The BTR-800G is a four-man tank capable of carrying two infantry scouts in a back compartment. It is a compact heavy APC with a unmanned 2P192 Geran weapons suite. It sports a single 14.5mm KPS (Krupnokaliberniy Pulemyot Seidel, Seidel's Large Machine Gun, MG 131 derivative) HMG with a 1100 RPM fire rate, and a coaxial AGS-17 Plamya and PKT.

It has an APS system with IR dazzlers, smoke dispensers and Oduvanchik hard-kill APS systems with cannister based launchers in a concentric 8-cannister configuration, and uses a UTD-29M diesel 500 hp engine (55hp/ton) and weighs in at about 8.5 tons. It has a top offroad speed of 70km/h, and has all-round protection against 23mm API-T rounds, and can stop 35mm APDS rounds from the front. It has third gen IRs and an advanced laser rangefinder for spotting enemy tanks, and an antenna to connect to CT-5A command vehicles, which then in turn have active comms with SPGs, heavier IFVs, APCs tanks, ships and air support. The BTR-800G will be taking the place of the ageing BRDM-2 stocks as the "Eyes" of any Stratusian-based military operation.

North Sea, probing exercise "Star Fall"

A cold and salty breeze rocked across the North Sea in form of an ice-cold wind that carried a fresh smell of salty water from across the horizon. This wind included not just the salty smell every sailor knew but also many decoy cruise missiles, which cruise at about 12 feet above the water surface while cruising at a speed of mach-0.95. The missiles carried no warhead but instead were designed to simulate incomming AShCMs, testing the defense capabilities of the German naval vessals, mostly testing the new Nibelungen Integrated Battle Management System (IBMS), a soft and hardware system designed to link up the fleet and use the shipborn sensors and defensive firepower to launch quick reaction interceptions, protecting single vessals or an entire fleet in a network manner. Currently, it has just been outfitted on the most recently constructed or overhauled ships, manned on about 10, but with recent investments and clockwork shifts across the German dockyards, it is aimed to be outfitted on all blue-water ships within the next couple of months. From there on, it would then be outfitted as the main IBMS system on all future ships until a replacement has been developed.

Finally, the missiles crossed over the horizon, reaching the visibility range in which those can be found and tracked by radar. Now about 20 kilometers away, it would be about a minute until they hit their target, or as in this case, pitch up and fly away over it. But shortly before they came within the detection range, electronic warfare aircraft pitched into the region, conducting radar jamming, degrading the effectiveness of the long-range search radars, and additionally dropping MALDs as further harassment and for saturation purposes. But with the missiles on the ground, also ballistic anti-ship missiles, which previously had been launched by ground mobile launchers, came into detection range. Flying in a high arc, those began to pitch down torwards the ships bellow, marking their ballistic trajectory. While the crews are aware of the exercise, for the sake of realism and they have not been informed about the time and the intensity of the attack, instead, they have been given a 1-week timeframe in which it would unfold. Unlike them, the attacking force had any advantage imaginable, a previous map that included the patrol routes of the fleet, the exact ammount of ships within the formation as well as any possible piece of intelligence regarding their weapons payload radar capabilities, and papers regarding the previous exercises that included the way the crews behaved during intense jamming or air raids. All of this information was included while the attack was planned, allowing them to perfectly plan everything down to the angles at which missiles approach them or the time at which they start to jam or drop their decoys.

Admittingly, the ballistic missiles proved to be the lesser issues, tracked since shortly after their start by the volume search radars, the fleet already knew beforehand that those were coming. As they came within the range of the ABM missiles, Nibelungen started to launch an automated response, taking over the VSL cells equipped with the navalized S-500 missiles produced by Germany out of the base S-500 and launching those at the incomming ballistic missiles as they re-entered the earth's atmosphere, while the radar violently flickered its operating frequency to at least provide enough data to the S-500s so they could get close enough to lock on with their own radars. Streaking up at their maximum speed, the S-500s began to engage the incomming missiles. In quick succession, many of the targets disappeared from the radar, something that, given the jamming, would most likely not be noted by the radar operators, but still, about 80% of the incomming targets could have been destroyed, which for such a highly contested EW environment was an insanely good result. 

But the danger has not been banned, incoming and just crossing over the waves. Discriminating those from the fake targets, such as the MALDs and EW clutter, was quite a bit harder since the 3D tracking was unable to discriminate low-flying threats the same way it did with ballistic ones. But there, the backup systems began to operate. A joint sensor suite of IR and LiDAR sensors took over the role of the radars, mounting a response with waves of Cylops SAMs and IRIS-EN CIDMs, centrally coordinated by Nibelungen's advanced processors, which quickly asserted the situation and ordered an appropriate response. Nibelungen, via its artery-like system of optical fiber wirring quickly gave its plan out to the CIWS, which then began to launch an interception. Small volleys of Cylops missiles sprung into action; 6 at a time, Nibelungen guided them close enough to the incomming missiles for them to use their IR seaker for the terminal phase attack run, allowing Nibelungen to launch and guide further missiles. Far more successful, they managed to shoot down every incomming missile, breaking up the attack, which was an admittedly small launch that still managed to push the entire system to its limits, especially its cooling would need heavy improvements as the temperature reached dangerous levels while tracking many diffirent targets in a high EW enviorment.

Military Forces Announces Full Withdrawl From Rinaera and Yakenia

With the lack of any major changes of offensives in both Rinaera and Yakenia, the Independent Republic of Boldonia Military Forces publicly announced a full withdrawal of all Boldonian assets in those regions. The Independent Republic of Boldonia originally entered these conflicts in the hopes of supporting the CSL war effort in these regions, but recently many Boldonians have observed that the CSL is putting little effort in their war "effort." This withdrawal includes every Boldonian asset in those regions, all soldiers, military police, vehicles, aircraft, and ships are to either be called back to the Independent Republic of Boldonia, with certain ships being sent to the United States for repairs or refits.

In a heated statement Secretary of Defense Jack Ingram called out the CSL on its lack of support to its allies. "It is now clear to us that the Collective Security League is more bark than bite. They claim they are going to support their allies but once they get there they just sit on their butts twiddling their thumbs, almost as if they're waiting for the unskilled, untrained, plucky rebels they supposedly support to solve their problems for them." He further went on to mention his opinion on future Boldonian cooperation with the CSL stating that, "The Independent Republic of Boldonia will only provide support to the CSL if they use it, which we have seen them fail to do. The guns and ammunition we provide is not ment to sit in storage collecting dust as your enemies continue to make gains. Until the CSL can prove they truly mean what they say, we will not provide them any further support."

The Boldonian Federal Government has called upon the Yakenian Rebels, West Rinaera, and any CSL members or observers who received Boldonian aid any point after January 1, 2024 to return any and all unused weaponry and ammunition. This does not seem to be a utilitarian move, almost all indicators indicate the IRBMF is facing a unique over-production issue, but this recal is seen by many as a statement by the Boldonian Government. The Boldonian Government has stated that Eastisle Naval Shipyards and Eastisle Air Force Base are open to emergency repairs and/or refueling for CSL aircraft and vessels, even if they didn't make it clear that was the case before, but this support is all that the CSL is going to get from Boldonian anymore and that this limited support is not a show of Boldonian participation in CSL interventions. Eastisle Naval Shipyards has stated they will turn a blind eye to the reasonings that a CSL vessel needs repairs, providing emergency repairs regardless of why their needed before sending them off to a proper CSL shipyard for full repairs or wherever the CSL vessel needs to go. Regardless, Boldonian neutrality has seemingly been declared or implied as Boldonia continues to distance itself from the CSL.

Over Production? Boldonian Military Forces Supposedly Has "Too Much" Equipment

Upon Boldonian Independence several Boldonian weapons manufacturers were given subsidies and contracts were made to ramp up production to arm the new Independent Republic of Boldonia Military Forces. However with needs fulfilled and military expansion having been stabilized, with Boldonian weapons manufacturers never having left their "overclocked" production phase, the Independent Republic of Boldonia is currently facing a unique issue many military commanders both present and past would do anything to have, too much surplus.

The Boldonian Strategic Military Armament Reserve (BSMAR) has always sat on a stockpile of weaponry ranging from the Post-War period to the modern day, but with the over production of Boldonian military armament they are supposedly running out of room. The Florsid Military Vehicle Reserve in Northern Florsid's wetlands has multiple M551A3 Sheridan MK.IIs simply sitting out in the sun, some covered with a tarp some not, supposedly because the stockpile ran out of room in their warehouses and gantries to house them. Crates of weapons and ammunition are also lying around many Boldonian stockpiles and bases without a use, many of them BA 45/80 submachine guns which are produced specifically because they are quick and cheap to make, but now those benefits seem to be downsides.

In a shocking turn of events many Boldonian patrol boats and a few destroyers were recently moved to a reserve fleet, also known as a mothball fleet, in the Caldera Bay south of Boldonia City in a move that shows the Independent Republic of Boldonia Naval Forces has too many of the wrong kind of ship. In contrast however the Naval Forces continues to petition for more funds to build different kinds of ships, mostly frigates, cruisers, and logistics ships which they believe they have a shortage of. It seems the Naval Forces are the only branch that needs equipment right now as the Independent Republic of Boldonia Ground Forces and Independent Republic of Boldonia Air Forces continue to sit on their stockpiles of tanks and planes as they rot in the hot Boldonian sun. When asked whether or not they were looking to sell of their equipment, both branches stated that they are unwilling to do so due to what they believe are sensitive equipment and technologies. With support to the CSL having also been cut the Independent Republic of Boldonia Military Forces is going to sit on more equipment than they know what to do with.

The Vote

The populace of Lagosgrad had all gathered to vote. The three options were simple. Join Ukcross, Join Nyetoa, or become an independent city.

The population of Lagosgrad quite frankly were not happy to join Ukcross or Nyetoa. They just wanted more workers rights but that had spiraled into their town being mostly destroyed. So the votes were cast. 70% of the population voted, or over 9,000 people. It ended in about 1,200 for Ukcross, about 2,300 for Nyetoa and about 6,500 for an independent city.

So the Ukcrossians started to withdraw. They were not happy with the result, the only people who voted in favour for Ukcross was the small Ukcrossian elite, but of course it was not enough. They could cry tampering or that it was unfair, but they had strict orders to return to Grasden. So they withdrew, the conflict for nothing, both sides Nyetoa and Ukcross seemed to have lost, somehow.

Ever since Alexander Atreos took power over the partitioned Nyetoa 10 years ago, it seems that our policy for defense has been to rely on the CSL for protection. While we have a more impressive army then our neighbors to the north, the KTO bases on Nyetoan soil ensure that there will be no quick war if history repeats itself, and we will find ourselves at war with our northern neighbor. Those in favor of keeping our army spending at its current level, or even to drop it claim that if we don't antagonize the KTO or Ukcross then we will be safe. But let us remind the reader that the Fourth Nyetoan Ukcrossian, the war that left our glorious nation battered and broken, was purely a war of Ukcrossian aggression, and the KTO, smelling blood in the water, saw opportunity to expand there empires, leading to a decisive Nyetoan defeat and a partition of our nation. Furthermore, the ODP, the alliance that Nyetoa had joined, that provided national defense, barely lifted a finger to save our nation.

The old order is collapsing, the CSL, long believed to be a world police seems to be losing on all fronts. It seems that maybe we wont have the luxury of the CSL to guard us. Even if the CSL doesn't collapse, the KTO is growing more and more aggresive. The Gonswazans constantly threaten war, and they are warmongering all over the globe. It seems in this modern time, if Nyetoa is to survive, then Nyetoa MUST be able to stand alone, lest we fall to the darkness of communism.

Following a heated debate in the Supreme Council, Greater Marine has voted to send military aid to help Nyetoa in light of KTO aggression. In the months following the Lagosgrad incident, which recently ended with a referendum making the disputed border town an independent, free city, tensions between the Kingdom of Nyetoa and its historic enemy, Ukcross have surged once more. Fears of a repeat of the last Ukcrossian-Nyetoan war have resurfaced, an event that lead to the illegal annexation of large amounts of Nyetoan territory by Ukcross and other KTO members, notably the Military State of the Galapagos, which annexed the city of Eecet. The growing willingness of the KTO and ISD to attack CSL members too appears to have grown, as indicated by a recent speech by Gonswanza's increasingly hawkish leader Laura Ortiz, who threatened a full-scale invasion of Azmeny, the leader of the CSL, the alliance Nyetoa and Greater Marine belong to.

For this reason, the National Democratic Party advanced a motion in the National Assembly on Monday, providing M$150 billion (60 billion USD) of defensive aid to Nyetoa. The bill has been controversial: many fear that Greater Marine, being only 250km from Gonswanzan-occupied California should "tread lightly", in the words of the leader of the Liberal Party, Nathan Hurst, in the debate on the 23rd, which lasted unusually long for an administration that has previously been able to rely on strong cross-party support for its foreign and internal policy. The bill, however, passed by a solid margin of 276 - 174 in the national assembly on the 25th, and was signed into law today by President Jameson. In a brief address, he said "The world is watching how we act, and we cannot afford to compromise on protecting democracy abroad if it is to remain strong at home. Every crack in our policy, every sign of weakness or apprehension is a signal to our enemies: that we do not care enough to stop them from trampling on liberty and tearing up international rulebooks, until one day it is our turn to face their artillery and hear the sound of their rockets." The bill was welcomed by a crowd of thousands of demonstrators gathered outside the Senate building on Republic Avenue, many of whom were draped in Nyetoan and Marinian flags.

The bill contains M$150 billion of military assistance, centred mainly on air defence, with 12 Guardian long range anti air systems to be delivered in the following weeks, as well as 6000 Starshot MANPADS, 48 Aggressor AA self propelled AA guns and numerous C-RAM systems, capable of shooting down drones, aircraft and missiles cheaply and effectively. This is due to the rising threat of the Gonswanzan UAV program, which is producing increasing ammounts of "Kamikaze drones" capable of potentially overwhelming air defences, as well as the increased proliferation of cruise missile systems by KTO and ISD members. In addition, the package comes with 6000 LAT III ATGMs capable of destroying modern MBTs fielded by the KTO, as well as 75 Aggressor II MBTs and 150 SC Fox IFVs which will strengthen Nyetoa's anti vehicle capabilities. Aircraft, too have been pledged, with 20 IF-21 interceptors, an undisclosed number of UH-60 and H-160 helicopters, and 40 TF-20 light multirole fighters to be sent as soon as they become available for transfer. 50 Eagle Eye and Kestrel UAV systems too are being sent, which will give Nyetoan forces advanced surveillance capabilities providing the situational awareness that will likely prove crucial in the early phases of any conflict, and in addition, 100 155mm howitzers and shells have been committed.

Production is rumoured to have started on 5 Frigates, 3 destroyers and 4 AIP submarines, although it is uncertain whether these are being built for Nyetoa, as Marinian shipbuilding received record orders in 2023 for naval vessels making it credible another that they are for another customer. Boeing E3 sentry AWACs aircraft will also be provided, although it is probable they will remain under the control of the Marinian air force. However, either way, the decision remains a watershed moment for CSL defence of Nyetoa, and a critical moment for Marinian foreign policy.

Ethnic tensions skyrocket as Jewish student is killed on Beaufort University campus

What was supposed to be a peaceful protest organized by a pro-Palestinian organization on the campus of Beaufort University turned into a brawl as the protesters collided with counter-protesters. For those unaware, Beaufort, located on the Atlantic coast of the mainland is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in TGEC. Its largest religious minorities are Jewish and Muslim. As such, when a march was organized by Muslim students studying at the University of Beaufort, opposition was sure to arrive. Although the protest was supposed to be peaceful, as soon as Jewish counter-Protesters blocked the way of the Muslim students a brawl broke out between the two groups, with people from both sides being dragged and beat up. Campus police attempted to separate the two sides, yet that was to no avail. It wasn't until a Jewish student was beaten to death that stun grenades began being used to control the movement of the crowd. Our journalist Olivia Ulrich was there documenting the march when the incident occurred. We have compiled a timeline of events, which should make this situation easily digestible.

14:20 - A crowd of around 238 Muslim students gathers in front of the Orlando Garland Building of Beaufort University. They carry Palestinian flags and protest signs. The crows is lightly dressed.
14:30 - The group starts marching down Albert Robspierre Street towards the Faculty of Biochemistry. Traffic was blocked previously in order to ensure an orderly demonstration. The protesters use loudspeakers to shout slogans such as "From the river to the sea" while advancing towards the building.
14:56 - The protesters arrive at their destination and enter the campus of the faculty. It is suspected that they chose the Faculty of Biochemistry as their target due to the fact that its Director has expressed solidarity with Israel and that a large percentage of the students studying there are Jewish. The demonstrators begin interrupting lectures and shutting down educational activity in the college.
15:00 - The demonstrators search for the Director, Isaac Maximilov, who is in his office. They breach his chamber and begin harassing him, shouting phrases like "Remember October 7". He is not allowed to vacate the premise as the demonstrators block his way.
15:05 - Campus police escorts the official out of the crowd, with one demonstrator attempting to punch him. All activity in the faculty ends with a notice from the University Board being put out, shutting down all classes.
15:10 - A crowd of around 100 Jewish students forms up outside the building. Tensions escalate between the two groups as they shot insults back and forth.
15:20 - Campus police attempts to calm down the situation, but the two crowds come face to face with each other. People begin pushing each other and taking progressively aggressive stances. After a few minutes a Palestinian Refugee, Qasam al-Jafir punched the campus rabbi, Adam Asimov. This began a cascade of violence, with punches being thrown back and forth. A Jewish student whom we have not been able to identify brough a short knife and pulled it out in front of the demonstrators, threatening to "Slit their veins". In response to this, a group of three Arab students, one of whom was identified as being Qatari immigrant Abdul Aamir violently grabbed the student by his T-shirt and dragged him into the pro-Palestinian crowd, where he was disarmed and beat up, suffering traumatic injury and eventually being declared dead at a local hospital.
15:25 - Taking notice of the increasing violence, campus police barged into the crowd, pushing back against both demonstration groups.
15:40 - The crowds disperse in order to prevent any further violence. The University Board puts the entire campus on lockdown.

The incident which has unfolded in the normally peaceful town of Beaufort has sparked increasing ethnic tensions between the city's minorities. The Palestinian issue has been a matter of great debate and controversy in recent years, and, especially since the beginning of the War in Gaza on the 7th of October last year, these kinds of conflicts among religious minorities hace escalated throught the country. The Grand Consortian, while expressing solidarity with Israel, has condemned the excessive use of indiscriminate bombing in Israeli operations. He has issued a statement of condemnation to the pro-Palestinian protesters on campus, stating that this is not behaviour which should be tolerated in Consortian universities. Sanders looked over his airbase, and even with all of the men under his command aware of the unusual mission, they started their shifts normally without any incidents or questions asked. The work day began, and the personnel prepared for the mission, inspecting two Su-43s and a single Su-41 prepared a day prior; now both just needed a short, half hour pre-takeoff checkup and restocking of fuel and armement. Fully stocked and checked, all aircraft have been towed out of the hangars onto the side runway, where they meet up with their pilots. With their engines burning, the two Su-43s took off, first gently diving over the runways while the landing gears retracted as the airframe caught a soft breeze lifting the supermanuverable aircraft and its armement of A2A missiles into the skies, shortly followed by his wingman. 

Followed up by the takeoff of the Su-41 with the call sign GA-021 "Tao Thights," the formation began to head eastwards in the direction of the Caspian Sea. As they flew over the water, a single AWACS located on the coast began to observe not just them but also the skies in front, something that has been repeated by two ground-based radar installations and a mobile targeting radar.

Soon after, they exited the airspace of the EFU, entering the airspace over the Azmen EEZ, where they began to briefly circle above it before heading deeper into it. Shortly before entering the airspace above Azmen territorial waters, they had been warned by air traffic control, a warning they didn't reply to but instead shortly patrolled a few kilometers off the Azmen territorial waters. Soon after they crossed into it, shortly before once again being warned where they decided to shortly leave it but then again cross into it, making a final turn before heading back to their home base within the EFU.

Azmeny’s ministry of defence has confirmed the entry of EFU combat aircraft into Azmen airspace at 13:50 Azmenabad Standard Time in a ‘breach of Azmen territorial integrity.”. Air marshal Alexei Makarov confirmed in a statement to Azmeny 24 that the European aircraft had “illegally entered” Azmen airspace over the Caspian Sea, after being identified by Azmen ground based radar systems. He also confirmed that the two aircraft had been “successfully warned” by Azmen air traffic control, and exited Azmen airspace shortly after. He said Azmen air defences had acted “appropriately” and “promptly” to the intruding aircraft.

This incident comes at a time of heightened tension between the People’s Republic of Azmeny and the neighbouring European Federal Union, following an incident where an Azmen carrier battle group had been attacked by EFU naval missiles off the coast of Kostane. President Yuri Korolev warned in a televised statement of “increasing geopolitical aggression.”, while urging the EFU to avoid “rash actions”. SU-41 Super Rook Enters Production!

The SU-41, known in the EFU as the "Frog Thigh", is now being produced in Gonswanzan occupied Murmansk, and in Gonswanza, as a joint venture into advancing the absolute state of ground support aircraft in a rapidly changing world. Not only does this venture help employ civilians, it also gelps to bolster the economy, as the first aircraft will be rolling off the line soon, while added deliveries from the EFU will come trickling in, eventually.

Despite the age of the Buddy program, it will continue to serve, aiding pilots flying the Super Rook into combat and enabling a pursuit of more aggressive frontline service for the Gonswanzan airforce, noting problems encountered in Ukcross.

Speaking of, Laura Ortiz has sworn to push more forces into Ukcross along the border, while Faust claims to have plans to prepare strike bases in the region along the border, intent on reinforcing security there with Gobswanzan escalation.

The office this day was empty beside a singular man who was busy reviewing aircraft designs, reports, and various other documents. This is a typical work day in this field of work. As he hastily worked, the door opened, and in came another person with a file in hand.

"Hey, I know you're probably busy, but I don't give a fuck anyhow. I got some papers from the military, and they're all saying: We need to upgrade and modernize our frogfoot copy, aka the OGA-1. I'm pretty sure you also got the memo." The second man spoke as he interrupted the silence.

The first man stopped what he was doing, taking his glasses off to wipe them before facing the other person.

Man #1: "Yeah, it wasn't like I was reading it before you came in here and interrupted my silence, so what is your proposal?"

Man #2: "So my proposal is that instead of modernizing the existing fleet, we just make a new one entirely from scratch and just enlarge the chassis, and instead of a single gun, let's do like two autocannons so we have more guns and ammo to strafe soldiers and civilians alike. Then let's put an AESA radar or something in it, despite this being meant for close air support."

Man #1: "Why not have a pod containing the radar hooked up to the hardpoints?"

Man #2: "But that means fewer bombs and rockets that could be used to take out orphanages and schools. On top of that, since we're going to need a more powerful engine instead of designing an entirely new one, I'm pretty sure we have a large fleet of OFJ-2 fighter jets, so just take an engine or two off some of them."

Man #1: "You know, I think we should just look at foreign models because, at this point, we're basically making an entirely different thing."

Man #2: "That's the whole point; we're making an entire different aircraft, and what I said is to waste everyone's time but also hold some truth to it. Second, we could source a foreign model for our needs, but there aren't that many decent models out there, and why the hell would we do that? Anyhow, top brass would like some proposal designs by the end of next month, so I'm going to fuck off now."

After he was finished, he had to say he turned around and left the room, closing the door after him. The other guy, however, was more or less confused by this interaction, but work must be done, so he began researching for a design.

Tensions in Nyetoa: Azmeny commits over $30 billion in aid to CSL ally

President Yuri Korolev has pledged his “enduring support” for Nyetoa as tensions rise between the CSL ally and neighbouring Ukross.

Tensions between the neighbouring countries have been consistently high, and increasing following promises of Gonswanzan dictator Laura Ortiz of a military buildup in neighbouring Ukross, a KTO member. This comes after the massacre of ethnic Nyetoans in the disputed border town of Lasosgrad, in response to a strike for better wages, a move widely condemned as a war crime by the majority of the population of Azmeny. This then resulted in 800 Nyetoan troops crossing the border and entering Lasosgrad.

The conflict has resulted in a substantial military buildup by the armed Republic of Gonswanza, including short range ballistic missiles, drones and other weaponry, which has led to heightened fears of full-scale conflict between the two nations and their respective alliances. This coincided with naval actions of the coast of Kostane, which saw the Armed Republic of Gonswanza pursue a dangerously escalatory rhetoric and raised fears of conflict against the Collective Security League, of which Azmeny is a leading member.

In response to Gonswanza’s recent buildup, President Korolev signed into effect a new bill, providing military and financial aid to Nyetoa, echoing similar measures by other CSL member states such as Greater Marine. The Azmen National Diet ratified the aid package by a majority of 361 to 149 votes, hailed by President Korolev as “clear evidence that the people of Azmeny shall stand with Nyetoa in the face of aggression.”.

The aid package is said to contain $30 billion in financial aid, alongside substantial quantities of military hardware. Included are 50 B-3 main battle tanks, 20 AG-20 self propelled anti aircraft guns, and 10 SHV-1 howitzers for carrying out long range precision artillery strikes. Azmenabad has also confirmed the shipment of 2000 Soviet-era ‘Igla’ man portable air defence missiles, to counter the perceived threat of Gonswanzan drones and low flying aircraft in tandem with Azmen supplied self propelled anti aircraft guns.

Low flying aircraft, such as the recently unveiled Su-41 attack aircraft, co-developed with the EFU are seen as a potential threat as well. Rumours of the sending of Starfire air defence batteries to Nyetoa have also been confirmed earlier today by the Azmen Ministry of Defence.

The waiter nods before rushing off hurriedly. Laura looks back up at the skyline as she sees 3 jets rocket above. She looks at them noticing their Multi-role fighter jets. "Likely heading to eliminate insurgents up north" she thinks. She gets up from her seat outside the Cafe places down some dracma's and walks to a nearby car. A chauffeur opens the door for her and she sits down in the car. The Chauffeur shuts the door and walks around the front to get to the drivers door. Suddenly gunfire erupts from nearby the chauffeur is hit and thunks against the front of the car his blood splattering against the windshield. Laura shreiks in surprise as she hurriedly locks the cars doors and grabs for a gun. Her hand settles on a pistol which she grabs. Her hands fumble with a phone as she calls for police and also calls the number of the local military base in the area. Bullets hit the windows making cracks spread across it. Suddenly more louder gunfire erupts before finally it falls silent. Laura peeks out the window and sees a patrol of Roman soldiers with their weapons raised scanning for more shooters. One opens the door and helps Laura out of the vehicle.

Laura:Y-yeah. Just a little shocked up.

Even as tensions rise, more equipment is airlifted or shipped to Ukcross as Ortiz had said. Funny enough, one could also note an eerie silence as communications on the Ukcross side were jammed temporarily, though it was cleared up as an equipment malfunction.

More missiles are installed, with drones prepared, as Kashmir A tanks are deployed along with J-102s, a flyby done in said aircraft to taunt Azmeny, with Buddy I and II drones trailing the aircraft in formation. Yet, Gonswanzan positions were hidden, masked under terrain and other methods to defeat any attempts to judge the true presence of Gonswanzan units.

More artillery has been moved within range of the border, while Faust has begun to dig tunnels to infiltrate the DMZ and cross over into the Nyetoan side, using civilian volunteers. Blackbirds race over Nyetoa, gathering intelligence, as satellites listen in and harvest data on Azmeny positions.

An Aegis class is later deployed off the coast of the Gonswanzan held island, moving out to international waters to snoop on foreign communications.

New Kanaleur, Longreach Complex Plaza (former Sanctuary of the Specter's Hand), Republic Under Specters Grasp, 12:30 PM

After many years of isolation, and after various instances of despotic regimes, such as the Triarchy, the Twin Mothers, the Republic Under Specter's Grasp has finally taken itself from the midst of its last and hopefully final despot, the man only know by the people as the Specter and later known by his actual name Heinrin Iskander, the name which he had taken as a way to divert himself from the deity he had made himself out to be to the people within his cult of personality and state religion, and after such a long time coming, has finally returned to the public eye after having a long developmental period during its time in isolation. With the Grasp coming into the world as it is in full swing and better than it ever was before, recently elected head of state, current CEO of the Vassago Conglomerate and former royal advisory council member under Heinrin, Lavienne Vassago, would soon enough take to the stage upon the former royal palace, what was known as the Sanctuary of the Specter's Hand, now known as Longreach Plaza, the now repurposed government building and one of the heaviest buildings in the country, has a wide open square which surrounds it, terraces of spaces around it with only sparse buildings nearby, one of the least crowded areas of New Kanaleur.

However, with the various walls and guard structures taken down to formally open what was a large, empty yard almost a mile wide in every direction effectively separating the Specter's former home from the people, it would soon be crowded over capacity, as the mile wide "courtyard" would soon fill in with tens of millions of individuals, as the now somewhat freed television channels and cable networks had opted to tune into this momentous event before any scheduled programming would continue, leaving millions and billions more to tune further into the current events.

Soon enough, as it was advertised by the media, Lavienne was ready to go on ahead and take her stand for a small speech, an effective grand opening of not just borders, the economy, and more, but an open door to freedom and everyone across the Grasp. She had the look of a tall, slender young woman about six feet tall, her hair a solid black with a purple tint to it, the work of dye more than likely, her eyes seem to have a light tint to them, almost like a purplish color, but are primarily blue colored, with a long thin nose, and a defined tan on her skin. Her black suit was adorned with white and red, lacking the yellow traditionally seen amidst the colors of the flag that are usually worn by a government representative, but still kept the shape of a beast within its lapel printed in a white design: the silhouette of a wolf howling upwards, their snouts aimed past her shoulders on either side.

"My countrymen, within the Specter's Grasp! Each and every one of you had felt the wrath and wrought the life underneath Heinrin. Your mothers and fathers had lived under the regime of Satorin and Liliya, and their inevitable kin's wholesale slaughter that had almost destroyed our nation's union! And your grandmothers and grandfathers had survived the plight that was the Triarchy and their petty squabbling leading into a chain upon chain of civil wars, having almost left this country to the wastes. But I ask you, all of you! The billions of you that descend from the blood of soldiers, survivors, innovators and heroes! The ones who have helped aid the eventual end to the state conspiracy that was Heinrinism, the destruction of their beliefs which has left men and women sacrificed on the street, children and babies taken to cannibalism, and blood not simply spilled, but drained into the gut of those monsters which hid into the dark, that acted as phantoms over us for decades on end! Do you know what we must do to finally settle this nightmare, once and for all, and to eventually clean the slate from what was once our living hell on our terra firma?"

She would ask the crowd, as an unexpected moment would swirl across the crowd.

No true monster that Heinrin feared ever existed within the Grasp. No leviathans, dragons, underground trolls and giants looking to rise up and take their territory back, no demons, and especially no real specters. However, there would be a feeling of doubt on the final one, as what happened almost gave off the exact same effect of a possession: from the crowds of people around Longreach, to those within the city inside their apartments, businesses, restaurants, streets and alleys, watching on mobile devices or on large screens across the city, down to those who live within the underground cities below, would look on and agree to a chant across all of New Kanaleur: love. The word haunted the city, almost as if it were speaking for itself, and as Lavienne waited for things to come to calm down, she would raise her hand to help contain the people, waiting for a moment as she would take a moment for the words to ring out as loud as an asteroid crashing across the surface of the city. But soon, as she waited, Lavienne would acknowledge the chant.

"Love was what kept us together. Love not just for our country and fellow countrymen, but as well, love for the world we live in. We've prospered for long in such a climate because the love that channeled us together would be what also made us forever protected from ever falling under those regimes, and leaving us for dead. The Grasp will prosper under love, and we will ensure of it that we shall make sure that our love will forever connect us all as those under the Grasp. The nation we live in, its name, will be our scars to bear and to learn our lessons with how we should conduct ourselves. Never again will we fall under such a dark light, and those with me will help ensure of that."

Soon enough, an ensemble of individuals of various ages and builds would come on out from the midst of the crowd behind Lavienne, various individuals who are connected to the various corporations within the nation, those whom were formerly a part of royal society, and which soon enough had been the part of what had disassembled it.

"Though there may be detractors, there will be one thing certain: we as a pack, will survive everything once again, once for every single life within the Grasp if we all must! We shall live! We shall be free!"

Lavienne would move to finish her speech as she pumps her fist upward towards the direction of the moon which was thinly in view on the day’s skies, and with the signal, the new flag of the Grasp unfurls itself within the midst of the palace, the motion leading to a midst of cheers once more, the crowd moving from chanting love to the chant of the three syllables of Lavienne's name would fill in for its place, before the sight of a wing of the Grasp's "dragon slayers", a wing of ultra-heavy interceptor planes accompanied by a couple flights of escorts, would make their pass over the capital, drowning the plaza in the supersonic roar they made overhead before they were off to their first proper mission as knights of a nation opened to the world.

A blip.
To someone ordinary, it may not have seemed much.

To someone else, though, it was highly unusual.
YVH-22 was no ordinary station, not by any means - but today's transmission was somewhat... strange, even by their standards.

It was a numbers station - a rather infamous one, known to be operating from the heart of Arakhkhar.
Viktor was but one man - a middle class man, in a middle class nation of North Nixia. He sat in his apartment in Styvygrad, surrounded by the ever-present companions of notes - pages of seemingly nonsensical alphanumeric codes, and with a half-empty mug full of earl-grey tea - as he sipped, he found it bitter - overbrewed, and just a tad cold. His disappointment was soon to be overshadowed by something... fascinating.
He was someone who tad taken something of a hobby. He often wrote down the alphanumeric sequences he had heard over the radio - searching for any way to break the encryption - out of some sense of morbid curiosity.

So much so, that he was able to identify, from these codes, the type of encryption used - the most recognizable was VEKTOR-VII, the most common one in use by Arakhkhari military central command. Thus far - a code uncracked. Sometimes, however, he would get lucky - and find a VEKTOR-X code - likely signifying some kind of special operation, or some ISI contact. Neither was this cracked - but he had found it interesting.

Today's transmission, however, was out of the ordinary.

"Its... powerful. Seriously powerful. Its... range goes as far as the frigid wastes of Gholgoth."

This method - it didn't even seem to be a VEKTOR model.
Something was wrong. Terribly wrong.

No doubt, the Grigori listening posts in North Nixia had become aware of the signal. And everyone else, as well - the CSL, the KTO, the ISD - even those in Markion.
These questions were not just felt in North Nixia - indeed, those questions had been raised countless times, the world over - as countless intelligence agencies tried, and failed, to de-scramble the code. Quantum computers seemed lost - even the wisest brains could not discern what was said in this whisper which was shouted to the entire planet.
All, of course, except for its recipient, and its sender.

Ukcross and the KTO

Even as more and more Gonswanan military equipment and personnel were sent to Ukcross, the Ukcrossian government didn't even lift a finger. The skirmish had ended, sure but they would not object to extra defense, besides, why should they object? It might hurt KTO-Ukcross relations. Some news outlets saw it a bit more differently though. Newspaper headlines flashed about conspiracies by the KTO to install a new government, or that they would strip Ukcrossian independence. These did seem to find traction among more anti-KTO groups, namely the sizeable Nyetoan minority in Syomland, the isolationists in Sandsoff and the liberals in Hillsburg. These ideas though did not find any popularity with the Ukcrossian populace though. They saw the KTO as the alliance which had brought them bountiful victory, and as Gonswanans entered the country they received warm welcome by the Ukcrossian populace, with many celebrations and parties held in any town or city the Gonswanans stayed in. The Gonswanans though were met with cold eyes and harsh attitudes by the Nyetoans in Syomland, who saw them only as oppressors. This attitude stayed, but no violence was reported, lest the might of the Ukcrossian police be brought upon anyone who attempted such damaging actions.

The Ukcrossian military, especially border guards happily welcomed the Gonswanans when they came, seeing them as one of their most reliable allies, second to Relikans. Ukcrossian soldiers held small parties for Gonswanans and other KTO units stationed by the border, celebrating the, while technical loss of Lagosgrad, the blow they had delt to the Nyetoans, the proof that the KTO were the stronger alliance, the active one, the one that the Ukcrossians could rely on. The ones that had sent aid in the time of need, preventing a town from falling into Nyetoan hands. It didn't matter too much that it was independent. It relied on Ukcrossian grain anyway, so what did it matter? So the celebrations continued.

A few seconds pass as the thumping of the helicopter blades reverberates through Rues body.

"Permission granted. Transferring OC over to you commander. Stay safe"

Rue switches the channel.

"Alright Boys. Change of plans. LZ is under Hostile control. Prepare for combat."

A series of Aknowlegements are made. A couple minutes pass as the Air fleet enters Croatian airspace. As they near the Bosnian airspace Rue speaks again

"Alright boys, Weapons free. Let's show these Bosnians the strength of the imperuim"

More aknowledgements come through as the trees give way to an open feuld of rolling hills. Multiple Bosnian rebels open fire with small arms. The helicopters respond with machine guns operated from the side door, galling guns in front, and missiles and rockets on the wings. The force was consisted of two smaller forces, 1 was armed transports, and 2 was Attack Helicopters and Gunships which were firing most of the shots. Within the hour most resistance is cleared and the transports were landed. Just under 200 soldiers are disembarked at this LZ. The intervention in Bosnia had begun

Shoots flew over the river's water surface as two sides engaged each other at a range of well beyond the 200-meter-wide rhine in between them. Both gave of good shots, but one of the river banks argueably performed better in terms of fire precision and overall fire rate. Another test was done with the Milos, this time in Germany proper, with some updates done to its software based on the experiences gathered in the Azmen deserts. Milos performed significantly better if compared to the more difficult situation and the range of engagement. But software alone would not win a war, instead, a combination out of an optimal software programming and mechanical expertise would make the system that would drive over the road to victory. One issuse which became more pressing with the increased range of engagement and the more frequent movements of the upper fire control systems, which started to constantly jam or, in some cases, even outright fail beyond the point of field repairs. The dessert fight was held at a much closer distance, so it didn't need to do so many movements on short noticed also since the REDFOR was already locked behind their cover. However, with the larger number of Milos involved, this exercise has still been doubted as a success, while the development department called it an actual major success given that it exposed major technological shortcomings that would not force the program to halt but rather just force the concept into a smaller rework. The main issue at this time has been the hydralics.

As the sun rises on the day of the elections, tension hangs in the air. Across the vast expanse of the Ottoman Empire, citizens gather eagerly at polling stations, their hearts pounding as they prepare to cast their votes in the election to determine the next Grand Vizier and Grand Chancellor. Once the votes are cast, the tension fades quickly. There are no longer talks of politics at the dinner table, no longer aggressive campaigning on the television, and no longer protests calling for the removal of names from the ballot. At least not till next election season.

On the National News Network, the journalists talk and talk until they finally get to the topic of the election. The anchor takes an envelope handed to him by his assistant, rips it open, and reads the note inside. "We have results, straight from Constantinople. The new Grand Vizier is... Mustafa Gurbuz," the news anchor says. Many gasp, many sigh, many scream. People are outraged. People jump for joy. The nation is divided. Mustafa Gurbuz is of the Republican Osmanlı Cumhuriyetçi Partisi. He has campaigned on the promise of national stability and more republican policies. Everyone knows he is not stopping at just minor republican policies.

The republicans are overjoyed, some constitutional monarchs too, but many Islamists and monarchists are pissed off. In Constantinople, Izmir, Van, and other cities, many people flock to the streets in protest. The police are called to quell most of these riots as people throw bottles, Molotovs, they stab people, they throw signs, they break road signs, they destroy cars. The people are not happy. The new Grand Vizier's government is also not fully happy. It has only been 2 years since the Osmanlı Cumhuriyetçi Partisi was unbanned from Parliament. He must not disappoint his government or he might bring shame to himself, his party, and the very idea of an Ottoman Republic.

Instinctively those who had seen conflict ducked while those who were fortunate enough to not have to go through war simply looked in the direction of the explosion. A smokey air rose up from the origin of the explosion as though something had blown up, an assumption that wasn’t entirely wrong. A building had collapsed yes but it wasn’t due to war or an attack, because this was Eecet. It was simply a construction project that required the tearing down of a larger building.

While colonialism and imperialism had been condemned through the modern world those who criticized it often looked at its few failings through its long history Eecet was living proof that not all colonialism was bad. While ethnic tensions flared on the Ukcrossian and Nyetoan walked side by side in Eecet. The city itself enjoyed a higher standard of living that surpassed both that of Ukcross and Nyetoa by a landslide and despite its colonial status was often considered more democratic than both of those states. The city itself was a testament to Galapagos culture. Everywhere you went you would see sign of it from the cars people drove to the food restaurants served. Those living in Eecet emulated those who lived in Santiago and the results were clear to see. BLACKACRE DECLARES WAR ON DAPHOMIR; SEVERAL MASSACRES COMMITTED BY BLACKACREAN UNITS The Daphomir Times


After a long deterioration of relations between Daphomir and the neighbouring nation of Blackacre, Blackacrean forces launched an invasion into eastern Daphomir after a declaration of war against Daphomir. The president of Blackacre, Kilar Brolai, claims that Daphomirian soldiers routinely violated their border security and occupied several borderland territories, to which Daphomir denies this. Brolai has also stated that Blackacre would not go down as easily as Bigtopia did all those years ago, due to Blackacre having a significantly more powerful military than Bigtopia, which got completely partitioned by Daphomir and The Fatherland of Dueschland in the Bigtopia-Daphomir War, several years ago.

After Daphomirian forces successfully liberated the town of Jaimor, they found numerous bullet-stricken bodies next to the town's city hall building; clear evidence of a massacre. Similar situations have been reported in many occupied territories, and news of Blackacrean atrocities has begun to spread abroad, with friendly Daphomirian neighbours condemning the actions of Blackacre. As for the front lines, Daphomirian forces have managed to stabilize the front, and are already making plans for a large counteroffensive to liberate the remaining occupied territories. Leader acknowledged in a press conference that, "This won't be as easy as Bigtopia; Blackacre is a very capable country. We will display to them the full might of Daphomirian nationalism and ensure that they are PUNISHED for this unprovoked attack on our lands!"

It was an ordinary night for an air surveillant (OOC: idk the proper term don't kill me) until he saw a blip appear on his RADAR out of nowhere. He waved over he supervisor, "this guy is getting really close to one of our semiconductor foundries, I'm going to give him a stern warning" "attention unknown aircraft you are about to enter a no-fly zone, if you proceed you will be subjected to anti-aircraft fire!"

Suddenly the blip teleportred to into the no-fly zone, "What the hell?!" The air surveillant's supervisor ran to a phone, "anti-aircraft batteries open fire on unknown aircraft violating airscape." The air surveillant threw off his headphones and looked pale, "Damn thing gave me the loudest blood curdling scream I've ever heard!" He looked at his RADAR screen once again, "holy shit, 200 large supersonic high altitude objects just appeared out of nowhere, likely bombers; we are under attack!"

25 minutes ago there were reports of airraid sirens going off in Socialist Gestachia, quickly followed by flashes in the sky, presumably by anti-aircraft fire, the Gestachian Extensible Comprehensive Alert Dissemination System(GECADS) has been activated, Gestachia's emergency population warning system, which can among other things override radio and TV broadcasts, override Gestachian IXPs to transmit emergency IPv6 packets over the entire part of the Gestachian internet, activate airraid sirens, transmit cellular broadcasts, and send alerts over electric power transmission lines, as a result information is currently very hard to get out of the country due to radio overrides and low bandwidth on the Gestachian portion of the internet due to large amounts of emergency IPv6 packets being sent eating up said bandwidth.

It is currently believed that citizens are being ordered by GECADS to either take shelter or aid in air defense, it is also currently believed that the Gestachian Red Rocket Force, the Gestachian Red AirForce, the Air Fleet of the Ministry of State, Internal, and Interior Security, and the Air Fleet of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of State, Internal, and Interior Security are currently attempting to intercept and shoot down supersonic high altitude bombers, yet no nation has claimed responsibility nor there has been any reported bombing.

(OOC: This was the best image that I could find of "large amount" SAM batteries opening fire at a large scale at night, I had to edit the image to it actually looks like it is taking place at night. I didn't want to use images of AA gun fire because Socialist Gestachia has a modern military.)
