Mood

The match was lit, the nation engulfed in flames, Pansk was in ruins, sporadic gunfire from whatever remained of OCI remnants desperately holding out admits the rubble of a nuclear detonation. The collapse of the Syrvanian Federation was swift and brutal. As the central government lost control, regional leaders jockeyed for power, with some declaring independence outright. The Leersog Free Republic was the first to secede, quickly followed by the Akrovian People's Republic and the Republic of Lavina. The National Reclamation Government of Hetland, meanwhile, claimed to represent a popular uprising against the Syrvanian Occupiers. In the midst of this chaos, a group of monarchists emerged, claiming that a return to a Syrvanian Empire was the only path forward. They quickly gained support in some quarters, while others saw them as a threat to the fragile stability of the region. Adding to the confusion, the National Republic of Esera, long at odds with the Federation, saw an opportunity to expand its territory and invaded with little warning. Now, Syrvania is engulfed in a bitter civil war, with factions fighting for control of land, resources, and power.

With the conflict in what some would call, "Opening moves." Rebel forces have begun "sizing up" their opponents, rather than risking an early and swift defeat, a focus on short and simple "loot" battles. Today the fate of the Federation is decided, shall the tortured Federation arise victorious? Shall the "Monarchists" stand over a shattered nation? Only through action shall this be decided, and only through suffering can action exist.

SOUTH ATLANTIC OCEAN, 203 MILES FROM SYRVANIA

The S.S.S. Konstantin Aneilopastiv. An old ship. Quite old. How old? 1936. Took 11 years to build her. She floats due to little upgrades here and there... She never really started to break down. Some parts are still original. But being a coal steamer... She's not the most environmentally friendly ship, to date... Today she's going quite slow, as she's overburdened with trucks and tanks and many men. She creeps along, with one Hamburg-class destroyer near her, the S.S.S. Asyl. They're both expected to come near Syrvania soon.

The planes are parked in hangars at Gerska Airfield, in southern Tergovymi & Periadzya. They'll be in the air at noon.

The Darkest Hour, Eseran-Lavinan Border

after transporting the 6,000 men of the Necrian Expeditionary Force to Esera and carefully discussing the situation in the country, the Army High Command implemented a Plan: currently Esera was surrounded on all fronts by enemies, to the west by the Syrvanian federation, to the east by the military command of Lavina, allied with the federation, and to the south by the republic of Leersog. The plan was to send the DSN Units to the Leersogian Front to maintain the pressure and launch an assault towards the east with the Assault Brigade, in order to break through the enemy lines and create a war of movement in order to make the Command capitulate, while to the west the Eseran regular army would maintain control of the front. by early morning the Assault Brigade was deployed at the Eseran-Lavinan Border, ready with the plan. around 6 the violent attack on the Lavinan defenses began, which were stunned by the attack and taken by surprise, the border was crossed in several points and the Lavinan troops still loyal to the federation were surrounded and forced to surrender. with the brigade penetrating the border began the invasion of Lavina and its darkest hour.

Lavina, Louis-sur-De Sousa
Where the Dominoes Fall.

When all the chaos happened and the Federation collapsed, a good chunk of Syrvanian Loyalists held out in Lavina. Armed well for a garrison unit, these remaining loyalists began a desperate push East, attempting to break through the Eseran lines. Yet when hostile Lavinan forces began to attack from the west, the small town of Louis-sur-De Sousa became a crucial defense. Entirely outnumbered, the force took heavy losses early-on. However, the Syrvanian forces quickly regrouped and put up a fierce defense, determined to hold onto their territory. The battle lasted for several hours and was marked by intense fighting in the streets and alleyways of the town. The Republic of Lavina had heavily stretched their supplies, but their soldiers fought with great determination and bravery, determined to gain independence from the Syrvanian Federation. When Lavinan forces finally cleared the city, they had exhausted what little supplies they had, forcing them to dig in, granting the remnants of the Syrvanian forces the time they needed to resupply and reequip in the surrounding forests. If the force would die, they'd die fighting.

The first to Fall, Lavina, Sonderbourg

after the breakthrough of the defense lines of the Lavina Military Command, the assault brigade, supported by the 13th Eseran Infantry Brigade and the 10th Eseran Motorized Regiment, were preparing to storm Sonderbourg, a very-important town near the Eseran-Lavinan border, in fact it was connected with many highways to the other cities of the country, once the city was taken it would have been easy to invade the rest of the country. The attack began at about 2 pm, with a heavy artillery bombardment on the Lavinan defenses, which were heavily damaged, the BMPs-3 of the assault brigade launched the assault, followed by the Eseran and Necrian Infantry, the Lavinans loyal to Syrvania Fought courageously and valiantly in a desperate attempt to prevent the conquest of the city. the fighting lasted until 7 pm, with the remnants of the Command troops having surrendered. the conquest of Sonderbourg paved the way for the larger invasion of the country.

Dawning of the Red Star, Eastern Syrvania

Tensions in the East had been brewing in the predominantly Pro-Communist East of Syrvania proper, where the Communist government of antiquity had been popular among local residents. Elected leaders of several separatist cells throughout the East orchestrated not only the declaration of independence of the Syrvanian People's Republic under the leadership of President Slavamir Hilevič, but also organized the largest raid on a former Federation military base since the beginning of the Civil war. Civilians armed with melee weapons stormed the base, overwhelming any Soldiers within the base, and planting the flag of the new Syrvanian People's Republic in place of the old flag of the Syrvanian Federation.

With the news of the base raid becoming publicized to foreign media with accompanied ground footage, President Hilevič had arrived at a separatist occupied television station to state that the Syrvanian People's Republic didn't wish to quarrel among the various illegitimate governments occupying Syrvanian soil and declared neutrality in the Civil War.

Surprisingly, within a day of the declaration of independence of the Syrvanian People's Republic, the Soviet Union had recognized the separatist state as a legitimate independent state.

The Kislongrad Clique emerged in northern Syrvania during the initial stages of the civil war, taking advantage of the limited presence of the Federation in the region. Under the leadership of General Barentsev Yermolayevich, a local warlord, they established their own territory and now occupy a small section of northern Syrvania. Despite their isolated position, Yermolayevich hopes to establish cooperative ties with the Federal government and maintain their survival amidst the ongoing conflict.

The warlord state's military forces are primarily composed of volunteer militiamen and a small group of loyalists to Yermolayevich. In their latest move, Yermolayevich ordered a small-scale raid on a nearby rural village in the Syrvanian Federation, with approximately 150 soldiers. However, during the march, some of the troops grew impatient and disorganized, rushing towards the village and creating chaos. Armed with rifles that they either stole or purchased, they began smashing windows and firing indiscriminately at the village residents. They also engaged in widespread looting before a portion of the troops retreated to the Kislongrad Clique's poorly-defined border, while the rest stayed behind to defend the village against any potential Syrvanian retaliation.

Following the successful raid, General Yermolayevich held a board meeting with his top advisors, sipping coffee as he spoke.

"Another successful skirmish. I think it's time to redraw the map," said General Yermolayevich, his voice filled with confidence as he took a sip of coffee during a board meeting with his top advisors.

"Our army has proven that we can take on the Federation's forces and come out on top," he continued. "We can't risk a full-scale war yet, so this is the best we can do for now."

One of his advisors interjected, "But sir, the Federation won't let us get away with these small-scale raids forever. They'll send in more troops, and we'll be outnumbered."

Yermolayevich leaned back in his chair, considering the point. "We'll have to prepare for that eventuality," he said. "We need to train more soldiers, procure better weapons, and build alliances with neighboring warlords who share our interests. We'll show the Federation that we are a force to be reckoned with."

Another advisor chimed in, "What about the civilian population in the areas we raid? We can't keep attacking our own people like this."

Yermolayevich's face hardened. "They're just collateral damage. Sacrifices we have to make to achieve our goals. They'll learn to fear us, and that's just as important as the territorial gains we make. Our enemies will think twice before challenging us again."

Yermolayevich sat up straight, a glint in his eye. "Soon, boys, soon we'll make our mark in history. And when we do, no one will be able to stop us."

General Kazimir Larmos made his way down the hall towards the Federal Council, the room was chaotic, everyone was sleep deprived, everyone was simply trying to figure the matter out. Kazimir observed it, slightly laughing as he called out, "99 Years ago, my Grandfather lead the charge against the Hettican Home Army, General Endri Larmos, he fought for this republic, and I intend to live up to not only him, but my Father. I have been granted, by the President, and the Vice-President in Exile to establish an emergency government as to allow Government officials such as you all, to evacuate to the Embassy in, ahem, The United Kingdoms of New England and Greater New Brunswick. Until then, I have been granted the authority to maintain the emergency government as I see fit, under the interests of the Federation."

Slowly the staff shuffled their way out towards the outside helicopters. It seemed strange, the building laid nearly entirely empty as Larmos made his walk around, watching security staff remove the paintings off the wall, destined for Boston.

4 Hours Later

"First we must deal with this rogue general, they have harassed our citizens and soldiers for too long. This General Yermolayevich has for too long been allowed to run his little fiefdom, thus, we give him a choice, to turn his guns on the Monarchist threat, or to face the might of the Syrvanian Federation." Larmos suddenly shifted his hand towards the South, pointing at the "Syrvanian Empire." "What you see here is nothing but a fake out, attempting to claim an empire long destroyed." Slowly he again shifted, drawing elegant lines, writing footnotes as he went. "The Eserans are the only true threat. Which if we can bypass their positions, going off the fact they play a very infantry support orientated game, we make breakthroughs in the gaps that their support doesn't cover, and we have our victory. They can not be allowed to gain an inch of Syrvanian soil, no matter where it is from.

Syrvanian-Clique Border

Well armed troops made their way, training being their true weapon, tanks rolled behind, with armored trucks and supply units in the back, waiting for orders to move up. Poised to attack from hastily assembled positions, everyone waited for the order to attack. Yet first in a seemingly confusing move, General Larmos ordered a preemptive halt. If that wasn't confusing enough, he then ordered a transmission be made, demanding that these "Bandits" bend a knee to the Federation, or face total destruction from the Syrvanian 2nd Army Group.

Decreasing elevation, Eastern Syrvania

The civil war in Syrvania has been going on for some time now, with the entire area comprising the former Federation becoming a restricted area for commercial airliners. However Aer Lingus flight 42 had been facing various navigation tech issues the entirety of the morning of February 20th. The flight was set on course to land at Dulles Airport in Washington DC 5 hours after departing from Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris, however the navigation had forced the pilots to divert over the Syrvanian warzone.

On the ground, SNR forces had still faced limited engagements with Federation and rivaling faction forces for the past few days, especially with airstrikes over the Western regions of the SNR. Near the western front, a separatist operated captured Buk 9M38 surface-to-air missile system had spotted the off-course airliner and aimed the system at the passenger jet.

Thinking the battery had spotted a Government or Rival faction reconnaissance aircraft, the battalion commander had given the green light for the aircraft to be shot down. At 7:20 local time, the missile was fired, detonated outside of the aircraft, just above and to the left of the cockpit. The blast and fragments of the missile severely damaged the cockpit and instantly killed three crew members inside. From then, an explosive decompression of the aircraft tore the forward section of the aircraft into pieces, causing the middle and rear sections to tear into three sections and depressurizing the cabin.

The aircraft fell rapidly and continued disintegrating before impacting the ground, exploding.

"This is Pewter 191-1, we're comin' in hot, fast, and low, back hatch wide open, I don't know... what, 400 feet? 380 now. This damn plane is gonna crash..." The truly massive Telerov Te-309 flew like a penguin, and barely stood up in the air, seemingly suspended by wires in the sky. He was dying for a smoke. His mind buzzed for one. No time for that now. The plane leveled out at around 200 feet, the pilot sweating like a Finnish man in the Sahara. The crates flew out the back, and tumbled to the ground before a white parachute flew open. They landed on the ground, loaded with AKMs and jacketed soft point ammunition for those rifles. The Telerov Te-309 gained altitude before it flew off into the blue sky.

General Kazimir Larmos sat with a glass of whiskey, reading on the attack on a civilian airliner. Slowly he grabbed the bottle, pouring himself another shot, taking a moment to think of how he'd react.

"General, are you alright? You've been staring at that wall for... a while." An aide mentioned, dropping off a new bottle of whiskey. "I've made my mind, get me Army Group East, order ahead Fall Liberation, tell him to gather whatever reserves he can manage, tell him to crush them for their attacks on the innocent. Ensure that we crush these Soviet backed failures." Larmos stood up, grabbing his belt before leaving, his aide grabbing whatever he left, setting it aside.

East-Front Warzone East-Syrvania

The 27th Infantry had been veterans of the Leersog war, redeployed to deal with the communist rebels. The troops had been given the authority to handle the situation as they saw fit. Not only was infantry ordered, SU-25Ts circled above, waiting for rebels to make themselves known, and when they saw the opportunity to destroy rebel positions, they took it. Yet AA took a toll, Infantry and armored units began the slow trudge to secure the hostile AA positions, in the attempt to grant Pansk some breathing room. Leading the way was Federal Scouts, well disciplined Uniformed Militia men fighting for the Federation while operating independent of normal organisation. Although at first, any defender would believe the Scouts to be mere skrimishers, behind them stood well armored Special Forces, Standard Infantry, and Armored Units. By the time it became clear to any rebel, they could realize the Federation was out for blood.

Syrvanian-Clique Border

With the seemingly misjudged decision to go to war by the Clique, SU-25Ts begin pounding Clique positions. Infantry and armor make "mop-up" movements as they begin their slow trudge into the warlord. Initial fighting is short and hellish, the Syrvanians using both their numerical and material advantage, bypassing and encircling units, using their armored units to act as a crowbar. Other units begin snaking their way around, going for cities, strategic regions, and depots.

Feliks Tarasov trudged along, clutching his rifle as he returned to his BMP, they had been ordered to cross the border in order to destroy this rebellion. He was one of many, a soldier sent in a state of confusion, why send so many soldiers for so few rebels? He didn't know the reason, but he knew he had his orders to follow, no matter the risk to him.

Pansk

When General Larmos was brought the declaration of war, he laughed it off, deeming that they would face the inevitable consequence of attempting to destroy democracy. Yet even then, he considered the risk of chemical weapons, wondering if his men would be safe. Suddenly he felt as if he had the perfect plan, grabbing his phone to alert Sorokin, and the government staff in Boston. He had his job, and he intended to see it through, even if something went wrong.

Golden fields, Eastern Syrvania

The separatist authorities in Eastern Syrvania had expected that the Federation would try to squash the independence of the People's Republic despite it's claim of neutrality. The SU-25T ground strikes had taken out minor ZU-23 AA positions and a small amount of SAM positions, however had made the critical mistake of not targeting separatist trenches and strongholds across the western front.

The oncoming Syrvanian federal scouts and special forces were met with a hail of gunfire, mortar strikes, and shelling from self-propelled artillery pieces. The Pansk bureaucrats had forgotten the separatist raids on a few critical military bases in the territory of the SNR and hadn't taken into account that the separatists were equipped with much of the same gear and weapons as the Federal forces. In the village of Solneliky, near the border of the People's Republic and the Federation, separatist forces had used the layout of the village to ambush Federal infantry and tanks by allowing Federal troops and armor onto the roads in between the houses and then shooting at the infantry and firing RPG-26 disposable rocket launchers at the enemy armor.

According to the Ministry of Defense of the Syrvanian People's Republic, Federal forces had failed to push the frontline eastward and had suffered severe casualties at the hands of Separatist forces. The factuality of these claims are dubious at best however, no confirmed reports from either side have been published stating whether the front had been pushed or not.

In the aftermath of the surprise offensive, the SNR government reached out to the Soviet government for lethal and passive support. A reply was sent shortly after, agreeing to aid the SNR against federal forces. The precise arrival of the aid however wasn't clear, with the arrival being placed somewhere between a few hours to 2-3 days.

Mood

Mopping the Clique

Tanks roamed roads, firing upon Clique positions with the fury of the T-14's 125 Millimeter guns. Infantry patrol towns, looking for any rebels to capture, kill, or oust from their positions. With massive gains made by the Syrvanian army, the Clique's fate seems set in stone. Many soldiers find themselves without an enemy to engage, given how largely outnumbered the Clique's forces were compared to the size of their claim. Despite this, they seem to be content with the "Less active" front, allowing them to prepare for the true war.

Operation Palehorse

In the attempt to regain the initiative in the war against the Soviet Backed Government, large scale artillery units are brought out, firing upon Communist positions, infantry and armor moving fast to avoid being shelled by Rebel counterfire. Propaganda runs are done over both cities and towns, encouraging civilians to take arms against the Communist Regime, claiming that they'll take whatever independence the people have from the state. Despite heavy blows dealt by AA, many aircraft make it through, setting course to the Federal Commission of Lavina after their successful runs. Syrvanian Reserve units begin setting up counter positions as well, readying themselves should the worst happen.

Plan Kutuzov, Eastern Syrvania

The propaganda dropped on the towns had seen limited success, with a few small Pro-Federation protests popping up in the 3 largest cities of the People's Republic but had been violently squashed by Pro-Separatist counter protesters in favor of the independence of the People's Republic. Any news of the protests were ordered to be censored and journalists reporting on it were to be silenced as ordered by the SNR Interior Ministry.

On the Western Front, SNR scouts had spotted the movements of Federal Reservists and already present forces. Upon reporting back to central command, the People's Republic Militia General Staff had ordered a reinforcement of the Western trenches with reserve artillery and anti-tank pieces, T-64B and T-72M tanks, Anti Aircraft pieces, and chiefly Infantry. This build up however was only a side diversion to a greater attack plan dubbed "Plan Kutuzov". Separatist forces in the South of the People's Republic were mobilized and attacked southward to a major Syrvanian coastal city still in the hands of the Federation forces.

The few MiG-21bis Jet Fighters captured by the Separatist forces were scrambled and conducted ground support operations alongside the southward advancing infantry. The Syrvanian Reserve units stationed in the south had their counter positions overrun by Separatist forces but not without SNR forces suffering the losses of a large amount of infantry, armor, and aircraft. The advance had pushed the coastal city and the greater surrounding region into a pocket, from which the region had the Separatist forces to the North, Syrvanian empire forces to the West, Leersog forces to the East, and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.

What was to come in the next few weeks was a brutal shelling and bombing campaign of the city by SNR forces.

As the large new offensive carried on in the South, rumors of the arrival of 50,000 PMCs in service of the Wagner PMC Cooperative, Soviet Spetsnaz forces, and their attached light armored vehicles had arrived in the People's Republic and were going to be seen on the Western front.

In one of the Federations only ports, 10,000 New English soldiers landed. They were the first wave, the first of 5 10,000 men increments meant to ease the logistical burden. Their goals for the first wave were to soften the immediate area to protect the few kilometers of coast the Federation had, scout for weaknesses in the enemy, and above all defend logistics and the port. Their first goal was to stop the Communist forces in the coastal city.
When they arrived, they found an embattled city. They were ordered to begin creating defensive positions. About a mile from the tentative front, they began digging trenches. The Navy deployed an aircraft carrier about 10 miles off the coast, as well as backup, which they planned to use to assure aerial supremacy and contine logistics in order to organize a retreat should the Port be taken.

KLISLONGRAD CLIQUE TERRITORY

Change in plans. An F4 Phantom II flies over what remains of the clique, and seeing something, BRRRT. Autocannon shreds a broken tank from the Klislongrad Clique. It flies back, and leaves. A few more F4 Phantom IIs spot MiG-21Bis belonging to separatist forces.

An AIM-120 zooms... zooms. KABOOM! One MiG-21Bis down. "Splash bandit, mothafucka'! Eat shit!" Another MiG-21Bis comes over, and missile locks the F4 Phantom II. The pilot watches the missile come, and deploys flares. They both turn towards each other, and... "Fox four!" BRRT. The other F4F Phantom II shreds the other MiG-21Bis, and it flumps into the ground, crashing in a spectacular fireball. "Splash bandit, fucker."

The S.S.S. Konstantin Aneilopastiv now comes into view... It's white, and clean. M2 Browning and DShK HMGs line the deck, pointed at the beach. The ship comes in, and inflatable slides are now rolled down onto the tide. The ship towers over the shore, as the sun beams down. Entire platoons are on the slides as they go onto the beach. Cranes offload vehicles, that are being loaded with everything the soldiers need for a sufficient push out of the Syrvanian Federation. They had to move quick, as other forces were supposedly coming in soon. Soldiers laughed and chuckled and discussed news of their home country. "Ey! Anatoly! Did you hear we're joining the KP?" One asked. "Ivan, that means we may have to fight with those stupid femboys or whoever they are. It's sick! They all look like women!" They both laughed. "Anatoly, it just means that it's easier to hit on them!" Nobody dares laugh. Someone who overhears this stifles back their laughter, and the rest of the soldiers turn to look who it is. "Sorry, kids, couldn't BELIEVE any of you would say such a thing about them damn Møstards! They're just the devil baiting you young men in!" A Sergeant Major says, chuckling. Everyone just kind of looks at him, and then moves on to whatever they might be doing, including moving and setting up 2B9 "Vasilek" gunmortars to be towed by trucks. They had to move quickly, and so they did.

Screaming steel, Southeastern Syrvania

Separatist forces which had launched an offensive southward sat just a few kilometers outside the large Federation held port city. The separatist forces on the ground were completely unaware of the arrival of New England and soon Soveiniesberg forces in the area of the pocket, but what was to come soon wouldn't have made a difference. Captured Federation self-propelled artillery, Soviet-made artillery pieces, and homemade mortar pieces which were brought to the Southern Front behind the advancing Separatist regulars were now being loaded with munitions to rain hell on the port city. The crews waited for the order to come from the field command center which had been placed in one of the captured villages a few kilometers north of the artillery and mortar positions.

Some time had passed before the green light for shelling had been issued, but no time was wasted in letting hundreds of shells rain on the surrounded port town. Explosions rang out from the urban center, with dark plumes of smoke rising high into the sky above the city. The third phase of Plan Kutuzov had been officially initiated.

Skies above Syrvania

The separatist MiG-21bis that were shot down by the unidentified F4 Phantom II weren't alone. A Sukhoi Su-47 Berkut in separatist livery zooms towards the squadron of F4 Phantoms from under the cloud cover firing it's 30mm autocannon into the fuselage of one of the F4 Phantoms; causing the fuel to ignite in the jet which set off an explosion, before retreating back under the cloud cover below. A squadron of MiG-21bis fighters had followed behind, engaging the F4 Phantoms with auto cannons and Vympel K-13 Air to Air missiles.

Operation Kickback

Redeployed Syrvanian Elite Naval Infantry are sent to combat Soviet advances, the force is heavily armed with AT-Units, AA support, and light armored units. SU-57 Mutliroles are deployed to clear out Soviet aircraft. A large scale armored, infantry, and artillery start shelling Soviet forces encircling the city while Naval units begin a mass shelling campaign against Soviet forces and any attempts to land by Soviet forces. TU-160s and TU-22 bombers begin bombing rebel artillery positions into nothing, granting allied artillery a chance to fire heavily upon battered Rebel positions. While they stall the Soviets, a large scale breakout is attempted by Syrvanian Spetznaz, VDV, Standard Infantry, and Armored units, all supported by heavy artillery barrages, bombing runs, and close air support.

While the main focus of Kickback was to push Soviet forces back, it was also to grant time for Syrvanian forces to capture Imperial ports, making a Blitzkrieg to secure as many as possible, the large scale offensive breaking the front of the Syrvanian Empire, granting the Syrvanian Federation control of a large chunk of the Imperial coast.

Another 20,000 men had arrived from New England during the battle. They too arrived in the port city, designated Point Theodore Green, and aided in setting up defenses. It was ordered that the carrier begin holding stealth bombers, and so they did. In preparation for a push to get the dirty reds outside of the city, the next round of troops to arrive was loaded with artillery, tanks, mortars, and drones.
It was not long before the next round came to support the men. With an intial force of 12,000 men, as well as mortars, shells, and rockets numbering in the low thousands, they push from their trenches to retake the port city. Bombers and fighters fly just ahead of their advance to provide them ground support, which include using air-to-ground missiles and bombing known artillery points. It is not believed casualties will be high, given they are fighting the insurgent militia with modern, state-of-the-art equipment.

The separatists, who had been gaining momentum for some time, were eventually able to establish control over the capital building and raise the communist flag over its roof.

Despite their victory, however, the future of the Kislongrad Commune remained uncertain. The country was in disarray, with the military Junta continuing to resist the separatists at every turn. Many feared that the new government would be short-lived, as the country struggled to come to terms with its new reality.

In the end, the provisional government decided to vote in favor of joining the Federation, a move that would have profound implications for the country and its people. In exchange for their allegiance, the Kislongrad Commune surrendered what little land they had left to the Syrvanian Federation, marking the end of a tumultuous chapter in the country's history.

SIC:

In a shocking turn of events, the house of General Barentsev Yermolayevich, a prominent figure in the Kislongrad Clique, was raided by communist militiamen. Upon entering the house, the militiamen discovered the lifeless body of Yermolayevich, with blood all over his chest. He was found holding a knife in one hand and a glass in the other, suggesting that he may have taken his own life. The militiamen proceeded to search the house and found an open bottle of cyanide pills, further indicating that his death may have been a suicide.

The body of Yermolayevich was subsequently taken to the morgue, where it was determined that he had indeed died of cyanide poisoning. The shocking discovery sent shockwaves throughout the Kislongrad Clique, signaling the end of their short lifespan. However, the vacuum left by the former leader's death was quickly filled by Major Malykhin Boleslaw Borisovich, who took on the position of dictator of the Clique.

Malykhin Boleslaw Borisovich, with his revolutionary views, was a stark contrast to Yermolayevich's leadership. He was a proponent of syndicalism and believed in the establishment of a Kislongrad Commune, but with a different approach. He proclaimed a government in-exile, which he named the Kislongrad United Syndicalist Republic.

In an effort to evade capture and execution, Malykhin Boleslaw Borisovich and his accomplices fled to Janpia, a country that they hoped would provide them with safe haven. However, the specter of the Kislongrad Clique continued to loom large, as many wondered what would become of the movement in the aftermath of Yermolayevich's death and Malykhin Boleslaw Borisovich's rise to power.

Coastal Winds, Southeastern Syrvania

The separatist forces north of the port city had been battered and weakened by the Federal attack, but the large scale breakout attempt by Federal forces had provided Separatist and Wagner PMC forces with an ample opportunity. The Separatist front was elastic enough to allow the Federal breakout force to advance somewhat into formerly Separatist occupied territory through a strategic retreat. By the time Federal forces had reclaimed a small village northwest of the pocket, Separatist forces advanced back into a section of land behind the advancing Syrvanian forces, encasing them in a smaller and more compact pocket. Within an hour of the formation of the new micro-pocket, the breakout force was met with heavy bombardment and an enclosing Separatist force sieging the village the breakout force was forced to defend.

With the breakout force now encircled in the northwest and more Syrvanian forces attacking westward in an attempt to secure any ports possible, Wagner PMC and Separatist forces entered the Northwestern, Northern, and Northeastern suburbs of the port city. Reports from the frontline forces in the south had suggested that Non-Syrvanian forces were present in the city and had engaged friendlies.

Separatist forces had set up Anti-tank and Sniper positions in the surrounding apartment complexes, hoping to keep the unidentified Tanks and Infantry at bay. As the hours went by, Separatist snipers had been picking off the enemy infantry surprisingly with modernized M1898 Mosin-Nagant and SVD rifles. No estimate was ever made by the frontline separatists to how many of these soldiers with modern equipment they were facing, but what was clear was that their tanks had proven to be a slight issue to friendly forces. MiG-21bis ground attacks and ground Anti-Tank positions had been demobilizing and in some cases even destroying these modern tanks but with great difficulty that the Separatist forces weren't fully equipped to deal with.

More and more separatist forces seemingly flooded into the city warzone, taking city block by city block and moving further towards the city center.

The arrival, Eastern Syrvania

A Soviet Antonov AN-225 touched down at the Kogadovo airport in the capital of the unrecognized Syrvanian People's Republic at the dead of night, the tires from the large plane screeching on the tarmac as the beastly aircraft came to a halt. As it completed it's parking on the tarmac, it's cargo bay opened, with 4 T-90A tanks and 20 Soviet armed forces personnel filing out of the aircraft. The Soviet troops were equipped with the newest military tech and gear the Soviet armed forces had to offer, with the new Ruslan future infantry combat system. The BTK Cooperative boasted that the new system was on par with contemporary NATO gear and protected the soldier from 5.56x45, 5.45x39, and 7.62x54mm rounds according to trials prior to it's planned release to the wider Soviet Armed Forces however some observers had contested this claim. Within hours of the first AN-225 landing at the airport, more and more of the large aircraft landed, delivering a larger contingency of unmarked Soviet Spetsnaz and close to 30 T-90A tanks. These troops were designated to arrive on the Western Front within the next few days to prepare for an upcoming assault.

The commanders in the pocket felt true fear. After requesting bombardment, the carrier group hastily deployed strategic bombers and fighters. They dumped hundreds of bombs in specified quadrents. The same happened with artillery, with artillery units resupplied with the landing of the last increment of troops unloading thousands of shells.
Additionally, troops were dedicated to reaching the pocket. Having learned from their mistakes, generals ordered on-the-ground commanders to have a wide area of control, at least 5 miles, before advancing to the next neighborhood. They also left deployments of 200 or so soldiers with equipment in each area.
In the suburbs, the 1st Relations Squad, a team dedicated to PR in foreign areas, rallied the Syrvanians over the radio and airwaves there to form what they call "accompanyment militias." It is assumed that the people in the suburbs, having lived for their whole lives in comfort and with representation, would fight to protect the system that gave that to them. Additionally, 5,000 commandos with training in guerilla and urban warfare with artillery and an ample supply of weapons are put near the front lines of the suburbs to serve as rallying points and command centers for the militias. They have munitions to detonate their stockpiles in the case of capture, in fear they would be captured.

Dark Clouds, Southeastern Syrvania

SNR positions were counter-shelled as much as they had been shelling Syrvanian and New England positions. With the added constant assaults on the SNR strongholds in various apartment complexes and neighborhoods, the numbers of Wagner and Separatist forces had been reduced in the hundreds if not thousands. Reinforcements from the villages and small towns across the People’s Republic came to a trickle as more and more died in the meat grinder. Command ordered a renewed shelling of the city, the strikes constant throughout the day, pummeling the New England positions and essentially obliterating anyone unlucky enough to go outside during the rolling bombardments. The northern and central areas of the city lay in ruins, akin to Stalingrad. Combat was from building to building, with many of the separatist positions holding apartment complexes and other buildings to ambush any advancing enemy forces in the streets. Few of these buildings and destroyed New England tanks waved the Soviet victory flag, taunting the Anti-Communist forces that engaged the SNR.

Separatist groups in the northern suburbs were met with heavy resistance from clearly well trained enemy combatants as they moved further into the city, who had halted the SNR's continued southward advance into the urban center. These commandos were met with the enemy, who were expected to be wearing military surplus and stolen Syrvanian gear, are instead met with insurgents wearing the gear of deceased New England soldiers. The plate carriers, helmets, uniforms, and rifles of the New Englanders had given a place of equal footing with enemy combatants.

In the Northwestern Surburbs of the city, SNR troops who had been stationed in the western most corner of the front had advanced Southward into areas that lacked any New England forces and instead faced off with Syrvanian Federal forces still present in the sector of the suburbs. The separatists continued their advance into the center of the city, with a small force of around 6000 breaking off the Western group and advancing North to link with the forces halted in the north. The report of the commandos hadn't been made yet to the rest of the People's Militia, meaning the forces making the northward advance were unknowingly about to surround New England regulars and commandos.
