Nations cannot be damaged or destroyed by foreign powers. You develop your nation the way you want, without being forced to take care of the military, or the economy, or anything else you don't especially prioritize.

The war has ended. The island has been expanded upon by terraforming so that every nation can get a slice of it. The war contained Wacka having unknown technological capabilities by spontaneously spawning in thousands of nukes, Senscaria, despite being held back due to school wifi, releasing the maw to devour entire universes as a response, the Imperial Pact getting nuked, as well as planet crackers getting dispatched and splitting the original homeworld in two, with Senscarian forces under the command of Sovereign for a time as well as millions of atomic weapons and bombs from both sides of the conflict being launched. Senscaria retains its original colonial holdings, with the southern part getting an exact copy of the landmass of Mexico getting stapled onto it, with the South East being expanded by Senscarian workforces to build more land for everyone. Utquiagvik having the northern part but a decent size peninsula for the local wildlife. Mongolia has a native puppet state to the west. The native ocean life has been stolen by the Grand Duchy of Laffey as part of the scramble for his aquarium.
