Who are we?

We are an international humanitarian organization whose sole purpose is dedicated to providing assistance to people in need, regardless of their race, religion, nationality, or social status. We strive to alleviate suffering, promote human dignity, and support the most vulnerable members of society, that is impartial and is free from alienating political sources.

Unlike most organizations we do not take a side during war, nor do we take sides during peacetime. We are by no means bound by political squabbling and animosity, as we only serve those who are in need. The poor, the wounded, and the sick. We believe that all people deserve kindness, and emphaty regardless of their race or nationality. We are also committed into acting with honesty and transparency during our missions and strive to be inclusive and to work with all members of society, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our adherence to impartiality, neutrality, and humanitarian ideals stand further than politicians placing unneeded bureaucracy in our way of the promotion of the importance of human life.

Brief History of Applying Entity: The BFHW is an offshoot of the NBRC which grew as a government organized nonprofit centered on the well being and support of the disaffected members of Bericia during the Dancer’s war. Starting as a coalition of politicians and merchants who saw the impact and poor state of refugees from the central and border counties, the NBRC has grown over the years and spends much of its time organizing and applying grants to low income families for housing and school fees and funding studies to uncover the root causes of poverty and regional decline. Over the decades it grew from a small national charity to a regional (in universe) commission overseeing and evaluating population trends and the causes of declining populations as well as organizing natural disaster relief. The BFHW unlike the NBRC is free of government control and oversight but not its regulations.
Foreign Policy: Political Neutrality with diplomatic mediation and intervention being the first and usually only tool. Some small peacekeeping and COIN operations have been seen but Beric has never declared war on any nation.

Being a humanitarian alliance I am pretty sure that you all know that there is automatically a rule that specifies that discriminating against nations based solely on their political affiliation isn't allowed. But for the sake of the alliance (Of course, this might have parallels with that IHC incident with that power grab), I solely want this alliance to be controlled by ME precisely so I can ensure its course of action does not stray from its original goals. This means that there will be no positions (which might be changed in the future of course if we get more significant, as I can't do much of the work when I'm also focused on OAMC), and also I might deny people that want to join that I have suspicions on.

Brief History of Applying National Entity: Basically the Viking colonies in Vinland didn’t failed, were somehow brought under control of the Normans, then basically became a semi-global empire post-Middle Ages, seen some success in a centuries-long Personal Union with Great Britain, basically your average successful euro colonial power before WW1. Unlike UK the war didn’t leave a pacifist population due to which Laka was more prepared for WW2, which in turn resulted in the population being ready to fight for their colonies preventing the decolonization from occurring on a larger scale- although most of their western allies “brushed it under the rug” due to Lakan co-operation and them being an important NATO member, after the fall of the USSR the relations have slowly degraded to a point of Laka taking the Russian side in the Ukrainian war in 2022, providing them with indirect support, though with the recent signature of several friendship treaties and mutual demilitarization the future looks somewhat bright and the relations are slowly but surely improving.

Participated in several humanitarian/disaster relief ops with satisfactory results. This assignment is likely to be her last one before her retirement.

She traveled a lot in this job, which got her interested in geography. She left the job after some time, and worked on getting a bachelor's, master's, and PhD in cultural geography. She then decided she wanted to go back to helping people, so she applied to be the delegate.
