This is an OOC thread for "Back, when Sun was god".

Welcome to my newest RP. Since I was making a new nation, I have concluded that I may as well start at the beginning of said nation. This RP is focused on life of Myechyslav I the Brave - the knyaz (prince) who is considered the founder of Redararania. Events in the RP will cover Myechyslav's battles, personal life and transformation from ruthless slavic warlord into a Christian prince, thus founding the state that survived into the modern day.

This RP is Past Tech, set in year 1082 - which means that you have to use period accurate technology.

You can Rp either a ruler of neighbouring state, or member of Myechyslav's druzhina. If you have questions - TG me!

I'll be Rping as the Teutonian Emperor at OP's request and reccomendation.

Okay. So here is what I plan for this RP.

Our universe's investiture controversy happens, and rivalry between the Pope and the Emperor escalates. The Papal diplomacy reaches to Count of Clingen. The Imperial spies intercept the communication.

Angered, the Emperor enters a secret talks with the Redars to attack Clingen.

Myechyslav gathers a fleet and invades. He burns the most important port in Clingen - Eisfeld and escapes before the retribution reaches him.

The count of Clingen is furious and advocates for a punitive expedition, but is ignored by the Emperor. Furious, he becomes the leader of the noble opposition to the Emperor, with the Pope's backing.

All of this is watched by the Khan of TBA who hopes to capitalise on the chaos to loot and pillage.

We need:
- The Pope
- Count of Clingen

I assume this would be after the Marrying-your-frenemy's-sister thing. I think this also leads to beef between the Emperor and the Prince after the Prince's sister has a child with the Emperor and may lead so a Seige of Adriannapol.

After discussions with the user behind Redarania, I will play as the Count of Clingen.
