Over 154 aircraft drove into Iceland, escorted by a wall of electronic warfare aircraft. AEW aircraft maintained a distant watch on slaver airbases, while EW aircraft jammed frequency after frequency - the Fenwicks could not be allowed to communicate their deadly orders.

184 cruise missiles had been launched at enemy communications, ranging from radio towers to command nexuses.

254 Aircraft had been sortied, ranging from EW aircraft, bombers, fighters, multiroles and AEW aircraft.

They could panic later, they had a job to do. The silent dish of the radar was visible in the distance as the helicopters hugged the sea, keeping them below the detection range of the radar as they approached. They were early - 30 seconds to the clock.

The silent tick-ticks were all that could be heard as the pilots counted down in their heads. Weapons systems were readied as the helicopters stood, waiting for the order.

4 LRSM missiles disgorged from each helicopter as they barreled for home, depending on the stealth capability and 208 submunitions of each missile to deal with the radars. Below them, AA crews were roused from their sleep, and Icelanders were greeted by the sounds of explosions and jet-engines.

Richard Fenwick says that getting them out by air will be an impossibility due to the volcanic ash (OOC: which is canon unless people want me to point out serious realism issues in their own posts (unlike mine which are realistic including the ones where I nuke volcanoes), but since non-Gamer Iran didn't stab them in the back they're willing to arrange safe passage provided they don't try anything against the Fenwick Brigade.

OOC: Standoff weapons, 55-75km knockoff glide bombs (not JASSM, those are carried on bombers.). Should do the trick, especially if launched from standoff range. I'd be more worried about the planes - the attrition rate will be high, and for a reason. The Ardenian High Command is a little incompetent with a knockoff McNamara in command, so these sorts of things are to be expected.
