Amogunistani Civil War [IC, Sign-Ups]

Postby Amogunistan » Sat Dec 03, 2022 9:30 am

In the past, Afghanistan and Iran, which is now Amogunistan, was a tranquil country in Asia. However, things have changed since Susired took office as Amogunistan's president. He kept passing legislation after law, enslaving the country. In Amogunistan, he instituted authoritarianism. The last straw came when he signed a bill outlawing the existence of any kind of party, essentially outlawing both his own party and the Communist Party. There were also those fascists who want power; they seized the chance to incite a rebellion and thereby launch a full-scale civil war.

Sides:

Government: Susired is in charge of this side. He has pledged to the nation that he will abolish any laws that impose an authoritarian system on the populace. He'll legalize parties. But he has stated that the Communist Party will continue to be outlawed because they are dangerous to the future of the country. However, he doesn't want to keep them legal and in place in secret. The only thing he'll do differently is to get rid of everybody who isn't loyal to him.

Communists: Rong Dijuia is in charge of this group. He is a well-liked communist leader. His principal goal is to secure the freedom of the Communist Party and its members. However, secretly,  The Communist leader is scheming to seize power and assassinate everyone who does not submit to the party. He intends to make all parties and private businesses illegal, thereby transforming the nation into Mao Zedong's China.

Fascists: Their one and only aim is to grab power and establish a fascist state.

Word of war in Amogunistani didn’t take long to reach the Iraq Federation and seeing who is fighting it was best to support the communist side however the Socialist Ba’athist Party in Iraq wanted a communist party that will unite the Arabs however they would need to be the winners so until then they would have to play along. The first thing was sending a military group over and so one was created and was named the Iraqi Mobilization Force-Amogunistani (IMFA) consisting of the 8th, 9th and 12th republic division totaling up to 15,000 soldiers and along artillery, armored, and air units for support.

All troops and equipment would be loaded in AN-12 and AN-22 transport aircraft and depart from a military airfield in Iraqi-held Khuzestan and fly their way towards communist controlled territory air squadrons consisting of MiG-29SMTs, MiG-23MLD, MiG-21-93 and F-7BMG jets were mobilized and were to escort the transports to their destination.

To also support the Communists military equipment mostly consisting of Type 56s, AKMs, Vz.58s, SKS rifles and RPD, RPK, PKM machine guns along with rocket launchers, MANPADS, and ATGMS and ammunition were to be given to the communists army. Type 59 tanks and BMP-1s were also being shipped to bolster communist armor units.

The Lakan Colony of Sohar was a quiet place- your usual remote portal part of the Empire, where the locals were relatively calm (their way of life was usually left undisturbed and they couldn’t concern themselves with what the “colonizers” were living like), the weather was, although a bit too hot and dry, better than back home, and best of all, it was an important port- one from which many of the supertankers set sail for the countries who needed the “black oil”- these gigantic, hundreds-of-meters-long ships were fairly usual sight at Sohar- and were welcomed there by everyone- for the supertankers always brought with themselves wealth. With the Lakan respect for the environment, and scrutinized attention to safety and security, environmental issues were of limited concern- and thus Sohar was a good place for “old” Royal Forces officers to “sit out” the end of their careers before their retirement and them settling up into a country life in better climate.

That all changed with the outbreak of the civil war across the Persian Gulf. The shipping companies, reasonably fearing for the safety of their ships- especially being concerned regarding the losses of multiple vessels during the Iran-Iraq war have petitioned for the Crown as well as local government to provide additional security to their ships. Their petitioning was accompanied by several well-placed “gifts” to civilian and military leadership, and so, they had a deal…
The Royal Navy Indian Ocean Squadron- a fairly sizeable fleet usually stationed at Rhodesia and busy drilling the local navy and fairly often running joint exercises with them (with rhodesians usually playing as BLUFOR and the Lakans as REDFOR)- because of this, despite not seeing combat in the past 30 years and having a reputation for this, they were amongst the most combat ready units in the Navy. Even before their arrival into the region, the Royal Persian Gulf Axillary Squadron would begin combat drills, with the tankers amassing in the port, before eventually moving out in a gigantic, 30-ship-large convoy which stretched for more than 50 kilometers in length. Although initially the ships would be escorted by most of the PGAS’ vessels, halfway through the “danger zone” they’d be met by several elements from RNIOS, a detachment of whom would then join the convoy, while a larger part would move further into Sohar or stay outside of the Gulf, waiting for the new tankers to arrive. The gears of the economy must be kept running, and if some military intervention would be needed to keep them operational, that’s a risk the Lakans were willing to take.

The Su-34FNM2 was, for all intents and purposes, a plane destined to serve as a coastal reconnaissance aircraft. Possessing a two-man crew sitting inside a comfortable cabin, while also carrying vast electronics array, it had a rather inexpensive flight time when compared to the gigantic purpose-designed maritime reconnaissance aircraft, while also could fly around long enough to make up for the cost. It’s crew- a the pilot, a low-ranking noble serving near the end of his 8-year-long contract and a WSO- a commoner, recruited from the locals several years ago for her love of air, were a good team, understanding each other at half-word, and knowing their aircraft as if it was a part of themselves. Their task for now was flying boring reconnaissance missions near the convoys, active radar searching for any unidentified boats and then “buzzing” them to try and scare them off, while relating warnings to turn away or “face the consequences”. Usually, the sheer sound of the Sukhoi’s two AL-31FM’s was more than engouh to convince a local to turn around- and while some fishermen might complain of the jet ruining their catch over civilian frequencies, neither the colonial government, neither the Crown, neither the firms operating the tankers could care less- for them it was business. Pure, clean business.

Zombielanden

Postby Zombielanden » Mon Dec 05, 2022 8:36 am

When the war in Amogunistani started the first place the fascists looked to were the Zombielanden boarderlands. Cheap affordable labor full of starving soldiers, but effecient soldiers. The people in Zombielanden were said to strong and were willing to do whatever it takes to survive, even resorting to cannibalism in the bare empty lands of Zombielanden. The fascists offered the people of the Zombieland money, food, and water and the soldiers gladly accepted the offer and 100 Zombielanden troops began to march towards Amogunistani.
