OOC: the first few posts of this will be brief and actual casual RP, then after some others get involved I'll write my first planned story scene, hopefully incorporating the rp others post into the scenes. Keep in mind, some things WILL happen regardless of other's input.

IC:

WAR!

Several days following a successful attack in the capital where a majority of parliament was killed, a underground insurgency of dissident factions led by the stray sheep and it's enigmatic leader volentra has launched attacked nationwide attack upon the shepherd government, taking control of large swathes of the coastline and territory. The government has retreated inland to querria's line of mountain fortresses and bunkers.

The military has largely remained loyal and has regrouped in territory still under government control, they now plan offensives with the goal of suppressing the insurgency and taking back the country.

So far, fighting has already broken out in the south. A criminal organization known as the cartel has already launched an assault on a southern government fortress and taken control of it after a bloody assault which left heavy casualties on both sides.

In the capital of Dungay, a loyalist force of remnant military and loyalist partisans and fortified the city's old district and dock, refusing to surrender and making an assault necessary.

The Island of Inessa has completely liberated the island from the shepherd government and declared independence. The Querrian navy has blockaded the island and is bombarding it, with plans to send in marine forces to retake the island.

A large focus is on the northeast, where a majority of the querrian military is gathering against the secessionists of Holdon, which in turn is being backed by the country of givoria whom has already sent in 2/3rds of it's military to assist.

Out westward, the loyalist colony of Moute and the insurgent swad family are at each other's throats and will likely begin fighting.

Both factions are looking for outside support to turn the tide of the war in their favor!

Samuel sat down in the leather chair, holding a mug of tea imported from the southern United States. The fire had just been lit and was slowly gaining strength, Samuel would need to remember to thank Vesryn later. Before he settled in, Samuel stared at the doors leading into the lounge. Any second now, there would be knocking. No point in getting comfortable.

Waiting.

Waiting.

Waiting.

It felt like an eternity that he was looking at the doors. No sound. No movement. He couldn't even hear the light footsteps of the staff outside the lounge.

Sighing, Samuel relaxed into the chair, sinking into the leather. He looked at the nearby phone, a direct line to anyone he wanted to speak to. Maybe he'd finally get a chance to--

No. No he wouldn't. The knocking came. First one set, three distinct raps. Then a second set, another three raps. Two doors leading into the lounge. Samuel looked for a third. Seeing none, he looked across the floor to see if he could spot the trapdoors in the room. No, they had been hidden well from view and he had forgotten their location. Didn't matter either way, he wouldn't have made it to them in time to get out. He had no choice.

"Who is it?" Samuel's voice rang out through the lounge. He swore if one of them brought up the topic of finding a suitress, he'd shoot someone, quite possibly himself.

Enter from the left door Adrian Buzzstrong, the Minister of Celestial Affairs. From the right, came Irene Josiah, one of the secretaries to Prince George. Peculiar, Adrian hadn't personally talked to Samuel since the disbandment of the United Federation of Planets, and Samuel assumed Irene would have been with George given he was at a festival in Reshenga.

"Samuel, we need to talk," Adrian started.

"Your son has asked I inform you about this," Irene followed.

Samuel waited for two beats, steeling himself for whatever was going to be asked this time. His son was notorious for making some ridiculous requests. "Go on, then."

Adrian started off. "We've gotten reports of a civil war brewing--"

"No, we are not getting involved," Samuel interrupted the Minister. He did not want to hear of getting his nation involved in another war.

"But George--I mean the Crown Prince--has asked that we support the government of Querria," Irene finished.

Samuel pressed his fingers to his eyes, letting out a groan. "No. No, no, and no. We are not sending troops to support any faction."

"But--" Both of them started.

"No. Adrian, you deal with space, not the military. Irene, you go and tell George that if he asks again he's grounded."

"But what if--"

"If foreign nations get involved, as I know they will, then I will reconsider. As it stands, we will let Querria fight their own civil war and whoever wins the internal conflict can then handle the rest. We're too stretched at current. If, for whatever reason, foreign militaries start trying to interfere then we may deploy our own troops to act as a barrier and ensure that the conflict remains without external forces. Now, if there's nothing else, please get out."

Both of them stood bewildered. Samuel had never before dismissed them like that, and he sounded pissed. They both bowed their heads and backed out of the lounge doors from whence they came, leaving Samuel back in isolation within the room. All was quiet once more, save for the crackling of the fire.

The uaie sends the Shepard's government offering aid and support in the forms of troops, weapons, artillery and vehicles. Asking what are the needs of the government to push back insertgents.

[Greater Kamilistan]

Office for Affairs in Gisra
9:10 A.M

Talks from the radio can be heard throughout the office, it was just him, Prime Minister Bashkar Nugavaski alongside the Minister for Foreign Affairs Abdullah Salgodov on the other side of the room, sitting in his own desk while doing his daily paperwork. Both of them were doing the average Prime Minister and government ministers would do, paperwork, bunch of reports, bunch of news for them and bunch of papers to sign. It felt like an endless cycle.

....Until a knock came, Bashkar thought this would be another of those "paperwork" again, Salgadov already got used to the knocks and replied with "No one's here, you may enter."

One of the Affairs staff was walking towards Bashkar, holding a bunch of papers and an iPad? Bashkar raised his eyebrow and looked up at his stuff, it must be another paperwork, it must be..nope he was wrong when his affairs stuff shook his head. News about the Northern Insurgency? Wrong. What about the currency's inflation rate decreased, did it increase up again? Nah.

"Sir, I know you're tired of the paperwork, but this is no paperwork." He paused before making a huge sigh. "It's a civil war, but it is a bit complicated...and screw up."

"If its Syria, tell them we're not helpin-"

"It's not Syria, its Querria."

Querria? Heard about the nation a few years ago, not much was known about that nation other then a few info. Bashkar wanted to hear more, Salgadov already got his eyes on the staff.

"The military has been largely loyal, however criminal factions are getting involved in the civil war, and an island declared themselves as independent."

By the words of the staff, he can tell things would end up worst then Kamilistan's 4th Civil War. He snap his finger, already making conclusion in a go.

"We're gonna side with the government...." He looked back at the window. "Send around 2 000 KRG (Kamilistan Revolutionary Guards - Overseas Branch) to Querria, and let me remind you."

"What?"

"Neverminded, tell them we're coming"

"Yes sir" The staff walked out from the office, the Deputy Prime Minister was at some other nation's royal wedding, and his wedding was just in a month later.

By half an hour later, the Revolutionary Islamic Republic of Greater Kamilistan would announce it's backing of the Querria Government with full force on it. At least 2 000 KRG-OBZ troops were sent to Querria, and waiting for the nation's reply.

[Saterun]

For a long time, the Saterun government had monitered the situation in Querria. They were heavily invested in this. They had just splurged on top-of-the-line military equipment from Wolf Armaments, and were ready to put it to use.

For a war this important, there was only one general for the job. Veteran of two major wars, the Romanic Imperium Civil War and the Weddlia Civil War, General Legrainger was ready for his biggest assignment yet. Pretty soon, 15,000 Saterun troops were headed off to Querria to help the government.

Once they got there, the Cielo-class supercarrier would drift out to the ocean, and wait for an emergency evac call. Meanwhile, the troops would try to establish a foothold, ideally between the government and rebel land. But that wasn't for several hours. Right now, General Legrainger needed to rest.

The uaie sends Shepard's government via sea a convoy task force of a carrier, battleship and escort fleet. Including a submarine. And a convoy. The task force asks for permission to land upon the supplies into the country. This aid will include ground troops.

IC: As offers of support pour in from abroad which The shepherd government gladly accepts, the waters of the region remain contested territory. The querrian navy, 3 fleets totalling of some 50 blue water ships (excluding coastal defense vessels) is tasked with ensuring safe passage of the incoming support. 2 of the fleets are split between UAIE and saterun convoys

The Insurgency gains intelligence about the approach vectors of the pro-government convoys , assessing they'd need to pass by Inessa to reach government held territory.

In the middle of night east of Inessa, the UAIE-querrian naval force faces a attack by a large sortie - hundreds of aerial and naval drones, manned fast attack craft, commercial vessels and captured anti-ship missiles.

Though the fleet is large, the UAIE-querrian force is overwhelmed by the large number of opposing vessels and drones. Engines are knocked out first and the fleets becoming sitting ducks for the imsurgent swarm.

By the end of the battle, up to 2/3rd of the fleet is damaged and limping, forced to be scuttled, or outright sunk. The initial death toll is thought over 10,000.

The kamilistan force faces worse, with smaller number the kamilistan force is overwhelmed and entirely sunk. it's unknown how many of the 2000 soldiers and the sailors in the kamilistan fleet survive.

The saterun force by comparison is practically unmolested for a aingle fact; the insurgency out of inessa simply lacked the resources to go after a second naval force of their size.

The inessan insurgency loses most of their assets in the attacks capable of naval warfare, significantly depleting the defenses of the island.

The sea battles are spoken about for days after for how bloody they became. Bodies and debris wash up along coastlines surrounding the battle sites.

The uaie fleet calls in several cags after looseing the carrier and it's escorts. The battleship trys to limp alongside the escorts and it's cargoships that managed to survive. These cags include submarines and much more escort ships. These include many more ships to include ciwis and aa missile systems. The cargo ships and merchant ships have lost several larger ones. The ship after drone strikes try to rescue who they can. These merchant ships and cargo ships include oilers and others. This time the convoy will come though.

This next convoy will flood these new allies with a major resupply. These are offered to the local government with troops to have them lead.

The losses to ships and merchant ships are over 15,000. But the fleet outraged gets ready for a bigger war. The uaie promises much more support as this was just go give a winning hand, but with the attack this causes the uaie to be willing to provide much more and more often too. Air lifts are promised to drop in more supply too.

General Legrainger was releived that Saterun had not yet faced combat. In total, his fleet was not a huge one, consisting of one Cielo-class supercarrier, three Barrakuda FS, and one Haifisch DDG. The majority of the troops traveled on the supercarrier, and the rest were specially assigned navy troops, who would operate the attack ships.

The Saterun plan was simple. Once they were within resaonable range of the insurgency shore, the Ground Attack Plane (GAP) Dragon aircraft would be transfered to the Haifisch. Once the fleet reached shore, the supercarrier would unload all of its contents, including over 14,000 troops, 1875 armored transport vehicles, over 14,000 sub-machine guns, 1000 anti-tank handheld missile launchers, 1000 mortar bombs, twenty mounted machine guns, and two [urlhttps://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=356534]TRS-HE-FRAG[/url] missiles.

OOC: Man Im dead LOL, I got one shot one kill


IC:

Did they make it to the other side? Yes, but the Kamilistani were in hot water, luck was not on their side today as 950 of their troops out of 2 000 were reportedly to be killed in the contested waters of Querria, those who made it however, set up a small and an arrival base for reinforcement, they only had a FEW, literally 30 APCs with them and 2 Light-Tanks with them, the rest? either sank into the ocean or just gone by the attack.

News from those who survived the attack reached to the Admiral's command, another 3 000 troops were sent, this time a bit more prepared, 2 carriers carrying equipment, 3 light-cruisers as defense and another 2 battleships were sent. Meanwhile, the troops, around 6 00 of them were told to move southwards to the borders, they plan to cut of the cartel's smuggling ground, so the troops advance southwards to the borders, the others defended the base, knowing the insurgents could be either focusing on a single point or were thin in defense, they advance further to the southern border of Querria.

One of the troops posted a video, urging that those who were fighting the insurgents to come and reinforce with the Kamilistani as they were low on manpower, and equipment.
