Nattian Reformation, Restoration & Reconstruction

Map of Nattia

The Nattian Civil War is over.

Now begins the hard work of rebuilding the nation. The small island nation of Nattia has just emerged from a short but brutal civil war sparked by a coup by General Leo Pekkarinen against the absolutist King Otto II, and his murder of the royal family. Pekkarinen, seizing power for himself as a military dictator, however faced resistance and following an attack on the palace, he was killed in the fighting, and order was restored under the new Provisional Council of State and the Regent, Admiral Paavo Harjula.

The Provisional Council of State, now comprised of five civil servants, Konsta Vanhatalo, August Wirtanen, Santeri Halonen, Lenni Koski, Taisto Nurmi, backed by the Triumvirate the true power in the country, Colonel Elmeri Inha, Colonel Hermanni Raita and Colonel Sami Janhunen have adopted a new constitution, promising seemingly everything to everyone as they reform Nattia into a new constitutional monarchy, introducing new democratic institutions while maintaining the power and influence of the military. Adopting a new constitution written by Janhunen, the Provisional Council now looks to the future, with three goals—

1. Reformation— reforming laws in the kingdom to introduce democracy into the country as well as reconciliation between the pro-military, pro-monarchist and pro-democracy sentiments in the kingdom. Normalize foreign relations, gain foreign aid and investments into Nattia and build strengthening alliances with the international community.

2. Restoration— the selection of a new King of Nattia and the cementing the monarchy’s new role in the kingdom.

3. Reconstruction— the rebuilding of the country which has been heavily damaged by the conflict which saw 173,000 people, overwhelmingly civilians die, and internally displaced 100,000 more people. The city of Foutila and Loupa are entirely in ruins while, The capital Harjukuapunki, and the cities Salosaari, Alajari, Rynkar and Hevanpaa have all been heavily damaged by fighting. 80% of the population is without electricity, while the port of Salosaari is in ruins, and there remains only one airport, in Harjukuapunki. The destruction of roads and nearly all bridges in the country leaves overland travel across the country virtually impossible while the traditional seat of government, the palace is in shambles.

With these three main and hefty goals on the plate of the Provisional Council of State and the Triumvirate, they seek to tackle them both internationally and domestically as they work to secure the future of Nattia.

The Marajarbian Federation would begin to assist Nattia in its reconstruction process following the short, yet brutal Nattian Civil War. Marajarbian companies, such as the Marajarbian Construction and Shipping Group, would begin their reconstruction operations by hiring from the local population in order to efficiently rebuild the destroyed Nattian infrastructure. Marajarbia’s government would also offer to build a high-speed railway network and series of ports to assist Nattia in connecting it with the rest of the world.

ATTN: Nattian Interim Government - Colonel Elmeri Inha - Colonel Hermanni Raita - Colonel Sami Janhunen

We first and foremost offer our condolences for the unfortunate loss of the civilians affected by your civil war. If there is one thing our Federation understands is the cost of war, and the long term effects it has on any nation. The plight of your people has sparked our interests, and we feel the strength of our Economic model and power of our military can be of service to you. Specifically we speak to you, high ranking members of the armed forces. The military has the discipline and level headedness required in such times. Give us your response, and we will accomodate the necessary first response force to help in your restoration,

To the members of the Triumvirate,

The Kingdom of Genes is pleased to hear of the news of the Provisional Council of State and the Triumvirate’s cooperation and their move to Otsopaa as a more suitable capital in this time of transition following the devastation that so much of the island nation has faced.

His Majesty wishes to see the new Kingdom of Nattia grow into a strong and prosperous state, and offers to aid the nation in its reconstruction efforts and revamping of engineering projects to connect the separated communities of nation as well as aiding in the restoration of the nations power grid.

His Majesty wishes to send Royal Engineer Dula Eskinder to aid in drafting up plans for a new and improved national roadway system as well as a proposal for a power plant by a representative of Desta Energy, a Genoise chaebol specializing in energy and power generation.

His Majesty also wishes to send Count de Moresco to serve as his official envoy to Nattia, and to aid in the formal restoration of the monarchy, with Father Tewodros Abdella and Danichew Nataye as advisors.

Being already posted there, the Gonswanzan military slowly moves to peacekeeping operations, as the minesweepers move to clear mines beyond Salosaari, while the more militarized fleet retreats, with container ships on the way and RoRo ships to deliver armored cranes and other logistics vehicles. In turn, the tanks were recalled as well as artillery, but air defenses remained posted, while AH-2s were being deployed to help ferry troops around.

The grand effort to fix the mistakes of the past has begun, but the question of who to blame for the destruction lingered as soldiers continued to march to hold order.

Stella Nera sent forces but they never arrived, as we were and are still heavily preoccupied with the ongoing Darner Peninsula War between Finarune Valley and Crysuko you can see here:
OOC: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=544896
IC: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=545630

We regret not being able to participate, and that the side we were heavily supporting has fallen. Stella Nera will be on standby for future uprisings, for those that wish to continue the legacy of the fallen leader of the Nattian-Republic. We remain committed to anyone loyal to the cause of the Nattian-Republic. We condemn the Admiral and do not recognize him as the legitimate leader of Nattia.

Stella Nera offers refuge to anyone attempting to flee from the newly corrupted Nattia for whatever reason, so long as they agree to adapt to Stella Neran customs.

Robots shouldn't have rights or citizenship;
Compromise on other non-human sapient entities is possible, with limitations, but not on these buckets of bolts. They should serve humanity and have absolutely no place in society other than as our servants. Think of the benefits of this. Plus, they would almost certainly overtake humanity if we gave them the chance, whether out of pure advanced abilities or malice, or worse, both. Think of humanity.

(OOC: reposted from the Civil War thread, to 'bump.')

The Cipher agent strutted around the conference room as if she had owned it, before finally lounging in one of the chairs.
“As for the fighters - they are a little old, our aDB-16s, though I believe you will find that they are highly capable. Maneuverable at speeds of up to mach 1.9, armament is excellent for both dogfighting, or air-to-air combat. It can also be used in a ground support role, due to its excellent flight performance and underwing attachment nodes. It also includes several avionics systems, and even an electronics jammer, for when you need to evade air-defenses.”

She was, of course, finishing discussing some of the capabilities of the aircraft.

“As for spare parts and technical expertise, you may converse with the aDB corporation. I believe you will find them most helpful. After all, they have served us well for a great many years…”

“But - there is the small matter of payment. And no, we don’t want or need your money - we realize the civil war has put Nattia in a… difficult… financial situation, and it would be rather rude to offer weapons as a gift, only to attach a price tag later on.”
Her words were sweet, although perhaps with a hint of venom.
“Nor will we ask anything that will infringe on your sovereignty - we are merely business partners, after all.”

Otsopaa, Nattia

Colonel Inha and Colonel Raita took a certain delight in knowing that despite their gesture of handing the Provisional Council over to a ‘civilian government’ that those at home and abroad both seemed to know who was really in charge of matters. As none of the members of the Triumvirate had wanted to take up the mantle of ruler themselves, they found this “advisory” position much more to their liking.

Colonel Janhunen meanwhile dealt with the matter of the ISI who had aided them in subduing the last remnants of those who had been loyal to the short lived Republic. Janhunen had pushed for the keeping of the thirty fighter jets that had been ‘gifted’ to the Provisional Council by the ISI— though despite the words, or rather because of them, he suspected they were not intended to be simply gifts.

“You say it would be rude to add a price tag to them, and yet it sounds as if that is precisely what you intend on presenting to me. If not money— what is your price to take the form of?”

Meanwhile the Provisional Council agreed, after some debate to reaffirm the trade agreement, which had been made under the republic— and so Koski and Nurmi had wished to cancel it, but found themselves outnumbered. It was thus to be the standard of how foreign companies would be allowed to operate in Marajarbian. Vanhalato thus drafted a plan, dividing up the various infrastructure projects needed into different projects and they would allow companies to bid on them, on the condition that any and all facilities constructed such as mills and storage, etc, been handed over to the Nattian government without compensation after a period of 60 to 80 years.

The Genoise’s request to send a delegation and engineering and corporate representatives waas approved by the Triumvirate.

The question of blame was one that the Triumvirate was slow to answer. The destruction of Foutila had been chopped up to being the fault of both sides— having been heavily bombed by republicans and then turned into a battlefield without regard by the royalists. However much of the damage had been done predominantly by foreign intervention forces— mostly on the side of the republicans.

Vanhalato particularly disliked the Gonswanzans, having been held hostage briefly by them by mistake. He found the Gonswanzands to foolish, short sighted, incompetent and reckless idiots, nor did he have any hesitation in letting his opinion be known.

The Triumvirate, not wishing to stir the international community with controversy, and as its own members had been allied with Gonswanzans, and Inha and Raita had, effectively, used the Gonswanzans as proxies so that their own men had been soared from the fighting, were not interested in offending them. Instead they quietly looked to open a back door channel to discuss with the Gonswanan leadership some form of quiet compensation— one that would appease Vanhalato, aid Nattia and allow everyone to forget whatever messy business might have unfolded in the battles of Alajari and Foutila.

The news that Stella Nera still clung to the idea of Pekkarinen, dead and hastily buried in a pauper’s grave, was of mild concern for the Ttiumvirate. There were a scattered few who still cherished chi’s memory— chief amongst them Colonei Pulkkinen, but even he had been persuaded to align thrmself with Triumvirate— though he nicknamed them the do-nothings. Few however were willing to leave Nattia on this account. With the Triumvirate and Provisional Council’s focus on reconciliation, all sides had been granted pardon regardless of which side of the fighting they had been on. And fewer still were open to adopting the strange and unknown ways of Stella Nera.

Inha and Raita had their aides send word to Pathusk inquiring about their economic model and the form of their first response that they offered.

The Cipher agent spoke rather cheerily.
"Nattia is a strategic island - excellent for refueling of ships and aircraft on approach towards our Southeast."
That is how she opened.
"We'd like to build a wonderful new port city for you, with those fighters as an added bonus. For all of your commercial traffic and military needs - but - that it would contain an Arakhkharan naval base."
"As for labor - there is quite a lot of unemployment, yes? If we employed them as contract laborers to construct said port, we both benefit - your unemployment gets soaked up, you get a port city constructed by Arakhkhar, not to mention our favor bestowed upon your government. We can also handle infrastructure, power requirements, everything. All for free, may I add."
"And we get a base, so that we can refuel, rearm, and do all those things which a navy needs to expand. We can even use the base to offer technical expertise for those aDB-16s, so you don't have to order spare parts for maintenance from overseas."

Marajarbian companies would, in compliance with the new Nattian law, begin to bid on potential infrastructure projects to invest in. Companies such as the Marajarbian Shipping and Construction Group would still hire Nattians to efficiently make sure that the reconstruction process goes by quickly and smoothly, while also ensuring that Nattia could better connect itself as a nation in a growing world during the period known as Civil War Season.

And yet, reconstruction continued at a leisurely pace, given that there were severe issues with preexisting infrastructure including decimated roads and bridges. It would be a long time for things to return to normal, but construction crews get to work, while aid is handed out by the crate from the sky. Massive pallets of food and medical supplies are dropped over the formerly besieged cities, while mobile aid stations race to replace hospitals, as camps are set up in various regions, using paths through the forest to get to places like Foutila and Salosaari, as well as Alajari, from the reinforced beaches turned into an impromptu landing area for supplies. Helicopters would help chase after the wounded and lost, returning them back to society, as prefab buildings were built up outside of Alajari to house the displaced, while unstable buildings had to be unceremoniously demolished.

A Gonswanzan engineer proposed a possible monument near the edge of Alajari to represent the defense of the city, and a "grand gate guardian" to show where the Gonswanzans first rolled into the city offering gifts, but the two ideas were deemed a little excessive even for Gonswanzan standards. But the idea is pitched to the locals as a possibility, the party offering said concepts open to new ideas and input from the locals.

Coat of Arms of the House of Castenac

To the Provisional Government of Nattia

The government of Sant Asperes express their deepest sympathies for not being able to actively participate in the recent Civil War that has ravaged your nation over the past week. In light of this, the Asperesian Assembly has unanimously approved a bill to provide 1.3 billion collers in foreign aid to aid in the reconstruction efforts of your country. The bill also outlines a plan for the Asperesian Armed Forces to offer expert training to Nattian soldiers in advanced artillery use and Fighter Jets HM-15s training. Additionally, the bill includes provisions for the donation of 28 HM-15s to the Nattian Armed Forces, should the Provisional Government of Nattia accept this generous proposal.

In addition to the foreign aid package, the Asperesian Government has put forth another proposal for Nattia in their quest for a new Monarch. His Majesty, King Shahniln I of Sant Asperes, is willing to allow one(s) of his family members, as well as a member of the esteemed house of Castenac, to be considered as a pretender to the throne of Nattia. This gesture of goodwill and support aims to assist Nattia in its transition towards stability and prosperity, and to forge stronger ties between the two nations.

The Count of Moresco upon his arrival in Otsopaa quickly went to work. Moresco had been issued with the task of improving relations between the Genoise and Nattians, in the hope of spreading Genoise influence, and in particular, the pushing of a Genoise royal to be selected to take the vacant throne of Nattia.

Thus began their multi-pronged campaign. Father Abdella, a member of the church was there to go out and observe the Nattian people, as well as coordinate with the Viridian Crystal, the non-profit organization that had started a humanitarian campaign during the fighting, and now, with the violent ended, ramped up their efforts. The HMS Michelle, a hospital ship that had been used by Viridian Crystal made its way to the new capital of Otsopaa and began unloading their supplies to be distributed to those in need. First aid kits, water filtration devices, food supplies were unloaded, along with new supplies that had been sent by the Duke and Duchess of Wervik, the King’s daughter and son-in-law.

Clothes, blanks, sleeping bags, tents and water bottles each sown, embroidered or stamped with the coat of arms of the Duke of Wervik a blue lion on a white shield quartered with three red roses on a gold shield.

Meanwhile Moresco went to present himself to first the Regent for the matter of ceremony, and then Provisional Council, as they were the official representatives of the interim government, while Nataye went to the Triumvirate, as they were the ones who truly held the power.

Bowing as he presented himself to the Provisional Council, the Count Moresco spoke, “Oh behalf of His Majesty, Frederick IV, King of Genes, it is an honor to open relations formally between our most serene kingdom and that of Nattia. His Majesty reaffirms his friendship and wish to see Nattia blossom into a nation of strength and peace in a new era of prosperity. As you are the great men of this realm, laying the foundations of a great new path, we in Genoise wish to aid you in this noble effort, the masonry of this reconstruction. The restore monarchy of Nattia is certain to be amongst the cornerstones of the nation moving forward and His Majesty wishes to held insure that this seed planted shall grow into a strong and mighty tree. As such, His Majesty is open to the consideration of a member of his family to serve the Nattian people as their new monarch, and wishes to put forth the names of his grandsons, Lord Christopher Hollande and Lord Yonas Hollande.”

Meanwhile, as Nataye went to the Triumvirate, his presentation was a bit more straightforward.

“There is much wealth to be made in this time of change in Nattia, for in its reconstruction, one can find their fortune, fortunes that will multiply themselves tenfold under the dutiful reign of a monarch selected from fine Genoise stock.”

Janhunen considered this, weight the costs and the benefits of the idea. A naval base would give Arakhkhar the ability to have a level of influence in and around Nattia, but a new port and settlement would provide a great number of larger jobs and aid in the larger reconstruction effort of the country. And without cost to the Triumvirate or the Provisional Council— a vital thing considered the treasury was basically empty save what Janhunen himself had deposited there.

“Grant us three things more— to aid in the training of our own naval officers at a naval educational facility, that a Treaty of Friendship sign between Nattia and Arakhkhar and upon whose upholding the naval is granted to operated, and for this protect to done at Foutila.” It would be striking three birds with one stone, helping the Nattian Navy, securing a new alliance and defusing any potential threat from the base, and giving the Arakhkharans effectively a blank canvas— as Foutila had been leveled and its port destroyed— while satisfying the idea of reconstruction.

“Those can… all be arranged.”
“Just to be aware, naval officers trained on-base will be taught our doctrine, according to our curriculum, and under the purview of our officers. They would be expected to follow our standards of discipline - with the same punishments for failure or incompetence.”
She turned her head a little.
“The location of the base is fine at Foutila.”
She now spoke again, regarding alliance.
“As for a treaty of friendship, that can also be arranged. I am not sure what, beyond collective defense and non-aggression, such a treaty would entail. I suppose that’ll be worked out when the Department of International Affairs ever decides to show up.”

Colonel Janhunen nodded, satisfied by these terms. “Very well, then we are in agreement, then, and we may leave it to the diplomats to formalize matters.”

The news of foreign companies such as the Marajarbian Construction and Shipping Company hiring native Nattian workers sent thousands of people flooding into Otsopaa as displaced people, many who had lost their homes and jobs, sought to get work.

The refugee camps and pre fabrication buildings outside of Alajari too found themselves being swelled to capacity as lines people, particularly those survivors from Foutila flooded the city, long lines of people streaming into the city while the foreign aid supplies of the Gonswanzans and Genoise were distributed to awaiting crowds. On the Leibor and Heva Rivers meanwhile, which cut through the heartland of the country, and were left without bridges (though in truth the Leibor still possessed one small bridge) the savvy owners of boats began acting as water taxied and ferrymen across the rivers.

As people flood in, they are put to work rather predictably. In fact, the struggle only increased as generators had to be shipped in with tent cities popping up, infantry being overwhelmed, as engineers had to try to make way for larger projects to keep the refugees occupied.

Yet, interested scouts from Faust soon arrive, offering far more profitable contracts for work to the common refugee, as they undergo their own construction projects, helping to train their own future forces, officers, and offering arms and aid to the common people who were capable. Deep Dragon Mining was slower still to arrive, though they were even slower to try to push for permission to set up offshore outposts in territorial waters for resource extraction to "employ the lost, the hungry" and open up a new job market. It was a dubious offer at best, however, given the letter arrived rather slowly and it seemed to be more of a photocopy of a failed telegram attempt.

Engineers continue to work to restore the city, photos taken of the tank graveyard that lay beyond the city limits, as well as footage being captured of the reconstruction. A panicked director soon stumbles in, finding inspiration in such a desolate place, before getting handed a shovel to help move rubble off the street and assist with other work. The scenes out of Alajari were promising, unlike that in Foutila, due to the slower trickle of aid and reconstruction. The bridges had yet to be restored, with the one slap job of a debris crossing collapsing with an armored crane on it, taking the lives of 5 Gonswanzans and 3 locals. They would be buried together, and a memorial prepared for them, while engineers flock to try to rebuild the bridges as critical infrastructure necessary to further aid.

The Provisional Council of State considered the foreign aid deal of Saint Asperes and decided fairly quickly that they would accept the deal of the billions and the training and certainly the fighter jets. It would mark a new flooding of wealth into the nation’s treasury and go to the reconstruction efforts of the many planned projects. At the suggestion of Koski, a new Provisional Ministry of Public Works was formed in order to organize, budget and record the many projects that would need to go on across the country.

The Provisional Council then turned their attention to the question of the monarchy. The greatest question the Royalists had ignored throughout the fighting days had been on who would actually sit the throne. The House of Bentheim-Steinfurt had ruled for over a hundred and twenty years, but had completely died out at the violent hands of Leo Pekkarinen. So it was decided that they would select a new monarch, with a new House. But who to choose.

Some had suggested a native Nattian— but perhaps to some surprise, no one who might have been suitable wanted the job. Besides, the Triumvirate, worried about a new Pekkarinen who might try to seize power didn’t want a rival from within the realm. Instead it was agreed that a foreign noble should be selected— one who was noble or royal, to appease the Royalists— while also not a threat to the new order of things. And, it was agreed a well chosen king would secure new alliances and friendly relations with other monarchies.

This still left the actual matter of choosing. Saint Asperes and Genes both had already thrown their proverbial hats in. To Saint Asperes a message was sent.

The Provisional Council is willing to consider a member of the House of Castenac for the throne. We ask that a profile of these most esteemed of noble blood be sent so that we may have more details in our consideration.

To Ambassador Moresco, the Provisional Council said,

“We are greatly honored to have you here in Nattia, your lordship, and we thank your king for his continued humanitarian assistance in Nattia. We too hope we may work well together in the future, and we are willing to consider His Majesty’s grandsons for the throne. We ask that a profile of these most esteemed of noble blood be sent so that we may have more details in our consideration.”

Thus to both royal courts were sent the following in regards to their would be candidates.

Name:
Title:
House:
Age:
Sex:
Religion:
Military Experience?:
Marital Status:
Children:
In line to inherit another throne?:
Political Views:
Connections to other nations or monarchs?:
Open to changing their name?:

This inquiry was shaped around what the Provisional Council thought would be important in a new monarch. They wanted someone noble, preferably a man, neither too old or too young, not set to inherit another kingdom, and who would adopt Nattian values and name. Marriage, children, religion and the rest could be negotiated on it was felt.

As for Inha and Raita, they thanked Nataye for his visit, but made no promises, save that the new monarch should be the one who could bring the greatest prosperity to the new kingdom. As far as they were concerned, this throne was best suited for whoever could pay them the most for it while also being an easily managed puppet of the Triumvirate.

They would be buried together, and a memorial prepared for them, while engineers flock to try to rebuild the bridges as critical infrastructure necessary to further aid.

The Alajari city council, lead by Mayor Iisak Laaksonen had considered the Gonswanzans proposal for a new monument, and while there were some who supported the idea of a monument, the idea of a grand gate guardian was swiftly shot down, particularly after the death of eight amidst the hasty clearing of rubble. There were a dozen unexpected problems arising in the city. One of the largest was want to do with the rubble. While most residential homes had been largely would constructions, several of the larger public or commercial buildings that had been stone and concrete and brick, and there was questions of what to do, or where to send the literal tons of rubbish.

Meanwhile people, particularly those who wished to make their way west to Otsopaa in hope of gaining new jobs and new riches were angered by the new cost of being ferried across the river. Meanwhile at the same time ferrymen and watermen argued that the rebuilding of the bridges would steal away the money they needed to feed their families.

Food too was becoming a problem. The Nattian diet, as one would expect of an island nation, was heavily seafood base, but with the destruction or heavy damage of the largest ports, few fishermen were able to take adavantage of the fact that the fishing season had begun in the midst of the civil war, and now found themselves without boats, or storage or market spaces.

Save for those in Otsopaa, which had become the most active fishing center in the country, though Karhu followed behind. The Otsopaa fishermen, hauling in both more fish than ever before thanks to the lack of competition, and seeing that they were the only vendors, began hiking up the prices of fish, making massive profits as desperate people clamored for the precious food stable. Even with the arrival of food supplies, distributors found it difficult to reach so many, so quickly.

The Ministry of Public Works, still newly created, found themselves thrown into the deep end as they tried to handle the clamoring of foreign companies eager to take advantage of the call for projects, and concerns began to be raised over the competition and safety concerns for workers in the country, both foreign, but in particular Nattians.

In response to complaints about the ferries, the Marajarbian Construction and Shipping Group begins working on methods to cheaply and safely transport the civilians to Otsopaa. This includes the construction of new bridges, and another ferry line which would only be 5.25 NSD per person for a round trip. In response to the growing crisis regarding the food supply, the Marajarbian Construction and Shipping Group begins construction on a high speed railway network to easily distribute people and food, while the Marajarbian Federation begins to import food directly from Marajarbia to provide to Nattian families and workers, while Marajarbia also calls on its CSL allies to assist in the reconstruction as well.

The monument idea was shelved, despite aproval, given the lack of an agreed upon designand more pressing matters at hand. One mild proposal was to use the rubble to rebuild the city, but that idea was crushed given the lack of infastructure. Not only that, but recycling concrete isn't a perfectly sound idea when it still contained traces of explosives. Yet, and perhaps regrettably, the debris wouod have to be seperated in an open air facility that was being built up and later ground into new concrete or melted down if it were metal into ingots, wood being mulched and turned into fuel pellets, paper, and other goods in a slow reclamation process. The bridge was one clear failure as to why one should avoid reusing debris for major constructs, but despite resistance, the armored engineers continue careful work on restoring cut bridges.

Heavy lift helicopters can be seen flying over, moving constructs or heaps of prefab components, still trying to build up the suburbs as reclaimed cement and artificisl gravel helped to pave new roads. A contest was held among the public for designs to be submitted for the memorial, a sign of rememberance to immortalize the Defense of Alajari, though a few designs were also submitted by Gonswanzan infantry. One such design, which was paraded around, would have a trench behind barbed wire fashioned from reclaimed rebar, the trench lined with cement, as steel soldiers peek up over the ridge, rifle in hand. Behind them, the Gonswanzan, EFU, and Nattian flags would be flown from three tall posts, with an enemy tank and infantry some distance away from the city, facing down thr trench. Between the two landmarks would be a space that could either be a flower garden, or a concrete slab, with further ideas tossed about such as a long wall dedicated to those lost.

Yet, it was one of many visual ideas being tossed about as submissions slid in. With MREs being handed out quickly, and fresh food putting a strain on logistics alongside the dispensing of food. Bread, crackers, pemmican, canned goods, donated food came flying in, as our little hero Alandra arrived to Alajari to pick up a spade to work with people clearing a path for a road. This moment was captured on camera, given her hands were in full view, showing that even the disabled could work to a common cause.

The Arakhkharan Delegation was greeted by Edvard Virta, the latest in a slew of secretaries hired by Janhunen as he tried to tackle the massive effort of rebuilding the nation. Virta escorted the Arakhkharans to a waiting motorcade that escorted them from Harjukuapunki to Otsopaa— a dramatic difference as they left the dark larger city for the shining smaller beacon of light that was the provisional capital. Upon arrival, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kain Juhola greeted the delegation, dressed formally in his military uniform as he was selected to handle the hashing out of the details of the treaty between Nattia and Arakhkhar.

Meanwhile Colonel Janhunen went to work, as always, in tackling the matters of the nation. On the Leibor and Heva Rivers the Marajarbian wish to aid in helping people cross had lead to ferrymen to complain of foreign competition against their own prices. This in turn had lead to the Fishermen of Otsopaa to team up with those of Fort Aimo and Karhu declared the foundation of the new Fishermen’s Guild, and issued demands to the Provisional Council, demanding the banning of foreign vessels or companies or non-guild members from commercial fishing in Nattian waters, which the Provisional Council, lead by the protectionist Vanhalato, agreed to.

Meanwhile the city council of Alajari took their time considering the various proposed ideas for a monument.
