Kaukolastan was pointing out that the Directorate has taken steps to secured international interests from piracy and terrorism by establishing the Seabelt, and rigorously enforcing the "Oceanic Security and Prosperity Operation". The Directorate ensures the safety of all ships who have entered Directorate Seabelt for any non-hostile reason, and have, of course, paid the nominal fee, which, when compared to the cost incurred by pirate attacks, terrorism, and other sea-related disasters, is quite reasonable, and a damn good deal.

Wrong.

International Space, i.e, space that does not belong to anyone, is fair game for colonisation. The only way to ensure that the galaxy is free from crime and whatnot is to conquer every single nation and then enforce your rules over them all.

And somehow, I don't see the Rethast, the Huerdaen Star Empire or the rest of Legion, or other alliances such as the Syndicate, letting you rule them.

So I reccomend you give up attempting to patrol and police "international space".
