Thuanthong Charoenkul approached the Entrance with an aura of confidence. After stepping through the automated doors into the Pit, he takes off his jacket- which bore the Thai flag-, revealing his toned physique. The women spectators in the crowd let out a big cheer once he did so, to which he responded by blowing a kiss in their general direction.

"Sàwàtdee my rivals! Surely I am not too late to this grand tournament, right?"

Thuanthong did not get that much of a response, since most of the participants were already fighting for their lives against ants and the rising lava. "C̄hibh̄āy!" he cursed as he realised the rising danger from below and swiftly made his way towards the steps to ascend to the top of the maze.

From behind a barrier, two tanks come into Thuanthong's view; they do not see him, but he certainly sees them.

One of the motorcycle troopers chasing Karl pulls out a radio (If he kills all four of them command will still have a close-to-up-to-date idea of where he is).

The lava closes in on the competitors as they scramble to the top of the maze. At that point, all of the GiAnts in the maze go limp as their queen is submerged in lava.

However, the lava keeps rising toward the top of the maze walls, wooden structures catching fire under the heat.

At the Exarkyon camp, a tidal wave of lava rounds the corner and moves toward the soldiers. However, the lava at this point has cooled enough as to be slowed down. Nevertheless, it will still cover them in a few minutes.

Gikol'haesch hears the tank and the riders approaching. He levels his rifle, and shoots one of the riders off of his bike, but runs when the tank approaches. He knows he cannot face a tank, but if he could let the lava take it...

Karl von Larenz, decides to be a literal agent of chaos he is, leaves plywood ramps for tanks to climb up the stairs.

[Exarkyon]

The lava closes in on the competitors as they scramble to the top of the maze. At that point, all of the GiAnts in the maze go limp as their queen is submerged in lava.

However, the lava keeps rising toward the top of the maze walls, wooden structures catching fire under the heat.

At the Exarkrion camp, a tidal wave of lava rounds the corner and moves toward the soldiers. However, the lava at this point has cooled enough as to be slowed down. Nevertheless, it will still cover them in a few minutes.

The Exarkrion forces move in an orderly manner up the nearest staircase. Relocating some plywood boards that were used to make bridges above the maze, some soldiers construct a ramp and the tanks begin going up. Seeing that, even with the reduced speed, there would not be enough time to get all of them, one tank is sacrificed for use as a floodwall to buy time for the others. Unfortunately, the tank with a damaged engine was not repaired fast enough and also had to be left behind in the maze where it was disabled.

The Exarkyamed now have 18 tanks remaining. The several hundred surviving riders and the infantry had no trouble getting up. The logistics vehicles had to be left to burn but the supplies within were already moved to the top of the maze previously.

All forces that were pursuing individuals abandon their chases and rejoin the main formation. Atop the maze wall, all 18 tanks are put more or less together and a defensive perimeter is set up. For now, there are no patrols.

Karl von Larenz acquires a supply drop from an *ahem* "non-aligned" aircraft totally not belonging to the RSRM has dropped a nuclear powered semi-truck full with a shipping container home. and some ammunition, and some food and two paratroopers (only two, both have driver's liscences obviously). (this was done after the RSRM realized they fucked up and deadass dropped their leader into an active war zone without any supplies except 30 rounds of ammunition)

I consider the events of the Pit to be separate from the main canon of events. The soldiers of Exarkyon here are not following regular morals or alliances, and they have no connection to high command. If you want to keep the canons together, these soldiers are rogue.

Two infantryman shoot the drone (in the camera if it has one). The riders close in on the truck. They all begin by firing their carbines at the vehicle as they rush forward. The two with anti-tank weapons prepare to fire.

"Well, this has gone very well. Well indeed!" remarked Karl, mounting his Telefrag knife on his Hk416. and heads to the top deck of the 2nd floor, He sees the two riders closing in, raises the eotech 553 holo-sight in front of his eyes, and takes a single shot in semi-automatic firing position, capping the closest rider. The second rider was then also surprised with a Free 5.56mm entry wound through the forehead as well and a bonus not-so clean 6mm exit wound to top it off with a kind handwritten letter home to his family! Now you can see Karl is a very generous person, like MrBeast. one of the MANPAT systems misfires at it rolls over on the floor, acting as a flare and marking this position. Karl gets into the driving compartment and drives off.

The two riders with anti-tank weapons are both downed before they are able to fire, but the other four (recall that there were six total sent after Karl) remaining riders are still there. They fire a hail of suppressive fire with their carbines and pull up alongside the truck. Two riders pull up alongside the truck's sides and attempt to get grenades inside through hatches and windows. One keeps watch on the truck to make sure Karl does not peek, poised to shoot him if he appears in any window, and the final one proceeds to start shooting out the truck's tires.

They respond:

"Patrol-6, command, acknowledged. We'll get that truck, Deo volente. Patrol-6, out."

Two more riders show up at the retreat point. They prepare the MPATS to fire there. Three riders ride in as a distraction while the fourth takes the MPATS on foot to blow up the truck from the side.

(OOC: Please do not roleplay the actions of the riders.)

Seeing that there is no imminent threat coming for him at the top of the maze, Thuanthong chooses to focus inwards and do a swift mini-meditation session that would temporarily benefit his stamina and perception. As he does this, he is able to filter out the deafening cheers of the spectating audience and hears the frantic and panicked voice of a desperate man pleading for his life over a megaphone in the distance. And although they were not at the place where the plea with megaphone was made, Tuanthong is able to follow them by heading into the direction of the flare and the noises from the vehicles and gunfire. Along the way he picks up one of the dead rider's carbines, and takes the poor fellow's motorcycle too.

He would continue to shadow Karl and the Exarkyon soldiers from afar; biding his time, not revealing himself yet, and only striking when the circumstances were right.
