The Battle for the Eastern Pacific (Open/IC/MT)

Earlier this month, a successful coup d'état in Japan placed Kawamoto Eisaku as the new emperor of Japan. The new Empire of Japan is highly nationalistic, and new doctrines are being formed in the armed forces to fit with these views. Tensions between Korea and Japan are rising, and small naval engagements are breaking out throughout the sea of Japan.

Japanese soldiers have been sent to southern South Korea to try to take and capture Korea, reforming the Japanese Empire to its former glory. The new regime has been facing scrutiny from the public, but those who try to criticise the government face harsh punishments. Japan wishes for war support in South Korea, as their only two allies are the Chinese nationalists in Taiwan and the North Koreans. The Japanese have established a successor to the Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere, known as the Greater Eastern Pacific Pact. The members remain themselves, North Korea, and Taiwan. The Tibetans, wanting independence from China are trying to join the pact, but aren't in yet.

The Hawaiians are under threat too, but they may be able to negotiate peace. The Japanese don't want the United States on their tail just yet. The Japanese have sent several politicians to take leadership positions. The politicians are nationalistic, and want a united Japanese empire.

The Korean front is bloody, with guns firing and little to no rest. The North Koreans push in from the north, and the demilitarised zone has been mostly destroyed. The South Koreans wish and pray for international support, and the Japanese wish for the same.

In the Sea of Japan, near the coast of South Korea

A Bakivish patrol ship cruises around the turbulent sea, looking for possible threats. Several ships have been sunk in the area where the ship is sailing, so the crew stay weary and cautious. The Bakivish haven't yet chosen a side, they're leaning towards the Japanese, seeing a fellow imperialist, but their oppressive regime is all it takes for them to walk away. The ship rides the waves, and soldiers holding rifles are on-guard. The current crew is about thirty, with around ten soldiers on the boat. Each soldier is equipped with a rifle and a semi-machine gun, ready to take on any threat.

The waves soon calm as they reach the Korean mainland. The soldiers alight the ship, and thank the crewmen. As they get off, they notice several figures in the distance. They raise their rifles and begin to shoot, knocking it down and sounds of agony quickly follow.

"It's a Korean!" one of the soldier yelps.

"Welp, the Japanese and Koreans aren't here to help us." one replies.

One soldier gulps, looking back at the body.

Meanwhile, the rest of the soldiers move forwards toward the friendly encampment full of Bakivish soldiers and possibly Marajarbian ones.

We'll not be accepting your current demands to cease our imperialistic efforts in Korea, and we're not afraid of future military advancements from the Seorabeolian Armed Forces and their allies. The Japanese have established a Korean state on the Jeju island, and the Korean state shall grow larger as the war progresses. In the Japanese metropole and throughout her new lands, propaganda posters are being distributing and being placed on street posts and such.

In Korea, the battles are getting worse, with many dying. Blood and guts stain the battlefield and dead bodies pile on top of each other. The Japanese push north to the city of Gwangju, hoping to use it as a foothold to progress further in Korea. The small North Korean army is having a real struggle pushing past the DMZ, with South Korean military presence in the area being very high.

The Japanese have launched an assault on Manchuria, and the Chinese Government is struggling to keep Manchuria. Soon enough, Manchukuo may be formed again!

When the warning was not accepted, Seorabeol decided to show determination. If they didn't back down, we had to make them back down.

The launch pad of TEL(Transporter Erector Launcher) vehicles hiding in the mountains began to head to the sky. After a while, the TEL vehicles began to move to random locations after firing missiles.

The 150 hypersonic missiles(Not equipped with nuclear warheads) targeted military and command facilities in Japan and North Korea. 90 shots were aimed at Japanese airfields, barracks, ammunition dumps, military ports, and command facilities, while the remaining 60 were aimed at North Korea's main military facilities. The missile's error range was 2 meters, and the missiles were only aimed at military facilities far from the city center, so there was little possibility of civilian damage.

New Roman Empire: Basically the Eastern Roman Empire that is still under the Constantinian dynasty. Has a modern military. Home to the Eastern Orthodox Church located in the capital city of Constantinople. Byzantine territory consisted of Greece, Turkey, North Macedonia and Bulgaria. Their Saiyanese counterparts in the Federal Department of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff also did the same thing.

As a result, both the Novayan Armed Forces and the Saiyanese Armed Forces mobilized their reserve forces. Comprising 7% of their respective nations' total populations, the military reserve forces were called into active military services. Usually undergoing a trimonthly force rotation period, military reservists reported to their stations and either begin training or receiving their military equipment.

The Novayan Pacific Fleet (consisting of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Novayan Naval Fleets) and the Saiyanese Pacific Fleet (consisting of the Saiyanese 1st, 2nd and 3rd Fleets) were among the military units deployed in response to the Japanese invasion. In conjunction with the Novayan and Saiyanese Air Forces, both theater command fleets were tasked with the defense of their nations. The Japanese continue to push into Korea, and the North Koreans are near the South Korean capital of Seoul. The Japanese have enacted a nation-wide draft, requiring all able-bodied men of ages 18 to 30 to serve in the military for a period of at least 6 months.

Gwangju, South Korea

Several Japanese soldiers were treading through the city streets, fighting back the South Korean enemy. The soldiers on each side fired shots from their assault rifles. Some were injured, but the Japanese pushed through. The Japanese were waving a flag of the State of Korea as they shot the South Koreans dead. They rushed through the city, taking non-combatants and civilians as POWs. They removed the South Korean flag in the city hall and replaced it with the State of Korea flag.

Suddenly...

KAH-BOOM...

A bomb dropped nearby at the city of Gunsan, not a nuclear bomb, but a big bomb. The ashes flew, and the flash hit even the soldiers in Gwandju.

The threat of the Japanese to American and Islamic interests in the Pacific is undeniable and with knowledge of the Japanese conquests of WW2 and their effect on Americans in the region we will strongly oppose this move by the new Japanese government. Seorabeol's fleet approached 60 kilometers from South Korea's West Sea coastline. Then the destroyers, cruisers, and battleships of Seorabeol's fleet opened the lid of the VLS and pulled the trigger.

370 hypersonic cruise missiles were launched from the fleet. 300 missiles were fired at Japanese troops landing on the South Korean mainland, and 70 at Japanese bases on Jeju Island. The missiles flew towards the enemy at a tremendous speed of Mach 9.

The fleet that fired cruise missiles picked the next target. The E-2D aircraft searched for a radius of 555 kilometers and aimed at all nearby enemy ships. 400 hypersonic anti-ship missiles were fired from the fleet, and they flew toward targets at Mach 9.

At the same time, V-22 aircraft and MUH-3 helicopters took off and flew toward Gwangju from the Amphibious Assault Ships. A total of 1,000 marines will land near Gwangju.

Meanwhile, Ro/Ro Ships landed 50,000 Army personnel, 490 tanks, 1,800 armored vehicles, 100 Self-Propelled Howitzers, 210 UGCVs, 20 MLRSs, and 50 Anti-aircraft Vehicles on the Mokpo coast.

The recent hypersonic missile launches at Japanese and North Korean military bases are viewed as an act of war. The Japanese officially declare war on the Federation. Both the State of Korea and the Imperial State of Japan shall declare war on the Federation, and they shall wait until later for a counterattack. Their operations in South Korea are going quite well, in fact, and they're turning their heads toward Manchuria. North Korean troops are being stationed at the Chinese border, ready to attack.

Hearing of the recent Deseretan sanctions, the Japanese shall seek new trade partners. The Japanese are threatening war against the Deseretans due to the increased naval operations near the Japanese archipelago. They hope that this is enough to steer them away.

The Japanese shall increase defence spending to defend themselves against any aggression from the Seorabeolians and the Council of the Triumvirate.

The operations in Korea were successful, and with it came the fall of Seoul. The South Korean Government went into exile recently, and those found are being executed. It is possible with the remaining South Korean army, a new warlord period may begin, with Korea shattering into smaller pieces.

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is in the process of integration, soon creating a greater Korean state. The politics of Korea are expected to shift from their current militaristic and fascist tendencies to a democracy nearing the end of the war. Currently, the stability of our great nation is too low for democracy to be installed currently. We do apologise for this, and we thank the Korean army for their support during the invasion.
