A near perfect copy of the Japanese ShinMaywa US-2 Flying Boat, the Catalogne C1 was designed for Overseas France; building and maintaining airstrips on every island was costly for the former corporation-turned-nation. Within the first 48 hours after Le Libertaire confirmed their involvement, their entry into the conflict was quiet and unannounced, officially remaining indecisive and neutral according to the news outlets.
Arriving under the cover of darkness, 20 combatants - a total of two squads - bustled out of the airplane, quickly proceeding to meet their Uruguayan contacts at the nearby bridge and then the train station. Despite the long flight from a disclosed location, including a midair refueling, the clone soldiers were alert, having slept throughout most of the trip. By daybreak, the city quietly fell under the control of Le Libertaire, gradually reinforced with Uruguayan operatives within the next 72 hours.
Armed with customized AK101s, each soldier of L'armée Libertaire is a direct descendant of the Dunios sisters - every soldier naturally inherits their accelerated aging and superhuman learning capabilities despite slight physical differences (i.e. eye color). Connected by an advanced battlefield control system, the 20 soldiers were able to take control of a small city like Paso de los Toros with very little difficulty. Sharing each other's senses and emotional-biological data, they had eyes and ears everywhere throughout the city; everyone knows where danger will lurk and appear regardless of location.
Sergeante Lemon Séchan de la Commune Libertaire Charlie was among the commanding officers stationed at Paso de los Toros, accompanying Lieutenante Sierra Juliet at their makeshift command centre at the train station.
"Je pense que vous devez tous savoir que Monsieur Carlos est le Colonel Montecarlo du 2e Infanterie motorisée uruguayenne. En termes simples, il nous surpasse tous. (1)" Mme Sierra said as she was eying her chest-mounted military tablet, nodding to the Uruguayan gentleman nearby.
"Es de este momento mi regimiento ya no existe ... por ahora. (2)" Montecarlo said, smoking a cigarette as he finished inspecting the nearby doorframe of the former foreman's office. "Oh, and uh, por favor, continua."
"Ouias, si vous êtes prêt, caporal. (3)" She said, appearing to talk to no one in particular.
"Je suis là, soeur." Mme Lemon said, her speech perfectly audible thanks to their headsets.
"Allez-y, Lieutenante." The others said on the encrypted wavelengths.
