Sublime Porte Tightens control over Egypt

Seeing how the European powers are surrounding the Ottoman realms in Africa, the Sultan Abdul-Hamid II called for a cabinet's meeting to discuss the fate of Egypt. De jure, Egypt is part of the Ottoman Empire; however, Istanbul's control over the Khedivate has been diminishing. Bceause the Empire was facing economic problems, it did not have enough resources to take the situation under control. But with the new reforms, economic and military help from the Austrian Empire, there is still hope. Having successfully integrated the Austrian experts and advisors into the Ottoman politics as well as Austria-inspired reforms into the militarya nd economy, the Sublime Porte has finally made a move to tighten control over the autonomous vassal of Egypt.
While the main chunk of the Egyptian army is in Tunisia fighting the Italians, the Ottoman Empire sends its reformed Army Corps to Cairo and other regions of major importance in Egypt. Not wanting to incite protests with the presence of the Ottoman troops, the official reason for the troop deployment was to protect the lands of the Egyptian Khedivate from the European imperialists. After arriving to Egypt, the troops loyal to the Sultan started patrolling the streets of Egypt as well as took control of facilities of strategic importance within Egypt thus, gaining control over Egypt's resources.

Along with the Ottoman troops, various military commanders and advisors have also arrived to Egypt from Istanbul to rule the Khedivate. These developments are part of the Ottoman efforts to centralize the country.

With this act 30 million pounds shall be allocated to the Royal Navy for the next ten years, with this increased funding the construction of four new battleships, forty-eight new cruisers, nineteen new torpedo boats, and nine new gunboats shall commence within this time. Taking notice of the increased Ottoman control over Egypt Parliament has authorised the formation of thirteen new regiments throughout Her Majesty's colonials in Africa. While the Ottomans and the Empire are on neutral terms Egypt may be a source of conflict between the two empire's.
As a sign of goodwill the Admiralty has invited Ottoman ship designers to tour the major shipbuilding facilities throughout Britain and study the various designs.
Her Majesty's government hopes that the Ottoman government takes the offer and doing so will strengthen both nations relations with each other in these hectic times.

With developments in Joseon going well the Royal Navy officers along with a few officers from the Royal Artillery Regiment have arrived with the goal of helping establish coastal artillery fortifications at various chokepoints, important naval locations, and the many various islands under Joseon control scattered throughout the Sea of Japan. As such a new military offer was presented with the sale of 21 RML 8-inch guns, 17 68-pounder guns, 18 RML 64-pounder guns, and 7 100-ton guns. With this offer also come the choice to produce a majority of them locally at Joseon factories with British assistance.
Parliament hopes that the King of Joseon will accept the offer and help tighten the bond between Britain and Joseon.

The king of Joseon gratefully accepted the British proposal. Joseon would trade British-proposed cannons for gold mined at the Unsan mine and agreed to produce additional cannons at its factories. If the cannons are produced at the factory in Joseon, Joseon will pay royalties to Britain. Also, Joseon is willing to sign another agreement that Britain wants.

Conducting training for conscripted citizens

Military training was conducted on 300,000 of the 700,000 people eligible for conscription. The 300,000 people will undergo two months of military training, and 200,000 will return to their jobs after training, and in case of emergency, they will be recruited as active service personnel. The other 100,000 will serve as soldiers for two years.

The Joseon government plans to gradually increase the number of soldiers conscripted as soon as there is financial room and new weapons are available.

Finally the time had come, after making preparations for a good week and being joined by the 4th and 5th Divisions the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th Divisions falling under the command of the 1st Army Corps begin crossing into the so called Boer "colony" with their current goal being Bloemfontein capital of the Orange Free State. With the liberation underway the Foreign Officer has also sent a letter to the Russian Empire offering to transport how many Russian troops they're willing to spare for the conflict seeing as how both nations are in as Parliament has called it the "liberation of the Boers from colonial rule". Count Pyotr Aleksandrovich Valuyev and delegation of Russian diplomats arrived via the Imperial Russian Navy's newest pre-dreadnought battleship, the IRS Potemkin at the Washington Naval Shipyard. While enroute to America, he was told that the Germans had dealt with the Ethiopian problem which made him happy yet sad because while he was happy no Russian soldier had lost his life yet he was saddened at the the lost of Russian civilians who were so brutally raped and slaughtered. Pyotr and his five companions got into a carriage and off towards the White House to meet President Chester Authur. Some time later, the carriage arrived at the White House where the 6 Russians waited for their meeting with the American president.

The 3 Divisions of Infantry along with 2 Regiments of Calvary arrived at Britain's southernmost African colony with the assistance of British troopships to help British troops kick the Dutch out of South Africa. Leading the expedition was famed General Count Dmitry Alekseyevich Milyutin who was tasked with pushing all Dutch troops out of South Africa. Dmitry knew this could easily be a tough campaign though he doubt it with the Dutch going up against well trained British and Russian troops.

The 1st Army Corp of the Imperial Russian Army arrived in Southeast Asia by landing on the island of Sulawesi while being supported by warships of the Imperial Russian Navy and the British Royal Navy. Any Dutch citizen were to be captured alive unless they openly attack Russian troops.

Ottoman Ship Designers visit Britain

The Sublime Porte accepted Her Majesty's offer and sent its ship designers to visit Britain and learn from the British ship-building industry. Under Sultan Abdul-Hamid's rule, the Ottoman Empire started various modernization efforts, especially aimed at its naval sector. Although the Ottoman navy had approximately 200 warship and battleships, in the last decades, the Ottoman navy was not in the best condition due to the financial issues which were persisting in the Ottoman economy in the last decades. But with the new administration and investments, there have been more efforts to improve the navy's condition. The Ottoman ship builders and designers will be touring the British shipyard facilities in hopes to learn from the mightiest naval power of the world and bring the knowledge back to the homeland.

After the fall of the Athens, the Ottoman troops had easier time advancing deeper into Peloponnesus to meet with the other part of the Ottoman Army and the Austrians. There are still minor skirmishes in the Morean mountains between the advancing Ottomans and the Greek rebels. Because of the mountaneous terrain, the Ottoman troops are advancing slower. However, any rebel activity is suppressed with artillery.

Meanwhile, the Ottoman warships are softening up the Greek enemy positions on the eastern coast of Morea.

Isolated, tired, and starving - the Greek resistance was getting weaker day by day. The Ottoman-Egyptian troops have reached Chania and Heraklion, the two main cities of Crete. Fierce battles for the two cities are happening as the world watches

After a long trip down the coast and into the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean I have arrived in Venezuela. I don’t know how much an effect this trip will have. I do know that I’m apprehensive and I’m surrounded by guards.

The following is a transcript of his speech to a crowd in Venezuela:

Hello, citizens of Gran Caracas, men and women of Venezuela,
I am the Lawson Vincent James, you have heard about and who’s writings you have been inspired by. Today I come to Venezuela to see the effects my writings and ideas on this nation. If someone had told me in those dark days of 1863 that my ideology would have taken place anywhere in the world, I would have thought they were crazy. If they had told me Venezuela would be the place where it took place I would have outright dismissed them. Today 21 years after my manifesto was first printed I have come to this nation to understand it, and to give my own opinions.

First, I give my wholehearted support to the people seeking change. However I as a peace loving man do find myself concerned about the violence and death that has taken place. I do concede as much as I wish not to be so my reforms may take violence to implement depending on the nation. Still however I do wish for a peaceful end to the conflict and for the reforms such as civil rights, political freedom, and international cooperation over international domination to be implemented. Second, it is important for my nation’s government and the new government of Venezuela to work together in the future in the common cause of democracy. If you and I wish to see change in this world then nations must cooperate together to bring that change to fruit.

This speech might have been short but I hope that the people here have gained something from it. I sincerely hope and pray that the cause that has swept the nation succeeds and that Venezuela is stronger from it. I do hope that Venezuela will be the genesis for Jamesianism.
