The Mothership still hovers around the planet however, and is looking for the right time to take back New Volare, and have also sent a heavily worded, very angry message towards the Quasi star civilization to take responsibility and fix this mess, as well as pay heavy reparations for the losses

During their efforts transforming the Rincom Ranges, the Comps are careful to keep the forests as intact as possible, since those are the breeding grounds for various big animals that the Rincurdish occasionally hunt for their food. However, wheat fields and fruit orchards have been popping up here and there. But the mountain town relies mostly upon trading with the neighboring colonies and exporting their exotic minerals to the multiverse (generously transported by the Comps). Thanks to the multitude of guides and literature the Comps has brought, the community is now reaching the 21st-century level of tech without going through the dirty Industrial Revolution phase. Electric and solar-powered vehicles roam the streets, and a nuclear reactor powers the town. The town has a local arms manufacturing company, several family-run bakeries and tailor shops, and the occasional drugstore and convenience stores. In the back of a yard, a couple of teenagers can be seen plinking cans with their BB rifles.

"And the Commonwealth said to our benefactors, "Now the Itzgaris is out, get your behinds outta here" and I think, man, you literally didn't help us even when the Itzgaris are raining plasma and lasers upon the planet." one said, reloading his gun with more pellets. "I can't believe such a large civilizations have a bad diplomacy department!"

The M-101 Outland Alpha-2 “Rincomburg” Management Office, commonly referred to as the Office, is a ten-story building that serves as the headquarters for all Comps operations within Rincomburg and the M-101 embassy for Rincurd. One might think it is peculiar to send diplomats inside a freighter, but knowing most of the Comps' smaller vessels are busy circling the planet’s atmosphere to filter the dust caused by the fall of the Quasi-Interstellar Star Civilization’s space elevator, one couldn’t blame the Comps for such move. The identity of the Comp is trivial, since Comps, put in brief, are a semi-hivemind of artificial bits of intelligence. One machine and one human to balance things up. Following the destruction of the space elevator, a massive wave of ash struck the Nyetoan colony destroying 2 space shuttles and damaging 3 space shuttles. Furthermore the moon base is damaged, and a large mining machine was tipped over, creating a massive explosion and oil spilled out onto the planet and severely damaging the environment. Even worse, an unmanned Nyetoan spaceship with a nuclear core was destroyed in an ash storm, the ash storm spread radiation all over the planet. The radiation was not mitigated by the flow of the storm, as the core exploded with the force of Little Boy and blasted the radioactive ash storm into different pieces, each with different paths.

The bright orange planet of Oshina loomed in the distance, its atmosphere filled with dust and debris from the fallout of a crashed space elevator.

When the fleet arrived in orbit around the planet, it quickly split up and began its mission. Transporters and freighters sent shuttles to the surface, bringing the survey team and their supplies. The scout ships spread out, scanning the planet for any sign of Columbianite deposits. Meanwhile, the battle cruisers remained in orbit, keeping watch on the other ships and civilizations already on the planet.

The few remaining nano-drones left on Oshina have reported back to the Coalition of the carnage that resulted from the collapse of the space elevator. Alarmed by the destruction, a small fleet of relief vessels has been dispatched to the system to help. They are unarmed.


The captain of the lead vessel directs a message to all vessels near Oshina:

While the fleet remains in orbit, it will periodically send down shuttles carrying vital supplies and particle collectors in order to limit the spread of the radioactive ash cloud.

[Observation Post 13]

A convoy of 16-wheeled vehicles rolls into a dusty clearing, kicking up large clouds of dust. Atlas exploration team's heavy tires draw a deep line on the dirt as the vehicles come to a grinding halt, before parking in a semi-circle to shield themselves from the extreme environment. In the distance, the dim shape of Oshina's sun is momentarily obscured by a screen of dust.

Massive drones, numbering in the hundreds, detach from the vehicle bays and rise into the sky, noisily positioning themselves to form a dome formation. The drones have 6 propeller wings and a Lyapunov device pokes out of their undercarriage.

The device on each drone begins to glow, each adding to a strange ripple in the air until it reaches a tipping point. In the shade cast by the vehicles a bright, blue light forms and begins to expand outward. As the light grows, it seems to envelop the drones, the vehicles, and the surrounding area before stopping. The laws of physics within the Lyapunov field are artificial, allowing the remote manipulation of energy and matter to the desires of the controllers.

With a loud hiss, the roof of a trio of exploration vehicles lifts open, and cubes of materials marked with numbers and element symbols float out gracefully toward the construction site, suspended by the Lyapunov field. Along the way, the cubes began to glow and expand in slow motion, breaking apart into tiny particles and dispersing throughout the Lyapunov field. The particles swirl and move around, mixing together until they combined and solidified into the shape of a fully functional base, equipped with labs, living quarters, other amenities, and a large geodesic dish serving as its crowning jewel. The base will serve as a network of forward operations for mining operations, provide logistic support, and represent Atlas Tomorrow's interest with interstellar and local polities.

The Lyapunov field is shut down and the drones return to their respective vehicle bay. The light shimmers, flickers, and winks out of existence. Gravity resumes, and tiny motes of floating dust pummel down toward the ground.

The vehicles sputter back to life, engines roaring, the chit-chattering of comms, and the flaring of LED light bars. The vehicles reform back to a column with the exception of the 3 vehicles that are empty of materials and roll on toward their next destination. The remaining 3 vehicles pull into the base garage, and the crew breathes a sign of relief as the doors seal.
