Here, there was an abundance of dark matter forming a sort of ring around the Milky Way.
The single Halcyon cruiser also follows RIng Nine to its destination, carrying stolen EWD weapons.
Before the second particle has even hit, the ships are already traveling to the spacer insurgents. A few minutes into the chase, the standard X-ray transmissions shut off, but luckily both stream and gamma transmissions keep coming through. Luckily, because the insurgents had decided to leave the milky way, it was fairly easy to pinpoint them because they were away from other possible sources of interference. Once the insurgent ships slowed down, and eventually stopped in a patch of space, a speed limitation perimeter was created around them quickly and subtly, so fast that they couldn't react. Now, even with warp drives, their maximum speed was about 50,000 MPS, an insane debuff. Once this trap had been laid, the ships encircled them in the stream, and then went back into the regular plane of existence (Keep in mind, these so-called speed nets don't work on Yokronian stream engines, as they were specifically designed that way). They begin to open fire with everything, with no hesitation. Nanites, Trackers, Kinetics, Lasers, Nuclear, Anti-Matter, and Particle Clouds.

RIng Nine and its fleet begin firing back at the Yokron ships. Luckily, for the past few years, Ring Nine had been extensively upgraded and armored due to the intense situations the Coalition was involved with, so it could tank the shots for a long time.
Shortly after the battle begins, RIng Nine sends the nanovirus to the Yokron Ships while activating the machine in the nearby dark matter. Then, the ship which stole the EWD weapons arrives near the battle and releases the small sphere.
(OOC: Yokron, what are your ships powered by?)

Thanks to the SRNERP on the ships, they were mostly unaffected, though they did have to rotate around every couple of minutes to let the shields fix themselves. The minute the virus was sent over, it hit a complete overkill mass of precautionary measures, firewalls, and virus destruction techniques. Every time it broke through one wall, it would get inadvertently redirected to a different section, all the while being attacked by defense systems. It took lots of computing power and even required a few guns and other minor systems to be turned off, but it was eventually contained and then destroyed. Unfortunately, the fleet wasn't exactly unscathed: a few ships had gone down, their crews dead from depressurization. However, this was all worth it, because of two things:
1. The ships could now focus solely on the enemy's destruction, and it would come quickly and powerfully
2. That tiny window that the spacers had used to connect to the Yokronian ships was all the virus used by Yokron needed to enter the spacer fleet. After seeing the brutal effectiveness of viruses on modern fleets, the fleet had decided to have their own made by NOVA, just in case. The second it was into a ship, it used communication links to begin spreading all throughout the insurgent fleet, quickly moving in and then hiding to remain undetected. It wouldn't be used, nor detected, unless the enemy somehow, against all the odds, managed to break away and escape, or if this so-called super-weapon, the droplet, started causing too many casualties

(OOC: Droplets are made of SIM, therefore practically indestructible. They are powered via matter-antimatter annihilation to speed into ships' munitions, reactors, or other important areas."
IC: the small sphere released by the Halcyon cruiser begins firing a special type of neutrino, positively charged (I know, complete bullshit but hey, its been around forever.) at the Yokron ships. These neutrinos would pass through all shields and impact any magnetic fields within the ships, instantly shutting them off. This would be disastrous if said ships contain antimatter, fusion generators, or atomizers. This was the same system used by the Chalinans to absolutely decimate Coalition ships at the battle of Chalinus, the first battle of the Chalinan War.
The Ring Nine fleet detects a foreign virus in their systems. Quantum AIs in said ships would split off the strongest part of themselves in order to combat the virus, all the while installing heavy firewalls and such.
OOC: NM, RIng Nine already jumped away, your going to have to reattach to them again.
