Israel has 5 million people and has nukes.

there's no hard and fast rules. It's best to figure out WMD rules with the other roleplayers, some uses of nukes can make for a more interesting RP, whereas strategic nuclear exchange can make for a possibly boring one.
If you have any questions please let me know. I'd be happy to help in any way I can.

100 million before nukes? That doesn't reflect the real world at all. North Korea has a population of 24 million. Iran has a population of 70 million. The UK has a population of 61 million. All of these countries either have or are developing nuclear capabilities and have populations under 100 million. That rule is unrealistic.

TPF has the truth.

Oh, and regarding the economy rule that was being thrown around earlier...please don't tell me that some of y'all are using the "in-game" economic rating to grade other RPers, because frankly, it's wacky. Shouldn't have anything to do in RP.

You aren't trying to relate this game to RL, are you? Yeah, Israel has nukes, but they aren't noobs. Israel has been around for thousands of years (not continuously or same leadership etc. but you know what I mean). 500 million is a good amount of time for someone to have learned how others RP, and when and when not to use nukes. I'm not against them having nukes, or being able to threaten with them ICly, just not using them.

Of course, NS doesn't work like the Real World. The Real World doesn't have an ignore cannon, as much as people might like that to be true...

No, it's not. They could have 3 billion and ever roleplayed before. Nothing on your nationstates page has anything to do how good you are at roleplaying.

There's always exceptions, but 500 is a good general number. It can't be perfect.

The only people who should be allowed to have nukes are those who won't use them.
