Changzhou Air Force Base
Tartonica
June 5, 2010
At Changzhou Air Force Base, several aerial squadrons were scrambled, and all air traffic was suspended within 500 miles of Changzhou AFB. Three infantry divisions were assembled outside the AFB, and two tank divisions were supporting the infantry. All this security was necessary, however, because of a national event taking place. The Premier, along with the Minister of Defense, were in a watchtower, watching the events happening in the satellite launch pad in the center of the base.
"Sat 4, this is Changzhou AFB, request satellite feed of everything within 1000 miles of this base, over."
"This is Sat 4, sat feed redirected to Changzhou AFB, over."
"Copy. Zoom in at Sector 4 Delta for a second."
"Copy. Sat feed directed at Sector 4 Delta. Nothing sighted, over."
"Confirmed. Thanks for the assist, over and out."
After confirming that all sectors were clear, the Minister of Defense finally authorized the launch of the satellite, codenamed "Sat Alpha".
"Changzhou AFB to Control Tower, authorization is now granted. I repeat, authorization is now granted by the Minister of Defense."
"Copy that. Satellite launching in ten seconds."
"TEN!"
Smoke came out of the bottom of the rocket, as the fuel was starting to be ignited.
"NINE!"
The clamps holding the rocket were released.
...
"THREE!"
Fire was released from the bottom of the rocket.
"TWO!"
Everyone began taking pictures of the widely-documented launch.
"ONE!"
Everyone began cheering, as the countdown went to zero.
"ZERO! LAUNCH!"
The rocket slowly, with increasing speed, ascended into the sky, becoming the first in a series of launches, designed to be Tartonica's International Nuclear Deterrent Satellite System (INDSS).
