Claudius humbed his way through the Daily Confederate, just as he did every morning, looking for any mention of the word oil. Today, for the first time in quite awhile, he found that mention. It had seemed as though the nation of Gracefall had come into quite a substantial amount of the black gold, and Claudius wanted it. As usual, he made his first call to his assistant, Cornelius Blueblood, and informed him to ready the fleets. This of course caused quite a stir about the office, as the Corporation had not mobilized for an invasion in some time.

The next call went directly to the leader of the nation of Gracefall itself. Claudius would inform the leader, whoever they may be, of his wish to purchase all of the oil fields within the nation for one billion dollars. If the Gracefaller? accepted, then no harm done. If not, it would be a grave mistake for the little country to cross the powerful multi-national conglomerate known world wide as the Griffincrest Corporation.

As the call to Gracefall was being made, the lead elements of the Griffincrest Rapid Reaction Force were being sent out. Four stealth ships would take positions just outside of Gracefall's maritime boundary, and await the order to fire. Their targets were various positions of importance throughout the country, both military and civilian. In orbit, the extensive Griffincrest satellite network began identifying Gracefall's assets in that region, and they too were prepared to unleash hell should the word be given.

In Vik Harbour, in the frozen wastes of Kamasha, Admiral Lucius Ironclaw recieved his word. He immediately ordered a full inspection of his fleet, the massive and renowned First Security Fleet of the Griffincrest Naval Security Wing. Aside from the sailors, he also commanded 200,000 of the best mercenaries Griffincrest could field. All of these men were wholeheartedly commited to the corporation, all for varying, and all were confident that they would be able to sweep Gracefall aside quickly, and continue on to the looting as soon as possible.

Griffincrest was once again taking action, and only time would tell how this new operation would fare.

"Hello, Claudius." Gracefall Grand Leader Alex Raymond said cautiously. "I have heard your reputation quite succinctly. Heard you're quite a bastard, actually. But besides the point."

He switched the phone to his other ear, using the previously used hand to write something.

"I'm guessing you want to buy out our oil fields? ... 1 Billion? Is this or is this not including the already-harvested oil?"

[Blackhelm Confederacy]

"This price is for all current and future oil fields within the nation of Gracefall Mister Raymond" Claudius replyed.

"Right, alright. And what'll happen if I deny this offer?"

"I don't know..but everybody has accidents.."

He sneered. That was definetly what he didn't want to hear.

"Sir, I'll have you know I am part of the Collaboration Of Allied Governments, an alliance and that an attack on me will be an attack on all of us.

"With that said, do you still want to make your pithy little threats?"

"I don't recall making a threat friend...merely stating a fact. Why just this morning I spilt my coffee. Accident, no? Sometimes, accidents are just alittle bigger than spilt coffee, I'm sure that a man of your stature knows that. My offer still stands"

He slammed the phone down on the reciever and quickly turned to a secretary.

"Contact CAG, contact our military. Set up every damn defense we've got. We're gonna need it."

"Cornelius, tell the GRRF to open up for me. Thank you."

And with that, he reclined in his chair, closed his eyes, and smiled.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, things were not going so niceley. Several of Gracefall's military and civilian satelites were targetted by unmarked, unregistered, Griffincrest own suicide sats, and soon impact would be made. Dozens of these suicide sats began to descend upon the Gracefaller orbital assets, and with no real way other than a phone call about accidents to hold the Griffincrest Corporation responsible, the ball was now in Gracefall's court to make the next move.

In Vik, as this was happening, thousands of men began piling aboard their vessels, and prepared to be sent halfway around the world to a place most of the men had never even heard of.

IC: The borders and sea borders of Gracefall were patrolled by the best men they had, armed heavily with assault rifles powerful enough to blow a hole in the stomach of anyone who opposed them. Shotguns sat on the men's shoulders as a back-up weapon, and hookswords as decorational weapons inside their belt loops. They awaited an attack, or the next orders.

The navy ships formed a near entire border, ships packed end-to-end across it, machine gun nests facing towards any ships that would come their way.

They were getting ready.

ASoGM reconnaissance satellites noted the buildup of troops and ships in Vik, and a new Intelligence file was prepared. A mobilization was under way, but where to was still up for debate.

TRIPOLIS - 05/07 - The National Security Council has decided today to send a brigade of the Trefoil Armed Forces to defend the nation of Gracefall, as a part of the multinational coalition working for that purpose. President Alexandre Hopkins spoke in an official address, that Blackheim's motives were purely imperialistic and unjust, that the Trefoil Army could be "a sparkle in a huge bonfire, but still better than nothing." The Joint Chief of Staff, Marcus Dalawei, added that the force could be ready to go in a week.
It is also interesting to note the current impending membership request to the Collaboration of Allied Governments, an alliance which also includes Gracefall as a member, and the ongoing Third Meeting of the Alliance.

Dear Gracefall,

We have been very saddened to hear that your proud nation is suffering from the threat of a major invasion. Like many countries, we have decided to support you in these difficult days against the imperialistic oil hunter Blackheim, creator of a shameful moment in the history of diplomacy.

The Trefoil Armed Forces plan to send 1 division of 20,000 men. The forces will be made of mostly mechanized and airborne infantry, in case Gracefall territory is under attack by land troops.
An Air Force squadron can offer limited support, but it may be underpowered by terms of manpower.
Please also note that we are now sending 1/5 of our military, so sending more soldiers could lead to instability inside the Army.

It had started out as a peaceful day for Minister Martins. The skies were unusually clear, and he was looking forward to a long and leisurely round of golf with his Chiefs of Staff. Unfortunately, mid-game, every member of the party felt their beepers going wildly.

Several hours later, in the War Office, plans were being drawn up for immediate troop deployment to Gracefall, a fellow member of CAG, which was being threatened by the Griffincrest Corporation. Gracefall Grand Leader Alex Raymond had put out the call for assistance, and The Master M would answer.
