The Visby-class corvette HMS Thunderchild’s captain would apologize for the inconvenience and move closer to the ship, it’s captain explaining that due to the unfortunate actions of the local hostiles, such drastic actions had to be undertaken. Furthermore, the Visby will provide the freighter with the escort all the way to it’s destination, following it’s closely- it’s a standard procedure for warships to escort neutral shipping in such type of conflicts, the UN should not be that much opposed to the matter (if they’d be the Lakan rep would try to lobby his way into them not being opposed). Despite the Visby being close, attacking it now would not be a good idea- it’s armed with a 57-mm rapid firing cannon for a very good reason…

With the enemy troops diving into the water, in the lights of the projctors, the fleet would “set sail”, moving in a seemingly sporadic manner- it is nearly impossible for a diver to approach a moving ship- moreover, it is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to do so- the ship’s propellers suck in a lot of water- and once you’re caught into the stream heading in, there is no way out. Furthermore, they’re going to set their sonars to “engagement” mode, active pinging at high frequency and power- just out of the specs at which the sonar would boil the water and reduce it’s effectiveness. Why would this matter, one might ask? A ship’s sonar is able to produce sounds BILLIONS of times louder than a fighter jet taking off- and considering the “pingery” going on in relatively shallow waters (and that sound is usually louder and travels for a longer distance underwater), you can probably see where this is going. Even remaining in the water a few kilometers away from the ships would become hazardous to ones health, but in the case of the divers, they’re going to suffer some major wounds- not only will they become extremely disoriented and will suffer damage to their hearing, those unfortunate to be be the closest ones may have their lungs be ruptured by the sheer vibrating power of the sonar- and, well, what would happen to those who will get within >30 meters? At least, their death would be a fast one- their brain would immediately hemmoraphage and turn into a red mush… Even those who would be clever to retreat would still suffer and probably have to surface- because of the power of the ping, they’ll be unlikely to continue underwater swimming for obvious reasons. Several of the warships will dispatch their EOD robots to try and rescue some of the enemies, while the rest will prepare their EOD divers- it’ll take some time for them to get into their diving gear.

Despite actively maneuvering and engaging the boats with CIWS, the Assimilator would continue counterbattery fire, engaging the enemy with nearly all of it’s secondary guns and two of it’s primary armament ones. It’s “hellbent” on destroying the battery and preventing further casualties to friendly units regardless of the amount of ammunition spent- it can always go out into the sea and receive more! The fighters previously sent to hunt down the retreating artillery would be rerouted to the new target and given “clear and present instructions not to fuck up this time”

The CH-5 would be detected by several of the warships (in no small thanks due to these warships being “scared” by several dudes in a boat, many of which will engage it- the AEGIS system’s command computer believes the UAV to be homing in multiple ASW’s, and thus it is designated as one of the primary targets, with a singular two-plane formation of fighters, who are then redirected to the “new contact”- the C-130 and it’s escorts. Despite the fighters being outnumbered more than two to one, it is not viewed as an issue. AEGIS orders 3 RIM-7 missiles launched at the UAV and two SM-6 interceptors at the AC-130 and it’s escorts. “Gunships” were never meant to use against an enemy with an actually capable AA/AD system for a very, VERY good reason- it is extremely vulnerable to any air defense system better than MANPADS- although the Harriers are in a better place, they’re still at a disadvantage to the fighters- they lack radars and BVR missiles, furthermore, the Lakan fighters don’t even have to reveal themselves- due to the network centric warfare stuff, their AIM-260’s ((it’s IOC will be like in a month or something I’d argue that it is MT if it’s not then AIM-120)) will be launched without any emissions from the planes- the guidance will be done by the AWACS and other radars, the planes will keep their radar off and, should any harriers be able to evade the AIM-260’s (which is extremely unlikely- its slow as hell), they’ll move in for action with their medium-small range missiles- while the Harrier may try to flare them, considering the sheer amount of radars targeting it and that modern missiles have good noise immunity this is unlikely to work- the Harrier will have to bleed a lot of speed to evade SAM’s, leaving it low and slow, ripe for the taking by the fighters.

Although renewed shelling would this time would finally secure a mission kill against the armored column, detonating the ammo rack of one of the MBT’s and, as a result of the somewhat botched evacuation of the crew heavily wounding it’s gunner and lightly wounding it’s commander (a medevac armored vehicle was, of course, immediately dispatched, escorted by a BMP-2M Berezhok), in general the shelling would be less effective due to the reduced amount of cannons. Infantry, suffering light casualties thanks to the suppressing fire, would be informed in advance of the attacking opponents (which would be a very stupid thing to do against an armored column whose troops are already dismounted)- for now, the infantry marines would cease advancing and let the enemy suppress the ultranationalists with their automatic cannons and MG’s- tanks will fire thermobaric shells to “dissuade” them from advancing and to “fuck” with their NVD’s- while the NVD’s used by the marines automatically reduce the brightness of the screens in reaction to the sudden flashes (a thermobaric explosion is a VERY bright flash), not all 3rd gen NVD’s do this. Furthermore, charging across an open ground while being fired on with rounds which are partially designed to counter large-scale charges is very, very dangerous for ones health… Because of this, five more MEDEVAC vehicles will be routed, escorted by a pair of tanks and a BMPT- some of the ultranationalist wounded by the burns may still be saved, if they’ll receive proper medical care that is. All of the medevac vehicles are clearly marked as such, with large red crosses visible in all specters including infrared ones.

Naval Assault Begins

Postby Independent Republic of Boldonia » Fri Nov 25, 2022 3:04 pm

Kotlin Island
Helicopters from IRBS Mariana moved in on Kotlin Island to take Bullish Field for usage by the airforce. A small group of infantry was landed to guard the airfield.

Mpp Bol'shoy Port
IRBS Mariana and her escorts anchored just off of the port. The naval invasion had begun, LAVs and other landing craft carrying infantry exited the well deck and helicopters took of from the IRBS Mariana's well deck, also carrying infantry. Attack helicopters were also launched to take care of anti-aircraft sites at the Port and at the immediate vicinity. Once they were destroyed the plan was to launch AV-8 Harrier VTOL aircraft to patrol the skies around the Vasileostrovsky District. A very standard plan for the IRBMF, most of the Boldonian military strategy was focused on amphibious operations.

NATO HQ, Brussels
Representatives from the IRB were sent to NATO HQ and showed anyone who would listen pictures of NATO equipment in the hands of the Ultranationalists. They hoped they were able to convince any NATO members to help government forces by showing that their enemy had their technology and secrets closely guarded by NATO members.

Birds in the Air, Ships in the Sea
"Hello again from St. Petersburg, we have arrived at the Waterfront and I can now confirm that there is a Blockade here. Some sort of Cargo Ship is approaching the Blockade, they have their lights and guns aimed at the cargo ship. It appears Divers are jumping from the Cargo Ship, Battle Alarms are going off on every ship of the Blockade Fleet. The Blockade is making Evasive measures, All the Ships are making serpentine movements and are pointing there spotlights and Machine Guns at the Water. I think frogmen may have launched from the Cargo Ship and are now attempting to attack the Blockade! Launching a military attack from a civilian ship would constitute a war crime if that is what is actually happening. We'll continue to monitor this situation but let me tell you about other events happening in St. Petersburg. At least one AC-130 gunship is circling the city, and several Helicopters have been seen across the city. We'll interpret the broadcast again if anything changes but for now we can safely turn it back over to Colin Jost in New York, the control room will likely put our feed in a corner of your Screen. Colin!"

A tapping, tapping noise came over a select few radio channels.

"So, uhhh... Does anyone mind if we... perhaps... step in? We've been around since... I mean, I don't actually know how to measure time across universes, dimensions, realities... All that jazz. So. The voice became silent.

Lube - Soldat Starts playing
OOC: Laka The Offensive forces haven't launched yet.
The Enemy forces using thermobaric shells on somewhat militas... The Ultranationalists militas pulled out other types of weapons... 9M133 Kornet Anti=Tank Guided Missiles. The Militas have placed them in concealed buildings at the end of streets to get clear visual on the enemy armored column they aimed and fired and quickly changed their position to avoid returning fire from enemy armor. The Militas fought using AT and AP mines. They placed PFM-1 Anti-Personnel landmines in buildings and alley ways. The Militas have aimed towards the MEDEVAC Vehicles with RPG-7s and machineguns.

The Battery was damaged barely any of the equipment was working. Maxim Kastov ordered a new artillery to be deployed with M777 Howitzers. The New Batteries deployed in better positions and they are awaiting further orders. The CH-5 Rainbow was detected the enemy forces have launched Three RIM-7 missiles and two SM-6 interceptors the UAV managed to outrun some of the missiles using flares. One Missile stayed on it's tail the CH-5 armed with a Martel AJ 168 TV-Guided Missile it fired the missile towards a ship the CH-5 didn't live long enough it was shot down. The Harriers we're taken by suprise one of the harriers was shot down fortunately the pilot was safe he landed on Ultranationalists territory. The Remaining harriers fully throttled and began firing flares. The C-130 Gunship manuvered and is disengaging headed towards Finland. The Lakan Fighters didn't know GAZ Vodniks with 1L121-E radar modifications have detected them which is good but the bad side is there are no Anti-Air Defenses near them. The Harriers managed to evade the missiles they contacted the enemy fighters and began firing AAM AIM-9 Sidewinder Missiles towards them. Now their plan is to give the Gunship time to escape.

The "United Nations" Freight ship made a final stop at the docks of Lisy Nos a settelment a bit far from conflict, thanking the escort then beginning to unload the containers unto trucks. Then make it's way to the "Needing Districts".

Kotlin Island...
The Ultranationalists have recieved anonymous information about Boldonian Forces on the Kotlin Island. The Inner Circle Commander Mikhail launched and hit both bridges connecting the Kotlin Island the damage is somewhat acceptable but dangerous to be driven on due to the chances of it going to collapse. A New war machine appeared on the Ultranationalists side it's the M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System Mikhail ordered daily fire towards the Island.

Mpp Bol'shoy Port...
Boldonian Naval invasion have begun..... Their plans we're to remove the presence of Anti-Air Sites but they don't know their plans will quickly foil due heavy presence and the Very High risk of danger flying deep into Ultranationalists territories. Maxim have readied an armored battalion composed of (T-72 Tanks, T-80U Black Eagle Tanks, BMP-1, BMP-2 some with Berezhok combat modules, BMPT Terminators.) A CH-5 Drone appeared being operated by artillery observers they have coordinated the positions and began firing D-20 Howitzers with HE-FRAG shells.

NATO HQ, Brussels
All of the NATO members stood silent saying "This is Nonsense!" or "These vehicles are rip offs!" Until The Belgium Representive told the boldonian about breaches, inflitrations and bribes by " Certain People".

Victory in The Smolninskoye Municipal Okrug
Ultranationalists forces in the Smolninskoye Municipal gained another trimuphant victory againsts Russian Goverment Troops they have overcomed hardships they had a hard battle in the Tauride Palace The Russian forces we're incircled there for hours until they gave up this victory gave them total control of the Tsentralny District The Ultranationalists found more abandoned equipment and vehicles. This Even more gave them access to push forward to the Kalininsky District and the Krasnogvardeysky District.

The change of 9M113 would work in their favor somewhat- given that the usage situations were better. Unlike NLAW’s and FGM-148’s, which could be used by a kneeled infantryman allowing for the infantryman to change directions immediately after firing (it has a “fire and forget” type of system- get a lock, then run away), the Konkurs (9M113 is not Kornet, Kornet’s GRAU index is 9K135) was a different story, it’s missile requiring guidance all the way through towards the target and traveling at a slower speed, while packing a more powerful warhead (and thus giving it more possibility to penetrate ERA and armor should it get through), it posed a far easier target for APS’s, some of whom are even programmed to engage missiles with machine guns- while this is unlikely to work, it would reduce the use of APS charges, allowing for more interceptions. However, in this case 9M113’s “Achilles feet” would show itself most prominently- it cannot be shoulder-fired at all and requires a tripod, furthermore, it weighs much more than any of the previously mentioned ATGM systems. To get it moving, the militia would have to spend several minutes detaching the missile from the tripod, getting both of these into a stowed position and then finally moving on, dragging EXTREMELY HEAVY things… You can probably see where this is going- either they’re going to abandon the tripods immediately after guiding the missile in, or try to pack it end end up “cooked” by the tank’s armament. It is next to impossible to swiftly change positions when using it- and if the militia will go ahead with their attempts they’re bound to pay dearly for this…
Only the few missiles would even get to the target- while the Konkurs is wire-guided, and thus nearly impossible to destroy with soft-kill APS, it’s easily predictable flight path, subsonic flight speed and, most importantly, utter dependence on the launcher surviving all the way through it’s flight would seriously negate it’s penetrating advantage. The Konkurs is nearly guaranteed to miss should the launcher or the launcher’s crew be destroyed or would loose their line of sight to the target, which would end up as expected as you’d think, especially considering the militiamen concentrating their fire on the tanks- although several of the vehicles are hit, none of them receive critical damage and, due to networking between the whole column, the loss of several systems is not that critical.

Passive scanners aboard both armed vehicles and unarmed MEDEVAC armor have detected human-like heat signatures emanating from the areas- the column would stop and get in combat formation, and although they’d avoid opening fire initially, they’d load HE and prepare to open fire. Over both radio frequencies and voice (some armored vehicles are fitted with loudspeakers), the warnings that the units are a MEDEVAC colony firing in which would constitute a war crime- no ammunition is carried aboard any of the vehicles, and they severely warn the enemies from firing upon them.

With the suppression of the battery now complete, the Assimilator would move on to the next targets- providing artillery support for the engaged column, intending to further suppress the firing positions and, combined with armor support, allow the friendly infantry to push through.

The Martel is a very outdated missile, being in production/service for more than 50 years, thus being extremely vulnerable to both hard-kill and soft-kill defenses, all of which were present here. All ships in the fleet carried these countermeasures (including the hospital ship but that’s a different story), and considering that the missile was launched alone, the control computer, ordered several mid- and close-range AA systems to engage it. Needlessly to say, it was immediately “blown to smithereens”, with the systems immediately switching back to “standby” mode, awaiting further targets.

The Lakan fighters would make extensive use of their advantage in terms of energy and maximal speed, never closing within the 4-kilometer range of the Harriers (the effective range of AIM-9L AAM), with a single fighter, hellbent on destroying rhe C-130 heading after it while the second one would continue to engage the three harriers all by itself. It would nearly effortlessly defeat the enemy AIM-9’s, mainly due to them having to climb several kilometers to it’s altitude and due to the harriers’ being much slower- energy advantage means a lot in modern warfare for a very good reason… The fighter would climb, then turn around, launch it’s remaining AAM’s using both it’s own and the ships’ radar for guidance- this should nullify whatever flares and/or chaff the enemies might use by “slaving” the missile to the radar lock. The fighters would detect the radars thanks to their RWR’s and the fleet would launch several cruise missiles towards it’s intended location, programming the missiles to perform terminal target discrimination by themselves.

The cargo trucks would be harassed by a low-observability attack helicopters, the Lakans still suspicious of their intended targets. Due to it being night, and most of the radars busy with the fighters the detection of the helicopter would be a complicated affair. Even if there was a radar present, it’s extremely low RCS would mean detection a complicated effort.

Dealing with the frogmen, the ships would dispatch EOD divers armed with APS-like underwater rifles- although they do not have much training in underwater combat, they’d still have some- enough to get an upper hand against the wounded enemies especially. Their intention is to help them aboard the dinghy’s dispatched by the ships, which would get them to the ships which would get them to the MEDEVAC helicopters which would get them to the hospital ships. After all, ones has to reduce the amount of suffering if they’d be a civilized person!

The M270 “suddenly appearing” would attract the attention of the counterbattery radars, with the two fighters who have previously failed to kill gun crews being redirected to “do their fucking job or face guardhouse for a month”

OOC: I could always get behind some nukes… Would put my CRBN to good use…

Defected Russian Air Force Fighter

Postby Sons of Liberty » Sun Nov 27, 2022 1:35 pm

The Ultranationalist usage of the Kornet Anti-Tank Guided Missiles have been proven to be fairly effective more of them are to be given to the militas. The Militas avoided attempts of trying to move the ATGMs due to them given time until enemy armor response time. The Militas have complied to what the MEDEVAC's said and stopped firing. With The Enemy battery set up having them firing it has been detected by 1L219 Counterbattery Radars the radar operators have sent the coordinates to the Iskander Operators to fire on them.

More Militas have showed up with MT-LB with 9P149-Shturm-SM anti-tank variant there are not many of them some will be used on small scale offensives to regain captured territories. Even more they have upgraded their defenses using Kord Heavy Machineguns and 2B11 Mortars they are doing as much as damage as they can to give to time for the upcoming massive armored offensive.

The CH-5's Martel missile have seemingly failed the drone operators launched the missile as a last stand the loss of the drone and the missile was nothing to them Maxim ordered another CH-5 UAV to be deployed at any moment. The Next CH-5 deployment won't be just an outdated missile but armaments of AGM-114 Hellfires Ground Missiles, BVRAAM Meteor Missiles. Some questions from where do these drones come from? and who supplies them?

The Cargo Trucks have arrived the 'Truck Drivers' dropped off the containers to their designated areas such as the "UN Distribution stores" some people can be seen unloading medicine and.... Food.... clothes and other human necessities. The Freight ship have left so did the trucks headed back to Lisy Nos.

The Harriers having a hard time to lock on the Lakan Fighters but they still had them on their sight they have changed and started firing GAU-12 25mm Gatling Guns towards one of the harriers went off to pursuit the Lakan fighter trying to shoot down the C-130 He went off full throttle trying his best trying to aim his AAM missiles and firing his guns towards the lakan fighter but someone flew past him faster... It was a Sukhoi Su-30. The Sukhoi seems to be on the Ultranationalists side now expectation of the Russian Markings all over it the SU-30 went back and locked on the Lakan fighter firing his R-27 AAM missile towards it.

The GAZ Vodnik 1L121-E have left the scene expecting missiles to hit them it seems lady luck was on their side but not for long they have left the whole area..The Praying Mantis PMCs Frogmen seemingly appeared all in good shape 'Surrendering' there seems to be no weapons on them.

GAZ Vodnik 1L121-E Radars detected Two Fighters headed towards the MLRS Batteries this was quickly given to the Pantsir-S1 near them they relocated and awaiting for their arrival even the M270 MLRS are told not to fire on the current moment and told to change their position.

At The Moskovskaya Zastava Highway The Ultranationalist Armored Assault is proven to be victorious on the enemy pushing the Russian Army back further the victory was costly for both sides but for the Ultranationalist side they have gained access to the Moskovsky District The Ultranationalists are readying a massive scale offensive on the district this might be or will be the bloodiest offensive.

Rather surprised at this working (usually MEDEVAC vehicles are engaged because PMC’s are rarely following laws of war), the MEDEVAC column marches on, it’s officers even dropping several words of respect for their opponents as well as leaving behind some medical supplies for them as a sign of gratitude- the Marines always respect a honorable enemy, and what is a better way to show respect then to help out their wounded? On the open-frequency channels, the Lakans inquire from the ultranationalists if they’d like to have their wounded returned to the, or if the Lakans should keep them for the remainder of the conflict (of course if said wounded would like to return to their side)- this is yet again a mere show of gratitude, as nearly all of the wounded captured by Lakans and now treated aboard the hospital ship are in any condition but a fighting one- if given a rifle and sent out to the frontlines they could technically aim it down and fire, however no reasonable commander would even think of employing forces like this. This proposal has some deeper plans in for the Lakans- should the troops previously being captured get back in their units, it is likely for them to disseminate the treatment that they’ve received aboard the hospital ship and/or while in captivity, potentially encouraging defections- however the best Lakan gain from this is a reputational one- to take a soldier prisoner, treat them and then return them to their side free of charge is very likely to paint them in a better way…

The MEDEVAC column would subsequently arrive at the frontline units, receive the wounded aboard, pack up and head back to the beachhead, where the wounded, including the wounded militiamen (excluding healthy POW’s of course- they’ll be just rounded up and stuffed into some room with only one exit with a single LCpl to guard it) would be loaded aboard MEDEVAC helicopters (and cargo helicopters field-modified for MEDEVAC duties- they had all their armament removed and big red crosses painted on their sides), airlifting them to the hospital ship, where the wounded would arrive into the triage area, with some heading from there into emergency room immediately and some being merely stabilized- depending on their health conditions and side, first much more important that the latter. The ulranationalist POW’s would be handcuffed to beds to prevent them from doing anything bad- furthermore all of them would be searched before even boarding the medevac armor.

The abandoned Kornets would be now successfully captured by the advancing infantry, which would then be sent back to the beach and then to the command ships, where they’ll be carefully scrutinized and analyzed by the intelligence personnel- even a damaged launcher can tell one A LOT about the device’s unit, factory where it was made, how long did it spend in storage- etc,- specialists can “read” them like an open book…

The Shutrm-SM would prove itself a worthy opponent to the Marine standard light infantry armor- although due to a lot of defensive measures no vehicles would be destroyed (the 9M120-1 missile, while resistant to soft-kill APS can still be destroyed by the “XM-1206-ish” many active protection systems, whenever they’d employ the HE version of the warhead, it’d see far more effects, with the first shot’s shockwaves usually disabling most of the vehicles defensive systems, essentially “mission-killing” it- even if the subsequent shots would fail to pierce other defense mechanisms, the vehicle will still fall back for repairs. However, they will see use destroying the MULE-ish UGV’s, employed en masse by the marines in many ways- from fire support to the infantry to fetching supplies directly to the frontline units, they are large enough to warrant a missile launch and lack protection from anything stronger than a 12.7 MG. To counter this, marines would simply have MULEs travel in groups of two- should the first one be destroyed, the second one would be able to detect the enemy and, before the second launch, destroy the opponent. The IFV’s would also be reinforced by these “soldier’s little helpers”, usually traveling ahead of both infantry and vehicles, scouting out threats using it’s advanced sensor arrays and attacking gunfire on it’s own- after all these are robots, they don’t suck up hundreds of thousands of N$ if they’re heavily wounded…

The Kord MG and the 2B11 would see far more limited effectiveness- while the 12.7 mm, if set up correctly, would allow some suppressive fire capabilities against the infantry and be a good counter against past-gen light armor, it’s use against a marine combined arms force would rarely end well for the operator, in the end it is hardly a “wonder-weapon”- while several marine offensives may be slowed down by suppressive fire, in the end it is the question of the armored units effectively suppressing or destroying the MG and allowing the infantry to move on.

The mine treat after several gruesome deaths and several vehicles being heavily damaged (with these vehicles usually being supply trucks- but due to them being mine-protected and not having the driver sit atop the engine usually resulting in wounds for the driver and the passengers), all vehicle columns are now “spearheaded” by a counter-mine MULE, which will provide them with an effective counter to nearly all types of AT mines, barring extremely rare ones but they’re essentially unmanned RPG-26’s and can be defended by the vehicles.

The CH-5 is again immediately detected, however this time the fighters have been reinforced by all of the planes standing ready on the deck- 8 more aircraft “join the fray”. Yet again the AEGIS lumps several of it’s SAM’s at the CH-5, intending to either take it down or force it to g defensive, which would bleed it off it’s energy and enable the fighters an easy shot. The AGM-114’s are immediately identified- they’re AT missiles and immediately sound laser warnings aboard the targeted warships, most of which, through combined use of a multi-layered mid to close range defense systems intercept nearly all of the missiles, with but a single one getting through. It’s yield is nowhere near enough to even effectively damage the smallest of the ships in the fleet (barring patrol boats and smaller craft but they’re not in the bay for this very reason)- the Assimilator, possessing the smallest amount of close-in weapons systems relative to it’s size is hit, with the Hellfire successfully starting a fire in one of the ship’s recreational facilities- before the damage control party in form of two sailors and one fire extinguisher get it under control, the fire destroys several of the retro arcade machines in the ship’s galley. Their eternal sacrifice will forever be remembered by the crew, who will do everything within their power to avenge the losses of Missile Command 1980 and, especially troubling, one of the last remaining 1976 Midway Sea Wolf… Of the hellfires destroyed, what remains of them can be recovered by the EOD teams, are to be defused and sent to the intelligence center for “security reasons”.

The Lakan Naval Intelligence will send several of it’s Russian national agents towards the distribution stores, where they are to blend in with the crowds, receive the necessities and then report back to the HQ.

Considering the distance (and the relatively lackluster RoF of the GAU-12), the Harriers would be unable to secure a gun kill on the fighters which would try to disengage, fulfilling its task of driving most of the enemy forces away from the C-130 and buying time for it’s leader (which has disengaged and chased after the C-130)- it would trade it’s altitude for speed, going full afterburner towards the cover of the fleet’s AA/AD systems and it’s 8 “friends”, some of whom would begin to launch their AIM-260’s at the targets- both of the harriers engaging the single fighter and the one trying to chase down the other one.

The Su-30 was a different story from the Harriers- while they were a ground attack aircraft with an AA capability, the Su-30SM2 was a 4++ gen fighter-interceptor, more than capable of fighting a toe-to-toe engagement with the Lakan jet, which would immediately break away, counter launch it’s last remaining AIM-260 (leaving it with a single AIM-9X) and notch, forcing the R-27 into unsuitable AoA’s in exchange for bleeding it’s own speed, while swearing and cursing over the radio, believing this to be a misunderstanding between himself and the Russian, trying to explain to them that he is shooting at the wrong target and that the C-130 has a “different RCS suka ti yebannaya”. The fleet, busy with defending against the CH-5 and the Iskanders (both of which would be again successfully intercepted because of the proximity of the battery to the fleet and the bad trajectory), would only be able to provide networking assistance in form of data links for the 4 of the 8 fighters redirected to help the previously mentioned fighters and maybe some sporadic lock-one by a fire control system- which should force the Su-30 to notch themselves (which it would have to do anyways considering that he wil, be engaged by an AIM-260). The CH-5’s Meteors would not do as good- it’s not equipped with a fire control radar of it’s own and the missiles will have to use their own array to find targets beyond visual range and engage them- which is possible but is not a really good idea considering that said radars are much easier to ja, and that this type of lock will provide an extremely early warning ti the engaged aircraft unlike the TWS mode used by the fighters.

The EOD divers, understanding that they’d be done should they engage in a hand to hand combat, try to hold the PMC’s at a gunpoint, ordering them to surface, there they’ll be assisted by a far heavily armed EOD robots to get to the ships- considering that your usual frogman is well-trained in armed and unarmed hand tk hand combat, no sensible sailor or marine would try to advance on them without several of their colleagues keeping the target at a gunpoint. You can truly never be too save…

The 9K114 Shturm have been proven to be a militamans worth. Twenty of them have arrived armed with 9M114F Thermobaric warheads some of them left to upgrade their armaments. Because the issue was they couldn't destroy any armored vehicles. More Kord Machineguns and other lighter machineguns have appeared. Milita Ultranationalists have gotten KSVK 12.7 anti-materiel rifles and SV-98 Sniper Rifles on their hands most of the militas are hunters so this is their lucky days the MULE UGV's and Infantry are now named "Urban Rabbits" The Militas have learned the enemy tactic of using MULES to compromise their position The Militas avoided using heavy machineguns and started using the KSVK anti-materiel rifles on them.

What's surprising... Ultranationalist TOW Humvees they are rarely seen on the frontlines one of the past freight ships had containers with US-Made equipment. The BGM-71 TOW Humvees placed in strategic locations viewing enemy movements and firing upon them. M29 mortar have been given to the Militas not much of a weapon but atleast it kills.

The CH-5 using it's flares managed to deflect some of the SAM missiles it made another missile run on the fleet after this it made another final missile run before being hit on the back by the AEGIS SAM missiles it didn't blow up entirely the UAV Operators decided to ram the UAV on a random ship. Another UAV will be deployed it won't be used for attacking. The SAGEM Crecerelle reconnaissance UAV will make hourly observations around the frontline any chance of it being destroyed another will appear.

The Harriers went full throttle to catch up on the Lakan Fighters and began firing their AIM-9 Sidewinder on the very right moment when there is a lock on. The SUu-30 seemingly ignored whatever the Lakan pilot said he kept on him the jet fighter fired his flares and manuvered the AIM-260 Missile quickly turning back on the enemy fighter he fired R-77 BVRAAM Missile following with GSh-301 gunfire on the enemy fighter. The C-130 pressing hard on it's flares it was hit on of it's four engines knocking one out it is just One Kilometre till it reaches the Finnish border. Three Sukhoi Su-30's appeared they look russian but they aren't on the russian goverment side someone "Tipped Them off" The Su-30 in the middle is a Su-30SM2 model they told the Lakan fighters to disengage and retreat.

The Lakan Agents received free relief packages it just contained first aid kits, canned food, water bottles. The Praying Mantis frogmen have willingly agreed to follow their commands and so they did.

Thunderbird soldiers in Russia who have not seen many enemies or conflict were just listening to the world cup radio while smoking cigars and loading their guns.

Sam:"Was haben wir hier schon wieder gemacht, Todd?"
(What were we doing here again Todd?)

Hellbent on preventing the war crimes especially being committed by their sides, the fleet dispatches a small fleet of four 49m-class fact attack craft, two sloops of war- the HMSoW Dragon and HMSoW Harph (Yan Nyein Aung-class submarine chaser-likes) and as a flagship we again see the now known to us Visby-class corvette HMS Thunderchild! Their job to to prevent the delivery of chemical weapons by all means necessary- considering the mutual benefits from rules of war being somewhat respected, they are hellbent on keeping it that way even if that would end up in green on blue fire. The small fleet would harass the Petroli ships, reportedly ordering them to stop, eventually resorting to bumping the enemy ships (something their sturdy hulls have been built for), trying to force them out of the area.

Eventually after, comically enough, essentially beginning to run out of the supplied Mules, the Army has to assist the marines in supplying them with armed XM1219 MULE’s which will now always escort their unarmed robotic counterparts around. Your average Army XM1219 is somewhat different from the amphibious Marine variant, trading the amphibious capability for more armor, better sensors and enhanced networking capabilities, which should allow them to increase their survivability. Moreover, Army would bring along the rest of their robots, including another “Mule”- the LS3 Mule (because apparently they couldn’t think of a different name)- this time a 4-legged machine featuring increased cross-country capabilities, and looking like a robotic donkey! With the increased protection, the MULES should now suffer less casualties, furthermore, the arriving Army units in forms of two mechanized infantry brigades will try their best to stabilize the frontline and establish a protective perimeter to prevent the enemy attacks on the final line of cargo delivery. Furthermore, XM1219-based ARV’s would help recover destroyed robots further reducing the losses. In sense, the increased sensors of the XM1219’s should allow them to detect the enemy snipers by the glancing of their scopes (if they’re using the types of scopes that do produce this side effect)- and even if this fails, after the enemy will take the first shot, the rest of the column will now know where he is and will attack them with the full ferocity of their single M240 7.62 MG and four HE-tipped ATGM’s.

The thermobaric weapons would see limited effectiveness when used against armor- it would only deal some burn damage to the outer parts of the vehicle, keeping most of the inner electronics intact due to a reduced amount of explosive impact compared to HE warheads- and because of the infantry exposing themselves only after the enemy firing positions would be successfully suppressed by manned armor and overrun by unmanned armor, they’d rarely be exposed for such attacks and when they would- the Lakan medical facilities were well equipped to treat even the highest levels of burns, which would ensure a suitable level of mortality. Not that they don’t have charred barely alive vet which will now eat through hundreds of thousands of government money over the course of several decades but a life saved is a life saved!. Considering the respect shown by all participating sides for the protection of the Red Cross, a Lakan non-military medical organization- the Noble Red Cross, would petition the ultranationalists to establish a hospital at their territory. The NRC is an internationally renowned organization for never leaking any potential intel to the Lakans, to the point of them being in direct confrontation with the armed forces multiple times due to their devotion to neutrality and prevention and reducing of suffering. NRC operates it’s own independent small fleet of hospital ships and aircraft. Army, Navy and Marine MEDEVAC helicopters will now return to airlifting wounded from the frontlines- to clearly show anyone that they’re indeed medical, they’re not painted white with red stripes, carry lunenberg lenses to artificially increase their RCS (the enemy radar operators would obviously see that when a helicopter they’re tracking has an RCS of a B-52 something isn’t adding up here), and finally they’re going to be painted in colors reflecting in infrared specter and specters usually used by NVD’s. A final measure of protection would be always staffing in some of the wounded POW’s, and making sure that all enemy troops are aware of that- even if ordered to shoot, they may disobey the order knowing that somewhere in there is their wounded and suffering comrade flying to get a life-saving procedure… Of course, because of the helicopters being much faster than the armored vics, even more patients will get the treatment they need in the “golden hour”, which means more POW’s and MANY more benefits to pay! Yay!

TOW Humvees were always a half-assed replacement intended to give real life US forces the AT capability that they desperately needed… Unlike the Shturn-SM, which possesses some medium level of protection and cannot be destroyed by most infantry weapons, Humvees even in their best-armored versions are slow, large, wide targets with an abysmal level of protection which would function perfectly as an unarmored infantry transport vehicle but not as an armored one- they’re easy targets for nearly anything including light infantry (who can easily destroy Humvees with their Carl Gustav recoilless rifles or Spike ATGM’s)- employing them in an urban combat is an even worse idea, which should backfire spectacularly, especially if the advancing infantry were to capture the Humvees, which would then be scrutinized by the intelligence.

By this point, they should have enough evidence of western equipment being used by the Ultranationalists to make a point towards their NATO counterparts pointing them to an obvious case of military equipment being leaked. If their counterparts decide to “brush it under the rug”, they’ll threaten to leak the information to the mass media, who will “eat them alive”- this can become a political scandal which would make Watergate look like a child’s play- its one thing when a couple of ATGM’s fall into wrong hands and a completely different story when armored vehicles do it.

The CH-5 would be effortlessly ripped apart by the warship’s 30-mm Goalkeeper terminal-stage CIWS- irs traveling far too slow and in a trajectory far too predictable to even make it close to the target- it’s remains would be later on attempted to be recovered and,- you’ve guessed it,- studied by the intelligence. At this point they probably have enough foreign-supplied stuff to make a small museum!

((Harriers should not be able to catch up with supersonic Aircraft I’ll write it off as them engaging it after merging post-launch))
Yet again the energy would be on the side of the defending Lakan fighters- energy and the fact that they’ll constantly have to fly defensive to even have a chance at defeating the constant stream of SAM’s from the fleet- while lobbing missile after missile at the evading enemy would sound stupid, it works- of all the AIM-9’s only a single one is able to secure a hit with the fighter- while the pilot will attempt to limp back to the carrier, eventually he’ll ditch the aircraft, eject and be rescued by a helicopter. The cold waters of the Baltic Sea weren’t too kind of him and it’s likely that he’ll spend the next few months healing from pneumonia he caught while having a little swim. A mission kill for sure! The rest of the planes would continually the Su-30’s and Harriers’ warnings- due to their previous failure to seek and suppress the battery, the pilots fear the retribution for another failure- they would launch their remaining AIM-260’s, guiding them in using the fleet’s radars with no emissions from their own radars- this should allow them to remain undetected by the harriers until the terminal stage of the missile’s flight path, giving the enemy as few time as possible to defend and reducing the chance of a successful evasion. The R-77 would be “barely” defeated, with the Lakan fighter being saved by it’s jamming systems, making the proximity fuse detonate mere seconds earlier. ((Voiding canon fire because R-77’s minimal firing range is probably larger than Gsh-301’s effective range and cannons are not used in BVR aircraft combat))- unlike the previous pilot, which has tucked tails and ran, this one is comically determined to do what he was told- after defeating the R-77 he would drop down, exchanging energy for speed to increase the closing distance with the Su-30 (and to have the ground clutter give some cover to him from enemy radar- it won’t be much but it will be something, maybe it will reduce the effective range or something)- should the Russian commit to dogfight then it will be likely a fight of pilot’s abilities rather than aircraft’s- and should he not then he’ll have a shot at retreating. The C-130 is not even viewed as a threat anymore- the Finns will likely intern it for the rest of the war- they’re a neutral power and interning units of participating sides is a fairly common thing to do. Finally, it’s essentially mission killed- the damage to the airframe is sufficient to render it sitting at repair bay for months, of course, they could always “half-ass” it back to a flying condition but that would be EXTREMELY dangerous and a disaster waiting to happen.

The Naval intelligence agents are satisfied with their observations for now but will continue to monitor the situation, coming to the trucks from time to time to receive new portions (as any needing local would), trying to chat up with the UN personnel and have some small talk with them.

The PMC’s are searched with the aforementioned security measures, have all of their possessions taken away and given “new clothes” (prison robes), being transported to the fleet’s prison ship- the HMAS (Axillary ship) Margay- although the security measures aboard resemble a SUPERMAX prison, the living conditions are measurable. Furthermore, the
POW’s are given all of their freedoms and protections as per international law- why wouldn’t they? The PMC’s might be surprised at that treatment- usually PMC personnel are not granted protection as lawful personnel and are oofed at the spot…

The Milita Snipers countered the issue of their position being exposed by their scopes using cloth pieces or camouflaging the entire rifle and revealing it on the right moment somehow the method seems to be popular amongst the snipers. They have encountered new mules the snipers using the KSVK with 12.7×99 mm NATO (. 50BMG) Rounds. A new "sniper rifle" appeared the anti-materiel NTW-20 rifle their presence is not widely seen. To solve the XM1219 issue the Ultranationalist milita started using SPG-9s mounted unto pickup trucks their tactic is to shoot and scoot.

The Thermobaric Idea was scrapped due to incapability of penetrating enemy armor even though it's still present and used on enemy infantry as for the Anti-Tank Missiles they upgraded them to 9M114M2 Shturm with more heavier 7.4 kg (16 lb) warhead penetrating 600–650 mm, longer 7 km (4.3 mi) range they could be able to cause damage. The Ultranationalists have gained great interest on the Shturms they have been tinkering and playing with the missiles expecting to make newer versions.

Maxim Kastov And "A Random Man" had a talk about a Lakan non-military medical organization called the Noble Red Cross the man told him he will keep an eye on them. Maxim decided to agree with the LRC and gave them a building in the Admiralteysky District he directly restricted No Weapons allowed no bringing Lakan Personnel to the hospital. The Humvees we're not a big loss only a couple we're deployed the Idea of the TOW Humvees was bad there deployment is limited. The NATO representatives surprised about this one of the Polish Representatives confessed about "Certain People" who are not NATO Members who have access to military stockpiles of any NATO nation and he said that if you managed to cut off their access they simply work with the Industries that make the weapons. There is no stopping them.

The UN Distribution stores are working very well..... Nothing out of the ordinary.

The Two Praying Mantis PMC Frogmen squads we're taken into a prisoner ship... Two Squads.... But where are the other two? The Inner Circle Frogmen... They got to the Kotlin Island they couldn't swim underwater due to the enemies sonar they we'rent far away managing to land and finding a safehouse awaiting further orders by Mikhail.

The Harriers managed to secure a kill after times of trying unfortunately for them one of them didn't have enough time to react on the incoming missile he was hit on his engine and was going down he ejected landing on friendly territory the other harrier took notice of this and hit his flares knowing he will be shot down he decided to disengage and leave. The Su-30 squadron gave the Lakan fighter a verbal warning to leave. The Su-30SM And The Two Su-30 Fighter Jets boxing the Lakan fighter flashing their BVRAAM Missiles telling him to leave.

SPG-9’s with their inferior ballistics (to a rifle unit that is), low muzzle velocity and VERY bright muzzle flashes always indicating whenever a shot was taken, it’d prove even less effective against the XM1219’s who with their increased combat reaction time and tactical visibility much superior to your usual infantryman would often detect and engage the SPG-9’s even before the first shot, usually lasing it for friendly artillery or using their thermobaric-tipped ATGM’s against it- depending on the range and wether or not they’d have the first shot and if the enemy was in the cover. Comically enough, the SPG-9-armed technicals were something XM1219’s were originally considered to be unfit to fight against back in their infancy in 2007, yet time and time again they’ve proved themselves worthy of their choice. The camouflaging methods for snipers would simply delay the response from the rest of the robots- after the first shot, all of the machines would immediately get a more or less direct reading on the sniper’s position and either launch a pair of thermobaric missiles at it or lasing the target if the enemy was in a more well-defended area. Moreover, now after engaging the sniper, the robots would call for backup in form of a squad or two of Army motorized infantry in their APC’s, who would encircle the area and, keeping the sniper suppressed, move in to try and capture or terminate them. This is done to either prevent the snipers from fleeing and striking again and,- you’ve guessed it,- to help the Intelligence in gathering the evidence. At this point the P6M’s have been mostly flying in and out transporting tons upon tons of scrap metal to continental Laka.

9M114M2’s would not do much of a difference- the ATGM being a cumulative one would be unable to produce the same explosive wave as the HE missiles, and the speed wouldn’t help it much- the APS’s systems’ reaction times would still be more then sufficient to destroy it, rendering it’s penetrating damage negligible. Even if it would hit, say, if the vehicle attacked would be damaged, it’s lack of a tandem warhead ((I think it lacks one, correct me here if I’m wrong)) would make it extremely vulnerable to both ERA’s and NERA’s, which are your average Lakan light armor’s “last defenses”. In cases of medium and heavy armor, they’d have to pierce through combined armor too- so it would suffice to say that their use would yield limited results.

The NRC would establish a hospital, assisted by one of their hospital ships, which although smaller than the Navy one, should neither the less reduce the amount of illnesses amongst the locals and the enemy troops by a large margin. The problem with NRC is that they’re, although apolitical, VERY religious, using nearly every opportunity to do missionary work for the Catholic Church. Although if pressured to, they’d stop, the missionary work should not do this much damage from a political perspective, however their mere presence might. While the ultranationalists teach their populace of the west’s ignorance and hatred of the Russian people, the sheer fact that a western nation would help those with whom they are in direct armed confrontation as well as the humane treatment received by their people who have been taken prisoner and now were returned might make some of them reconsider the truth of their ideology…

The Interpol would then turn to the NATO members whose military supplies have been confirmed to be used in the armed conflict and severely pressure them to strengthen their exports control measures, both by official confidential diplomatic channels and by giving some government officials a few bribes, politely asking them to do their job with a little more vigilance and then receiving some more. Considering the Interpol being funded partially from the nearly bottomless Crown, they should be able to offer them relatively the same amount of money as the PM’s- and, well, if they’d like more? The local political opposition’s press would certainly be interested if some stories regarding the government corruption were to suddenly appear in a sealed envelope in their post… The MIC would receive the same “treatment”- although in their case with them being, mostly, a company largely depending on stocks, they should be even easier to persuade- they have nearly concrete evidence of under-the-carpet arms sales taking place- and should the general populace catch wind of this, their stock will severely fall- something that the investors would certainly prefer not happening, shouldn’t they?

The intelligence agents are then ordered to blend into the local populace using their legends, one of them is to develop a closer relationship with the UN mission- he’d help them fix their trucks, do some small errands for them- after all it’s fairly common for the local civilians to do this, considering the usual unemployment occurring in cases of military conflicts in and near urban areas.

((The prison ship will be followed on once you’ll reply to me in discord))

The fighter would refuse disengaging, using the ground for cover and it’s superior subsonic roll and pitch to the Su-30’s to try and use the reduced distances to his advantage, positioning himself between the two fighters- while the Su-30’s carry modern IFF’s, your usual RoE’s would forbid launchin missiles in this situation in fears of blue or blue fire. Theoretically nothing is stopping the Russians from firing, but that would be dangerous… The remaining fighters would stream to the defense of their comrade, while the fleet would continuously lob SAM after SAM at the three aircraft, without fears of damaging their ally because it’s worth it and because IFF would reduce the chance of it actually hitting the friendly.

The Chinese Ministry of Defense is announcing its invasion of the Russian Federation starting right this second. We are currently preparing the Oriental Sword battalion to drive through the Ural Mountains and into Moscow. When these objectives are complete, the 47th Tank Battalion, armed with 200,000 men and 500 Type 99 A tanks will drive through Moscow towards St Petersburg. Any and all foriegn troops in the area will be fired on by over 500 Dongfeng 26 IRBM missiles of the 1st brigade. The Chinese Navy will be stationed in Finland blockading any and all british ships. If anybody tries to talk, we fire. But now? Let it all begin

OOC: I checked. It does have Tandem charges

The Shturms have gotten an upgrade one of the Ultranationalists engineers created a new missile adding a bit more tandem charges and increasing the range up to ten kilometres it is called the 9M114M2-2 the missiles are in testing some are given to the militas. The SPG-9's we're proven to be bad the militas decided to use RPG-7s with PG-7VR Warheads againsts the MULEs and other light armor vehicles still the technical SPG-9s are present being used against personnel and vehicles. The Snipers countering the issue of being incircled by enemies they started making backdoors and tunnels to escape they fire the first shot and run. The Ultranationalists snipers started making nests any movement from the enemy front is quickly dealt the nests are relocated every hour to avoid being compromised.

The Ultranationalist Militas set new traps such as booby trapping valuables any attempts of removing the item will cause the hidden explosives to go off instantly. The NATO Members not knowing what is going on and why are the Interpol are here they provided evidence of no exports leaving their military stockpiles. The Military Industrial complexes have showed their ledgers to the Interpol showing no Non-Govermental Organisations buying such weapons execept the security companies buying handguns and body armor.

France, Lyon, Interpol Headquarters.
Three unmarked white trucks arrived to the Headquarters they sat there for three minutes until the backdoors opened five armed men on each truck they are wearing Orange or Black Chem Agent suits with PP-19 Bizon submachine guns they began shooting anyone that is in their line of sights they barged in and the massacre lasted for twenty five minutes until the French Police arrived with GIGN squads barging into the building the firefight ensued with both sides for three minutes until a Chemical VX Nerve agents exploded on the eastern side it ended with a French Success most of the "Unknown Attackers" are dead three of them arrested.

OOC: Got it, although it still wouldn’t change much- if you’d like to have an ability to reliably kill heavy armor with this protection you’ll need kinetic energy kill missiles and none of these have been produced because reasons. Hell even IC-wise Lakan version of the CKEM sees extremely limited use for a very good reason- the fear of it falling into wrong hands and because it’s expensive.
Minediamonds wrote:OOC: Question. are the ultra-nationalist anti-semites?

OOC: I am not an OP or the thread but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were- Russian nationalism usually goes toe to toe with antisemitism, and I doubt that the ultranationalists wouldn’t follow up on it here.
IC:
The continued usage of the SPG-9 would only lead to more casualties- it cannot be effectively used against nearly anything because, yet again, it lacks modern ranging systems and cannot be effectively employed against nearly any target, especially in urban environments- considering the infantry usually being assisted by robots or armor, the situation would remain relatively the same with the attacks rarely ending up dealing any damage to the troops at all. The fast development of a new missile as well as it’s issuing to the units without it undergoing proper testing procedures would likely result in some problems for it’s usage, mainly maintenance and reliability related ones- unlike some of the weapons developed this fast such as the GBU-28, the missile will have to have most of it’s systems updated, which considering the swiftness of the development would likely result in failures. The increase in range would not mean much for an urban warfare type of situation because of the ranges here rarely exceeding two or three kilometers- the buildings provide much cover from direct fire.

The Lakans would “solve” the tunnel problems by organizing several small armed robots squads into special “tunnel rats” units, equipping them with EOD disposal robots, short-barreled SMG’s and the rest of the equipment necessary to combat the threat of such targets. However, usually they’ll just shoot a man-portable RPO-A Shmel-like flamethrower into the hole strapping it to a small EOD robot and sending it to it’s doom. In such confined spaces the Shmel would be devastating- it spreads through air by aerosol, the force of the explosion pushing unignited aerosol further before it would ignite too- considering the areas which the snipers would have to cover using tunnels to get to safety, it is unlikely that they’d be able to steer clear of the explosion. Even so, they’ll still have to deal with the lack of oxygen- the fire would burn away most of it in the tunnel- and for some time, before the air from outside would equalize the pressure, the escaping sniper would have to deal with it- although oxygen deprivation would not be as disastrous for one as sonars, it would still hamper ones ability to fight, especially considering that the tunnel rat-like-units would much prefer to send a modified EOD robot with belt-fed 9mm MG (because reasons- it was developed as a joke but eventually became optional armament for such robots- sometimes they’ll also be equipped with a jet flamethrower. Cunningly enough, these robots will try to capture the sniper or even drag their charred remains away from the tunnels to the waiting infantry who would then call in a chopper to airlift them back to the hospital ship, which would move closer to the shore- close enough for the enemies to take a shot if they’d like it, but not close enough for it to be accidentally targeted alongside legitimate targets.

The problem of enemy mining all valuables would be dealt by a combination of things- K-9 units and EOD robots, with the fist one usually being tasked with checking the valuables for being safe and the second ones defusing it. Because of the military intelligence already having their proof, they have no more need to gain more evidence- thus defusal would often be done by exploding breaching charges near the ordnance. Small charges such as antipersonnel mines which would actually be undetected would usually be dealt with by a swift airlift back to the hospital ship, where an immediate operation would help to prevent the wound from getting worse. Considering the fact that soldiers loosing their limbs is nothing new, all of them would eventually be provided with prosthetics- God bless the wonders of the modern medicine!

An attack on the Interpol was, politically and militarily, a gift for both the Lakan branch of Interpol and the Military Intelligence. By comparing the VX gas used in the attack with the gas previously seized from the trucks as well as further analyzing the information including info gained before the active phase of the conflict, they’d gain concrete proof of the participation of the Praying Mantis in the conflict- an evidence they’d compile into a nice presentation including military trophies, a specially made documentary, pamphlets, etc. They’d then invite the ambassadors of all of the NATO members as well as several nations integral to the Interpol or whose citizens have been killed in the attack (as well as some journalists) to a (well-guarded and protected) press conference, where the Queen herself would explain the situation and present the evidence. This time there is no turning back. Most of the materials would then be released to public, with the state-funded bot farms dissenting it over the internet, ensuring that the story would make it’s way to both independent journalists and “mainstream” journalists supporting political opponents. The Lakan “big game” here? To get the West to intervene into the situation, providing either direct or indirect assistance. Should they ignore it or try to “brush it under the rug”, it is likely for the opposition to “cash in” on the situation, seeking revenge for the dead. It’s Realpolitik, as hated as the concept was by the Lakan political elite…

The Militas stopped using SPG-9's after seeing their inadequate ability they switched to new supplied The RGW-90 HH-T with tandem (dual) warhead for improved effectiveness against the targets protected by ERA. It can defeat up to 600 mm of steel armor behind the ERA unit. It also features the dual-mode (HEAT/HESH) options. Other versions of it are in the milita frontline. The Shtrum have been proving themselves very capable more have appeared the militas camouflaged them for ambushes and other small scale offensives. The 9M114M2-2 Shtrum missiles passing the test the Ultranationalists began producing them there are now a small volumes of them distributed to the frontlines now Nicknamed the "Vampir".

The Ultranationalist Milita Snipers started using destroyed buildings and using dummy snipers with fake flashy scopes to fool the enemy that they are there. The Snipers now fighting with squadrons ready to ambush the encircling teams from high advantages. The Ultranationalist Milita General Viktor kirilov initated a medium scale offensive to make the enemy supply lines thin and diffcult. The Offensive will involve two battalions. It still has not begun yet the general is awaiting approval from Maxim. Even Though a brutal small offensive is commencing in the western frontline Inside of the Vasileostrovsky District. Militas started firing D-20 artillery following with Loitering Muntion bombings Shtrums causing havoc to enemy armor. The Militamen armed with modern weapons began taking small grounds the offensive ends until the Shkola №31 School is captured.

Petrogradsky District.
The Ultranationalists 12th Brigade made a Major breakthrough The forces have captured artillery pieces from the military museum cutting off The Russian Main Forces in the Peter and Paul Fortress even more abandoned Russian Military equipment are found. Russian Forces are coming from the Grenadier bridge with Tanks and Armored Vehicles. The Ultranationalists have gotten their hands on a T-14 Armata Tank they found about ten of them they are not going to be used and still they found Kurganets-25 Infantry Fighting Vehicles fifteen of them found. This is the best captured equipment for the Ultranationalists.

Press Conference.
The NATO Ambassadors impressed by the evidence one of the German NATO ambassador spoke in the microphone.
"Hold on? Praying Mantis Private Military Contractors? There is no record of them. We don't know their headquarters or who is their leader? I have heard rumor but that is just a rumor. We don't know exactly who they are."
The France NATO ambassador spoke too.
" We have done our investigations. The Three men we captured that who we're involved in the Interpol massacre are NOT Praying Mantis Personnel there is no proof of them being their PMCs.. The French Goverment have done searches on these men. They have no background. No Family. They are just Ghosts... The French Goverment presumes another Organization is controlling them."
The Norwegian General Secretary of NATO have spoken.
"How do you know that the Chemical Nerve Agents are connected to those you seized maybe some other terrorist organization is trying to use it because it's powerful? We have done thorough investigations on our military stockpiles there seems to be things missing we haven't decided yet but we will keep you updated on what we decide."

The PMC frogmen would see quite an opportunity- the prison ship was for all intents and purposes attached to the flotilla of small minesweepers “flagshipped” by a modernized Anchar-class BPK superdestroyer- a task force busy with demining ops and/or escorting some of the supply ships to and from the frontline. From time to time, they’d stop, form a defensive perimeter around the prison ship and deploy EOD divers who’s disable the mines and then move on. During this time only several MPK’sdirectly escorting the prison ship would turn off it’s sonar to ensure the divers’ safe work. However, it wouldn’t be this simple- the rest of the fleet would form sonar picket formation providing sonar screening, furthermore, their active sonar might be able to detect the approaching frogmen. To even get towards the ship, they’d have to act quick, silent and be ready for the situation to immediately change. It is unknown what are the armaments of prison guards aboard the ship, hell- even information about the amount of POW’s held aboard is unknown, as some of them are reportedly kept either aboard the carrier which has it’s own jail or aboard the Assimilator. It is a game of gamble… Gamble with death.

Considering the fact that the RGW-90 was intended as a means to destroy lightly armored vehicles, and that despite increased penetration it’s rounds would still often be stopped by a hard-kill APS- to reliably get through them one would have to go even faster- to hypersonic kinetic kill ATGM’s, who’d see fairly limited success in city due to their need for some distance to gain the necessary speed- something urban combat may not provide them with. Even when they would get through hard-kill APS, much like tandem warhead ATGM’s they’d still have the issue of defeating the vehicle’s electric armor (some light armored vehicles use it as a secondary hard-kill APS), NERA and ERA, the former being under the latter for additional protection. Finally, nearly all heavily armored vehicles would be equipped with combined armor and other protective measures, making disabling them an even harder task- one 152-armed tank would successfully “tank” 21 hit from different AT systems before said systems eventually being suppressed and the vehicle being evacuated by an ARV. Theoretically, the US Army CKEM could be of use here- but it’s not in service, and even if it was acquiring it would be much harder then the TOW Humvee. Much, much harder…
The introduction of the locally produced missile should make the situation worse. There are no industrial facilities under control of the nationalists which have been able to produce such complicated technology as a modern ATGM- even if there was one the issues with electricity (which was targeted in the initial Lakan missile attack) and logistics would be an issue- some make electronics, some- high quality steel, some- produce explosive materials, etc- something which the ultranationalists lack. Essentially the only choice for them is to “field-modify” the existing ATGM’s in artisanal conditions, which would result in a VERY, VERY low quality of products due to the lack of quality control (and inability to do quality control in such situations). Developing even a modification of an existing weapon takes years, and having this done in weeks if not days would result in a further reduction in quality…

Shturms’ camouflage would not change that much- although employing modern camouflage methods such as the Nakidka would certainly lower their chance of being detected first, in the end after the first shot the Lakan units would still get an immediate reading of the location of the enemy and thus a firing solution due to networking between different units. Visual camouflage would do little work- they rely on robotic detection with systems that have reaction speeds exceeding human ones’ by thousands and can see in specters the human eye cannot- your average grunt’s job is a more or less simple one- going where the command tells them to with machines traveling in front and behind him, telling him where he is likely to be shot from and when, telling him where to go on a more tactical level and what to do… Quire ironic how this was displays that the future of warfare is a warfare centered around robots…
The Shturm’s would do rather badly on the offensive- while the hit-and-run tactic employed on the defensive would give them a chance at a successful retreat, actually forcing the enemy out of the positions would be a completely different story- Lakan defensive positions would force the enemy to reveal themselves to get a LOS towards them- and while concealing oneself might work when one is not moving, the moment automatic surveillance systems scattered around captured positions would detect anything, the AT measures would immediately know that something is off. They’d also never employ a single AT measure- even if a single XM1219 or an IFV or something would be disabled, there’d be systems to back it up- an infantryman with an ATGM or another XM1219 (they never travel alone and “always bring a friend”, working in pairs).

The robots would usually ignore the dummy snipers, their thermal imaging cameras helping them to tell a human from a mannequin. When (or if) the snipers would start using heated mannequins they’d simply destroy them using their MG’s and have the UAV check the damages for any signs of actual remains or signs that the destroyed target was human then move on.

The Lakans would use the counteroffensive, employing the defense in depth tactic by slowly retreating from the captured territory, forcing the ultranationalists to concentrate their assets in support of the attack, all while concentrating Army units, initiating their counteroffensive on areas where the enemy units would be moved from in support of the attack. Because of their supplies being done mostly by unmanned and disposable vehicles (even their trucks are unmanned- to cut costs and concentrate manpower where they’ll be needed the most. The issue of loitering munitions would be dealt with both by APS’s (which have completely no problem destroying loitering munitions and, while a near detonation of such a warhead would render the vehicle essentially blind, it’ll still be back in action after some time in repair bay on the beach) and the XM1219’s, whose sheer amount and advanced tracking features would allow them to intercept loitering munitions with their MG’s or, in cases of cannon-armed vehicles, variable fuse shells for their Bushmasters. Auto canon-armed vehicles themselves could probably do some of this work- all thanks to their capability to track and engage slow-flying targets and AHEAD-ish shells. D-20 cannons should prove disastrous- they’re hellishly outdated, have slow firing rate, and it takes an awful lot of time for them to pack up, get attached to a truck and leave- more then enough time for both the field arty on the beach and the Assimilator in the bay to get a firing solution and decimate whoever was unfortunate enough to crew this thing. It belongs in a museum and should’ve stayed there…

The Queen would give the representative a somewhat ironic smile,- “Well, dear Sir, that would quite explain the failure of your government to prevent the fall of heavy munitions into your hands. According to multiple evidence, including but not limited to intercepted radio comms, call signs and voice comparison, used radio frequencies, hell, even the style of operations- it all would point towards the same organization. Hell, we could even bring you here some of their members. Now of course, under the Joint Friendship and Mutual Disarmament Agreement we would be limited in terms of… measures we could employ to gain the necessary information out of them unless,- she’d raise her finger,- unless they’d prove to be stateless. And, considering them lacking any personal documentation and them not showing up on the Interpol database, we can very much assure you that they are not,- she’d say, now smiling somewhat menacingly.
Well, sir,- she’d then respond to the French rep,- as you can clearly see, we’ve cross-examined the VX gas utilized in this attack and in the planned but feigned attack on our territory shortly before we’ve directly intervened. They indeed appear to come from the same source, judging by the presence of similar percentage of impurities. As it is, there is a very limited number of terrorist groups who could be in possession of this chemical weapon- and considering that yet again according to our intelligence none of them have expressed any signs of the attack being done by them, we can either conclude the attack being a retaliatory one for our investigation into the use of NATO-developed and NATO-built weapons, or that the attackers has somehow purchased the VX gas from the PMC’s that have previously attempted to use it against civilian population of multiple countries participating in the military operation and then decided to go postal. You can be the judge of what seems more likely.
Finally, she’d answer the Norwegian,- “Simple, sir- our experience in developing and ,- as much as I dread saying this,- using chemical weapons has allowed us to accumulate knowledge about the differences and ways to analyze the chemical agents determining where and when they were made. Although we cannot access the correct date at which the VX agent used in the attack was manufactured, as previously stated, the similar percentages and amounts of impurities present indicate the same source of both weapons. As much as I applaud your decision to finally admit the issues regarding the “sudden disappearances” of weapons from your storages, sir,- may you kindly explain to me do you believe that a 4.5 ton armored vehicle,- she’d point towards the captured Humvee,- can be stolen from a military depot without the military playing a part in it? And they don’t even stop there- we have evidence and remnants of munitions and armed vehicles from nearly half of the world fighting in this conflict on the oppressors’ side- Chinese drones, US- and UK-made ATGM’s, hell, there’s even US-made special ops boat there!- the evidence would be clearly visible,- pardon me my language, but how in a world do you loose a spec ops boat?!”

The T-15’s and T-14’s would be viewed as an immediate and direct threat needed to be destroyed. When not busy fighting arty duels with the enemy, the Lakan artillery would bombard the known vehicle depots with HE shells, intending to damage their sensible electronics, furthermore the fleet would initiate a third large-scale missile attack, this time mirroring the first one in intensity, intending to saturate the enemy air defenses before the whole remaining air fleet of 39 fighters, each loaded with GBU-53’s, a pair of BVRAAM’s and VRAAM’s would make their way in a bee line towards the depot where they’re stored, intending to destroy most of them in a single attack- all of it is to happen at the same time, with an utmost attention being directed towards catching all of them before they’ll move towards the fronts. A T-14 is a modern MBT able to fight any Marine units on a more or less equal footing- and if to prevent it from getting to the front they’ll have to missile the bridges connecting the Vasilievsky Ostrov then they’ll do it- there’s next to nothing stopping them now.

OOC: This isn't for any IC reason, but an OOC one. I'm just kind of burnt out with all of the war RP and want to start focusing on the civilian aspects of my country instead of the military. Laka in the below IC I've attached IRBS Orlando to your blockade, if you don't want it just make an IC post stating so, but for all intents and purposes you have control of it for all of your blockading purposes. It's a Cyclone-Class, if there is any input you need from me for something IC just TG me.

Withdrawal
Since in the end the conflict would be meaningless to the iRB due to being in a different universe, and with St. Petersburg seeming all but lost, the order came in from command. All IRBMF units are to leave St. Petersburg. However they did leave a parting gift, the IRBAF bombed all highway and rail connections between St. Petersburg and the rest of Russia. Aswell one final carpet bombing was done on the city.

All navy ships left except for one, IRBS Orlando, returned back home. The IRBS Orlando decided to join with the Lakan blockade to keep anybody looking to support the Ultranationalists out of St. Petersburg.

To make it seem like the IRB wasn't just abandoning Russia, they decided to attempt to strike up an arms deal. Russia would recive several NATO small arms, basically anything that wasn't already a secret to the Russians, and in exchange they would have to sign a pact stating that they would not use the weapons to harm any NATO members or allies.
