In a secure briefing room deep within F.O.B Mangalagar, Major-General Kepe Sofia Sawanming Ramirez sat at the head of a long table, surrounded by high-ranking military officials and foreign-allied intelligence agents. On the table in front of her, the detailed pre-operation strategy report for Operation Thunderstrike lay open.

She scanned through the report with a focused expression, taking in every detail. Major-General Ramirez was known for her tactical brilliance and precision in decision-making. Her sharp mind analyzed the strategic approach, the force composition, and the tactical maneuvers outlined in the report.

As she read, she occasionally paused to ask questions, seeking further clarification from the intelligence officers present. Her inquiries were incisive, showcasing her deep understanding of military operations and her meticulous attention to detail.

After thoroughly reviewing the report, Major-General Ramirez looked up and locked eyes with the foreign-allied intelligence agents seated around the table. With a firm and commanding voice, she addressed the room, "This operation is critical for the security and stability of our nation. The intelligence gathered from this mission will be invaluable in weakening the communist insurgency in La Paz Governorate. It is imperative that we execute this operation with the utmost precision and accuracy."

The intelligence agents nodded, acknowledging the importance of the mission. Major-General Ramirez continued, "Once the operation is completed, we will disseminate the information to our foreign allies. Our partners must be kept informed of our efforts to combat insurgency within our borders. However, I must stress the utmost confidentiality of this report. Only trusted foreign intelligence agents will have access to the full details of Operation Thunderstrike."

She leaned forward, resting her hands on the table, "This is not just a military operation; it is a collaboration between nations with shared interests in peace and security. We must work together to counter the threat posed by these extremists. Any leaks or breaches of security will be dealt with severely."

The foreign-allied intelligence agents nodded in agreement, fully aware of the gravity of the situation. Major-General Ramirez's reputation for swift action against any security breaches was well-known.

"As of now, the distribution of this report will be limited to our trusted allies. The operation will commence under the highest level of secrecy and confidentiality. Let this be a testament to our determination to safeguard our nation and stand united against any threat to our sovereignty," she concluded.

With her approval, the report was set to be distributed among select foreign intelligence agencies, strengthening the bond between allied nations in the fight against the communist insurgency. Major-General Ramirez's unwavering commitment to her country and her meticulous approach to strategy earned her the respect and trust of her colleagues and allies alike. The success of Operation Thunderstrike relied on the shared commitment to uphold peace and security in the region.

Task Force Southern Sentinel, Commonwealth Army of Hintuwan
RE.: Execution Strategy of Operation Thunderstrike
ATTN.: High-Ranking Foreign Advisers, Partners, and Consultants of Operation Southern Sentinel

EYES ONLY | 2023 | July 24th

Overview:
At 0400 Hours yesterday evening, Commonwealth Scouts successfully trailed a group of communist agitators from the city of New Temple to a small village 2 kilometers to its south, known as Manorang. The forward intelligence group reported a significant number of armed combatants branding communist party insignia within the vicinity of the town, and it is suspected that they are using the nearby hills and jungles to conceal their base of operations.

Objective:
S&D. The primary objective of Operation Thunderstrike is to neutralize a small communist rebel stronghold located in La Paz Governorate, Hintuwan. The operation aims to disrupt the rebel's command and control structure, degrade their operational capabilities, and gather critical intelligence to further weaken the insurgency in the region.

Situation Analysis:
The communist rebels in La Paz Governorate have been posing a significant threat to national security and stability by conducting propaganda activity in the surrounding areas. Their continued presence may agitate local farm workers and lead to strikes as well as other activities that will disrupt the economic recovery of Hintuwan. The stronghold, hidden deep within dense jungle terrain, has become a base of operations for their insurgency activities. Recent intelligence reports suggest an increase in rebel activity and the presence of high-ranking leaders at the stronghold.

Force Composition:

  • 30 highly-trained soldiers from the elite 103rd "Diamante" (Ulayawan) Infantry Battalion, led by Major Rafael Perez, will form the core assault team.
  • An intelligence support team will provide real-time updates and tactical insights during the operation.
  • The support team includes a medic, a communications specialist, and a logistics officer to ensure operational sustainability.
  • Foreign advisers of the Hintuwani government's intelligence collaboration program will be invited to join the operation at the discretion of Major Perez.

Tactical Approach:

Stealth Infiltration: The squad will utilize stealth and cover of darkness to infiltrate the jungle terrain surrounding the stronghold. They will move in small, silent groups to avoid detection.

Diversionary Tactics: A third team, led by Lieutenant Hernandez (Callsign: Panday Actual), will be tasked with launching a diversionary attack from the south. This will draw enemy forces away from the main objective, creating opportunities for the other teams to breach and secure key areas.

Coordinated Assault: The main assault teams, led by Sergeant Ramirez (Callsign: Mapulon Actual) and Corporal Martinez (Callsign: Apolaki Actual), will engage the enemy from the east and west respectively. Their objective is to establish control over critical areas, gradually encircle the stronghold, and eliminate enemy resistance.

Intelligence Gathering: Throughout the operation, the intelligence support team will collect valuable information about enemy positions, communication channels, and high-value targets. Captured enemy combatants will be processed for immediate intelligence extraction.

Tactical Withdrawal: Upon achieving the primary objective, the squads will withdraw from the stronghold, using the support truck to evacuate any injured soldiers and captured enemy combatants. The squads will cover each other's movements and employ tactical traps to delay enemy pursuit.

Rules of Engagement:
The squads will follow strict Rules of Engagement (ROE) to minimize civilian casualties and collateral damage. Non-combatants encountered during the operation will be treated with respect and care.

Extraction Plan:
The squads will regroup and rendezvous at a pre-designated extraction point where three Humvees will be waiting. The support truck will remain stationed at a safe distance, ready to provide cover fire and logistical support.

Conclusion:
Operation Thunderstrike is a critical mission to neutralize the communist rebel stronghold in La Paz Governorate. The success of this operation will significantly impact the insurgency's capabilities, weaken their hold on the region, and enhance overall national security. The combined expertise of the highly-trained soldiers and the intelligence support team will ensure a calculated and precise execution of the operation.

Signed,
Major-General Kepe Sofia Sawanming Ramirez

Mediaman Broadcasting Corporation

Brent Bryan: Good evening, and welcome to the nine o'clock news, I'm Brent Bryan. Tonight's stories, Princess Zieda's visit of Mediama's armed forces has been cut short due to internal politics back in Liegalla as the Mediaman naval taskforce heading to Liegalla is put on stand down, Allanea is condemned by the World Assembly Security Council, and the Free Lands of Selkie hosts a grand opening of their embassy in Illustrantia.

[Camera switches to one facing him, as a picture of Hintuwanian students looking at a board shows to his right behind him]

Brent Bryan: First up, Hintuwan establishes school reforms seeking to combat radicalization and to encourage the youth to foster skills to ensure that they cna work toward a brighter future. With us today is the Mediaman Minister of Education, Doctor Helena Scott. Thank you for joining us today Dr. Scott.

[The camera pans out to Doctor Helena Scott, a middle-aged women with brown, greying hair, and a conservative floral patterend dress.]

Dr. Helena Scott: And thank you for having me tonight Brent.

Brent Bryan: Now tell me, what does Hintuwan's curriculum reforms include? What exactly changed?

Dr. Helena Scott: Well Brent, some of these reforms are monetary, and some are geared towards the ever-perilous nature of life in Hintuwan. The former come in the form of increased funding towards infrastructure for public schools and adequate training for teachers so that they can be at an international standard. The latter can be seen in focuses on trade skills and skills needed in the Information Technology sector such as coding, or the arts, stuff that could really help bolster Hintuwans economy.

Brent Bryan: And then there's also the new curriculum they are implement to combat radicalism. Now Dr. Scott, some of our veiwers may be concerned regarding the loaded language revolving around 'deradicalization', heck state media apparatuses such as the UASR's 'People's Tribune' label it as fascist, and forms of brainwashing, claiming that Hintuwanians are bribed with food and money to attend, is that the case?

[Doctor Scott shook her head]

Doctor Helena Scott: No, not at all. I have looked at the proposed changes as they were being written. Their curriculm is somewhat based partly on civics courses taught in western democracies, though somewhat modified to show nuances and to give the students knowledge to make their own decisons, and to be aware of the dangers of radicalization moving forward. The insuation that they are coerced through food or money is dare I say it, poppycock.

The curriculum being rolled out applies to public schools, schools funded by the Hintuwanian taxpayer, which is where I believe some of the controversy lies. Similar to how here in Mediama and in any developed nation, a child is expected by law to attend school for a certain period of time. This is a time where they mature and develop to become members of society. As such, parents are rightly concerned about what is being taught to their children while they are in school. In a way they may be right that they are coerced into learning these things, but they also have the option to go to schools organized by the catholic church, or to private schools if they so afford it.

And just as a parent in Mediama could do here, a parent in Hintuwan can talk to their school board if they are concerned about the nature of the curriculum. The question I would want the viewer to ask Brent is whether or not they'd be offered the same choice under a communist government, or a fascist government? To seek for change in their curriculum if they were not satisfied with it? To lobby for change in the government if they were not satisfied with it? Outside of using violent force to which they seem to be fond of doing? The answer to that questions is the reason why such allegations at the end of the day are moot, pointless. Especially since that is not the only thing covered in these reforms.

I mentioned it before Brent, some of these reforms include much needed improvements to infrastructure and to training. And the emphasis on the arts, on trade skills, on IT skill, they all ensure that each and every Hintuwanian can get to where they want to be, rather than where some politburo or some commisar wants them to be. It gives them choice, it gives them hope, it gives them a bright future.

All in all, Hintuwan's reforms are natural given the political climate they are in, and these reforms will hopefully create a more knowledgeable and more determined populace. A populace who will finally see a peaceful future in their lifetime.

Brent Bryan: Ladies and gentlemen, that was Doctor Scott, Mediaman Minister of Education. Thank you for taking the time to speak with us Doctor Scott.

Doctor Helena Scott: My pleasure Brent.

Brend Bryan: And now for the weather...

Nixdorf and and his army counterpart listened with apt attention as Major General Ramirez gave her briefing. In the time between his departure from the Mediaman embassy and now, there had been little incident, and since then his naval, marine, and air force attaches had split off to their respective locations throughout Van Horn to gauge the Hintuwan military's abilities.

From what he could tell, Ramirez ran a tight ship.

She worked closely with her forces, and with the new wave of MI-6 agents that had either been deployed here earlier to covertly monitor the situation, or had just recently been deployed to further aid in COIN operations.

They were all dressed casually, the odd polo or Hawaiian shirt, mixed with jeans and hiking boots. The only thing that indicated that they were part of some sort of fighting force were the fact that they wore plate carriers and rigging for magazines for the P-90's they carried. In addition to the earpices that connected to a satilite radio.

And while the plan laid out was airtight, part of him wondered how much of it would survive the actual conflict. With all the pomp and circumstance he saw, he had yet to see any tangible action yet that tested the Hintuwanian forces. He brought up one concern he noticed.

"Forgive me Major-General, but is this going to be primarily an army operation, or are there going to be combined arms with artillery and air support? And will there be any followup operations in the region to hold the area to prevent communist recapture and to give the local populace piece of mind?"

“Additionally, MI-6 and the Mediaman RAF can provide real-time surveillance of the AO that could be relayed here so that you could respond quickly and accurately to changes on the field. Would you like to utilize that?” Added an MI-6 agent,
Mediaman Embassy,
Haijing, Hintuwan

Meanwhile, the cogs within the diplomatic corps began to run as Elora Jane, the Mediaman Trade Attache to Hintuwan, recieved the list, and began to make work of it. She deligated the work to MI-6 as they began to make efforts to collect information regarding the list of organizations the Hintuwanian president wanted them to consider.

As much as MI-6 was skilled at information gathering, nothing could ever beat seeing the actual company in person.

So after taking a look online, she decided to go with a few diplomatic security staff to the first of many on the list, especially given the news that had been released regarding curriculum reform.

Major-General Ramirez rebuffed Nixdorf's query in a somewhat arrogant manner:

"Artillery and air support will not be necessary for this operation as our scouts report that our force will outnumber the rebels 3 to 1 at the very least. Likely these are just a bunch of stragglers from the main force as we haven't detected any significant enemy movement in the New Temple area. Our heavy weapons are deployed in far more important sectors. In the event of a contingency however, there will be 3 UH-1s on standby courtesy of the 103rd's air recon section. They have been outfitted with unguided missiles, but they should not be called up unless absolutely necessary."

Even the Hintuwani officers on Ramirez's side of the table seemed dissatisfied with the Major-General's response but did not press further. One of them even darted Nixdorf with a silent, self-satisfied smirk as though to thank him for bringing it up. But this was quickly withdrawn when Ramirez began talking again.

"The police, on the other hand, have been commanded by my President to subordinate themselves to the commands of any and all Southern Sentinel military forces. They wouldn't dare intervene at a time like this."

"As for a follow-up operation, the communists do not currently control the village as far as we know. However we will be inspecting the town after this operation, and we shall apply the buckle and bolt solution accordingly. Kill or disarm the armed elements, talk to whoever's left. All of this has been taken into consideration."

Van Hoorn

The midday sun cast long shadows as pedestrians hurried about their business. Unbeknownst to most, a covert operation was underway. Undercover officers, blending seamlessly with the crowd, tailed their target – a man with a purposeful stride, his coat collar turned up against the chilly wind.

As he turned into a narrow alley, a sudden commotion erupted. The man found himself surrounded by a group of plainclothes police officers, their badges glinting in the dappled light. The element of surprise worked in their favor as they swiftly apprehended him, his protestations drowned out by the urgency of the situation.

"Identify yourself!" one of the officers shouted, waving a pistol in the suspect's face.

"Vladimir Lenin."

Another officer, a woman, drew her weapon and slapped the suspect in the face with it.

"Joseph fucking Stalin," taunted the suspect again, with a bloody nose.

"Hey asshole: if you don't ID yourself, we'll go through your personal effects ourselves until we find something that incriminates you," the other officer responded.

Back at the police department, the interrogation room was stark and sterile, the fluorescent lights casting an unrelenting glare. Seated at the table, the man – now identified as Miguel Arango – appeared composed, though a bead of sweat glistened on his brow.

Officer Paraga, a no-nonsense veteran with a keen eye for deception, began the questioning. "Miguel Arango, your activities have piqued our interest. We have evidence of your involvement in certain subversive circles."

Miguel leaned back, a hint of defiance in his gaze. "I'm just a voice for change, advocating for the rights of the oppressed."

Officer Luceque, her tone firm, leaned forward. "Advocacy is one thing, but we've traced your connections. Your meetings with known sympathizers of the UASR are well-documented."

Miguel's façade faltered slightly, his eyes darting momentarily. "I believe in solidarity, in a world where people stand up against injustice."

Luceque's gaze remained unwavering. "Solidarity, you say? How about your recent correspondence with a certain individual? Someone who conveniently visited Van Hoorn not too long ago?"

Miguel's expression tightened, though he maintained a veneer of nonchalance. "People meet, exchange ideas. It's part of the democratic process."

Paraga placed a dossier on the table, containing intercepted messages and photographs. "Democratic process doesn't typically involve encrypted communications and secretive rendezvous. Care to explain this?"

Miguel's gaze flicked to the dossier, his jaw tightening imperceptibly. "Look, I believe in change, but I'm no puppet of any foreign entity."

Paraga leaned in, his voice lowering to an almost ominous tone. "We have information that suggests otherwise. The UASR's involvement in subversive activities here – that's a serious matter."

Miguel's resolve wavered, a fleeting hint of vulnerability betraying his calm exterior. "I want a better future for my country. That's all."

Hours ticked by, the interrogation delving deeper into Miguel's connections and motivations. The atmosphere in the room grew increasingly charged, each question and response a step closer to uncovering the truth. The officers' persistence chipped away at Miguel's composure, his initial defiance giving way to a sense of unease.

"If any of this is even half-true... we'll have to take this to the top. All the way to the very top."

Haijing

In the opulent halls of the Haijing Palatial Tower, a tableau of history and modernity converged as President Henry Theodore Bulalacao was ushered into the meeting place by members of the Royal Regiment. The regal ambiance of crystal chandeliers and intricately woven tapestries set the stage for the weekly meeting with the constitutional monarch, Lontok XI of Clan Luntian. Their conversations were not mere formalities; they were a delicate interplay of tradition, strategy, and shared governance.

President Bulalacao, the embodiment of contemporary leadership, approached the ornate table where the Lakan awaited, his ceremonial robes resonating with the legacy of his lineage. The room held an almost reverential hush as the two leaders settled into their seats, mindful of the countless rulers who had convened under the same weighty gaze.

"Your Excellency," President Bulalacao began, his voice a blend of respect and purpose, "I trust you are well aware of the intricate political web that has woven itself around our foreign relations in these past weeks. I would like the first item on our agenda today to be regarding the significant challenges that the government, formed in your name, has had in seeking foreign aid to fight the current communist instability in the south."

Lontok XI, his gaze steady and measured, acknowledged the President with a nod. "Indeed, Mr. President. The currents of diplomacy are often as turbulent as they are nuanced. Please, enlighten me on the specifics."

Their discourse navigated through the convoluted avenues of international relations, touching upon regional alliances and shifting geopolitical landscapes. The President's astute observations were met with the Lakan's insightful inquiries, each acknowledging the significance of these discussions in shaping the destiny of Hintuwan.

Eventually, the issue of the UASR's increased attention towards Hintuwani politics was brought up. The UASR's support manifested in various ways, ranging from moral and ideological backing to potential arms and resources funneling to these factions.

"Your Highness," President Bulalacao began, his voice measured and concerned, "I must express my deep concerns about the UASR's increasing involvement in our internal affairs."

Lakan Lontok XI nodded gravely, acknowledging the weight of the situation. "Indeed, President Bulalacao. Their actions are cause for alarm. We cannot allow external forces to manipulate our nation's delicate balance."

President Bulalacao paused for a moment and, uncharacteristic of his typically undaunted and confident demeanor, began to speak in a much more hushed tone. The Lakan took notice and began to listen more eagerly to the news that was being relayed to him.

"Your Majesty, I'm afraid our most recent intelligence reports all but confirm that the UASR has established clandestine channels to provide both financial aid and training to certain insurgent groups within Hintuwan. At this stage, we do not yet know to what degree the UASR has been involved but the alarm has been raised in the government and we are taking increased precaution against a potential infiltration of the government formed in your name."

President Bulalacao continued.

"Discussions within the government are now dominated by how we can effectively address this challenge. The consensus is to prioritize diplomatic measures while maintaining a vigilant stance against any subversive activities. And while we're at it, we should engage in some degree of censorship. If the public were to find out about the true extent of the UASR's involvement in this rebellion as the facts come to light, it will surely only fuel panic about the situation. Furthermore, the possibility of forming a coalition of neighboring states to collectively address the UASR's interference is being explored, as it is believed that a unified approach would carry more weight on the international stage."

The President leaned forward, his gaze fixed on the Lakan. "We have been exploring diplomatic avenues to address this interference. Our foreign allies are eager to join forces and counter the UASR's meddling. But, we're yet to see any real support materialize from the major powers. Allanea has expressed interest in providing us with advisers but has yet to engage with the Ministry of Defense, while Mediama is hesitant to fund our socioeconomic recovery efforts."

The Lakan's eyes held a determined spark. "Diplomacy is essential, but we must also be prepared for any eventuality. Our security forces should remain vigilant, ready to thwart any subversive activities."

President Bulalacao nodded. "I agree, our intelligence agencies are already at work, gathering information and assessing the extent of the UASR's reach. It is crucial that our citizens are aware of these external pressures and stand united against them. But once more, your Majesty, I must stress the importance of gaining traction in the diplomatic approach that has been adopted by your government."

The Lakan raised an eyebrow.

"I suspect that you are about to ask me of something, Henry."

The President leaned back.

"Your Majesty.. You know that I do not ask this of you lightly. But perhaps, if the royal family could once again perform its patriotic duty to the Hintuwani state by being of some use to these current diplomatic efforts.."

The Lakan interrupted him:

"You want the family to throw a bone, either to Allanea or Mediama? How? I suppose we could throw a gala or something to make one or both of them feel important."

"Well, perhaps that may work with - if you'll forgive me - less sophisticated nations that are easily dazzled by stunts, but I do not think it would be appropriate to the situation we find ourselves in," President Bulalacao interjected. "However... it is my understanding that your penultimate son, Romulo, is currently in the process of considering his options for university."

"Yes. That's correct," responded the Lakan.

"Well," continued the President. "As highly advanced democracies and outward-looking ideological powers, Mediama and Allanea would probably look highly upon us if one of the most senior members of your family were to study in their country. Given that His Royal Highness has apparently expressed interest in the political sciences, it would signal Hintuwan as a nation that looks to the West for inspiration in running its society. While not actually upsetting the political groups that would be outraged if myself or other elected representatives were to outright announce this outlook as a policy."

The Lakan paused to consider the prospect for a little while.

"An interesting proposal, Mr. President. I suggest you contact our counterparts in Allanea and Mediama, send out a few feelers, while I shall talk to my son about it."

As the meeting progressed, President Bulalacao and Lakan Lontok's exchange shifted towards domestic policies, the challenge of economic recovery, and the delicate dance of social reforms. The conversation was punctuated by moments of shared understanding and the unspoken recognition that the collaboration between the government and the constitutional monarchy was essential for the nation's prosperity.

"Our people's unity is our greatest strength," the Lakan mused, a hint of resolve in his voice. "Despite these challenges, we shall continue to progress and ensure our nation's stability."

"Your Highness," President Bulalacao's tone was thoughtful, "these dialogues serve as a testament to the strength of our nation's foundation. They remind us that while our roles are distinct, our purpose aligns—to ensure a prosperous and harmonious future for our people."

Lontok XI's gaze met the President's with a steady resolve. "Indeed, Mr. President. The unity of our intentions, and the synergy of our efforts, is what has allowed our nation to flourish through the ebb and flow of history."

As the meeting concluded, both leaders rose from their seats, an unspoken bond uniting them. President Bulalacao offered a respectful bow, and the Lakan extended a gracious nod.

The People's Republic of Socialist Gestachia has been monitoring Hintuwanese Civil War for some time now, however with the recent escalations that took place and the reports of the inhuman anti-communist crackdowns we feel that we are obligated to remind all parties involved to uphold civil rights.

Signed: The Ministry of External, Foreign, and International Affairs of The People's Republic of Socialist Gestachia

SIC: Off the coast of The Commonwealth of Hintuwan a submarine belonging to the Gestachian Red Naval Fleet surfaced. 5 operatives of the Gestachian Ministry of State, Internal, and Interior Security and a crate of the famous J7 Flechette Assault Rifle with several ammo boxes of the distinct 8 mm fin-stabilized flechette sabot round were unloaded. Once the MSIIS operatives reached landfall they quickly burred the gun crate and ammo boxes at a place in the beach that will only be accessible during low tide in order to minimize the chances of discovery. The MSIIS operatives were armed with their standard covert issue: an AKL select-fire automatic pistol, 3 magazines of 9x20.5 mm ammunition, and a removeable stock embedded with a removeable fighting knife strapped on the leg. They set out into the jungle in order to carry out their mission: to make contact with the communists and to offer armed support on the behalf of The People's Republic of Socialist Gestachia.

Major-General Ramirez rebuffed Nixdorf's query in a somewhat arrogant manner:

All of this has been taken into consideration."
She's going to get everyone killed. Nixdorf thought to himself. He could tell with the way he Major-General held herself as she replied to his concerns at the lack of combined arms.

What further worried him was the fact that her subbordinates seemed to agree with him, but wouldn't bring their own concerns to their CO. It made sense really, he had his own fears of similar matters when he was just starting out in the Royal Navy, even if he started out as an ensign rather than a seaman, he still had someone to report to at the end of the day.

At the same time though, his time at OCS had taught him that while there was a clear rank structure, as a leader, he would've been expected to have some modicum of self-sufficiency and critical thinking to determine what the best course of action. It was clear that Hintuwan's officer training was wanting.

It also bothered him that she had seemingly not noticed MI-6's offer to provide aerial surveillance, it was clear that she wanted to make this as much of an army operation as possible. On the other hand, it had been noted that Hintuwan's artillery units were in desprate need of upgrated equipment, that could play a role into why the good Major-General did not want to dedicate artillery to the operation.

"Forgive me ma'am, I may not have the call to say what you should do for your forces, that will be up to the advisors we send if it is ever decided, but I would not want to underestimate this rebel cell, even if you do outnumber them. With the kind of weaponry the UASR may have provided them, their numbers could be easily made up by their hardware, and the tide of battle could quickly change.

While it is laudible that you have through to include some gunships as quick reaction forces, you may want to dedicate something with longer loiter times so they could stay in the area longer and thus respond more quickly should the need for air support arise."

"Additionally ma'am," The army attache added in, "You may want to attach troops on helicopters to that QRF as well so they could quickly cut off any escape and reinforce any given area in the AO."

"Working with the police department may also be a good idea given this operation will take place in their jurisdiction in a local village. They may be more familiar with the area, and may know where these insurgents are hiding to close the noose even further on these forces." Nixdorf added. "Even better if your gunships and your troops are all equipped with night vision gear, that would certainly give your forces a significant advantage given this is taking place at night." Nixdorf nodded to the MI-6 attachment, "Their survailance satellites, drones, and survailance aircraft also provide inferred monitoring, so they may provide even more help in this operation."

Nixdorf looked back to the Major-General. "We may think this is just a small operation ma'am, but it's better to overestimate our enemy rather than underestimate it."
Mediaman Embassy, Haijing
Hintuwan

Ambassador Grant certainy did not like the picture that was being painted. Initial reports from MI-6 regarding the list the president had sent them had proved that there was more that met the eye. And with the fact that their Allanean allies had yet to make an appearance, nor may make one in a while given the situation they've been dealing with from the WA, he thought it paramount that Mediama take a larger role in this conflict to buy time for their western allies in NATO or the Strategic and Economic Alliance to respond, and at the same time, find some less courrupt leadership.

Having kept an ear to the ground on local politics, aside from the major factions of the Communist Party and the League of Christian-Muslim Constitutionalists, there were two parties that may provide to be more transparant for Mediama: The Liberal Party of Hintuwan, and the Royalist Party of Hintuwan. Both held similar positions to the other, in fact they used to be confused for the other in their earlier establishments in modern Hintuwanian history, had even worked well with each other in the days before Hintuwan's fall to dictatorship. One could argue that they provided more of a net positive for Hintuwan given the current ruling party's history of being said dictatorship.

The fact that support for the latter may make ties with the Mediaman and Hintuwanian monarchies closer was an added bonus, as is the added pressure to the current president to not play coy with them.

And so Ambassador Grant picked up the phone, and started looking through the net for the contact information for both the LPH and the RPH, and to begin talks between their respective leaders.

[An intro sequence plays as relevant footage of the headlines is played]

Brent Bryan: Bud Lite's financial troubles expand past borders as Mediaman markets join in the ongoing boycott, the Allanean Foreign Minister responds to the WA condemnation, and Mediaman universities unilaterally roll out programs for Hintuwanian students. This and more, on the nine o'clock news.

Announcer: From MBC News World Headquarters in New London, this is the nine o'clock news with Brent Bryan.

[Camera switches to Brent Bryan behind the news desk]

Brent Bryan: Good evening ladies and gentlemen first up, several Mediaman universities have come together to provide education opportunities to Hintuwanian youth.

[Footage of various Mediaman universities and their students going about their day plays out as the universities are listed]

Brent Bryan: Both the University of Mediama, and Mediama State systems,Queen Victoria Woman's University, New London University, La Fontaine University, Brendan Polytechnic, and many more have united to provide their own scholarships and have set guidelines to encourage Hintuwanian enrollment. Some of these guidelines include the establishment of a network of admissions counselors both in-person in Hintuwan and online to help Hintuwanian students apply to their respective universities, as well as an establishment of a foreign exchange network with various Hintuwanian universities.

[Footage switches to Dr. Scott as she is giving a press conference for the Mediaman Ministry of Education]

Brent Bryan: This comes with recent calls by the Mediaman Minister of Education, Doctor Helena Scott, to encourage more cooporation between both respective nation's educational institutions.

Dr. Helena Scott: As a mother and an educator, one does not need to understate the importance of education in a young one's life. Their upbringing, their schooling, shapes them into the people they are as adults. That is why we need to emphasize on education if we want to combat communist indoctrination and any other forms of subversion which may threaten freedom and democracy both here and abroad.

While our enemies export guns and bombs, we must do that and more. We cannot simply be the arsenal of the free world, we must give everyone hope, hope for a better future.

[Footage switches to segments of students going about their day before switching to a news conference held by the the University of Mediama's President]

Brent Bryan: This coalition of universities joins various other academic institutions varying from high schools to community colleges and other private universities under the MoE's rallying cry. Mary Kensington, president of Mediama university, put out a statement representing the coalition.

Mary Kensignton: Part of what makes a democracy function is a well-informed, well-educated populace. This announcement was a long time coming, and we've had talks regarding this with other universities in the works before Doctor Scott's procclamation. With everything that is happening at the moment, it is easy to focus on immediate dangers and in turn neglect the future that comes after war. We hope to close that concern.

It is our hope that with our contribution, the victories gained by the Hintuwani government could be kept for years to come.

[Camera switches back to Brent Bryan]

Brent Bryan: This new coalition joins the ever-growing effort to combat communism both here and abroad, and to foster democracy and freedom to the world at large. And while the current ongoing conflict brings uncertainty, these efforts will surely be remembered for days to come. And now for the weather...
Bellingham Park,
Mediama

Bellingham Park was the headquarters of MI-6, no one really knew that much outside of that. On the outside, it simply looked like your typical Edwardian manor, if not even bigger still, having been built by a Mediaman oil tychoon before he donated it to the Mediaman government. On the inside however, and even under, was a hive of activity. Starting from humble originas as Mediama's answer to Bletchley Park in World War II, the complex itself had since seen expansion while keeping to the Edwardian architecture, no one wanted an eyesore afterall.

It was here that some of the boys in the underground facility noticed some unusual activity off the coast of Hintuwan, picked up by one of their spy satellites: A foreign submarine surfacing, deploying pontoon boats. The agent turned back, "Sir, we may have picked something up on the satellite."

The leading officer of the shift came over to look, then frowned in concern. "Get this footage recorded, and keep an eye on that sub, we'll get this over to Hintuwan's defense forces as soon as possible."

The operative nodded, "Yes sir." The officer headed back to his office, and picked up a direct phoneline to the Mediaman Ministry of Defense to relay the intel to Hintuwan, along with the footage and coordinates.

Nixdorf looked back to the Major-General. "We may think this is just a small operation ma'am, but it's better to overestimate our enemy rather than underestimate it."

The atmosphere was tense as high-ranking military officials and foreign-allied intelligence agents waited for her response. Major-General Kepe Sofia Sawanming Ramirez sat at the head of the table, her stern gaze fixed on the pre-operation strategy report for Operation Thunderstrike.

Major-General Ramirez scanned through the report, her brow furrowing slightly as she absorbed the details. As she read, she couldn't help but notice the recommendations put forth by the foreign agents, including Nixdorf's meticulous analysis. A small spark of irritation flickered within her, but she pushed it aside, reminding herself that the order to collaborate with the foreigners was given to her by the President himself.

After a moment of contemplation, Major-General Ramirez leaned back in her chair and addressed the room, her tone firm and authoritative. "Gentlemen, your insights are duly noted, and I appreciate your thorough assessment of the situation." She avoided looking directly at Nixdorf, feeling a subtle pang of embarrassment that a foreigner had pinpointed aspects she hadn't fully considered.

"As military professionals, it is our duty to prioritize the success of this operation and the safety of our personnel," she continued, her voice unwavering. "I concur that enhancing our air support and incorporating night vision gear are prudent measures."

She glanced briefly at Nixdorf before returning her attention to the table. "Furthermore, involving the local police and leveraging their knowledge of the area is a sensible approach. We shall proceed with these modifications to the plan."

She turned her gaze to the MI-6 attachment. "I appreciate your assurance of satellite and surveillance support. This will undoubtedly bolster our situational awareness and give us an edge in tracking enemy movements. However, I assure you that our own personnel have reconnoitered the area before hand, I can't see why we should spend more time on reconnaissance. We should move immediately before word gets out to the rebels and they make any kind of escape."

The Hintuwani commander speaking Hintuwanese, called for one of her aides-de-camp, and began whispering what sounded like orders. The aide reported back in a quivering, somewhat hesitant tone - as though there was something that wasn't being relayed to the foreign advisers that the two of them knew. Soon after, the aide was dismissed and sent out of the tent.

Major-General Ramirez paused, her pride clashing with the need for effective decision-making. "Rest assured, gentlemen, that my primary focus is on achieving the mission objectives. I move that we adjourn this current meeting and make the necessary preparations that we have discussed. I expect you all to be here again at 0300 hours tomorrow so we can execute the operation as planned.

If any of you have further 'concerns', I shall be available for consultation in my field tent."

In the heart of the bustling military base, Major Rafael Perez - the man who had been put in charge of the operation on the ground - was a commanding presence. Tall and imposing, his chiseled features and piercing gaze were a reflection of the years he had spent serving in the Hintuwani military. A no-nonsense demeanor accompanied his reputation as a disciplined and highly capable officer.

Having grown up in a modest family in the outskirts of Cape Favre, Perez's journey to becoming a major in the Hintuwani military was a testament to his determination and resilience. Raised by hardworking parents who instilled in him a strong work ethic and a sense of duty, Perez was driven to excel from a young age. He had earned a scholarship to the prestigious Haijing Royal Military Academy, where his natural leadership qualities quickly came to the fore.

As he strode through the operations room, his posture radiated confidence and authority. His uniform, adorned with medals and commendations, was a testament to his service and dedication. Yet, beneath his disciplined exterior, there was a deeper layer that only those closest to him understood.

Perez's dedication to his soldiers bordered on paternal. He had earned their loyalty not through fear, but through his genuine concern for their well-being. It was not uncommon for him to personally check in with his troops, offering words of encouragement and even sharing stories from his own experiences. This bond, forged through mutual respect, transformed his unit into a tightly-knit team.

At the large table displaying the three-dimensional model of the operation area, Perez's attention to detail was evident. His fingers traced the contours of the terrain, envisioning every possible scenario. He engaged in spirited discussions with his officers, welcoming their input and fostering an atmosphere of collaboration.

During the final briefing, his voice carried a mix of authority and warmth. He emphasized the importance of unity and communication, reassuring his team that he had full confidence in their abilities. It was a testament to his leadership style – firm yet compassionate, demanding excellence while offering unwavering support.

As the hours ticked away, Perez's mind was a whirlwind of calculations and strategic decisions. He closely monitored the reports that were being handed to him by his staff, his instincts honed by years of field experience. His decision-making process was both analytical and intuitive, a testament to his mastery of the art of warfare.

Outside, armored vehicles rumbled to life under his watchful eye. His heart beat in rhythm with the synchronized movements of his troops, a shared determination coursing through their veins. He had been through countless operations, each leaving an indelible mark on his character. The weight of responsibility rested on his shoulders, a burden he bore with the utmost integrity.

Operation Thunderstrike

Major Perez felt the heat rising from his lungs as he smoked one last cigarette before joining up with his squad. It was the early hours of the morning in La Paz - once the smoke cleared his lungs, Perez took a moment to breathe the fresh salt-scented air and gaze at the stars still shining bright under a sky that was only just beginning to turn a purple-orangish color. Two words - mount up, and the three squads: Panday, Mapulon, and Apolaki quickly assumed their positions. Three APCs rolled out of F.O.B Mangalagar, and God willing, three would return - thought the Major.

The ride to the enemy camp was... quiet, to say the least. Darkness lightly shrouded the Hintuwani assault teams like the morning fog of the Columba highlands. The 103rd Diyamante were hardened men who knew how to get the job done properly, not ragged conscripts or newbie recruits. Perez knew that too. These men had seen the best and the worst fighting of the war against the communists in the region so far. Beards uncut, the mark of long months of service ("service beards", some called them) without the cold blade of a barber's razor symbolizing civilization, adorned the men proudly.

The convoy hit a crossroads, and Panday veered off to execute their part of the mission. Above, far beyond the broken cloud cover and unbeknownst to the enemy and unseen by the Hintuwani soldiers swiftly approaching the area of operations, was an Airborne Early Warning and Control Specialist (AEW&C) from the Hintuwani Air Force in an E-3 flying in circles accompanied by a Mediamen attaché directing airborne support. Attack helicopter crews were on standby at a nearby Hintuwani makeshift airfield, an outpost built days prior specifically for the operation.

Corporal Martinez of Apolaki squad was the first to spot the enemy from the ground. Sandbags, sleeping bags, a large tent, and a small wooden watchtower permeated the enemy front. Using advanced heat signature technology patented from Mediama, the AE&W specialist relayed a small force of about 17 hostiles to the three assault teams - most of whom still lay asleep and were virtually unarmed. Major Perez signaled all squads: go dark. Each man activated his night vision goggles.

At 0430, the first shots were fired. Contact was initiated by Panday squad from the far northern side as planned, 150 yards from an open field across the camp. Hernandez's men let loose a barrage of hip-fired grenades from their M16 assault rifles before shifting cover to avoid enemy detection. By this time, the entire camp had been woken up and the communist rebels began mobilizing to firing positions. Some took cover behind fallen logs, others behind empty ammunition boxes, as well as pieces of scrap metal the rebels had gathered to build makeshift ramparts.

As planned, Mapulon and Apolaki moved silently forward from east and west respectively to initiate a surgical strike against the enemy. Sergeant Ramirez directed his heavy machine-gunner to lay down suppressing fire as his men moved ever closer to destroy the communist encampment. The APCs trailed the Hintuwani soldiers. One rebel fired a shoulder-mounted RPG-7 at one of the Hintuwani APCs. It exploded upon impact. The remaining APCs were moved to the rear.

Then out of nowhere: one shot, sharp and accurate, fired from an old bolt-action rifle wielded by one of the rebels whirred through the air and towards one of Hernandez's men. Panday Three, Warilok Lacsaman, a first-class private and Hernandez's communications officer had his neck instantly blown off by a sniper's bullet. His commanding officer called for a medic, but it was too late. The shot was clean as could be. War was hell.

The remaining troops of the assault force closed in as the rebel commander began to order a tactical retreat. From the large tent focal to the camp's structure emerged the figure of a tall rebel with a round magazine RPK. Firing wildly to the east, the rebel took out another Hintuwani soldier - Mapulon Five, Corporal Alejandrino Paquieta - just as he was moving out of cover. Three men were grazed from the main assault force, by small arms fire coming from the communist fighter's side.

With casualties piling and the rebels beginning to make their escape Major Perez signalled AE&W to send for air support in due haste. In less than 10 minutes after calling it in, the shape of a UH-1H would begin to appear on the horizon unleashing its furious barrage of unguided missiles as it made a clean streak across the area of operations. Flames engulfed the previously peaceful and serene tropical jungle. As the helicopter turned around to make another round, another rocket was fired by one of the rebels at the low-flying vehicle - narrowly missing its target.

Ramirez, Mapulon Actual, ordered his men in pursuit of the rebels as they made a break for the wilderness but to no avail. Panday squad and Apolaki squad moved in to permanently secure the encampment.

"... All-in-all, we have 4 casualties ma'am. Two dead, two in critical condition. Only Private Arankok was lucky enough to have only been hit slightly above the knee and will be fit to resume service by week's end. 11 enemy casualties from the 17 our AE&W marked, none captured, and no significant intelligence was retrieved by our communications officers when they took inventory of the rebel cache," reported Major Perez - standing attention in front of Major-General Kepe Sofia Sawanming Ramirez.

"So, at best we can call this a pyrrhic victory. Aside from temporarily delaying rebel operations in La Paz, we still have nothing. I want a full after-action report on my desk behind tomorrow morning. Make information about the operation available to our foreign allies and consultants, and have them draw their own conclusion as to where we went wrong, but for God's sake I don't want this thing ending up in the hands of the papers."

The Gestachians traveled for days in the wilderness of Hintuwan's far southern region, following hidden messages left behind by the resistance and local guides all under the party's watchful eye, before finally arriving at their destination: a nipa hut just a little north of New Temple near an abandoned rice paddy where Chinbi Myawaddy - speaker of the communist movement in Hintuwan, lie waiting.

She met the Gestachians with a curious look, three bodyguards by her side, five chairs, a long table, and plates of a traditional Hintuwani meal composed of oxtail and vegetables cooked in peanut sauce.

"Comrades! So delighted to finally meet your acquaintance. I apologize for the secrecy, it is best to lay low given the current situation in the region. Now, I understand you have a proposal for our organization. Sit, eat with us, and let us hear it.

One of the MSIIS agents spoke, "Thank you for trusting us, we are agents of the Directorate of Special Operations of the Ministry of State, Internal, and Interior Security of the People's Republic of Socialist Gestachia." He took out is badge, "Our mission was to establish contact with you and to help advance your revolution, as token of trust we planted a crate of J7 Flechette Assault Rifles at this location. It is one of the finest weapons ever made-using caseless flèchette ammunition resulting in lighter munitions and extreme penetrating ability. We recommend that you use this crate for elite units.

Weapons talk aside do you have a radio or any way for us to contact our submarine? Also what do kind of aid do you need? Gestachia will likely supply it.

Myawaddy looked pleasantly surprised at the Gestachians' straightforwardness but looked disappointed in their imprudence.

"We thank you for your gracious help. The arms are a welcome addition to our growing arsenal. We will send out one of our armed cadres to retrieve them later this afternoon. Though I am concerned about securing ammunition for this new rifle, can the party trust to receive annual shipments from your government?"

Myawaddy continued.

"We are ready to receive any and all encrypted communications through our long-range radio station. We have a very capable radio officer at our nearby encampment who can talk to you later regarding our current capabilities, and we are prepared to send her as an envoy to your end to ensure swift communication between our two sides."

Myawaddy leaned forward.

"Right now, what we *really* need are soldiers. Trained soldiers capable of fighting the Hintuwani government in open battle, man to man. And instructors willing to teach our recruits how to do this properly. We have very young, idealistic troops who would give anything for the revolution but who are all too inexperienced at the art of war. We trust that your government stands ready to provide these as well?"

"Before you try to retrieve the weapons I want to point out that the crate can only be retrieved in low tide. As for the concern about ammunition Gestachia will supply what weapons and ammunition that you need, not just rifles but RPGs, flamethrowers, artillery shells, etc.

But now that we know what you need (advisors and soldiers) we can request them, I am willing to bet that we can get as many advisors as you need and solders in the 5 figure rage. But right now there is 5 of us and since we are agents of the Directorate of Special Operations we are trained to fight and can help train an elite unit should you decide to create one."

"You may start immediately," replied Myawaddy, grinning.

Ka Aguila led the Gestachian agents to a truck outside the nipa hut and handed them blindfolds.

"Sorry comrades, it's for our protection. We can't reveal to you the location of our headquarters just yet."

CPH Forward Operating Base
Exact Location Unknown
La Paz Governorate

The Communist Party of Hintuwan's headquarters, nestled in a secluded area deep within the dense Lan Guó wilderness, was a clandestine complex hidden beneath the thick foliage. The entrance, concealed by natural camouflage and guarded by loyal party members, led to an underground network of tunnels and chambers.

On this particular day, the atmosphere was tense as Ka Aguila, a seasoned revolutionary and leader of the Zachwa people, arrived with five agents from Socialist Gestachia. The lush surroundings masked the secret base effectively, and only those with precise coordinates could find their way through the labyrinthine paths.

The entrance, marked by a weathered red flag bearing the hammer and sickle, was well-guarded. Armed sentinels, clad in olive-green uniforms and adorned with the iconic red star, scrutinized every approaching figure.

As Ka Aguila and the Gestachian agents approached, the guards signaled a recognition of their presence. The heavy metal door, designed to blend seamlessly with the rocky terrain, creaked open, revealing a dimly lit corridor.

The interior of the headquarters was a maze of narrow passages adorned with revolutionary art and propaganda. Red banners with slogans of equality and solidarity hung from the walls, and faded photographs depicted key figures in the Communist Party's history.

Ka Aguila, a towering figure with an air of authority, led the group through the labyrinthine halls. The agents from Socialist Gestachia, wearing dark tactical gear, moved with precision, their expressions concealed behind masks. The air buzzed with a mixture of anticipation and secrecy.

The meeting room, a dimly lit chamber with a large circular table, awaited them. Maps of strategic locations and blueprints were spread across its surface. As they entered, a hushed conversation among party leaders ceased, and all eyes turned to the newcomers.

The leader of the Communist Party of Hintuwan, a seasoned revolutionary known by the pseudonym Comrade Lintang, rose to greet Ka Aguila. Their handshake symbolized a union of two forces with a common goal – the overthrow of the ruling government.

"Comrade Ka Aguila, welcome. And I see you brought our newfound friends. Your presence honors our cause," Comrade Lintang declared, his voice echoing through the room.

Ka Aguila nodded solemnly, "Comrade Lintang, the Zachwa stand united with the cause of the Hintuwani proletariat."

As they sat around the table, plans unfolded. The formation of an elite sniper regiment, a force to be reckoned with, was discussed in hushed tones. The agents from Socialist Gestachia, experts in covert operations, exchanged nods of understanding.

The room echoed with the sounds of whispered strategy, a clandestine collaboration aimed at challenging the might of the Hintuwani government. The dim light cast shadows on determined faces, all committed to the revolution's clandestine dance.

Outside, the lush Lan Guó wilderness concealed the secrets within, as the alliance between the Zachwa and Socialist Gestachia forged a dangerous path toward revolution.

"Very well, you may use the radio station here in our base, if that is what you desire," responded Ka Aguila.

"Listen up!", barked Lt. Anja Oksanen. Operation Hardwood was going to be a tough one, and she would exceed even Mikhalsen's wildest dreams. "Now, we need
all of you need to learn how to fly this machine behind me," she gestured to the F-4 behind her, "this machine requires the utmost precision. Take care of it and it will take care of you." She looked at her audience. Young fresh-faced recruits and grizzled veterans, most of whom probably never hearing of Tajijstan untill now.
"Question ma'am?" Asked a timid young man. She turned to him and her face softened, "Yes?" she returned.
"Don't we need mechanics?"
After a moment, Anja let out a laugh, "Of course, almost forgot, any one who has mechanical knowledge are first in line. As the technical trainer is still en route, you are dismissed." She watched as the pilots scattered to take advantage of their free time. She returned to her barracks that had been allocated to her. It wasn't long until she heard the rattling of an HU-16. She saw the twin-engined plane hit the runway and coast to the staging area. The tech crew was here

"Thank you," replied the agents.

Two of the agents were escorted to the radio room.

Radio station:
"Who are these men?" Asked the radio officer. One of the escorting officers replied, "They are agents of Socialist Gestachia, they were assigned to help us achieve our liberation." The radio officer shook one of the agent's hands, "Well then, what can I do for you comrades?" "We were dropped off here via a submarine, we need to report our status. Can I have a pen and paper?" "Sure." The agent wrote down a series of numbers and letters, "I need you to broadcast this at this frequency." "Done." "Great, now we just need to wait a little."

Submarine:
"Annnnd I believe that is checkmate commander." "Well played, you'd make a better commander for this vessel." Both men laughed. A lieutenant ran down, "Commander! We need you at the bridge! They made contact!" The commander promptly got up at climbed up to the bridge, "What did our comrades send out?" "They successfully made contact and is currently requesting an acknowledgement." "Well, send it out!"

Radio station:
"We're getting something," said the radio officer. One of the agents wrote down what was coming out of the headset, "Great, that's our submarine." The agent wrote down another series of letters and numbers, "Now can you send this out?"

Submarine:
"They sent something else out, 'request..... advisors.... professional volunteers....... relay... end.' Wow they are making progress." "Indeed," replied the commander, "Now relay this to the MSIIS and tell them that our comrades made contact."

MSIIS Building:
*BANG* *BANG* *BANG BANG* *BANG* "Wow! How did you learn to shoot like that comrade?" "Well, comrade major I-" Suddenly another officer walked onto the range, "Comrade lieutenant colonel, I have great news! Our comrades in Hintuwan has made contact with our Hintuwani comrades! Here's part of the report." The lieutenant colonel took the folder and took a quick glance and turned to the major, "I'm sorry comrade, we'll talk later." "Likewise."

The lieutenant colonel and the officer were now walking out to the hallway, "So, comrade. They are requesting advisors and professional volunteers." "Yes comrade lieutenant colonel, our agents stated that's what they need the most." "Alright then, I will try to procure some resources, but what does are spies in Hintuwan say?" "Well as you know we barely have any in the Hintuwani government but the 'word on the street' so to speak is that the Hintuwani government is trying to bring their military up to North Atlantic Terrorist Organization's standard, and I got more bad news Hintuwan might get more fighters." "Damn. We will need to work quickly. If our Hintuwani comrades manage to capture one of the islands we could send them planes, but that is very very far down the road." "What should we tell our agents?" "Just tell them that we acknowledge their request, are working towards it, and that we will update them at the same time tomorrow."

Submarine:
"Alright! We are finally getting a response back from the MSIIS, it is telling us to relay it back the operatives."

Radio station:
"We are now getting another response," said the radio officer. One of the agents wrote the response and decoded it." He smiled, "Comrades I have some good news. The Ministry of State, Internal, and Interior Security is telling us that they are actively working to fulfill your request of advisors and professional volunteers and that they will send out another radio broadcast at the same time tomorrow. Now in the meantime how can we be useful?"

A vehicle from the Allanean embassy moved through the streets of Haijing, towards the Ministry of Defense building. Its windows were tinted, concealing the faces of the passengers. When they dismounted in front of the embassy, it turned out that they were a man and a woman. The man was in his forties, with greying black hair that was cropped short and the woman was somewhat younger, with dark-brown hair. Both were dressed in pressed camouflage uniforms. These were Colonel Stephen Vaughan and Major Svetlana Petrenko. They made their way into the Ministry of Defense building.

Ministry of Defense
Haijing

Colonel Stephen Vaughan and Major Svetlana Petrenko were ushered into the Ministry of Defense building with a certain degree of formality. The polished marble floors echoed with the click of their military boots as they traversed the corridor, their crisp camouflage uniforms reflecting the discipline they brought with them.

As they reached the designated meeting room, they were met by the formidable figure of the retired general, Parasaligan Daclan. The atmosphere in the room shifted, becoming charged with the weight of military history and strategic discussions.

General Daclan, a seasoned veteran with a stern countenance, rose from his seat as a sign of respect. His uniform, adorned with medals and insignias, spoke volumes of his long and distinguished service to Hintuwan. His handshake was firm and carried the gravitas of a military leader.

"Colonel Vaughan, Major Petrenko," he said, acknowledging their presence. "Welcome to the Ministry of Defense. Your visit is highly anticipated. Please, have a seat."

The meeting room, adorned with maps and military memorabilia, bore witness to the nation's defense legacy. The general motioned for them to sit, taking his own seat at the head of the table.

"Let's get straight to business," General Daclan began, his tone businesslike but tinged with the authority of a seasoned military commander. "We appreciate the support of Allanea in these challenging times. The situation in our country demands a united front, and your expertise is invaluable. I trust you've had a comfortable journey?"
