Northumbria/Madinat Al-Tharwa war (IC/MT/TG to enter)

Postby Madinat Al-Tharwa » Fri Oct 07, 2022 3:27 am

Northumbria has declared war on Madinat Al-Tharwa in response to the ruling class of the latter describing many of their citizens as “silly” including the police.

In response, Madinat Al-Tharwa has returned the declaration, many of the reserves are called up and 64 fighter planes are sent to Northumbria.

"Millions must die... for this insult to Northumbria," says Alvin Ashleigh.

"The amazing thing is that Tony Blair being shot in the head after running a barricade for inexplicable reasons is one of the most plausible episodes in this RP,
which comes across as House of Cards by the writers of Mr. Bean."

IC: The planes strike a naval base, an army barracks and a factory believed to be used for armaments manufacture.
OOC: please post casualties.

Northumbrian air defences shoot down the planes before they can reach the naval base at Hartlepool. New Clifford's Fort in Tynemouth is destroyed, as is the infamous Greggs factory in Durham where a man from Sunderland fell into the cheese pasty machine two years ago. 32 people are killed, all but 5 of them at the Greggs factory.

Alvin Ashleigh mocks Madinat Al-Tharwa, saying that more Northumbrians were killed in the stampede for the Greggs cheese pasties than in their airstrikes.

OOC: Because Northumbria only has one naval base and it would be unsporting for you to knock the Northumbrian navy out of action just like that.

barracks from your side.

“Exactly, infact more Northumbrian civilians have killed themselves or been killed by each other than we will kill in this entire war.” Says the head of the Air Force before saying “but we will kill more soldiers than the 5 killed so far plus the 40 civilians killed by their own people.”

IC: he dodges, they were close allies to the Munkcestrians for many decades and never once betrayed their trust.
In retaliation, they decide they will attack an Air Force base.

OOC: How were they allies?

OOC: under the National-Unionists, especially the Fenwicks, due to their shared support for slavery.
Why wouldn’t the Fenwicks ally with them?

Also the Air Force is smart because it’s very competitive to get into.

IC:
The head of the Air Force is dead. He is awarded the Hamza Crescent and replaced with Ziya Al-Haq ‘The Bomber’ Al-Harb known for his total war doctrine.

He launches another air strike on the same Army barracks
(OOC: And they did manage to get an army barracks as an OOC sporting agreement involving me allowing that they didn’t get the naval base) and one on an air base.
48 planes target the Army base whilst 64 target the air base.

Northumbria celebrates.

OOC: see above.

IC: After bombing a Gregg’s bakery, the 64 Air Force planes attack the air base.
In addition, the 48 planes are within firing range of the army barracks.

OOC: if you evacuate the base the Northumbrian Air Force may manage to arrive in time to shoot down the planes, however, that mean the Madinat Al-Tharwa Air Forcr will completely destroy the base.

OOC: yeah true, this time they’re bombing the repair people.

IC: they bomb the people rebuilding the barracks then fly around bombing random businesses.

OOC: you could probably repel the fighters attacking the air base.

(Backdated to earlier) After realising the repair people hadn’t arrived, the 48 planes bombed random businesses and then fly to the airbase where 64 planes had already arrived.
