Upcoming Clan Dominion Grand Council

Postby Dravok » Wed Jul 07, 2010 1:20 pm

The 23rd bi-annual Clan Dominion Grand Council meeting is to be held in the Protectorate of the Genoshin Defense Force's capital system
of Genoshya. Subject matter such as prospective territory inductions into the CDGC, like the Old Terran Allaince, and hopefully peace negotiations between the Dravok and Genoshin domains. Rumor has it that the Dravok Prince Constantine Drakkon has elected to bring the OTA into the realm to pressure the PoGDF into returning the recently occupied systems Raven and Ire. With a new ally in the realm the Dravok Domain will be able to shift its front-line units off the Maideen borders and focus much harder on its on going struggles with the Genoshin forces. In a counter to recent fleet activity in the Minamoto Domain, the Bandit-King Roger Grim has asked that collective military "peacekeepers" of the Clan Sea Fox be positioned on his borders.

With the Clan Sea Fox awaiting the election of a new Overlord, the Fox's have pulled all of its interstellar assets back to its home stations in the Ridgeway system. Much speculation has risen as to whether the interstellar peacekeepers will have a representitive at the upcoming meeting. Without an Overlord the Fox's are unable to mobilize any units to quelm the fires of unrest within the Dominion, leaving many fearful of the possible outbreak of all-out war if the Dravok and Genoshins are unable to maintain a civil posture. Dravok spokespersons have assured the people that the Prince is not headed to the meeting with the intent of war, but with recent events, some argue that his past has shown him to be an unpredictable leader.

The Grand Duke of Maideen is also said to be pushing for the induction of another small domain, the Outer Rim Colonies, who has been a long time trade partner to the economically strong domain. Since the Genoshin and Minamoto Clan have been nuetral with Maideen, many believe that the small territory should be an easy acceptance, while the Minamoto's nomination of the Mercenaries Star, a small system of planets well known for its mercenary units throughout the Dominion, may be rejected by the PoGDF and Dravok domains. This Clan Dominion Grand Council is sizing up to a very pivotal time for the Dominion, and if all goes well, our star charts should boast at least two new domains.

The long distance from the Dravok capital system of Drakon to Genoshya had worn itself into the Prince's current physical state as his entire body had gotten so used to the weightlessness of space travel. Onboard the Dravok flagship Shining Light, he had been going over the opening speech at the Grand Council meeting and nomination of the Old Terran Alliance, leaving little time to work out and keep up his stamina. But the inbound descent into the Genoshya atmosphere had begun to re-aquaint him with the feeling of normal gravity. Onboard the political shuttle was the Prince, his military general staff, and a lone man dressed in a field dress uniform of a dark maroon.
He stood taller than the Prince, but when the man noticed his gaze fixed on him, he merely nodded towards the prince. Chancellor Victor Reinhardt was the leader of the Old Terran Alliance, a faction once dead, had risen again from the ashes with Earth as its newly rebuilt capital. Back during the original Terran Alliance, the entire Dominion was once under their care, but internal politics on earth and its surrounding systems began to fight. A nuclear holocaust insued and millions parished, but while the dominion fought to claim territories for themselves, the Terran Alliance was regrouping within the quarantine zone.

to be continued...damn internet connections on and off, sry. Should be up again soon. Closed RP to the Clan Dominion unless you are a prospective nation wishing for induction into the CDGC. Each nation in the Clan Dominion is allowed only one nomination, and no nation has chosen a definite nomination. If u wish to join the dominion council, telegram any nation and work it out with them.

"My Leige, the Genoshin Overlord welcomes us to the system, and hopes that we would accept their offer to set up our groups operations in the Hall of Champions barracks. He assures us that it is safe, secure, and should be a better fit for nobleman." a young Drakon Guards man spoke.
" Tell the Overlord that we humbly accept his offer and should be on the ground in a few hours. Also have General Jorgansonn meet me, we have matters to discuss."

Without awaiting the mans response, the Prince shut his door, the CDGC was coming and if the Genoshins were playing nice, he figured he would have to make sure he did as well. General Jorgansonn was his overall Drakon Guard Commander and he was also a staunch anti-genoshin man, he would have to be sure that his military advisor would not burst out and attack any of the genoshin council members while the Grand Council was underway. Until the Old Terran Alliance was brought officially into the fold, any actions against the freak peoples would crush his chances to gain the political upperhand.

Just as he found his chair at the desk in the center of the room, a knock came.

"Enter," he spoke aloud. It was the General. Benjermin Jorgansson was a tall man of six feet and strong build. He was involved in the last several encounters with the Genoshins on the battlefield. The scars across his neck and face showed that the engagements were not kind, and that his public distaste of the Genoshin warriors were well-diserved.
" You called my Prince?" Jorgansonn asked. He bowed in the standard hip bow with his clenched fist against his chest.
" Yes General, I did. I know that your honor and loyalty to me will supress any outburst that may arise at the council meeting the next few days, but I just wished to hear you reassure me so, im sure you can understand the great importance of keeping a level head while were here, yes?"

" I will do all that is required of a man in my position," Jorgansonn replied. " A general without his men is a small threat to these freaks, to them I am but a weaker being, and even I know challenging any of them one-on-one is virtually suicide."
The man was dodging, but it would have to suffice, he was one of the most loyal and compitent leaders of the Dravok Armed Forces.
" Very well, upon our arrival you and my honor guard will take our things to the Hall of Champions while Chancellor Reinhardt and I meet with the Grim Collective and Clan Sea Fox's dignataries." and with a wave of his hand, the General bowed again and made for the door.
" Dravok will need a martyr to rally against once this is over and I hope that the General will understand when the time comes..."

The burst of radiation and flash of light caused by a incoming jump capable naval craft was once of awe and wonder. For the last few hundred years, humans were able to burst in and out of star systems at great lengths, sharply decreasing travel times required to venture the stars. The massive Claymore-class Heavy Warship, one of only a handful relics left in any service was no exception, the Leviathan was a gigantic old terran warship that massed some 2.8 million tons and carried more firepower than a full fleet of waships. Since the fall of the Old Terran Alliance, no other ship compared, even the huge Morning-Star was only a tenth of the mass. Along side of her was the 10th Clan Sea Fox Assault Fleet, a collection of various Warships and WarCruisers, 6 ships and the Claymore. Clan Sea Fox was once brothers of the Genoshin, but when the Old Alliance disappeared, the two split from a rift in the beliefs in what the Alliance would have wished them to do, how to best serve the Dominion.

Overlord Derricks was a genoshin, but unlike those of the PoGDF, he was birthed on Terra just before the warring ravaged the planet.
His hair was shaved close, and eventhough he was nearing the old age of fifty-one, he still maintained the warrior's physical standards. At five-eleven and one ninety eight, he still resembled the Armored Infantry of the genoshin warriors. He and his Vice Overlord, Kerrigan, had made their careers fighting the rebellions in Dravok, but unlike his Vice Overlord, he had managed to retain most of his gruff and stubborn genoshin mannerisms. She had become more complacent to the lfe of a politician since the split from the other genoshins.
The life of an Overlord was not his first choice, but his people saw him as a great leader, and without one they feared they would falter like the PoGDF. Coming back to Genoshya was not something he wished for, but the rotation of Grand Council meetings had brought him back to the home of his fallen bretherin.

" Well, Its good to see our brothers and sisters have stayed busy, it looks to have grown quite well since we left, no?" he asked Kerrigan.
She was viewing the holocharts, scanning the planets surface, gazing intently at the multiple cities, and very mockingly laughed.
" Ha, they built dozens of Birthing Camps, but it would seem they still focus to much on the need to protect themselves and these colonists, there has to be at least twenty units in this system, some eleven on this planet alone, perhaps they thought someone would try something during the Grand Council."

The PoGDF was a mass of new Genoshins, third gens his people called them. The need to constantly keep generating warriors showed their overly fearful anxiety that they had preserve a culture that was created to ensure stability in the human ranks, and without the Alliance, he and his genoshins believed it would have been the Alliance's wishes to do what was possible with what was left, but eventually allow the human race to push past the need of the genoshins as peacekeepers. The Sea Fox was still a massive faction, but it was well known that in twenty to thirty years they would be no more, they had become a nomadic people, travelling from system to system gathering up caches left by the alliance and training independent systems to protect themselves and ensure that they could survive without them.

" Why is it they still wish us to be apart of these meetings?" Kerrigan asked. " THe humans still see us for what we are. Protectors of the race, unbais, and direct. They know that we are doing everything we can while we can and probably wish to see if we approve." he replied.
" But what does it matter if we approve, its not our way to approve or disapprove, we are here to ensure stability, right? she asked again.
" We will only be here as long as we are required. Soon we will be able to return to our operations in the Outer Territories, Let us humor their wants, soon it wont matter."
