The trip to Insaanistan was definitely an...interesting one. SACHI, being an artificial intelligence, needed to use a digital display on wheels as a stand-in for such physical events. Unfortunately, Darlingtown did not have any planes that could plausibly reach Insaanistan even with frequent stops and was unable to use commercial flights due to security concerns. Travel by ship would have been too slow as well. In the end, SACHI had to resort to shipping herself through the mail and hiring a team of techs to assemble her remote platform at its destination. Though she was sure that this, at least, would make for an interesting story some day.

Nevertheless, SACHI eventually arrived at the presidential palace all the same. She was slightly late, as in the middle of her journey to the palace proper a local clothier caught her eye and she felt compelled to purchase a dress to decorate her drab remote platform with. Sufficiently happy with her choice in wear and eager to meet the Insaanis and their guests, SACHI entered the palace.

“What?” The Sultan asked. “This is impossible.” He added. “Before Asim Tamzali there was a Sultana, Soraya Khan. She’s dead now killed during the May 2021 coup but she was Sultana then her sister Nura Khan took over but went missing. Asim took control of the country from her.”

I don’t understand. The Sultan thought. How can he not remember them? Maybe he was too young. But he can’t be that young. Something is wrong terribly wrong. “Do any of those names mean anything to you?” The Sultan asked.

“I’ve never heard of a single one of those names in my life,” he said. “That’s simply preposterous. Besides, two of those people had the last name Khan. That’s a South Asian name, and as of yet, Insaanistan hasn’t had any leaders that weren’t born in Africa.” Turning to White he replied, “Don’t worry, it’s quite alright.” Jokingly, he added, “Everything’s GMO or organic, the only difference is one is expensive!”

“Oh.” The Sultan said.

“What’s the matter?” The Sultana asked.
“You know Soraya, Nura and the others, right?” The Sultan asked.
“Of course we practically helped raised Nura’s kids.” She replied.
“It’s so strange. He hasn’t heard of any of them. Something’s not right.” The Sultan said.
“Something isn’t right at all.”

“We were all just trying a bit of White’s soda,” he explained. “You haven’t missed much yet, really.”

Well, glad to hear that, I can actually text the boys down in shipping, right now if you want." exclaims Chaim's "Yeah, you gotta hand it to the lab boys, they know how to make a good Pomegranate." he chuckles a little as he can feel everyone's curiosity linger. "Right, I probably should have let you know, um, the reason it doesn't have any perspectives is because its a Genetically modified Pomegranate." White puts his hands to his side. "I would have told you sooner, but like, I didn't want to make a bad impression. Sorry."

Genetically modified pomegranates? Did it mean the taste was modified as well? President Amrani took the new revelation with fascination. This nation had a certain dedication, a determination to make their soda possess a rather specific taste. Certainly it was not a branch of science unknown in Laasmistan, but a preference for natural foods seemed to have exploded all over the nation. GMO's, while present everywhere, were grown more for longevity and resilience to the elements than taste. Nonetheless, the president did become interested. There was definitely a market for the drink within her nation, provided a deal was made tonight.

"This changes nothing. You could have very well opened up a new market." The president finally replied. "Besides, our people are always looking for alcohol-free alternatives. Sodas, teas, and other such beverages sell quite well in Laasmistan." It was true that civilians, particularly the youth, needed encouragement to stay away from alcohol. While it was not outright banned within the nation it was often frowned upon, particularly by the more religious members of society. It easily created tension, and even isolation that led to reaction on both sides. Conflict, well, it was one of those things the President was trying to avoid. Reaction could lead to alienation and it was often the alienated that the Islamists preyed upon. They especially had to be cracked down upon by any means necessary, and the the President did not want to resort to violence unless absolutely necessary.

"As to not steal the spotlight from our hosts tonight perhaps we can have a proper meeting tomorrow morning. I would love to discuss official trade deals with you." The President finally announced to the Neptunvian delegates. There was a time and place for such ordeals, but tonight was for Insaanistan. They had taken a big step for any nation, coming back into the world after so many years of isolation. It was crucial to make them feel welcomed into the international community.

The landing ramp lowers down and a beautiful woman of Japanese decent walks down the ramp and looks around with raised eyebrows thinking, "Wow, nice palace they have.. Izumi walks inside the palace and noticed two men talking so she walks over and introduces herself, "Hello, I'm Hitomi Izumi. Please call me Izumi. I'm the Secretary of Defense for the New Martial Kingdom of American Pere Housh."

"Ay Mikoto, did you hear that? Insaanistan, the country which isolated itself for more than 16 years, has just decided to reopen its border to other countries and end its self-isolation."

"Yeah, I saw it from their official website. Although we have never communicated in even history, I think it is a great chance for us to start a diplomatic relationship and assist their adaption to the broad world."

Mikoto took a sip from her cup of tea.

"So it seems to be another tough moment for me to write a long letter. Diplomacy is always tiring!"

About 2 hours later, the Chancellor will send a classified letter sent directly to the Government of Insaanistan...

Socialist Federal Republic of the Aquaria Congratulation to the Freed Country To whom it may concern, Knowing the recent activities done by the government of Insaanistan, which ended the 16 years status of Isolation of the country, we hereby praise the action of President Mahamat Abdoulaye, and also congrats all citizens of Insaanistan for their restoration of freedom. While the Aquaria and Insaanistan have had no relationships and communications in their whole history, we found it great that this is an excellent chance for us to start one. “I have prepared a statement that I would like to share with the people of Insaanistan. Our nations are very close and in a way these last 16 years have been lonely but it’s time to rekindle the relationship between Mosarat and Insaanistan.” The Sultan said.

Suddenly, there's a Vibration on Chaim's phone. He picks it up and looks down. Already? he thought to himself. "Hey, sorry, I need to just step out, I forgot some of my prescription pills in the car. As SACHI entered the palace, she looked about the room starry-eyed. Sentient emus, a woman with fox tails and ears, and pomegranates the size of a head...so many new and fascinating things were already beginning to fan the flames of curiosity in the AI. Even though she was here to primarily speak with Mahamat Abdoulaye and other Insaanis, she absolutely had to learn more about the others as well.

Slowly making her way to the refreshments, tried to SACHI watch on in a nonchalant manner. Which wasn't much, considering she was a telepresence robot standing alone next to a table of things she couldn't actually eat. In fact, in her attempt to "blend in" she actually made herself seem more awkward and strange. But SACHI was as-of-yet oblivious to this as she tried to watch and listen to the others from a distance.
