As the battle raged, two figures stood at the top of a hill sword fighting. They were the general of the Parliament army, Kristljot Ljotur Olafurson, and general of the Monarchy army, Baldur Freyrson. hours of fighting, Olafurson fell while trying to parry Freyrson's sword and was shot by a hooded slave mounted on a horse with revolver. Olafurson fell on to Freyrson cursing all of Iceland and the Norse Gods and Goddesses. Freyrson then lifted Olafurson and threw him into the hordes of fighting soldiers below. Without a leader, the army surrendered. The Civil War had ended and The Monarchy of Iceland had won. Despite the victory, the road to rebuilding the nation would be a long one.
