Before posting in IC, I would like to state my reasons for this arguement. I oppose merging the ODP with the UDC because of the following reasons:

1. If we do so, we shall lose sovereignty over the alliance,

2. We may also be able to find other alternatives, besides merging,

3. We can gain more influence and possibly become one of the large alliances if we don't merge.

As a member of the executive committee, I can confirm that a merger is being worked out, but remains in the planning phase for now. While I do have to agree on several of Bakivaland’s points and even encourage a vote for the merger, no merger is happening until at least mid-January of 2023.
