Tagorian Dignitary to visit Uykesht

Image
Early morning breaks over the Padullahstani capital

Uykesht - Officials announced today that the Tagorian Foreign Minister, Minister Velasdze would be visiting the nation's capital today to kindle friendship between Padullahstan and Tagoria. The official will tour the capital including the Bazaar, Old Town, Parliament, and Downtown. President Uzanlar and Diplomat will then head to the Presidential Palace for a lunch consisting of both new and traditional dishes to discuss future trade and the exchange of embassies between Padullahstan and Tagoria.

Analysts have stated that it is a move by Uykesht to simply save face after the furor that erupted over the creation of Padullahstan's whaling program. Despite many calls to end the program, Padullahstan has refused to do so on several occasions. The Foreign Ministry has denied claims of this, but has stated "We first stepped out into the wider world to increase our economic ability, now we are stepping out to increase our friendships.

There are also rumours that this is the first in a joint visit after which President Uzanlar will pay a visit to Tagoria, but reports have not been confirmed. As stated by a Foreign Ministry "Hopefully our tiny steps will be the first in a journey into the wider world."

Presidential Palace, Uykesht
Golmira Province
Republic of Padullahstan

Despite it being up in the mountains forecasts were calling for a high of 33 degrees centigrade. The sun had already ventured out from behind the clouds and every sign pointed to it going to be a good day. Everything had been prepared for the visit of Foreign Minister Velasdze. President Uzanlar would greet him [OOC: Sorry if they are female.] on his arrival at Uykesht International Airport. Uykesht, and the entire Golmira Province by extension, felt as thought there was a static in the air, for it had not been a long time before someone of a foreign country had visited. Many of the younger citizens had never even seen a foreigner before.

He went about his morning with his normal routine before getting into the limo that they would use to drive the himself and the Foreign Minister around the capital in. The route that they would be driving in was soon to be blocked off to traffic. All along the street President Uzanlar could see welcome signs haging off of Uykesht's taller buildings, and some had even gotten Tagorian flags. The limousine continued along their path getting closer and coser to the airport. Thoughts were buzzing through his head, "Will my English be satisfactory?" or "I hope he is on time." and who could blame him, for he had never had a foreign representative visit before.

The Limousine passed through a set of metal gates and entered on to the tarmac. They parked and waited for the Minister's plane to land. "I hope he's on time."

While the Seras Terek case swept the Tagorian Archipelago under the cloak of human wickedness, Foreign Minister Yani Velasdze was onboard his private jet en route to Padullahstan for the talks he had arranged with his counterpart. He was dressed in the typical finery of a man of his station, reading a newspaper article about, he figured, the Seras Terek case that had shaken the nation, due to rumors that more killings were going to happen. Being solemn, Velasdze muttered his condolences before looking out his window to see the Padullahstani (OOC: Is this right?) landscape below him.

He figured a chunk of the meeting would be spent talking about the whaling program. But he would tell his hosts that the Tagorian Empire was neutral, and that there would be no need to worry about it. He listened to the pretty flight attendant tell him about how they would land in a while, and proceeded to get his things together before he departed. After they landed, he stepped out of the plane.

Waiting for his reception, with a smile and a ready hand.
