Quasi-Stellar Star Civilizations wrote:Admiral Rhiem is surprised at the thaumaturges' ability to prevent the rotational force of the black hole from becoming too great for the sphere to hold and annoyed that Borealis explained things he already knew, but dismisses it. The Admiral then replied:
"While we are aware that the Triumvirate does not wish for total annihilation, we cannot be sure of the others' strategies. As I have said, we simply cannot take that chance. Please understand that we have the same goals: reforming the Itzgari Empire and persecuting them. However, diplomacy and gradual change is always the best option. Violence can and will always end badly. The Coalition wishes to stop this war before it can grow out of hand. And, while the Itzgari Empire does not span the entire galaxy, civilization almost assuredly does. And while we do not know of every civilization out there, we cannot take the chance that others will join and spread the flames of war elsewhere."
Meanwhile, the black hole bomb fully stabilized. However, the mixture of the failsafe and the thaumaturges' interference proved to be too much for the sphere, which broke open, releasing the micro-black hole inside. This was extremely dangerous, as it was near the star. Immediately, two Delworms raced to contain it before it drifted too much.
A drone equipped with a spare sphere is sent to envelop the black hole and succeeds in doing so.
Admiral Rhiem watches as the events unfold, but does not take any direct action.
"You must understand that we have failsafes for the bomb. And while we understand your desire to prevent it from exploding, you must trust us and our technology. The bomb is calibrated very finely, and any outside interference may cause more problems than they solve. Now, look what happened."
"We always know what happen," replied the Grand Marshal, "because we know how black holes work, and we know how micro-black holes work. Unfortunately, the thaumaturges most skilled at stabilizing your micro-black holes, the Class-SSS thaumaturges, were away to perform some environmental restoration operations back at Earth in Universe Alpha-November-India-Mike-Echo; these Class-As were the only ones available. Even if I called several Class-S, few Class-SS and a single Class-S thaumaturge, it will take days for them to arrive."
"Even though we use the same methods, we do not believe the war would get out of hand. The war will still be continued to the Itzgarin Emprie and the Itzgarin Empire alone and only. And even if the war does grow out of hand, it isn't us who would be at fault; rather, the ones who joined the war just to spread will be at fault. Which means more pie for us to deal with, and more forces for us to deploy."
"Violence always end badly? War gets out of hand? You surely didn't look into the Novayan-Saiyanese War, the longest and the most devastating war Novaya and Saiyane have ever seen - it spanned for over 6000+ years. Yes, you hear me right, SIX THOUSAND PLUS YEARS. The war was started by Saiyanese President-Chairman Hideyori Mikado, whose family were aligned with the Sith, which led in a grueling stalemate that lasted for over six thousand years. Worlds and regions change hands every time Saiyane and Novaya launch offensives and counteroffensives. Despite having brought their allies to the war, the war hadn't spread out as many nations - from residential ships to flotillas and fleets, worlds, star systems and star sectors, interstellar regions, galaxy-sized nations and beyond - declared neutrality or supported either side with economic aid and military supplies. In the end, the war had ended when Saku and I, who were respectively 16 and 17 years old at the time and were aided by Helvatian special forces, defeated President-Chairman Kurofune Mikado"
"If you want to know which conflicts spawn out of control that happened in Novaya's history, it's the Void-Light War, the Crisis of the 13th Eon, and the Chaos of the 21st Century. The First and Second Void Wars don't count. The Crisis of the 13th Eon takes the cake because the Death Cults of Meriana, which had arisen from the ashes of the old Kingdom of Meriana, also known as the Northern Kingdom of Meriana, had spread their forces far and wide. And it took everyone almost an entire eon to defeat the Death Cults; the Knights of Meriana had taken hold of the old fallen kingdom and had since then ruled it justly. And before you say anything, yes, the Death Cults utilized longdead armies - that is, reanimated armies. The Sceledarian Empire, one of several remnants of the old kingdom, also used longdead armies but only to hold back the Death Cults' own, and after the establishment of the Holy Kingdom of Meriana the Sceledarian Death Cult put the longdead armies to work on farming. They later developed factories that thaumaturgically and alchemically create animated literal skeletons for any purposes - farming, military, mining, mine clearing, and to a lesser extent companionship. The Sceledarians are pretty chill, though."
"The Void-Light War also counts, since the Armies of the Light had spread their forces after many nations said "no" to their demands to submit to them and be "purified" - their purification methods involve putting forcibly imbuing holy light into us, which only killed the individual slated to be purified; few rarely lived to tell the tales. Needless to say, the Armies of the Light wouldn't take "no" for an answer, and forced the purification and conversion of those who said "no". The Armies of the Light were beaten back to the Breach and kicked out of the Void. That hypocrisy had been addressed in the Day of Ancient Reconciliation back on Earth-ANIME."
"However, while I do admit that some conflicts spread out of control, there actually existed some that happened back on Earth-ANIME. Historical and current ones. The Crusades of the Middle Ages, the Napoleonic Wars, World War I, World War II, the Cold War, and and currently the Global War on Terrorism. The situation has excacerbated when
Ra attacked Russia, the
the Arume invaded Earth-ANIME, and the
Second Earth-Mars War is in full swing. The arrival of the Monarch Fortitude and its armada had put a stop on these conflicts in the Sol System because I tasked Lord Admiral Borealis I with the safe return of two interplanetary spaceships carrying students that were inbound for the Moon back in October last year; said two interplanetary spaceships had their FTL drives sabotaged by Sith agents several months last year. I don't want to get into details on Exegol-2 that happened during Operation Sovereign Justice, a military operation dedicated to stopping the First Order, a mask for the real thing, the Sith Empire. After that war ended on January 10, 2015 this year, eight days later the multidimensional One Sith War outside Universe ANIME and its Earth-ANIME spillover, the Godom War, happened. Both conflicts saw the hideously incompetent One Sith."
"I hate to break this to you, but even if others would join in just so that the war would spiral out of control, I doubt that could. If anything, I'd say the wars in other parts of the galaxy that had been ongoing before or during our war is unrelated to the Itzgarin War. There's also the chance that no one knew about the Itzgarin invasion of Earth and the Itzgarin War. Even if some knew of it and spread it, many would be neutral or just observe it from a distance and few would start wars."
