In 1953 Tokyo was destroyed by the First Impact of Calamity asteroid. Those many years ago the survivors looked upon the burning ruins of what was once Santoak's ancient beating and wondered if it would ever return to glory.

It did.

Through two decades of repairs and renovation, a new Tokyo was built upon the ashen wastes of its past. A teeming metropolis now homes to a massive industry of trade, commerce, and tourism that was home to almost 20 million people. It wasn't like any ordinary city. The entire city had been built with the threat of M.A.G.Es in mind. Its buildings were built to be able to retract into the ground for safety.

In expectation of an influx of new visitors in the wake of Santoak's victory in Kamchatska a new tourist video was made to familiarise all dignitaries with the city.

The meeting itself would be conducted in the old Tokyo Imperial Palace. In the aftermath of the firestorms of the First Impact, the Imperial Palace had been one of the few buildings left standing. Even if Santoak no longer had an Emperor even then, it became a symbol of hope to build a better future. So that their future children could enjoy the Palace as they once had.

The palace itself is richly decorated with murals of momentous events in both Santoak and Kamchatska histories and cultures. Outside even with many countries presiding at the peace table Santoak and Kamchatska's flags flew the highest at the very highest roof of the Imperial Palace.

Prime Minister Shinji Soryuu, a man in his mid to late forties dressed in a fine suit, was seated at the table alongside JSDF Commander/Lord Protector Asuka Ikari. Whereas Prime Minister Soryuu appeared to exude a sense of cooperation and calmness, Lord Protector Ikari had an aura of redheaded blood and fire tempered within the furnace of dozens of M.A.G.E wars.

"I concur with his majesty that reparations must be paid towards all damage Kamchatska has taken. However, Santoak will also be willing to invest up to 98.8 billion Yen [equivalent to USD] to repair and uplift the people of Kamchatska using the Santoak industry and firms." Prime Minister Ikari said, able to speak fluent Russian, in a calculated diplomatic tone, "In the spirit of maintaining the peace let's extend the demilitarisation zone to 15 miles from the Kamchatska border for the Russians. It has assisted the temporary government of the demilitarized zone to establish air defense facilities, establish hospitals, and receive wounded soldiers there. The administrative power of the demilitarized zone belongs to the government of the demilitarized zone, not to the Chongqing government. Truthfully he would have tolerated the International Port proposal from the Federation but if Ikari was so bold... it meant that she had the full backing of the SSDF behind her. Internally he sighed. They were starting to lash out at past SSDF loyalists within the civilian government who were resigning with age or losing appointments and elections. He had always suspected that the SSDF had interfered heavily with the last election in an attempt to have his opponent, an ex-Air Force General, overtake him in the final few nights. He could never be sure. The intelligence services had said the contrary but they had enough SSDF loyalists within them he couldn't trust their word entirely.

He couldn't outright oppose her now. To oppose her would have shown further weakness at the table that might have their foes doubt the unity of Santoak's government. Besides, it would only benefit the SSDF if it appeared he was backing down in the face of a foreign foe.

1. Russia and its Allies will pay Serious War Repreparations to Kamchatska and it’s Allie’s (Allie’s referring to nations who were involved on either side)

4. A Demilitarized Zone will be put on the border of Russia and Kamchatska, where no military Personal on either side will be allowed, Citizens will be allowed to live in this area though.

"Kamchatka's proposal seems good enough. In addition, we would like to review and add what we have proposed.

I also listened to Ms. Ikari's opinion. That's quite understandable. You wouldn't be happy to have a hostile army approaching your north. But it seems unreasonable to prevent Chong Qing from approaching international ports just because it is a hostile country to Santoak. After all, the port is an 'international port' established for the politically neutral purpose of fighting piracy.

If that is the case, I think Santoak's concerns could be dispelled if troops with access to international ports are at a level that would not pose a threat to Santoak. I would like to ask leaders and representatives of each country what they think about limiting accessible ships to frigate-level vessels suitable for anti-piracy, without restricting countries that have access to international ports.“
