Following the first Federal Election of Faro and The Algarve, Vitorino Fernandes, Incumbent Federal Head, has decided to create a Ministerial Head position to further democratise the nation, The political parties who lost to his Party have rebranded and are willing to try a second time for the new position. The four parties that participated in the previous election, plus new ones, have come up to run against the incumbent heads.
