15 years after the Koraxian forces conquered earth one third of the galaxy had been taken over by the Koraxians. The story of Fate 2 takes place in the border planet of Highlend, a planet 10 times the size of earth full of thick forests, several alien tribes and wildlife and no oceans, but rather countless rivers scattered accross the planet. Highlend has been a constant battleground between Koraxian and forces from Odin and Jupiter2 for last decade. In recent times the Odin-Jupiter2 alliance sent a group of 10 ai titans and 10 wanderer-controlled titans known LF detachment to fight in Highlend and save the planet from the Koraxian tyrants.

Are you fighting? Yes.

Reason for fighting: Hyperintelligent AI doesn't like uppity tyrants in eir galaxy.

ORBAT: TBD, largely based on the scale of the conflict. Typically, due to my FFT status, I go with about 216 troops, 36 tanks (well, kind-of-tanks), a squadron of 12 Aerospace Fighters, 6 flying fortresses (not the WWII Bomber, literal levitating starfort-like constructs), and a single Battle Avatar of Hahoalki emself.

Of course, said Battle Avatar has something called the "Manus Domini," and every other unit in the formation has access to some sort of field effector technology (manifested using something I call the Langston Grid) which is capable of doing something similar on a smaller scale.

Hold your horses, my enthusiastic OP, I haven't even picked a side yet. But I think, that I will join the Odin Alliance, with the hidden agenda, that the Realm will not relinquish their hold of liberated planets and systems... they bled for them, they threw the Koraxians out, now it is time for the Realm to profit.

Anyway...
Name:
    The Realm of Teienai.
Side:
    Odin-Alliance.
Are you fighting?
    Yes.
Reason for fighting:
    Politics.
ORBAT: More detailed ORBATs will follow as soon as I have them myself (will link to Wikia). ; )
    Mobile Unit 7, ITN.
    Planetary Assault Force 10, ITA.
    Raiding Group, 8th Division, ITA.

I will, however, go with a more minimalistic approach then more then a thousand ships and 6.15 million in ground forces.

Aurelleon,

I'm a little confused by the layer terminology - since bombardment from directly above only affected the shields of the "outer" layer, I had assumed that Fort Kyro was a three dimensional structure like an onion.

Is it three dimensional like an onion, essentially made of concentric domes, or is it more like Minas Tirith with concentric fortifications embedded in the ground?

Then wouldn't the "mirror cannons" be mounted on the outside of the second layer, rather than being entirely outside of it? This part isn't completely relevant, but I am trying to get an idea of what I'm trying to attack - which is necessary for tactics.

Also, regarding the mirror cannons - how exactly do they work? Initially, I assumed that they channeled energy delivered to the shield back at an attacker, but they seem to be attacking independently of my firing on the Fort, and I certainly didn't fire on the approaching ships, so I must be missing something.

1.If they are placed on top of the shields there is no way, it can hurt the second layer or the shields itself.

2. Fort Kyro is a large fort shaped much like a box and is the size of a small city. It's actually more like a box within a box as there are 5 layers of the fortress. You with your ship were most likely trying to shoot either the outer wall or the roof. Cannons lie outside the walls and roofs and shields, which every layer has.

3. Mirror cannons scan the weapon of the enemy and then convert themselves to copy the weapon. The best way I could describe it is if you ever watched transformers age of extinction. The new man-made transformers could basically convert themselves into small particles and change into whatever car they wanted. That is sort of how mirror cannons work, they literally mirror your weapons. They were featured in Fate one when the Korax had to fight an enemy they had no information on, so they copied the weaponry of their ship.
