From Bad to Worse (closed FT)

Postby Asuaw » Sat Jul 03, 2010 1:40 am

In the deep void of space, not near any planet or sun, floated a green bio-tech battleship, drifting through space. It appeared to have gone through quite a lot recently, burn marks and scars dotting its organic armor.
Inside, technicians and crewmen rushed around, attmepting to bring the ship back on-line. In the middle of the chaos stood a group of people apparantly immune to the panic and distress around them. At the center was a tall black-haired man with a brooding glare. Surrounding him were things that could be loosely described as "people." They were Hunters, Asuaw's bioengineered soldiers. Each was human shaped, but bioengineered to be better than human.
All Asuawans had been engineered or altered as such. Each Asuawan was smarter, quicker, tougher more agile, and had a 300% increase in strength over regular humans. The soldiers had received armor as well, making each of them a shiny black sentry, cold and heartless. While the soldiers were clever, the lacked initiative. They only obeyed their commanders orders, via a psychic link between them and their present commander. At the present, that commander was the man.
The man's name was Agent Veezev. He was a Xeliz agent and very lethal. Like all Asuawans, he had received the same biological enhancements. However, as a Xeliz agent, he had received a unique enhancement designed to make him more suited to his job. His in particular was an experimental enhancement that allowed him to project a field which bent light around him, rendering him almost invisible to the naked eye, minus a small distortion which most would attribute to heat of some kind. In addition his senses, particularly his sense of smell, had been heightened, making him an ideal hunter. However, his current mission was not to hunt, but to protect. The ship was carrying a prototype of a new "Drej Buster" (an anti energy-being weapon) froma remote research facility. It had been enroute to Asuaw when a freak gravitational anomaly had thrown the ship wildly off-course and forced them to exit hyperspace under strained conditions, resulting in the damage to the ship.
A technician approached Veezev. "Sir, the hyperdrive did not survive re-entry, and is impossible to fix under current conditions. Navigation was knocked out too, but initial scans do not show any systems within reaching distance."
Veezev grimaced. He knew what he had to do, but it still sickened him to call for help
Moments later a message went out
This is the Asuawan ship Judicator. We are currently stranded and are requesting assistance. Sending coordiantes now

Unbenounced to the stranded Asuawan, a small rogue planet that simply drifted in and out of the the galaxy was a mere lightyears away. Had the ship been hyperspace capable it could have easily made it to the unknown and unnamed planet, inhabitted by the people crewing ship that now plyed through space on a direct course to the coordinates the Asuawans had dispatched. Unlike the traditional hyperspace used by most civilizations, the ship and indeed crew that was enroute to the scene was utelizing an entirely different type of technology, making use of what could only be termed as The Force of an entrapped creature aboard the ship, and zipping through space as something less than even energy particles, something less, but something more.

Upon arrival in the empty vastness that had been interrupted by the biotechnological ship, a sleek silvery gray metallic ship literally materialized out of seemingly nothing. The ship was long and needlelike in construction, with a single bulbous portion in almost the exact center of the ship.

Aboard the ship multiple crewmembers scuried about, some monitorring the great and terrifying beast held in an energy field of sorts within the ship's bulbuos section. From this animal the entire ship was powered, the great beast had been captured on thei home planet and trapped whilst the ship was built around it, now doomed to spend the rest of its prolonged life trapped and sustained by the tall thin aliens clothed in gray robes and masks who monitorred its life, ensuring that it remained at maximum health, to ensure maximum output for the ship.

Aboard what could only be termed as the ship's bridge, three more of these gray clad aliens stood. One stood staring simply at a wall thta would appear blank to any other than his people, should they observe it. The other two, monitored and operated small machine consols. One, mantained order and control of the inner workings of the ship, communicating with those overseeing the ships weapons, engines, and of course those watchng after their creature. The other maintained outward control, monitoring any and everything the ship might encounter, weapons, and communication disptaches. The man in the middle stared at the blank wall, taking in the view before him, the obviously damaged asuawan ship must have been the source of the distress signal. His thoughts were confirmed when he saw the name Judicator etched on the damaged vessel's side.

Never before had these alien biengs taken part in what they could term a rescue mission, having lived in isolation for millenia past, only now setting to roam about the galaxy. They were not isolated by any lack of technology, in fact you could say they were on par with most races in the galaxy when it came to technological advancement. Their isloation, however, had led them to develop along different lines than the galaxy at large, evident by the power source used by the ship among other things.

Without looking at his companions, the being who could only be the commanding officer of the ship, ordered, "Attempt to open up communications with the alien ship. We need to see if they were the ones who requested assistance."

The being on the portside of the empty bridgelike room nodded and within moments, a portion of the screen had been transformed into a direct link to the Asuawan ship. If the other ship opened communication with the gray needlelike ship, they would see a simple grey room composed of dull grey. The room would for all purposes appear bare, as the other two beings were outside the view which was being allowed transmission ot the other ship. The Asuawans who saw the communication would simply see a single tall slender alien in flowing grey robes, wearing a metallic grey mask with dimply glowing red eye ports.

When communications were opened the commanding officer began, "Greetings space faring aliens, my name is Dran Fy, commander of this vessel." spreading his arms out in a gesture of peace, "Tell me, are you the vessel that requested assistance?"

in the nieboring system there was an Asgard ship it look like a backwards horse shoe with a stick coming back from the center and verticle two double sided blades on either side of the stick. it was an Asgard deep space heavy war ship out on patrol.
on board the Asgard ship Ragnarok the comunications officer Baldar picked up the distress signal of the Judicator. rushing to the bridge where the captain stood he handed him the message
This is the Asuawan ship Judicator. We are currently stranded and are requesting assistance. Sending coordiantes now

"sir if i may this ship is near by we could goo to it."
the captain Odin of the High Asgard Council looked at the asgard "it is an Asuawan shipthey have attacked several of our ships, why sould we help them Baldar?"
"Sir if we go to the ship we might be able to take it hostage in its current condition"
"hostage are you out of your mind the people of Asuaw would never go for that, but if we could do it quietly it would be just another ship that has vanished into the depths of space.
Baldar contact my sons Thor and Tyr tell them the plan, tell them to get in contact withh Orilla, then come to the ship we should have it by then."
"yes Odin shall i tell anybody else?"
"no not even this ship inorder for this to work it must be kept a secret, you are dismissed."
"sir!"
"capture an asusaan ship that could imporve my stading with the Council."
as the ship heads for the stranded Asuawan ship Odin cakles manniacly to himself.

"Greetings space faring aliens, my name is Dran Fy, commander of this vessel." spreading his arms out in a gesture of peace, "Tell me, are you the vessel that requested assistance?"

Agent Veezev was slightly unnerved by the alien's appearance, but kept it hidden.
Yes we are, we require supplies or transportation of some kind to one of our friendly systems. We have sensitive cargo that must be delivered.

"Sir," said one of the tekkies, "another ship is approaching."
"Has it hailed us?"
"No, sir!"
Veezev looked at the readout for the ship. It appeared to be Asgard. They had had several skirmishes in the past, but nothing major. Well, with Asuaw's trackrecord with these people, and the fact they had not been hailed, he had to assume their intentions were hostile. He thought for a second then said "Encrypt the following message to the Asgard ship"
Asgardians, please do not harm us. We have no wish for a fight, and allies are already on their way. If you assist us, Im sure we can come to some arrangement

Veezev thought rapidly. The Asgard would know their ship was a sitting duck, as would the other vessel. If it came down to a fight between the two, Veezev could guess that the Asgard might just blow them away and run, or even worse, their new allies would abandon them.
"Sir, should we inform the other vessel of the Asgard ship?"
"No, or they may not come at all. This weapon must be delivered to Asuaw for further development, testing, and mass production. I care not who dies in completing this mission, particularly if it is some weak aliens."

Suddenly, almost directly behind the Asgarrdian ship appeared out of nowhere a small Drej fighter. Inside flying the ship was 616, or Glitch-2 to the Drej. He was a Drej being who when formed, its brain was formed oddly. Instead of wishing to serve the Drej, it, or he, as he called himself, wanted to be apart of the Drej. Barely getting away, Glitch-2 is known as a traitor to the Drej and is hunted by them constantly. He is also known as a trickster, making other people not friendly with him. Yet here he was, wanting to help. He did not know how he could, being that Drej beings did not need things that organics needed. Still, he wanted to help. But this other ship made him curious. If the Drej did not know about it, it may be helpful in destroying the Drej. Glitch-2 flew slowly to the new ship, forgetting to hail the Asuawn ship. He only sent a message to the Asgardian ship.

Greetings!
May i ask who you are? Are you on friendly relations with the Drej? I am curious about you and your ship.

as the asgard ship closed in a blip came up on the sensors it apeared to have the make of a drej ship. being energy beings the asgard beam wepons were of little use.
"all hands to battle stations" roared comander Odin. Balder send a reply to there ship
"we are the asgard. I am Odin of the High Asgard Council, comader of the ship Ragnarok. we know of the drej but do not have formal relations with them, at the moment we keep our distances from each other. about the ship all i can say is that it is a heavy war class ship"

Balder hail the Asuaw ship as well they are probaly getting worried about us.
Asuawan ship we mean you know harm. how may we be of service? could you give us a list of damaged systems, so we know where we can be of service.

"Balder any word on thor or tyr yet"
"they have made contact with Orilla and they have agreed with your plan to capture the ship. they themselves are still to far out to be of service"
"great, not only do we have to deal with them. now we have a drej craft following us, and who ever answers the distress call. bring me into visual range of the Asuawan ship and keep an eye on the drej."

Yes we are, we require supplies or transportation of some kind to one of our friendly systems. We have sensitive cargo that must be delivered.

Dran Fy recieved the Asuawan message from the tall, black haired, and none to happy looking man. Pausing the screen so the Asuawan would not see him speaking with his cohorts, Dran Fy looked at the other two Huntsmen on the bridge, "Do we assist them?"

"Sir, our ship lacks the supplies to repair the damaged craft. We are after all an exploratory semi-combat vessel." Replied the being to the starboard side of the bridge, in charge of monitoring internal integrity of the whole ship. It had taken him years of hard work back home to be assigned to this position, and he knew better than anyone else aboard what HIS, for he really did feel a connection with the ship, ship could and could not do.

"Very well, perhaps we could take them with us?" Suggested Dran Fy, "After all these other ships are strangers to us and present an unknown threat."

THe alien on the port side, a being named Allin, commented, "Sir, these other vessels appear hostile, one has already charged its weapons and the other registers as some sort of energized being, most likely attempting to manipulate us into thinking they are a servant of the gods. None of them are to be trusted. We must proceed with caution, perhaps we could take the Asuawans to the sacred gases, and loose any would be offenders there. The gods will not allow anyone who is not pure, With luck the Asuawans will pass the test, and these aggressors will be destroyed."

"Very excellent Exterior Commander, we shall see what the Asuawans think of such an idea."

Turning the viewscreen back on, Dran Fy began to speak once again to the Xeliz agent, " We are unable to dispatch the needed supplies for which you could repair your vessel. However, our homeworld is none to far from this location and there you could easily, with the help of our most skilled laborers repair your ship. However, these other vessels here present an unknown threat, and may even be attempting to subvert us away from our faith; if you are willing, and able to last that long, we can easily bond your vessel with ours and transport you to our sacred aura deep in space. There we can easily loose the aggressors, and should the gods find you pure, you will be granted amnesty within our borders. What say you?"

No attempts to cntact the Drej or Asgardian ships were made, though they were still being closely monitored for any signs of open aggression.

Asuawan ship we mean you know harm. how may we be of service? could you give us a list of damaged systems, so we know where we can be of service.

Veezev sent this message back
It is unlikely that you will have the necessary equipment and supplies to repair our ship. It is entirely biotech, and from what we know of the Agardians, you do not utilize such technology.

Despite the Asgardian offer to help, Veezev did not trust them. Soon after came the second message
We are unable to dispatch the needed supplies for which you could repair your vessel. What say you?

Veezev replied
I agree, the only requirement I have is that my cargo remains unotuched and onboard. It is sensitive, but I doubt it is of concern to you.

Veezev wasn't sure what to think of these new temporary allies, but they had to be better than the Drej or Asgard. And they had offered protection, though Veezev wasn't sure where. This was dead-space, what was out here?

Glitch-2 noticed that all ships except the Asgard ship seemed to ignore him. that was indeed good. He sent a message to the asgard ship, being happy that they are keeping their distance with the Drej. That was much better than being friends with them

This is good. Remain with what relations you have with them, for they are nothing but cowards and thieves.

Upon hearing the news, Dran Fy spread his arms in an open gesture of welcome, "but what of these other vessels? Will they not attempt to destroy you, or engage in combat with either of us?"

Meanwhile, the being operating the exterior portions of the ship, had dispatched this message to the Drej and Asgardian ships:
We are able to securely rescue the damaged vessel. Power down your weapons, and clear away so we may safely resuce the now struggling vessel.

As soon as the vessel was sent, Dran Fy, began maneuvering the ship towards the Asuawan vessel, pulling up alongside it in preperation to latch onto it and transport it to the Huntsmen's sacred Aura.

We are able to securely rescue the damaged vessel. Power down your weapons, and clear away so we may safely resuce the now struggling vessel.

when Odin recived this he grimaced now they would have to fight this other ship and mabey lose the asuawan ship.
im afraid that i cant let you do that the asuawan ship is our claim not yours so bugger off, of we will open fire.

the asgard ship then recived the message from the drej
This is good. Remain with what relations you have with them, for they are nothing but cowards and thieves.[/quote
Balder send a message to the drej ship
why are you against your own kind, and can you be over loaded in power from beam weapons

Hmmm "said glitch-2 to himself. He did want to help Asuaw since they were one of the few nations that were somewhat opposed to the Drej. He needed to help them. he sent a message to the Asuawn and the other ship.

Please let me help. I think i could help you greatly somehow.

To the Asgardian he sent a different message.

I am one of the Glitches, as they call me, and i am capable of thinking for myself, rather than serve another. I think it would be rather difficult to overload in beam weopons. Drej ships usually convert energy from anywhere to powerthemselves, so beams may not work.

hmm so our beam wepons will be of little use.
if you will assist us in securring the asuawan and the olshan ships we will offer sancturary in our lands

[Tab=]just then a hyperspace window opend and two more asgard heavy warship dropped into normal space[/Tab]
ha so my sons have arived now they are done for. balder send word to my sons that they are to attack on my command. send this to the Asuawan ship
you are now outnumbered give up our you will be fired upon you have .5 hour to respond
