Meji considered the events as they have recently transpired and sighed. With the leaders of both sides of the conflict gone, they were pretty much back to square one with neither side willing to negotiate nor come to a compromise. Normally, a setback like this would not be an issue, but with the Band's presence in this region vastly reduced it was not a welcome development.

After thinking about it some more she concluded that the best course of action would be to see who the Spacers elect as their next leader and see what their plans were - assuming that the Spacer Independence Movement would not simply collapse from infighting over who should be the next leader or splinter into multiple factions. With the decision made, she directed her fleet to a Spacer city that one of her scouts had previously visited which seemed amiable to the Kami.

Since Radt Cretz's capture, moral for the SIM had been at an all-time low, with many cities surrendering themselves to the blockade. However, a new figure recently appeared in one of the leading cities. This new leader, named Wor'pe Yulan, has came to power as the leader of SIM. Yulan has agreed to begin negotiations on Ring 34, where she is based. However, the negotiations would only begin once the new Supreme Councilor is elected.

(OOC: I'll put up an election thread.)

In other news, Radt Cretz's trial would begin today, and so most of the Coalition was watching when they weren't voting.

In Radt Cretz's cell, he paced around in the water, thinking that his journey was over. After his inevitable conviction, he would most likely be put to death or exiled to a lonely planet in Olympia.

He heard a thump behind him as someone entered his cell. However, he knew that it wasn't the guard because the guard was very chatty. No, this was someone else.

Rsdt Cretz turned. "And who are you?"

The figure behind him smiled. "You can call me... Master."

Cue Master of Puppets by Metallica.

When the guards came to retrieve Radt Cretz from his cell, they find nothing. In fact, all sorts of scanners find nothing in his cell.

"It is very strange. There are no magnetic anomalies, no gravitational anomalies, not even quantum anomalies. We do not know how he escaped, but rest assured: We will find him!"

The head investigator of the situation was, of course, very confused. As was quite literally everyone.

Except for the Master.

Far away in an isolated location, Radt Cretz and the Master talked.
"So, I've heard that you've practically destroyed the universe. Impressive, for a mortal."
The Master wasn't visible. Never was. To Radt Cretz, it would seem a disembodied voice was speaking to him.
"Ah, yes. I simply removed the safety features on the device in the Dark Matter cloud."

"Do you realize what the object truly was? It was a superweapon left by one of the Old Ones in the previous Great Fabric. And do you know who put the safety features on it? One of us. A god."
Radt Cretz was shocked.
"Oh yes. That makes you dangerous. Very dangerous indeed. Being able to "simply" destroy an object built by the Old Ones by "simply" removing containment procedures put in place by a god is no small feat. Which is why I've come to recruit you."
"Recruit me... for what"
"To destroy the universe, of course. Though, much more efficiently than dark matter ignition."

73320th Realignment Squadron, Now
A fortnight had passed since Tactical Lieutenant Cornwall had gathered preliminary surveys of what was now known as the Qulon system, designated by some foreign star nation. Line transmissions had updated the Aligned Stars. Already, a larger detachment had been deployed, under Commodore Vinzenz Winters IV, commanding ASE Lucania and three spanking new Ahlen-class missile frigates, and a drone complement that would about double the strength of the 73320th Realignment Squadron.

Dispatching the experimental missile frigates ASE Ahlen, Regensburg, and White Mountain was a questionable choice - at most, send one to spook the Qulon forces if they were expecting well-known Aligned workhorses. But all three? Without a shakedown patrol? Avalon had had questions, but he was too far from the home systems to waste communication on speculation into the political processes of the Empire.

At a leisurely pace, Sardinia cruised towards what apoeared to be a planet within the system’s habitable zone. So far, they had only been able to communicate with civilian craft - they decided to move slowly to appear less threatening to any defense forces and in anticipation of Commodore Winters. Celestial Discipline lagged behind as a relay point near the edge of the system, and harvesting ice.

I-Lhas Campaign, Two Years Prior
The Empire has sent a ship!
Our enemies still have half the generation hostage. We can't…
It's not a flakkin’ ship. It's an
Archangel, a world-killer!
What the flak!?

Du Roi remained silent as the loyalists recoiled at news of the warship's arrival as if it were Death itself. He knew that they had been losing for a long time now - their fates would be tragic, but at least they’d be undefeated.
We’re already dead, he began, Let us ensure the traitors die with us. I'm going to destroy their anti-naval emplacements - I will serve the Stars with my dying breath…
My intro to NS began with an obscure flash game referenced in an ex-nation's Dispatch.

By now the Dark matter fires had died down, simply too hard to sustain themselves, being cut off, packed into small Eternal fragments, so that was no longer a problem, but that well, also was the problem. They had 15 Voidmaker-like machines now after packing all the burning dark matter into eternal fragments. Which was, unfortunate, attempting to dispose of these would cause well, a major problem. But where the hell to store them?

Meji's flagship exited warp in the vicinity of Ring 34 and hailed the station. "What's the situation within the Spacer Independence Movement now that Radt Cretz has been arrested?"
