After the Austrian government begun to leave the European Union to gain more independance and to leave the German sphere of influence, The German army under direct orders of the acting monarch begun a large scale military deployment on the Austrian-German border. As the German government requests Austria to stop they act of betrayl. The president of Austria urgently asks for International support as his country risks what looks like a soon to be German invasion.

SIC: Unofficial reasons for the German invasion: Gain control over Austrias lead reserve take over the Austrian Alps to protect mainland Germanys southern flank and to get closer at unifing the German countries into 1.

After finding out the Russian Government was also supporting Austria, the Istanbul Channel was opened up to Russian Ships flowing through. Though due to recent tensions between Russia and Marmara over the Ukrainian War, only ship’s specifically shown to be sending equipment to Austria will be allowed to pass.

Meanwhile the president of Marmara sends a message to the German government telling them to call off this mad invasion.

The Ruvingalic Government is placed in a difficult position due to recent events in Austria and Germany. On one hand, the Ruvingalics could support Austria against a nation that it (Karthor) dislikes. On the other hand, the Ruvingalic Government knows that Russia is supporting Austria, and Karthor also significantly dislikes Russia.

The Ruvingalic Government also borders Germany via Karthor's core territory, "Poland". So this is also considered in its inevitable decision making. The Corporations in the West have been ordered to continue trading with Germany and Austria regardless of the war.

The Premier of Karthor, Sathon, has assembled the Board of Deputies to discuss the war. The decision on who Karthor will support will come within a short amount of time. But for now, the Technocrat-Corporate State is neutral. Premier Sathon reportedly advised the President of Karthor to make a short statement. The President stated that despite their position, the nation is not interested in a direct war with any side.

A spokesmen of the German government answer by stating "Nobody in Germany is planning any invasion of Austria and the troops have been moed to the border for a military drill as answer to previous Austrian agression"

A border skirmish has apeared on the Austrian-German border 4 dead and 9 wounded on both sides. The Austrian government is quick to blame German forces for starting it while releasing video footage of the skirmish, Germany answers by calling the video a deepfake and out of context.

Deplomacy has failed and during the night of the 24th feburary 2023 Germany announced a special military operation within Austria.

As the German monarch devivered his speecj on live TV German forces launched mass strikes of ballistic missiles against Austria and a massive arial bombardment campaign right after. A t the same time 140.000 German troops crossed into Austria and a Air mobility battalion took of into the direction of Viena.

The German forces where meet by heavy Austrian resistance as their forces where already waiting within the mountaisn and their aiviation begun to fly rapid interception missions from their bunker protected underground airfields. The main push of the German army to the Austrian capital was halted after MANPADs already shoot down big portions of the air mobility units having the rest being overun by troops on the ground in Viena.

The German army faced heavy casualties with 2.100 troops and 70 helicopters lost on the first day while taking less then 4km2 against the Austrian losses of 1.200 mainly due to artillery and missile strikes.
