In Aumbura's capital city of Fischer there stood Rosebarough Hall. The site had played host to many international meetings, and today was no different. Tailed by numerous security guards, Aumburan Minister of Foreign Affairs Markus Straub walks alongside the Aumburan ambassador to The Marajarbian Federation, Gloria Holdswald. Any moment they expected the arrival of Marajarbian officials. Numerous reporters attempted to ask questions, but Straub and Holdswald ignored them, and remained stone-faced. Entering Rosebarough Hall, the two soon took their seats in what was to be the meeting room. Adjusting his tie, Markus Straub took another look over his agenda for the meeting.

The Marajarbian Government would send David Jonas to represent Marajarbian interests in this arrangement, which would include the signing of a trade deal and infrastructure agreement, something which was considered of value, primarily to help restore Marajarbian influence to levels even greater to the days before the KTO. The move was also to promote the upcoming Global Union of Allied States (GUAS), an alliance currently under development, but rumored to be a major improvement over the former Global Confederation of Nations.

Holdswald and Straub both welcomed Jonas to the premise. They three shook hands before each taking their seat. Straub, as usual, elected to be the first to speak.

"I hope you're doing well on this fine morning, Mr. Jonas. I understand that your nation has interest in strengthening its diplomatic ties with Aumbura. It is my understanding that you wish to strike both a trade deal and an infrastructure agreement. In concept, I desire those things as well, however there are many nuances involving our country's decision to distance itself from The Marajarbian Federation that I think you must understand before any deal is proposed."

Straub continued.

"Firstly, Aumbura is in a precarious position at the moment. Following the invasion of Ukraine by Trans-Uralia, our neighbor Poland has been facing similar threats from them. If, hypothetically, Poland were ever overtaken, Trans-Uralia would be right on Aumbura's doorstep. Now I'm confident in our military. We have one of Europe's strongest. However, the possibility of warfare or bloodshed to any degree is undesirable, and Trans-Uralia's actions make it no secret that they have one goal and one goal only: expanding its own power. I believe that I need to be fully transparent with you. Should Poland fall, or even be invaded, Aumbura will attempt to join the KTO for protection. Does this affect your prepared proposal?"

"No, it does not. Andreusville is more than well aware of Aumbura's good relations with many of KTO's members, including the Janpians. However, recent reports have suggested that KTO's reputation on the international stage is in the gutter, after the assassination of a Marajarbian diplomat at the hands of the Countesians in Aursian peace talks, and after the Janpians massacred humanitarian reinforcements and destroyed supplies by bombing one of Marajarbia's ships, causing international backlash. Personally, it might not exactly be a very wise decision to join KTO or attempt to join in due to these ongoing events."

"We are well aware of the KTO's imperfections. However, if we must choose between an invasion, or joining the KTO, the choice is simple. Besides, there are few other existing alliances that are as strong as the KTO that I trust to protect Aumburan sovereignty."

Plenty of countries buy them from us, including France, The Netherlands, and Germany. Cargo containers are also built en masse, with improvements being made each and every day to make them as durable as possible. They're being designed to keep products contained and safe even in the unlikely event of a spill."
