comrades, My friends and my allies. We as proud citizens of Kriezystan are finally able to remove the shackles which have, for so long, weighted us down. We are finally free. The pathetic wretch we called President failed us and for that he will pay. But today we celebrate. Now we as a nation can finally prosper and end the petty wars that are going on with our neighbouring countries and forge new alliances with other nations and leave a much more financially stronger country for our children than the country which was left for us..

13th March has been named a national holiday and the revolutionary troops have been told to lay down their arms and join in with the celebrations while a stark warning has gone out to the 4 government ministers ,who fled the Government building and are now in hiding, to give themselves up.

Unity Hall, Chambers:

The slight clapping noise of Chancellor Hanson's black dress shoes on the marble floor caught Silas's attention, "Your Majesty." The King turned towards Hanson, "Yes Chancellor?" Hanson placed a manila envelope on the Kings crescent shaped table, "This is a report on a nation called Kriezystan your Majesty. They recently had some sort of revolution and overthrew there former fascist and corrupt government, or at least that's what there saying." Silas opened the envelope, skimming threw it quickly, "This is hardly worth my time Chancellor." Hanson's nervous side slowly came to the surface, "Yes...well I...I...thought that umm, you'd like to know your Majesty." Silas starred at the Chancellor, "Good man, but next time Chancellor, please interrupt my work with a more substantial issue." Hanson straightened his tie, "Of course your Majesty, but what about the issue?" The King waved his hand, "I'll Send a communique stating are support for the new government, and ask if they need any support at all."
"Very well, your Majesty."

Bunker underneath the Government building.
"Gentlemen, welcome. You need not introduce yourselves for i know who you are and men of your stature need no introduction"
Deniska Ivanov smiled slightly and relaxed in his leather chair. He peered at the seven men lined up before him. Among the group stood the Former president of Kriezystan, battered and bruised.
"I trust you know what you are all here for, so i will not bore you with the details." Ivanov said dryly.
He nodded to the armed men dressed in drab clothing near the doors. They both bowed their heads and walked outside the bunker, closing the doors after them.

Deniska itched around his stubble then stood up before pointing to the former president.
"Yes..I feel it fitting that you, the pig that started all this should be first."
The former president looked at Deniska and tried to stutter out a sentance.
"Shh.No words Mr President. This hour does not need them. You know what you have done. So you know the consequences."
Ivanov chuckled a bit before pulling out his magnum. He placed it against the former presidents head and dug it deep into the skin.
"Well Mr President.I must apologise. But your period of usefulness has run out.
Deniska pulled the trigger and watched as blood splattered over the wall and the other men stood there.
Ivanov laughed and pointed the trigger at the others.
"Who's next?"
All were silent.
"Ah whatever.."
He waved them off and left the room pausing near one of the armed guards.
"Finish off the others in there, dispose of the bodies and tell the press they were shot escaping from the prison camps."
The guard nodded and walked into the Bunker.
Several shots rang out and the sound of bodies falling was heard.
Satisfied, Deniska Ivanov walked back up to his office and settled in the chair behind the desk.
He sniffed the air.A vague scent of death seemed to hang around the room.
Ivanov shrugged this off and attended to the letters in his intray.
"Hmm, A letter from Gilboa 'eh?"
He opened the letter and briefly read it.
He pussed down on the intercom button and spoke into it.
"Nikolai, please compose a nice letter to dear King Benjamin."
"Yes sir." The voice replied.

Official Kriezystan communique
From: Deniska Ivanov, President of Kriezystan
To: King Silas Benjamin, Kingdom of Gilboa

I thank you for your encouraging words and your offer of assistance, such a thing is a rareity in these modern times. My comrades have worked hard to overthrow the facist's who once controlled us. Now we are finally ready to step up to the global plate and be recognized.
We do require assistance in one place. Medicinal supplies are at a record low and following the war, we have no factories which haven't been converted to munitions factory nor the proper herbs to create such medicines. We require enough medicinal supplies to befit the needs of roughly 100,000 people.I would be glad to cover any expenses incurred on your side.
Thank you again for your kind words and i hope the bonds between our nation only grows stronger over time.

Sincerly,
Deniska Ivanov

Altar Mansion, Shiloh:

The King sat comfortably in the Dining room, enjoying a nice steak with his family. Several invited Ministers and religious leaders were in attendance as well, each one honored to dine with the King himself. As Altar's caretakers started to serve desert, one of them passed an envelope to Silas. He quickly took it and reaped the envelope open. Inside contained the response from Deniska. He was surprised that the man had even responded to his communique, let alone ask for assistance. Silas grabbed a pen from his suit pocket and flipped the message over, on the back he wrote, "Respond back, say that we will bring medical supplies shortly." He then gave the paper back to the caretaker and told him to give it to the Chancellor. As the Caretaker walked out of the room, Silas started to dig into the cake put before him.

I'm glad that friendship between are two nations is starting to take shape. I hope your step onto the world stage will only benefit your country and help it to continue to grow and prosper. On the issue of medical supplies, I would be glad to help. C-17's from the RAF could be there within a few hours, each one packed full of medical supplies and the means to distribute them. Just tell them where to land and they'll come, simple as that. I hope this act helps to strengthen are relations and lead us towards a lasting friendship.

President Mehmet Ceau called a meeting of the central committee to address the issue of the Peoples Revolution in Kriezystan
All were standing and clapping in unison. At the back of the hall some here waving peices of red cloth and chanting in time with the beat of the clapping "Our Pride and Esteem Mehmet, Bulgislavia! Our Pride and Esteem Mehmet, Bulgislavia"

Mehmet stood on the podium and soaked up the sound of the hall and then lifted a hand and they all sat down
"There is no question about it. We will fully recognize the new Peoples Government in Kirezystan and thier peoples revolution as legitimate. I shall write a letter to our comrades in Kriezystan that Bulgislavia does support thier revolution!"
The Hall once again stood and began clapping in unison and chanting the traditional chant of "Our pride and esteem Mehmet, Bulgislavia"

The Meeting was over and Mehmet was walking with Humar his right hand man down the large grandous corridors of the Hall of the Party (Renamed Palace of the Revolution in January)
"These period of Transition are always the hardest, you have to clense the nation of opposition and that never sits well with the west. 63 years of communism Comrade Humar and they still have embargoes against us. You know I still remember the 'Arduous March' of the 1990's and the suffering we endured becuase the west was determined to see us collapse but we didnt. We will support these comrades and their revolution and we must let them know we must stick together and that they can find friends in Terevesti"

(OOC: Terevesti is the capital of Bulgislavia and the 1990's are refered to in Bulgislavia as the "Arduous March" becuase the USSR collapsed and we lost our biggest aide donnor and we fell into economiuc decline and famine)

To our Comrades in Kriezystan

I Comrade President of Bulgislavia and General Secretary of of the Bulgislavian Communist Party congradulate you on liberating yourselves from the capitalist roachers that sat in your parliament. We fully support and recognize your peoples revolution and fully support Socialization in your country. We are not economically "up there" so we cant donate much help but we will be together in solidarity in surviving a hostile world. Bulgislavia has known 63 years of being an international Pariah but we will survive. We recently confiscated all modern styled clothing late last year (All Bulgislavian's now wear clothing styles reminiscent of the 1950's, its all the state controlled factories produce) We are willing to transport these cloths to poor families in Kriezystan, Together in solidarity.

Yours Sincerily
Mehmet Ceau

..................................................................................

Bulgislavians were surprised to see a peice of international news in the State News Paper the "Voice of the People"
Usually is just dedicated pages to Mehmets achievments and glorifying the party and its image and domestic events. It was rare for a peice of international news to make the front page but the revolution in Kriezystan made headlines. The article talked about hos "World Revolution is possable and is progressing"
and that the superior socialist planned economy was the only way to prosperity and economic freedom. A line formed by citizens to enter the shop and buy thier groceries. It stretched outside, beneath a portrait of Mehmet that sat above the doorway. Bulgislavian's always read the papers while waiting in queues

Ivanov sat quietly in the still unrepaired office in the government building watching the smoke from the several fires still raging in the Capitol rise up and mingle with the dark rain clouds.
A small knock gained his attention, it was one of the troops normally sent to guard the outside of his office.
"Yes?"Deniska questioned.
"Mr Ivanov. We have received two letters addressed to you.I think one may be a letter back from Gilboa, the other i do not know."
"Never mind what you think,Pass those letters here and get back to your duty."Deniska said before taking the letters from the soldiers hands.
The Soldier bowed a little before walking out.
Ivanov scowled after him."Idiot.." He whispered.
Picking up the knife that lay on the desk before him, he cut open the letters and laid them both out infront of him.
He read both quickly and set about composing a reply to them.

I must thank you for accepting my plee for medicinal supplies. The C-17's will be asked to arrive at Fort Alekasi. Co-ordinates will be transmitted to your pilots following their entry into our aerospace.
From there a few of my Colonels and soldiers will take it to where it is needed the most.
I must display my gratitude for this act. Maybe when we have healed the sick and wounded, we can finally start to rebuild the mess around us.

Deniska Ivanov

I thank you for the congratulations you have given me and the reassuring words but without the many men who gave their lives this would still be a pipe dream.
When Kriezystan is finally rebuilt we can finally stop being the plaything to the Super nations who border us, and become a better nation as a whole.

Royal Air Force Station Shiloh:

The Tarmac was alive with activity, Loading crews moved like clockwork as each Globemaster was quickly and efficiently packed to the bream. A Flight Lieutenant by the name of Catherine Bennett walked out towards her transport with the rest of her crew. She would be leading this little journey across the pond, an assignment she took with little enthusiasm. As she walked, a Chief Technician made his way over. The Chief wore the basic Nutria colored fatigues that all of the loading crews had. He stopped suddenly, giving the Flight Lieutenant a crisp salute, "Ma'am." Catherine quickly returned the salute, "Chief." The Chief lowered his arm, following Catherine’s lead, "Ma'am, everything is just about ready to go. All we have to do is load a few more crates into your aircraft and you'll be all set."
"Very well, carry on Chief."
"Yes Ma'am." The Chief saluted Catherine one last time, before making an about face towards the aircraft parked on the tarmac. Catherine’s Co-Pilot and second in command chuckled to himself, which prompted her dirty look, "What’s so damn funny Arnold?" she said in a ever increasing tone. A wide smile filled the Co-Pilots face, "Nothing, nothing at all. I just didn't think you'd ever become a leader Catherine." The Flight Lieutenant scuffed at that comment, "Well, to tell you the truth Arnold, I didn't either."

Several minutes later, Catherine and her small crew were inside there C-17. In the cockpit, Catherine and Arnold were finishing there routine system checks going over fuel gauges, flight control's, electrical systems and so on. Meanwhile, down in the cargo bay, the Loadmaster of the crew could be seen double-checking and triple checking the contents that they had stored inside. As he finished marking off the last crate on his clipboard, Catherine came over the PA, "You done yet back there? I'd like to get going sometime today." The Loadmaster grabbed his headset and pressed the TALK button, "All set back here." The Globemaster's engines fired up at that moment, "Good, now strap yourself in Donald."
"Can do Catherine." The Flight Lieutenant slowly started to taxi down towards the runway. She made a wide right turn and then settled into her start position. In her headset, the control tower crackled in, "Control Tower to Airbus 1, you are cleared for take off on runway 12." Catherine pressed her TALK button, "Copy that Control, Airbus 1 over and out." Almost immediately she hit the throttle, sending the C-17 screaming down the runway. Slowly, the plane began to rise. It then took off, into the sky above. Behind Airbus 1, the other Globemaster's made there way down the track, until all of them where in formation high in the heavens above. Catherine looked to her right and was happy to see the rest of the transports following next to her, waiting for orders. She quickly pressed TALK, "All right boys and girls, off to Kriezystan." The formation banked right, changing their course.

Colonel Gatski and the rest of his squad at Fort Alekasi waited quietly. Sitting on the uncleared wreckage that had been hastily cleared from the two runways to make space for the apporaching Gilboa Aircraft.
Gatski took the cigarette out of his mouth and stubbed it on the charred metal of the helicopter.
"Nilitz, Banska, when you see the Planes approach go get the Jeeps. The rest of you start unloading the planes till they arrive. I want this quick, remember, its our brothers out there that need it. Not some Government fat cat!"
The Soldiers nodded in agreement.

En route to Fort Alekasi:

Catherine sat at the controls monitoring the flight path, it was the same thing she'd been doing for the past couple of hours. To Catherine, the hardest part about being a taxi driver wasn't the flying into hostile terrain with nothing to defend yourself with except for a few pretty lights and pieces of debris; no, for Catherine it was all about the monotonous flights across the pond. She absolutely detested the idea of setting in a cockpit for 8 hours straight doing nothing but monitoring the autopilot, but it was the only gig she could get in the RAF. She'd been too tall to be a fighter pilot and she didn't like the idea of being a setting duck in a strategic bomber, so she went with airlift. She regretted this decision from the moment she stepped into her first C-17, but by then, it was to late to do anything. The only thing she looked forward to now is the day she gets discharged, a day that was still far away. Her Co-pilot was oblivious to all this, for the past half hour all he'd been doing was playing away on his harmonica. His nice tunes were probable the only thing keeping the crew sane at this point. As Catherine and the rest of the flight banked left towards Fort Alekasi, Arnold started a new tune. She was quite impressed at his skill. Arnold had just started playing the harmonica, but at that moment, he sounded like a Shiloh nightlife pro. Catherine would have complimented him on his skill if it weren’t for the warning light of the number 4 engine suddenly blaring. Immediately, Arnold pocketed his harmonica and both of them started to examine the system, "What the hell is going on? Were losing fuel on number 4! Fast!" Catherine pressed a button to examine the fuel gauge for number 4, "Shit! Arnold! Number 4's fuel line isn't pumping!" Arnold looked up at her with a face full of horror, "That means the fuel lines snapped." At that moment, something caught Arnold's eye just outside the window. He pointed and said, "Look." Catherine did as tolled. To her left she could see a liquid spewing out of number 4 and into the sky below, it was obliviously the fuel. Within a few seconds, that fuel turned into a ball of flames, ignited by fuel-covered circuits that couldn't handle the liquid. In a blink of an eye, Catherine yanked on the stick and tried desperately to gain altitude. The low amount of air at high altitude would suffocate the raging fire, but only if they make it in time. Over Catherine's headset, a voice crackled in, "Airbus 1 this is Airbus 2, what the hell is going on? I'm seeing one of your engines on fire!"
"Airbus 2, Airbus 1. One of are fuel lines just snapped. It ignited a fire on the wing, over."
"Roger Airbus 1, you guy's going to be okay?"
"As long as we reach a higher altitude, I think we'll be-" The entire left wing simply disappeared in a massive explosion, sending Catherine's C-17 into a headlong death spiral. Inside the cockpit, everything was flying everywhere. The two pilots fumbled with their straps, trying anything to get them off. With all this chaos in the cockpit, Catherine barely noticed Donald screaming in her headset, "What the hell is going on up there! Shits flying everywhere in the cargo bay!" With that, both of the pilot’s straps strangely released the two, almost as if God himself intervened. With Catherine and Arnold free to escape, the Flight Lieutenant barked back to Donald, "Get your parachute on an bug out Donald! The planes in a death spiral!"
"Yes Ma'am!" With Donald on his way to safety, the two pilots clambered out of the cockpit and into the chaos that was the cargo bay. Several of the medical crates had busted open, spewing blood and other medical supplies all over the place. With all the debris, it was difficult to locate the two parachutes setting up against the wall to there left, twisting with the aircraft. Catherine and Arnold hastily snapped all of the straps together and tightened everything on their parachutes. Above them, Donald was already at the cargo bay door, looking down at them. He didn't say anything; he just saluted the two and released his grip from the plane. Instead of disappearing below the aircraft, Donald floated up and away, almost like Superman. Both of the pilots quickly followed in Donald's footsteps, but the climb out of the plane would prove difficult. There only way out, was to grab the webbing put on the side of the C-17, while at the same time dodging medical supplies being literally sucked out of the cargo bay. As they were about to reach the exit, a monstrous snapping noise was heard below them. One of the large Medical crates being held down had been released, and was now flying straight up at them. Arnold yelled up at Catherine, "Crate! Let go now!" Both of the pilots released their grip from the webbing. The aircraft seemed to fall below them, everything rushed past their bodies as the two pilots cleared the cargo bay. However, as they left the bay, the spinning tail section of the C-17 whirled in front of them. Before they could react, the Tail section smacked the two of them to the side, away from the aircraft. The force of the impact broke Arnold's arm and snapped Catherine's leg, not to mention causing them to twirl on every axis. Both of them fought the pain and the wind rushing past their face to gain control of their twirl and bring there bodies under control. Arnold moved his arms and legs into the proper position, ignoring his ungodly amount of pain. Above him, Catherine had already leveled herself out and was preparing to pull her chute, but the cord snapped the second she pulled it. With her adrenaline in overdrive, she quickly grabbed her reserve chute cord and yanked. Instantly the chute deployed, knocking Catherine back and up with enough force to give her starry eyes. As Catherine looked down below, she could barely make out her Co-pilot. He still hadn't deployed his chute, she feared the worst. Arnold was struggling to keep his body under control. The pain from his arm was so intense, not even his massive amounts of adrenaline could keep his mind concentrated. He checked his altimeter, it only read 5,000 feet, he had to pull his cord now. With the cord on his left, he had to curl his left arm up to reach it. After fumbling with the cord for a few seconds, he finally was able to yank it. The force from the chute deploying caused him to go unconscious, he floated in the sky, lifeless. Catherine could see him hanging there, she thought he was dead. Below her, the C-17 was now just a ball of flames. The massive fireball crashed into a dense forest, spewing up dirt and debris as it impacted. The only thing Catherine could do now was stay by Arnold's limp body and float to the ground. Several minutes later, both of them touched down onto an open field. Catherine quickly released herself from the chute and limped towards Arnold lying on the grassy ground. She lifted his head and checked his pulse, it was steady. Relief came over Catherine, he was only unconscious. She carefully pulled all of the clips and harnesses off Arnold and laid him down over by a tree stump. As she did this, the survival radio on her uniform was picking up something. It was faint but defiantly Donald's voice, "Is anyone receiving me? Catherine? Arnold? You guys there?" She grabbed the radio, "Donald, this is Catherine. Where are you right now?" There was a five second pause, "I'm about a hundred yards away from the crash sight. Its not a pretty picture here."
"Can you come to us? Arnold's unconscious here and I can't move him very far with this broken leg of mine."
"No problem, I'll be there in a sec."

Airbus 2:

"Airbus 1 respond! Catherine! Donald! Anybody!" The Pilot and 3rd in command of the flight, Pilot Officer Maxwell Alexander had been trying to raise Airbus 1 for the past 5 minutes, but he'd got no response. His Co-pilot warned him that they were running dangerously low on fuel; they had to land at Fort Alekasi. With much regret, he agreed with his Co-pilot. Airbus 2 and the four remaining C-17's continued on with their mission, they had no choice but to leave them behind. Within a few minutes, the control tower at Fort Alekasi hailed them, "Alekasi control to Gliboa transports, please acknowledge, over." Maxwell pressed TALK, "We acknowledge Alekasi control, this is Airbus 2, over."
"Roger that Airbus 2, you are cleared to land at Runway 2, over."
"Roger, Airbus 2 over and out." One by one, each C-17 landed at Runway 2. Maxwell's Globemaster was the first to touch the tarmac; he slowly brought it to a stop in front of the many hangers sprawled out at Fort Alekasi. The other C-17's quickly followed suit, parking right next to him. Almost instantly, each crew opened their rear cargo bay doors and started to unload the medical supplies with the Kriezystani soldiers. Maxwell on the other hand, started to look for the man in charge of the soldiers. He asked one Kriezystani soldier, "Where’s your CO!?" and he directed him towards a man that looked like a Colonel, but he couldn't be certain. Maxwell stopped a few feet in front of the man, and saluted, "Pilot Officer Maxwell Alexander sir, I need your help."
