For some time now Laasmistan has been struggling against radical Islamist groups. The majority of the locals hate them, which means most of their recruits are taken from other nations. These groups are more or less a loose coalition of a bunch of smaller cells that operate similarly to the real world example of ISIS. They have also been responsible for countless terrorist attacks, both in Laasmistan and internationally. This has led the Laasmistan government to officially declare war on said groups due to believing said groups to be operating contrary to Islamic principles.
I think it should be fairly straight forward that this RP will be a war against these terrorists although if your nation so chooses it can back the rebels, a.k.a terrorists.
Rules:
-No godmodding, metagaming, etc.
-Please at least try to be realistic and literate.
-Be respectful to your fellow players: in the case of any disputes then please refer to me.
-In character espionage will be permitted. In fact, it may even make the game more interesting.
-I do not intend for the terrorist forces to be completely annihilated as they are supposed to be a long term plot device so if defeated they will be significantly weakened to the point of having to rebuild.
-I will be allowing both character and nation RP here, although my preference is for character RP. In fact, I'd love to see some interesting struggles between characters develop.

Side being backed: Is your nation supporting the Laasmistani government or the rebels?
Military or espionage?: Is your nation sending military support or are they spying?
Size of military: How much equipment or how many spies is your nation sending?
Additional form to fill out for character based RP:
Character name:
Age: I ask that all characters be 18+ and their skills/expertise should reflect their age. Be realistic.
Nationality: Can be Laasmistani or foreign.
Allegiances: Are they fighting for or against the rebels? If a spy, who are they spying for? Etc. Please provide all details.
History: Please provide some background about your character: who they are, why they're fighting in this war, etc.
Skills/expertise: What does your character excel at? Please provide detail and be realistic.
Personality: This section doesn't need to be super detailed. I just want a vague idea of how your character behaves around others and such.
